pretty much a self indulgent post for my fic but i'm going to have to take something like a little summer vacation and i don't think that the place where i'm going has internet connection or wifi available so maybe i will spend my time writing so this is me trying my best to put my ideas down in a place that's pseudo tangible, any grammatical errors are due to the fact that english is not my first language and i read the books in my mothertongue back in 2014 so details are a little fuzzy

pretty much obvious but there's not lady stoneheart, mother merciless, the hangwomen, etc. whatever name she was known.

i can pretty much picture that harwin tried to beg to beric for her life, like in the books but i think that arya even in the catatonic and traumatic state that she is put her foot down saying something "let her reunite with my father please" and "can we give her a tully funeral (?)" not really sure if that type of funeral is tully tradition only or if this is something that the riverlands noble houses all do ((i have to look that up))" of course that the bwb complies with arya's wishes

that leads me to: okay the details are really fuzzy in this part i will have to pick my copy of asos up, but yeah the hound kidnaps arya exactly like the book i'm not sure if i will have her recover needle, i want her to have jon's smile back but at the same time i want her to try to heal in a less violent way

i remember that back in agot after the joffrey-arya debacle, arya escaped and survived in the riverlands wilderness for four days i think so i want to recreate this again since we had been show that arya is capable of surviving so my plan is for arya try to work the red wedding chaos in her favor and there escape the hound

we know that in canon the bwb got to the twins a few days later then the hound and arya so there's when i want to arya to reunite with them, and there comes point two

i know that is more reasonable for arya to be send to acorn hall, but this just a idea for a fanfic so for my own plot reasons the bwb decides to leave arya in the inn at the crossroads with the heddle sisters

i will have to research this too, since i know that the inn wasn't in good state when arya and the hound killed polliver, so i will have to work the pipeline: from the inn that we saw polliver and the tickler at to an orphan refugee housing

correct me if i'm wrong but i remember reading in one of arya's chapters with the hound after the rw about how she could sleep for days if the hound didn't abuse her and make her wake up to continue their trip so i will take the liberty of having arya behaving in like a comatose state after they leave her at the inn, girl had a breaking point about dealing with grief and she does not how to pick the pieces

that leads me to: gendry, gendry, gendry. he's officially part of the bwb and i don't think that he regrets the decision, to be honest i don't even think he regrets the decision in canon either, sure he's angsty and pretty much heartbroken but he lost his best friend, pretty much the only person that showed that she cared for him. i think that losing arya is that breaking point in which he realizes that maybe he feels something more strong that friendship for arya, of course, gendry is class conscious and knows that that a lowborn bastard loving a highborn lady could only end badly. but here almost losing arya really did a number on him

so when the bwb discusses leaving arya at the crossroads to recover (meanwhile they try to come with a plan to what to do with her) gendry insists that he's left there too. he tells himself that he will go back to the brotherhood after arya stops being catatonic and starts to resamble the arya he once knew ((can you tell that boy is pretty much lying to himself))

since lady stoneheart never came to be, anguy and edric dayne are still a part of the brotherhood

in a majority of the arya stays with the bwb aus i have read, they make jeyne or even willow as a romantic rival, and it's my personal opinion and personal opinion only but i hate that. so here we will have jeyne-anguy in a casual relationship that willow absolutely hates because in her own words: "he's pretty much stupid if he doesn't want to marry you, jeyne"

the heddles adopt arya as a third sister, they love her as much as arya loves them. jeyne loves to have a little sister that let her comb her hair (willow does not like having her hair touched, thank you very much) and willow loves having a sister that is lot like her and someone who she can talk about how stupid boys are, anguy most of all, and arya finally gets sisterly love!!!

arya tries her hardest to avoid gendry, she thinks that he's only in the inn to keep an eye on her and report back to the brotherhood besides she still thinks that gendry never wanted to be her friend. nonetheless everytime that arya offers herself to go hunting food, gendry does it best to follow her even if they don't talk much anymore

since anguy and lord edric are the youngest in the bwb, they are the ones send to the crossroads the most to help protect the inn or to send rations, much to gendry's chagrin, he certainly does not care about anguy trying his best to romance jeyne but he has a big problem with that highborn coming here to talk to the only other highborn at the inn. it doesn't help that edric dayne avoids him as much as arya likes to do herself.

