Okay. We'll start with XIV:

Szah'li, I'm pretty certain, is ace - which suits Alisaie just fine, because she really codes that way in my headcanon, as well. Neither of them is particularly aro - they definitely want in on the cuddles and hand-holding and just general romance part of a relationship, but neither of them has much if any sexual urges. Szah'li's had sex - he slept with Ranaa Mihgo, the dancer girl, but it was a kind of friendly thing and she's the one who initiated it and took charge the whole way through. He enjoyed it okay, but it didn't exactly ring any bells for him.

SW:TOR:

Satele Shan has a soft spot for her granddaughter, Ishani, though she's very careful not to show it when she knows anyone's watching. Both Theron and Nikali have caught her, though, stealing into the nursery late at night to cuddle the girl, and they know at least some of the Force tricks the girl has picked up came from the ex-Grandmaster, and not from the Enclave creche where she spends her days while her parents are working. They don't let her know they know, however - and she doesn't let them know that she knows they know.

Mass Effect:

Savannah and Kaidan knew each other when they were kids. Her parents, Hannah and Sabien Shepard, were good friends to Kaidan's parents, and they visited them on Earth once on vacation. Savannah and Kaidan hit it off well and remained pen pals up until his dust-up on Jump Zero. After that, they lost touch except for the occasional crossing of paths during the course of their respective careers - until, one day, they both ended up assigned to the Normandy.

Dragon Age:

Liandyn Trevelyan's best friend is Dorian, and Cullen not only approves of their relationship, he encourages it. After the events of Trespasser, Liandyn wanted to make a trip home to Ostwick, and Cullen suggested that Dorian join them at least until they reached her family, since he was planning to head back to Tevinter anyway. Neither Liandyn nor Cullen mind Dorian flirting with Cullen; although the knight commander has no interest in that direction, he's amused by it. So he's happy to have Dorian along for the ride.

And Liandyn happy to have Dorian come home, because she knows her younger brother has... leanings.

[Hello, everyone. Can you hear me in the back? I don't think I can turn it up, but I can try to raise my voice. Okay. Excuse me. Hello, everyone. I am so moved to see you all here this evening. Despite the tragic circumstances that have brought us here, I am grateful to be with you. I feel the goodness and the strength and the power of our gathering, as I always do when the trans community convenes. If you don't know me, my name is Leigh Finke. My pronouns are she, her, hers. I serve in the Minnesota Legislature and am the chair of the queer legislative caucus. I am here at the invitation of Thomas Edison High Gender and Sexuality Alliance. Thank you so much to the student organizers behind this event for recognizing--yes, yes--for recognizing the importance of gathering us here together to grieve for Nex Benedict.

Nex died in Oklahoma 15 days ago, one day after they were assaulted in the bathroom of Owasso High School. They were a stranger to us up here in Minnesota, but Nex is part of our queer family. In the 15 days since Nex's death, we have learned that they loved hard rock music and playing Minecraft. We have heard about their love for their cat, Zeus. We have heard of the light and the big dreams that Nex carried inside of them. According to loved ones, Nex had a caring and generous spirit. Nex sounds like the kind of kid we would all have loved to know. It is tragic to learn of such a wonderful life only after that life has been ended by violence.

In the days since this news broke, I find myself unable to stop apologizing to Nex. I am sorry for what happened to you. I am sorry that you will not live to find your way in this world, that you will not find love and feel heartbreak and find love again, once or twice or ten times over. I am sorry that you won't experience the radical joy of queer adulthood. I am sorry that you will not live the fullest realities of a whole human life. You should have had that. You deserved to have everything and you won't. And I am so sorry. And tonight, seeing so many young faces gathered here for this purpose, I want to say to you also, I am sorry. I am sorry to all of the trans and non-binary and two spirit people. Whatever age you are, whatever stage you are at in your process of becoming, whether you are out or not yet out or not yet even aware that one day you will be out; I am sorry. You should not have to live in a world where your kin are killed for the fact of their existence. You should not have to hold inside of you what you feel tonight. And finally, I am sorry to have to tell you that you always will. This is the tragic reality of the movement for queer liberation.

