Requested by anon (x) - Request a gif imagine!
Rory didn’t know what to do. You were there, crying in front of him and suffering from a bad panic attack. He wasn’t sure how to help you and didn’t want to overwhelm you.
For starters, he tried placing a warm hand in your back. You welcomed the touch, leaning into it, and resting over Rory’s side. Seeing that you needed it, he kindly wrapped his arms around you and held you in a comforting embrace.
You didn’t exchange many words, except for his gentle whispers of comfort. Instead, he let you cry on his shoulder as he held you tight.

santana lopez imagine
r e q u e s t: Can you do a reader x Santana lopez? Where reader and Santana are best friends but reader has been in love with santana for a long time and becomes distant and santana wants to know why and finally knows and just fluff. Thank you
✫彡
Y/N zoned out the conversation Quinn, Brittany and Santana were having and instead fully focused on the smile on Santana’s face. She’d been friends with the girl long enough to know that this smile meant that she felt at ease.
The corners of Y/N’s mouth curled into a smile at the sight of it as she kept staring at her best friend. Her cheeks flushed when Santana turned her head, just to check up on Y/N who had been a bit quiet. She’d caught the girl staring. Santana’s expression softened a bit before she joined the conversation again.
It had been like this a lot the past few weeks— Y/N zoning out just to stare and admire Santana, only for her to get caught by the latter. However, Santana didn’t seem to mind or notice and thus Y/N’s crush on the girl grew larger every day.
What had been the turning point? The mindless random kisses they used to share now and then? Which in Santana’s defence were just so that they kept practicing until a cute boy came along. The way Santana only let Y/N see the real her? How Santana carried herself? Or how she could light up Y/N’s world by just a smile or a witty comment? Well, Y/N couldn’t quite put a finger on it. But there was so much about Santana that she adored and liked that it wouldn’t be fair to her to just pick one.
Her mouth set in a hard line. No. She couldn’t fall in love with Santana. It wouldn’t end well. What if Santana got weirded out by it and decided that it would be too awkward to stay friends? Y/N couldn’t bear to lose the girl.
“You okay?”
Quinn and Brittany continued their conversation while Santana’s attention went to the girl next to her. Y/N nodded softly, sending her a tight-lipped smile.
“Here,” Santana handed her the rest of her granola bar in an attempt to cheer her up. Because even though Y/N denied something was wrong, she could see right through her best friend. “And you better eat it because I don’t usually share my food.”
Brittany heard the two and shoved her lunchbox towards Y/N. It was filled with the Lucky Charms marshmellows. “It took me four boxes to fill it like this but eating this usually makes me happy so I hope it works for you too.”
“Are you trying to cheer her up or give her diabetes?” Quinn snorted and shook her head in amusement.
“Thanks, Britt, but i'm fine.”
“Suit yourself.” Brittany shrugged, held the lunchbox up to her chest and grabbed a handful. Quinn grimaced at the thought of having to eat that much sweetness in one bite.
Santana hadn’t stopped staring at Y/N during the conversation, her brows knit together when she realised something was up. She scooted her chair closer to the girl, grabbed the sleeve of her Cheerios jacket and rested her head softly against the girl’s shoulder. Y/N smiled sheepishly while Santana’s frown never disappeared, wondering what kept her best friend so silent, the soft encounter between the two not going unnoticed by Brittany.
✫彡
Santana strutted around the school’s hallway, head held high. She looked fierce, confident and oh so ethereal— if you asked Y/N. The small smirk on her face turned to a smile when she locked eyes with her best friend, Y/N, who was already staring at her from her spot at her locker.
“How’s the only person I tolerate in this school doing?” She challengingly raised an eyebrow as she came to a stop next to the girl.
Y/N stared into her eyes for a second, seeing them twinkle. The two girls lingered for a moment in a comfortable silence until the sound of a locker slamming shut cut the girl back to reality.
“Hey, you okay?”
Santana’s smile turned into frown, seeing how quiet Y/N seemed.
“Hm? Sorry, yeah...”
The Latina squeezed her eyes in suspicion but decided to let it go, knowing how Y/N worked. If she tried to pry and get it out of her, Y/N would only shut her out even more. She’d come to her when she wanted to or when she was ready.
