It’s once in a lifetime experience, a never forgettable one, and stays with the being life long! This is how is Gandhinagar Cultural Forum’s Maha Aarti on ‘Aatham’, the Eighth Day, of the Navaratri celebrated. Everyone gathered here, more than 30,000 people, takes lighted lamp in hand and does Aarti, viz., prayers with lighter lamp. Light symbolises energy and so many multitude of people pray Mother Amba with lamp of one’s own! What is important is that all the electric lights are switched off and the entire premises is light up with 30,000 lamps. With purity in soul, prayer at the lips, holy chant in mouth and lighted lamp in hands, it is no wonder that the one elevates from an ordinary being to an extraordinary one. People often feel the presence of the higher being right on the ground. This year, the Forum prepared formation of #MahatmaGandhi to commemorate 150th birth #anniversary. The formation simply looks divine from sky-image. Often tears are the only reaction at such event. Shri #VajubhaiVala, the #Governor of #Karnataka and #GuruMa of #SamdarshanAshram, Gandhinagar witnessed the occasion apart from people from all around the world. #Navratri at Gandhinagar Cultual Forum is one of the best known in the state. People from world around flock here to celebrate this occasion. The atmosphere is purely traditional accompanied by melodious singing and graceful dance. The whole atmosphere was illuminated with more than 30,000 lamps and reverberated with prayers. This occasion was designed specially as Forum is celebrating its 25th year of establishment. Interestingly all the present are distributed Maha Prasad, Great Offering, at the end of Maha Aarti. This Prasad is prepared by Shri Yusuf Mansuri, a Muslim businessman since last 25 years. This is an excellent example of communal harmony and proof that prayer is not limited to anyone specific. It’s worthwhile experiencing this event. At the end of it, all the gathering saluted the nation while singing the #Nation #Anthem in unison and in respectful discipline. This is how #Gandhinagar #CulturalForum celebrated Bhakti of three aspects, viz. God, #Mahatma and the Nation. #gandhi150 #2k19 (at Gandhinagar Cultural Forum) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3TQ2VvAUET/?igshid=1pkmath6cih65