when the news of fake!arya marrying the bastard of bolton reach the brotherhood, lord beric personally visits arya, at first arya thinks that the bwb is going to sell her to ramsay bolton and she wants to fight it instead what she gets is lord beric dondarrion telling her that is more safe for her to ever forget that she was a highborn in the first place, and that if she wants she can live as a lowborn as freely as she wants

the heddles run the inn during the day, arya a little afraid to be recognized still, decides that's better for her to work cleaning the inn at night hours

anguy always invites gendry to come back with them, at least to visit the peach again, gendry gets red as a crabapple and wants to kill him everytime he opens his mouth

demisexual! gendry, as an aspec myself i can pretty much say that gendry is really demi-coded

8.) common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

sig being extraordinarily angry with pebbles. like to the point of just outright bullying him! its completely in-character in some cases (like TLAI or RW CHAOS AU by weepinglilvessel), but i feel like people take sigs anger waaay too far with him reminding pebbles at every opportunity or never acknowledging what pebbles was doing to himself.

sig isnt obligated to forgive pebbles for killing his friend, like EVER; no one is. but him being angry forever and never letting pebbles live it down by joking about it is just. not him?

sig and pebbles are neighbors from the same local group, and were likely friendly at some point. sig lost two friends in the midst of a horrible, tragic accident and i feel like that doesnt get acknowedged as much. its REALLY fucked when combined with their "but i stay silly :3 (tormented)" attitude after the fact.

16.) you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

pebbles just being mean for no reason, or meaner than he really is! went over this recently but i need to drill it into peoples heads.

i get it, its not fair that he kills you when you simply dont leave him alone, so its easier to see him as more of an Asshole than he really is, but thats uhm. thats the point? this is rain world, you are an unimportant slugcat, so if you die for reasons you cant understand or reasons that are unfair from your perspective, thats The Point.

now, pebbles is only irritable and prickly as he is because, i dont know, he has like literally every problem? Hes dying like every iterator is, but Faster and more agonizingly because of his own actions, which killed his sister as well; he feels incredibly guilty about that and deeply regrets hurting his closest friends; hes, well, depressed in general (important point when it comes to irritability) and still has that same fucking problem that his creators left his kind to solve, or die trying. and now these rats make it a point to keep distracting him with visits for whatever fucking reason. i think youd be a bit pissed off if that was you!

that irritability is an iconic part of him, but once all the reasons for this are removed hes just a pompous asshole for no reason (this is why hes still sick and depressed in ruff&ruff lore, because i dont want him to be irritable for No Reason or else id feel itd be ooc), so i can see why most players come away from this thinking hes just mean before they start looking at loredumps from moon. I certainly did back when i was 13!

Big ol CELIO AU infodump

Ayyyyyy it’s time for the very brief CELIO infodump!!!

for those unaware this blog used to be an ask blog for the AU but then circumstances changed and it became my main blog. CELIO was an OMORI AU which flipped the game itself on its head to see what chaos would ensue, but there are different ways to interpret that so here’s the way I did.

first of, Mari ain’t dead. Sunny is.

headspace is a place Mari made in her imagination based off of sunny after he “disappeared”. CELIO isn’t SUNNY’s alter ego, hes an exaggerated, perfected version out how Mari perceived her older brother. And he gets to live on in the world she made for him.

Mari doesn’t deny SUNNY’s death, instead t he opposite: she believes, she knows deep in her heart that he’s dead, and that’s why she neees headspace so badly. To remember.

Reality is a little sad without sunny. He was the glue, he was the happiness keeping their little group together, and without him everything fell apart.

and no, this isn’t an OMARI AU or anything. Mari didn’t kill sunny. However…

I’m still going to leave his death vague, in case any of you want to theorise about how it happened.

I’ve got Refs for all the RW characters in the works, so I’ll explain them there instead of here. And I’ve got all of the headspace adventures planned out, but maybe I’ll save those for another time. Here’s just the basics for what happened in CELIO.