“Okay, hear me out— I know you’re insecure about singing high notes but I’ve found the perfect song for us to sing for next week’s assignment.”
Y/N bit her lip and closed her locker, “I kind of already agreed to sing with Rory...”
“Wait, what? Why?” Santana’s face immediately scrunched up. “And roll back a minute— out of all of them you pick that leprechaun? Let me guess, you’re going to sing his national anthem while he’s Irish dancing in the background, clad in all green while throwing lucky charms out of his pot of gold?”
“Santana...”
The brunette sighed, letting it go, not being able to resist the pleading look on Y/N’s face.
“He asked me first and he was so shy about it, it was adorable. And he’s new and doesn’t really know anyone yet so it was hard to turn him away... and um, he told me we’d discuss the song over dinner at Breadstix so how could I turn that away?”
“So he asked you out on a date?”
“N-No-”
Santana rolled her eyes at the girl’s obliviousness, “And by the way,” She raised her hand, “Since when do I have to ask you to partner up? We always do everything together?”
Y/N shrugged, “I’m sorry, San. A promise is a promise. But I think you need to start looking for another partner unless you want to end up with Mr. Schue.”
Santana's jaw clenched in irritation as Y/N walked off without another word.
✫彡
Santana worry and confusion only grew when Y/N walked passed her and sat down next to Rachel, completely ignoring her usual seat next to Santana. Rory walked into the room. She immediately sent the boy a glare before he sat down next to Y/N. He slightly glanced over his shoulder and as he felt Santana’s eyes on him, he slowly put his arm around Y/N— feeling bold. The girl barely scooted away from him, trying not to hurt his feelings, but it was enough for Santana to notice her discomfort.
Oh, hell no.
✫彡
“Hey, St. Paddy!” Santana’s loud voice rang through the courtyard, making Rory stop in his tracks.
“Oh, boy, here we go.” He slowly mumbled to himself.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
He turned around and saw how furious she was by the frown on her face and the fire in her eyes.
“What do you mean, Santana?”
She gave him a dirty look, “Oh, cut the crap, cardigan... You know what I’m talking about.”
“It’s... Flanagan...”
“Whatever-” She rolled her eyes. “Listen closely and don’t open your mouth before i’m done talking, okay?”
Rory nodded hesitantly, not sure if this already counted.
“You’ve got a crush on Y/N. I have eyes. I’m not stupid. But I get it, she’s gorgeous, caring, softhearted and is the best thing in this world since sliced bread. But what she’ll never be, is yours.” She pointed a finger at his chest. “So don’t try and act all adorable while sneakily taking her on a date... because if we’re being honest, she probably just said yes because she pitied you after realising that if she said no, you would have no one to sing with. And since you were oblivious to all of that, I think you also missed the fact that she isn’t into you at all.”
He rose his eyebrows in shock as Santana let her mind run rampant, not sparing his feelings. Rory awkwardly held onto the straps of his backpack.
“Here’s what’s going to happen— first, you’re going to call Breadstix and cancel your reservations...then you’re going to call Y/N and tell her you changed your mind about being duet partners.” Santana gave him a mock smile and was about to walk away. “Oh— and if you ever put your disgusting arm around her again, I’ll kick your ass so hard it will send you flying back to Ireland in just a few seconds. Got it?”
Rory nodded again and watched Santana walk away with a pleased smirk on her face.
✫彡
Santana tapped the girl on her shoulder and whispered, “Wanna go to Breadstix tonight? I heard they have one free table for tomorrow night.”
Y/N turned around in her seat, sending a glare her way before focusing back on the class. Santana looked to Brittany, taken back and in confusion, but she just shrugged.
✫彡
“I little birdie told me you need a new duet partner.” Santana walked up to Y/N’s locker, hands in the pockets of her comfy Cheerios jacket.
The smile on her face disappeared when Y/N slammed her locker shut and turned to her with her brows furrowed.
“Jeez, who put nails in your shoes today?”
“I know it was you.”
Santana shrugged, “So? I spared you the painful situation where you had to reject him... plus, now you get to sing with me. So change that frown into one of your pretty smiles because I know just the perfect song for us to sing.” She perked up but her cheerful expression vanished once again when Y/N walked away from her. She pursed her lips and frowned in confusion as she watched the girl hurry out of the school.
