Went to an art therapy class on Monday and used the same idea for my small 6th grade class. Need: Big paper Markers Paint (optional) First, we write our names with ONE STROKE of a marker. Do this without lifting the pen from the paper. And for fun, this is done with your eyes closed. ^^ Second, draw what ever you want. Scribble away, draw away, just put the pen on the paper and go. Third, find pictures within the scribbles and outline them. Maybe you can find a fish within the scribbles? Outline the body. Perhaps there is a polar bear having a coke? Make him stand out by using a dark color for his outline. It gets the creative part of our brain working! Fourth, after a few minutes of this, have everyone tell what they found on their paper. Fifth, create a title for the masterpiece. Sixth, if there is time, have the participants create a story of all they found on their paper. Like... One upon a time, there was a polar bear. He loved drinking Cola, but one day, a magic fish told him he should try Pepsi instead! The polar bear tried the new drink and loved it! It's a fun art activity for your kids and even adults have fun doing it. You can teach your kids the message that "you can create something out of nothing" or "focus on the details instead of the big picture".

Hello! I haven't been active on Tumblr in years, so I'm going to take some time over the next few weeks to catch us up on my art! I've fallen into the Naruto fandom over the past couple of years, and so I thought I would start with some random sketches of the characters!

Back when I was in school I did this drawings as a way to let go of some stress. My idea was to draw art of the sand siblings but in the style they wanted from me in class.

All of the dots, spots, swipes, squares, dabs, hatching, lines ... 😍It’s mark making heaven and we’re in love. This lovely piece is by our final Top 3 Scrawlr for the #093 ScrawlrBox, Tess. Excellent layering of marks and colours to create this wonderfully bright and abstract image. The use of perspective is the added cherry on top, it looks like an alternative reality we want to jump into and explore! Absolutely stunning work. ⁠ -⁠ We asked Tess, what was your favourite way to use the Ecoline Markers?⁠ “I really enjoyed using the Ecoline Markers as stamps, for mark making and also laying the colour down on a a palette to use as subtle watercolour. Painting in action by our #092 ScrawlrBox featured artist, Candace Fincher 🍃⁠ -⁠ We asked Candace, How do you begin your creative process? “My creative process begins with lots of thinking. I wish that I were the type of artist who could keep a sketchbook but so much of my work begins inside my head. I brainstorm while driving, caring for my children, or lying in bed awake at night. After I have an idea mostly developed I take it either straight to the final draft paper or more recently into procreate where I can play around with it before finally printing my procreate drawing onto my watercolor paper.