Spearmint (Spearmaster x Saint) honestly i just think they're really cute and sweet together, not to mention all the shared trauma they have from the hands of their creators (SRS and SOS respectively), just some silly lil guys :]

Cherrypie (Gourmand x Hunter) again, just a really cute and sweet pairing. i imagine gourm would help hunter with calming the rot if it gets too bad and they like going hunting together also

Fireworks (Watcher x Artificer) woagh rare ship incoming. this was mostly spawned out of "hey artis fucking sad they should be less sad" but honestly their contrast in personalities and general designs (watcher being kinda bubbly and soft looking and arti being, well arti) is just really nice and i think watcher would be arti's comfort creature

Lemonshark (Rivulet x Monk) literally just silly guys like its just so silly they're so silly and cute together oh my god

Lilypad (NSH x LttM) they would just be so happy together tbh. also i think it'd be more of a QPR due to NSH being aroace :]

Sunstone (FP x SRS) this ship creates drama bc if anyone found out itd be like "woagh SRS dont you hate them" or "woagh FP doesnt he hate you" so they have to keep it secret and its cool

Reversal (Inv x Survivor) another good contrast ship, and one i really really love. i imagine surv to be calmer and more collected and inv to just be chaos bastard and just ough its so good

okay this next one is REALLY rare and genuinely it doesnt have a name im aware of yet but

Sliver of Straw x Unparalleled Innocence yeagh uh this one only really works in my au. around ui sliver is quirky and funny and kinda silly tbh but around other shes cold and serious and nobody knows about it but people find out eventually but yeah that one

*gathers courage* oh boy, how do I say this? I really love the parallelism that you made with the world of the Ancients with ours. Humans want to enjoy living, of the present moment and what we have, even with our own faults. And if the circumstances allow it the humans will want to stay a little more even when our time has come. And then there we have the Ancients and their corrupted religion, that strives not for the enjoyment of life, but for the detachment of it and that perfectionism almost impossible to achieve that only a select few can do to just leave the world behind, a self imposed almost impossible nirvana.

I may be getting something wrong because I remember a post about how the original religion deriled from what was supposed to be and can't find it in the navigation post or I am just blind (even though I have glasses!!) And wanted to reread it to explain what I mean better.

I am just like, in my head play like this scenario of a human crash landing in your version of the rw world (a la subnautica or some other sci-fi shenanigan) and meeting you Ancients and being like "what the fuck is this place? Why rains here? What do you mean that they will wake up again?!?!?! What do you mean you have sentient computers?!?!?" And this humans just create chaos (the fact that the human will be basically child/gremlin size adds to the chaos factor). And just the concept for the Ancients that this creature from the sky doesn't have a respawn cycle not matter the stage of its life (can't remember if all creatures of your au have that gift from the god) will be just "you don't respawn? You only experience the pain of death once?!?! ".

There are some much angst scenarios that can come from this *cof*seeing an Ancient friend die an think it is permanent, seeing your humanfriend die without knowingthat it won't wake up again*cof*

Gotta love some old good culture shock.

This also has me pondering that the ancient just are like getting rid of most of what they consider animalistic traits and then there are humans that want those animalistic traits (not all humans, but you know how sometimes we wish we had certain things)

But the important question is, will a human be able to survive in your rw world in ancient times and post mass ascension? (Assuming the human has his own air supplie and gravity doesn't crush it)

sorry this took so long to answer! long question combined with me not being really fond of the idea of humans barging in like that into the RW world no matter in what quantity or with what intention made it harder to gather the will to answer (← not shaming your tastes, each to their own)

i'd like to quickly supply the knowledge on the matter and argue against the idea of Detachment from life, from the five sins, being a bad thing. certainly the kind of detachment that the Ancients are chasing is the wrong kind because of the extremism- really it is Complete Eradication of these things from the self that they are propagating, which is wrong. detachment in the sense of not being dependent, addicted to the sins' subjects i'd argue as a very good thing (yes, very much including the last one too). saying that is wrong kinda throws a nasty shade on the real life religion the Ancients' one is inspired by

i suppose the main concern in all of this would be the language barrier (along with the oxygen posioning stuff, but assuming that is taken care of), what with the Ancients communicating with strange wet noises produced mainly by their complex muscle structure of the throat/neck. suppose they'd have to sit down and figure out the writing system, if technological "now you understand me" fuckery doesn't take place