There is a timeline of death that binds us. 30 years from now, you will tell people that 2024 is the year Nex Benedict died. You will tell them how this moment shaped you. You will remember Nex in your mind forever. Whichever image it is that you conjure up here tonight, in your mind, you will hold it forever. You will carry Nex with you as my generation of queers carry Matthew Shepard with us. I was 17 in 1998 when Matthew was murdered by his peers in a small town in Wyoming. I was a closeted queer kid at the time, and I cried and cried like we all did. In my mind right now, I see Matthew in black and white, holding a phone between his head and his shoulder. I don't know why this photo of Matthew was the one that I have clung to, but I see it when I think of him. You will carry Nex with you, as many of us carry Brandon Teena. Brandon, I see in color, an old worn photo of a young man, unsmiling, blinking into the camera. He sits in a car on some night on some road in some small town in Nebraska. Just a random photo splashed across a newspaper in the 90s and on the internet, taken not long before Brandon was murdered by his peers in 1993. These are the faces seared in my brain, but they are not the only ones that should be. In the years since the murders of Brandon and Matthew countless black, brown and indigenous members of our trans and queer family have been murdered. Dozens of our family members are murdered every year across the country. Savannah Ryan Williams, descendant of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa, was murdered only two months ago, not far from where we stand.

And now we are gathered for our non-binary family member, Nex Benedict, descendant from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, killed by their peers at 16. 16 years old and a whole life ahead. It is too heartbreaking. It is too common. Nex has taken their place on the timeline of our losses. Let the memories of our lost loved ones be the heavenly firmament that lights our loving, joyful liberation movement for all to see. Let us commit together to remember Nex's light, and let us once more recommit to doing everything in our power to never be here again. Thank you.]

jess shepard, a dating history.

overall, jess began dating fairly late considering how her teenage years were quite a mess and that was honestly the last thing on her mind. she didn't exactly have crushes either and if she did, she wouldn't have been able to pursue them. she only really started thinking about these things once she's been in seattle for about a year. when she started college was when she made her first experiences. with savannah as her room mate who was encouraging her to approach people. during her first year, some flirts here and there but that was about it. it was during her sophomore year - she was about 19 - when she fell head over heels for a guy named Eli. Eli was a good guy, sweet and very artistic. they dated for about a year and a half until he graduated and moved back home to the west coast. they tried to do long-distance but Eli eventually broke up with her. they tried to keep in touch over the years but they don't talk a lot anymore. Vickie was next. they ran into each other during jess' senior year and hit it off immediately. they became friends first until jess realized she was feeling a little more than just friendship here. though she struggled for a minute to accept her own sexuality there and kept Vickie at arm's length until she was ready to really unpack that part of herself - all of which they talked about during countless late night conversations. jess still eternally grateful for her patience and support even as she came out to her grandparents when she was about 23. they dated until jess was halfway through med school - for almost three years. their lives were developing into vastly different directions and they were hardly seeing each other anymore. they broke up but remained friends. jess even attended Vickie's wedding a couple of years later. last and definitely least is Tobias. even though her breakup with vickie was amicable, it did hit her pretty hard. for a few months, she was dating around - as much as her schedule allowed her - and one of those dates was Tobias. compared to Eli and Vickie, he was more of your typical wannabe bigshot macho. he was nice enough at first for jess to be lulled in. he rarely showed up for her and if he ever did, he did so complaining and/or distracted by something else. very often, he called her clingy and overbearing for the most basic of things - but also when she asked for support after she got the notice her father had passed but instead he left her to deal with it by herself while he went on vacation. the last straw for her however was when she caught him cheating with a woman in her own apartment (needless to say she moved after that) and also found out, he'd been cheating on her here and there for almost the entire time they've been together. three and a half year relationship ended abruptly and she has not talked to him since.

Drew a bunch of Kobolds for my world building project. I did this all with mouse and keyboard on Krita, something I probably should've just done with a tablet.

I also tried adding an artist signature, didn't know how that would work out. I've never done an art piece this big with mouse and keyboard, mostly just messed around instead of anything serious, I also usually just use the pixel art medium instead of using different pens.

Anyway, here's a small description dump. I really hope this collapses and it doesn't end up as a 3-mile-long wall of text.

Goes from Left to Right, top then bottom.

Common Kobold: the most widespread kobold. These kobolds are not particularly adapted to any environment, and usually spend most of their time in cities alongside humanoids. As the most abundant species, they vary wildly in behavior. Their diet varies from individuals, but by their nature, they are not picky eaters.

