We arrived in Cornwall as it turns out lol we are just over the border. The cottage is lovely and the bed is pretty comfortable too. When you are aching most of the time a comfy bed helps! We went for a little drive before sunset and ended up looking over Widemouth bay. Looks a perfect beach for me to walk on as parking is right on it and the beach is flat. I get quite stressed on cliffs so I don’t go near the edge and panic when Tyson and my partner go near it. Lad had clearly ended his life off that cliff as flowers and notes had been left to him. Very sad.

Today’s a write off as it’s raining and very foggy. We went to sandymouth beach but I couldn’t get down to the beach 😒 it was a steep slope and I struggled with just the car park so I knew I wouldn’t be able to walk back up without lots of pain and losing the ability to breathe. I just have to stop sometimes and admit I can’t do things. My partner thinks I’m not trying and I should at least try. There is pushing myself like walking along a flat beach despite pain coming on and then walking up a cliff, which is just too much. It ruins the time I’m say on the beach cause I know I’m going to experience agony to get back to the car. It’s self preservation.

I’m fat and clearly have trouble with lung capacity from smoking for so long. I also can’t breathe through my nose. Then match that with the arthritis and the muscle pain that produces too. It’s just too much. I feel like collapsing when I get to the white out pain. I just want to die.

On a positive before I came away I got a letter from pain management to book an appointment with them. So will get that sorted when I get back. Must get on top of this. I can’t live this way for the rest of my life. I need some kind of relief.

Anyway, tomorrow is rain again sadly so we’ll probably go somewhere for a walk and I’m going to go to B&M to get some bits for a good time lol cooking chicken, chickpea and spinach curry tonight :) my partner loves my curries 😊 hell get a nice full tummy and that makes me happy, although the resulting farts aren’t so nice!! Lol xx

Beaches of Beaches

we love the #beach

We’re off to the beach, the sun is shining and we’re on holiday so why not! We are lucky enough to visit three beaches on our visit to Cornwall, all of them were dog friendly so here they go.

  Sandymouth Beach

Probably our favourite beach of the three.  This beach is part of the National Trust, so if you are a member parking is free.  You make your way along the path and then down some stairs…