and then yeah the respawn stuff... Ancient dies and then the next day comes visit the bud with a coffee in their hand like "hey man, yesterday was a wild ride huh" n cue tears and wailing and what all else

during Ancient times i can imagine a human possibly managing to survive, because after all there is a society that offers at least Some safety and is strictly non-violent. the human would be kept within the high circles for the sake of information sharing, i'm sure

post-mass ascension it is really only a question of time until they die to something, that world is Not a cozy one and there isn't really any place to be truly safe. especially without the respawn mechanic in place and if they are to be solo. anything can barge in at any time, including the abandoned Iterator cities

Willex rwrb au!!!! I loterally made a headcanon post about that like last week because Henry and Alex remind me of each other SO MUCH!!! Please tell me more!!!

Willex rw&rb au!!! So I actually first got inspired for this au by @a-chaotic-ananas (at least I’m like 99% sure) and this post by @sunsetscurving and I just saw it once and it lived rent free in my head forever

I haven’t written or planned it at all but it lives in my fic prompts list rent free and I can never pass up the chance to scream about it so here’s what I’ve got in my head:

I actually had a really hard time thinking of which of them would be Henry and which would be Alex? Bc like you said Alex gives me big Henry vibes yknow just their personality, the anxiety, family issues, all that but on the other hand I could totally see Alex as, well, Alex (Claremont-Diaz) for several reasons like Alex really gives me the “I want to be a politician to change things and work for equality” vibes and just Alex’s (C-D) law school, anxiety-writing essays at 2am, shit sleep schedule, chaotic sibling relationships, etc just are so Alex for me

And then willie gives me Henry vibes bc he’s more of the “I do not wanna be a politician/ruler I just wanna be gay and chill” Henry vibes yknow? Like I could totally see him saying hell no to all of that like Henry and also the whole depressing family vibes fit Willie to me for some reason. There’s not a lot here oop but Alex gives me Alex energy more than Willie gives me Alex energy so yeah

And since Alex is Alex I wanted him to have a weirdish family dynamic and even tho we’ve never met Alex’s parent I just. I don’t like them. So Alex is the first son of the president or whatever it’s just that he was adopted by the Molinas bc his parents kicked him out when he was like 15 and came out to them and Julie and Alex were childhood best friends so the Molinas were like nope and just adopted him

I haven’t decided if that meant Ray or Rose would be the president bc on one hand Ray would be a vibe and easier for me to write but on the other hand Rose being president would be iconic yknow and she could have the vibes

Yknow what no I have decided now Rose would be an iconic president

So then Julie is June and Carlos is just an extra character bc I love him

Reggie is Nora bc smart!reggie supremacy I said what I said and bc they have the same genius but also chaos bisexual energy and I just love the idea of Julie, Reggie, and Alex being little shits together

And Luke takes the place of willies best friend bc the chaotic adhds gotta stick together of course and I just think willie and Luke would be great friends and also this gives the whole possibility of a lil bit of Julie and Willie kinda pretending to be together like June and Henry do but with the added bonus of juke and willex angst bc that’s the wrong person!!!

Sorry just the idea of Rose with Ellen energy is amazing like just imagine Rose making the whole “why dating the prince of England is a TERRIBLE idea, Alex” powerpoint. The pure chaotic energy you could get—

Also the whole “Alex demanding Henry see him by causing problems on purpose outside the palace” both a) has “i thought we were having fun together”/“that’s not good enough, Willie” jatp parallels and b) I just feel like Alex would totally do that

Bobby as Luna bc more jatp parallels (kinda)!! and Alex-Bobby friendship!! It’s what we deserve really

And also instead of Alex’s dad we get the close family friend Trevor bc I said so and imagine the Alex-Julie-Reggie-Willie-Luke dynamic at the lakehouse with Carrie too (and Flynn of course bc Julie, Carrie, Flynn, and Alex were all childhood friends and Carrie and Flynn are totally dating)

Caleb Covington as Philip or just some royalty or maybe even instead of the Queen? Idk I just like the idea of him causing problems with willex like how he’s the jatp antagonist