Jungle (Tropical) Kobold: Jungle kobolds are one of the least common kobold species, only found in jungles and tropical wooded areas around the world. They are an arboreal species, building villages within large trees and canopies. Their thick plumage of pseudo-feathers allows them to glide from tree to tree with ease. Jungle kobolds usually have a more passive or easygoing personality. Their long snout is adapted for eating fruits off of trees, bugs inside logs, and fish.

Subterranean Kobold: kobolds who spend most, if not their entire lives in the underground. Their lack of contact with prolonged sunlight leaves them with colorless skin and near blindness, however they do possess great hearing and night vision. Their claws allow for accelerated digging compared to other kobolds, and their meat is poisonous for most organisms. Despite their secluded lifestyles, these kobolds are often friendly and welcoming of visitors. Their environment leaves these kobolds to feast on whatever they can get a hold of, including roots, bugs, and barely edible materials.

Marine Kobold: Despite their stout and cute appearance, marine kobolds are fierce hunters and formidable in battle. While they are not outwardly aggressive, their home beneath the waves and kinship with aquarians and orcas has hardened them into creatures that do not fear battle with leviathans. They are curious by nature, but not always the most talkative to land-folk, and prefer conversation with aquarians or orcas, of which they live alongside. They feed on fish, crustaceans, and marine algae.

River(Swamp) Kobold: The default tallest kobold. Their long bodies and powerful tail make them flexible and agile creatures. They excel in freshwater bogs and swamps, often finding work in river or lakeside villages. River kobolds are also the most fur-covered of any kobold, with fur covering almost every part of their skin. River kobolds are loving and family-oriented individuals, often seeking quick friendship with any sapient individual. They eat fish and freshwater crustaceans and will rarely hunt larger animals that get close to the water's edge, often hauling in their catches to villages to flaunt their victories.

Highland (Mountain) Kobold: Hardy kobolds found at high elevations. They are covered mostly in wool-like fur, the rest in dark, hardy scales. Their horns are curved and are often used as symbols of strength. They Shepard flocks of sheep, selling the wool, including their own, to make money for food. Otherwise, they use the wool to create warm clothes and shelter from harsh windy cold of highlands or the snowy peaks of mountains. They are social, but not very talkative, as they are nomadic and always on the move. There is very little food where they live, so they eat what they can.

Dryland Kobold: Kobolds that live in dry environments, such as savannahs and deserts. Their bodies are built for speed and efficiency, with long legs built for speed, being the fastest kobolds around. Their large ears allow them to hear very far in the long, flat plains they live in. Their spines on their back store water for long periods and also provide some defense from plains predators. They are skittish but friendly, usually always on the move. They eat primarily bugs but will eat bigger gain if other animals take it down, or they team up.

Temperate Kobold: These kobolds prefer the colder, coniferous environments of taigas, tundra and temperate rainforests. These hunters climb trees and ambush prey from above, often teaming up to take out much larger targets as a team. Their coats change from white and green depending on their environments, whiter in snowy tundra, and greener in rainforests. Temperate kobolds are stoic and confident, but quietly love attention and affection, especially from other kobolds. They eat primarily meat and forest produce, like berries, moss and pinecones.

Dead Forest Kobold: the rarest and most desperate kobold. These individuals struggle from a lot of environmental issues, growing up in a literal dying ecosystem. They are often very scrawny and brittle-boned but are filled with determination and will. Despite their unfriendly appearance and initial defensive nature, they often open up in safe environments. They have hardly anything to eat, and will eat anything they can, especially when out of the dead forest.

Draconic Kobold: Magically created kobolds, infused with the blood of dragons. They are usually mostly scale-clad, but often have mains of fur. They are tough, strong, and determined. They take a lot of time to warm up to others but make strong allies. They are not picky eaters. These kobolds communed with the ancient dragons, as they shared their blood, but when all of the dragons died, they lost their purpose. (This individual is also an Urd).

Additionally:

Urds: Various bloodlines of kobolds started by draconic kobolds. This occurs when a kobold presents a mutation that gives them a third pair of limbs, wings. These wings are powerful and magical in nature. These wings are some of the only limbs on sapient creatures that can be regrown. Roughly 30% of all kobolds carry or express the winged mutation. Any kobold can carry the mutation, but expression varies on species.

travis was born to a third generation farm rancher and a hair stylist , in hinesville , georgia . the buckley house was one full of music and laughter . a family that genuinely loved the company of one another . from a young age travis took a particular liking to the record player in the family room , playing music whenever he could get away with it . before his little sister could so much as walk he was teaching her the words to all the best country songs from the 80s , even as a child he thought music was the best form of bonding . it wasn’t long before he started singing in the church choir , his own little escape from the mundane work that came with going to school or helping out around the ranch whenever his father needed an extra hand .

