the way a lot of people are so anti misa in this fandom is just..very weird to me. yes she can be annoying but like??? she wasn’t that bad??? and misa could be sweet too :<

UR RIGHT AND YOU SHOULD SAY IT!! i think mainly the majority of the reasons why people dislike her is probably because of how badly she's written, which i can understand, to some extent, but some people are kinda ridiculous with it.

i saw some people say they dislike her because shes "homophobic" 😭😭 like yeahhhh i guess sooooo but that's just because the author is homophobic and hes just projecting his views onto his characters, so that's just a rlly dumb reason tbh. she said that two dudes (one of them being her boyfriend, may i add) being handcuffed together was weird and then asked L if he was "on that side of the fence" and apparently according to the death note fandom that's peak homophobia and implies she would call you a slur, yes i have actually heard people say that. ITS WEIRD... like if someone said that to me irl i rlly wouldn't care i would literally just laugh because it was a joke but for some reason people just make too much of a big deal out of it (who cares anyway!! shes literally gay as hell!!).

other people say they dislike her because of her toxic traits ("she manipulated light into a relationship :/") as if light isnt much worse in terms toxicity and everyone is so obsessed with him. like YEAH shes manipulative but when i hear it coming from a light stan i wanna remind them that thats a weird ass reason to hate her (i think they just hate women!! /hj).

i also think its stupid af when ppl call her useless, because that's just not true at all, light literally wouldn't have gotten anywhere without her, but no one is ready for that conversation </3. she can be a little annoying yeah, but shes purposely made to be that way. personally i love misa, shes my favourite character and i think she's super cool ^__^.