most people like him never even so much as left their small town but at a young age his parents knew travis’ life called for so much more than taking over the ranch , he wasn’t meant to be hidden away in some small town in georgia . he was a dreamer with enough talent to actually do something more with his life . over the radio one morning the family learned of auditions for young actors that were going on in savannah , georgia . the way his eyes lit up , said it all to his parents . that weekend they packed up their pick up truck and headed to the city . he didn’t get the part he went for , his parents ready to give him words of encouragement but travis didn’t need them claiming on his own “ i’ll get the next one “ . something of a promise to himself . now back home in hineville , he had something new to be passionate about and it didn’t take long for him to start trying out for local plays ( most of which were done through the church they attended ) . he was getting lead parts within a couple years of doing it , the next time an audition came around he knew he’d be ready for it . his confidence and hard work was rewarded at thirteen when he booked his first gig . a recurring character on a tv show shooting in atlanta . his mom , being his biggest supporter played taxi driver regularly for him . three hour drives filled with the two of them going over his lines and when he finally felt comfortable with them the two turned up the radio and revisited his first love , music .

the door was now open for him and he started booking more and more roles . during dry spells he would spend his nights at karaoke spots , never really losing his love for music . everything changed when he got the role of j.d in thelma and louise , it was his big breakout role and it seemed everything he’d worked for had finally come to a head . all eyes were on him . a few more movies later and reality struck he couldn’t continue on this career path and live in hineville so he made the big leap and moved to hollywood . admittedly he was like a fish out of water and without his family around he began to slip into the uglier parts of the industry . a once sheltered country boy had turned into a man controlled solely by his vices . it was after the premiere for inglorious bastards that travis seemingly disappeared . neither his friends nor his agents knew were he’d gone . hollywood’s heart throb had gone missing , without a word .

he’d decided at the night of the premiere that with the help of his family he would check into a rehab facility in georgia . at the time he was ready to wipe his hands clean of acting and hollywood as a whole . he just wanted to feel like himself again , truthfully . after a little over a month he was released from the inpatient facility and bought a house as close to his father’s ranch as he could . it was ironic , growing up he never wanted to be hidden away in the state he grew up in and now here he was doing just that . it was a couple years of playing the part of a rancher when some of his childhood friends came up with a plan to get him out of his hiding . what was only meant to be a boys trip to nashville turned into travis meeting country singer luke bryan , who he would later write a catalog of songs for .

once again , travis decided to take a leap and moved to nashville in late 2012 . he performed at local bars for a few months before he was approached by a music executive , it wasn’t much longer before he was signed a record label and working on what would be his debut album . the media fell into a frenzie , naturally . magazines all over the country talking about how the heartthrob had thrown away his scripts for a guitar . he didn’t pay the media much mind though , deciding to leave that to his team . if he had made anything clear it was that he didn’t care about the fame that came knocking at his door at such a young age , he just wanted to do something meaningful .

in 2014 , he released his self - titled debut album and a year later won the acm new artist of the year award . he was steam rolling forward with music , with no intentions to ever look back on his acting days . that was until he met his current girlfriend , an actress shooting a film in nashville at the time . he fell for her fast and hard and before he knew it the distance was something of a swear word . it was just a year in and she approached him with an opportunity to get back into acting . he’d convinced himself for years he wanted nothing to do with acting ever again , it had turned him into a shell of himself but she was quick to remind him that he was a different person now and far to talented to never pick up a script ever again . with her support he returned to the big screen as tyler durden in fight club . throughout filming he refound his love for being in front the camera and with every award or accolade that came afterwards he was quick to fit the one person he owed the resurgence of his acting career to into his speech , his girlfriend .

in the last few years he’d made the permanent decision to move back to california . at first a test for himself , but it quickly just became clear living in los angles made his busy schedule much easier .

Send me a 🤣 for a random funny scene from one of my works.

I don't do a lot of humorous scenes - mostly because my own personal humor is very dry and sarcastic, and it doesn't really come across as very funny to anyone else. But I did do one story that I thought was funny - here's the funniest snippet from it.

Under the cut for length and very mild language:

"I didn't pinch you," he repeated simply, folding his hands in his lap and meeting her eyes with a calm smile. "I'm glad you had fun last night, though, Shepard. You needed a chance to unwind, and I think that 'girls' night out' was just the thing. I imagine it was good hooking up with Jack again, hey?" She eyed him narrowly, disconcerted by the emphasis he placed on the biotic's name. He met her gaze with his own, his expression so bland that she felt her eyebrows drawing together in a frown.

"What are you on abo- oh. Oh no." Sheer panic flowed through her voice as she scrambled out of the sheets, shoving him from the bed in her haste to gain her feet. Stumbling at the sudden disorientation of being upright, she grabbed at his arm to keep her balance until her head stopped spinning – or rather, decided to spin in only one direction rather than three. Once she was reasonably capable of movement, she made a staggering dash to the bathroom. "Oh my FUCKING GOD!"

Standing naked by the bed, Kaidan tucked his hands behind his back and rocked on his heels, grinning broadly as he watched her shadow in the bathroom, easily able to picture what she was doing from its frantic movements. "Something wrong, Shepard?" he asked cheekily, and was rewarded with a view of her middle finger. "You just said you didn't want to do that."

"What the fuck is this? Lips? RED lips? Why did you let her do this to me, Alenko?" Tucking his tongue in his cheek, he mulled over his options, then sauntered towards the bathroom, careful to keep himself – and the more tender parts of his anatomy – out of her immediate reach. "Shit, shit, shit," he heard her muttering as he approached. "I sure hope Chakwas knows how to remove this crap. Oh man, oh man, who knows?"

Running his tongue over his teeth, Kaidan leaned to the side to catch a glimpse of his lover standing with her back to the bathroom mirror, legs splayed and one hand braced against the wall above the toilet as she stared down the line of her back. He knew exactly what she was seeing in the mirror – from his vantage, he had all too good a view. "I don't know, Shepard. I think it makes a statement."

"Alenko, kiss my ass."

"That would be the one. At least now, I know exactly where to do it."

When she flipped him off again, he decided it was as good a time as any to take her suggestions to heart – starting with one, and finishing with the other.

thematic headcanons // @goldshadows

harley: flori is so glad that she's alive (or, you know, undead) at the same time as him. whether they're just friends or something more, harley will always have a special place in her heart. they are as similar as they are different and flori just really appreciates him, his capabilities and his infinite potential (and the fact that he's easy on the eyes doesn't hurt either).

jess: the only other doctor aside from doctor elena gilbert that floribeth trusts. floribeth kinda wants to know if she's related to the other doctor shepards at grey sloan memorial but never really asks.

jill: in the tmcu, flori has met jill. they are currently working together. their last lead had been brielle brooks, the daughter of eric brooks. this hasn't panned out, but flori is not ready to give up: she knows that she and jill will need blade's daughter for what's coming next.

daisy: flori's favorite vampire! (mg and kaleb are also her favorites but daisy is her True Favorite TM.) it feels good knowing that she doesn't have to go through eternity alone. it feels good to have a friend like her.

jami: for some reason, jami continually reminds flori of a video game protagonist: six from little nightmares. maybe it's her stature. maybe it's the fact that she glows yellow sometimes. maybe it's because of everything she went through. much like pedro, jami can always come to flori if she ever wants / needs to; flori always has an open door policy for kids (even if jami is probably older than she is).

savannah: flori thinks that maybe savannah recognizes bits of herself in flori. or maybe it's vice versa. but so far, savannah is one of flori's favorite people to have a deep conversation with.

zoe: in the tmcu, flori has offered her services and help to zoe. synch has been, and still is, a huge help but he has his own family to worry about. so flori is going to take over for him and help zoe track her family down if that is what zoe really wants.

kim: the best mom, honestly. flori sees kim. flori sees that she works so hard and knows that she does her best.

lucas: he's related to jess, which automatically makes him a good, trustworthy person in flori's book. and he can't be worse than her former headmaster, can he?

bb: barbara is very human and it is currently unknown if bb knows of the supernatural so flori is really playing up the (human) boarding school for troubled (rich) kids angle.

kiwi: she's not even on his radar or vice versa, but if/when they meet, flori's first thought would be: does he have a connection to triad industries? and while the answer would definitely be 'no', she knows veronica greasley is always looking to fill up her own ranks somehow. for that, he needs to be careful.

five: flori technically should not know / know of five because five is a ghost. but she does. even though the two haven't known each other that long, there is enough trust there for flori to tell five about her ex-boyfriend.