✫彡
Things had been different since that afternoon. The two barely interacted or even looked at each other anymore, which was all mainly Y/N’s fault. It had even caught the attention of the other Glee club members since Y/N tried to ignore Santana as if she was some disease she wanted to steer clear of. It was out of character for the both of them not to be together.
“Everything okay with you and San?” Brittany leaned over so that no one else could hear.
Y/N gave her a small smile, as if nothing was wrong, “Oh- yeah, yes, don’t worry.”
“You sure?”
Y/N hummed in return, turning to face Mr. Schue but Brittany scooted even closer before mumbling, “I think you should just tell her how you feel.”
Her head shot to the side, eyes wide as saucers. Brittany didn’t seem to realise how panicked her statement had made the girl feel. Y/N was still trying to stay cool when Mr. Schue called her name.
“Rory and Y/N, would you two like to perform your duet today?”
The two shared a quick glance before Y/N opened her mouth,
“Oh, w-we’re not partners anymore. Can Tina and I perform instead?”
Santana cocked her head to the side at that new information, seeing Tina nod. They had apparently already planned this out.
“But Tina’s partnered up with Brittany?”
“Yeah, I know, but she doesn’t mind singing twice.”
Mr. Schue rose his eyebrows in confusion. “But we’re with an even number of members so how come you have no partner?”
Rory’s arm slowly went up, “Santana has no partner either.”
“Shut up, leprechaun.”
“I thought that was what you wanted?” Rory mumbled at her but slowly turned back around at the look Santana shot him.
Mr. Schue seemed a bit confused to why the two best friends didn’t seem to want to pair up together. However, that gave him all the more reasons to make them partner up. Maybe whatever was going on between the two would be taken care of that way.
“Santana, Y/N— you’ll be up next week. Alright?”
The two girls shared a glance before Y/N focused back on what Mr. Schue was saying.
✫彡
“Y/N/N, can we meet up after practice? We really need to plan how we want to sing the song if we want to win. You still okay with singing Aguilera?”
Y/N nodded absentmindedly, not really paying any attention to Santana. Because she knew that if she did, she wouldn’t be able to stop looking at the girl. Besides, the love in her eyes would probably not be missed by Santana and she obviously didn’t want her to know.
“Hey?”
“Hm?” Y/N looked up, trying her best to not look into her eyes for too long. But the worry and hurt in them broke Y/N’s act.
“I’m worried about you.” Santana placed her hand on top of Y/N’s, squeezing it.
“Don’t be.” Y/N mumbled out softly, trying to brush things under the carpet.
“Did I do something wrong? Was it the thing with Rory? Or back when-”
“No.” She shook her head, “Don’t worry, okay? You could never do something wrong in my eyes.”
Santana smiled at that.
“Great. So if I’m not the problem, then please tell me why you’ve been so distant with me lately?”
Y/N panicked slightly and racked her brain for anything. “Just... stuff.” She could slap herself for that weak excuse.
“Stuff?” Santana gave her a look, not buying it. “What stuff? Stuff at school? At home? Personal stuff?”
Y/N nodded softly at the last one and looked at her lap.
“Want to talk to me about it?” Santana’s voice was as soft as a feather and barely even audible.
Y/N didn’t look up from her lap and shook her head.
“That’s okay.” Santana scooted closer to her best friend, “Then I’m just going to have to-” But when she was about to wrap her arms around Y/N to comfort her, the girl quickly pushed her away, grabbed her stuff and walked out leaving Santana clueless to what she had done wrong.
✫彡
“I’m telling you, Britt, she ran away like I was some bee circling around her.”
Brittany smiled sympathetically. She could see it really affected Santana.
“Oh, God.” She groaned and held the bridge of her nose. “She’s been like that every time I get close to her, what if it makes her uncomfortable? See?! I should just keep it all to myself, it’s better that way. I haven’t even told her anything yet and she’s already distancing herself from me.”
Brittany sighed loudly, “There you go again— putting two and two together and making six. You worry too much.”
Santana crossed her arms and let out a breathy, sarcastic chuckle, “I worry too much? She’s my best friend— I can’t lose her.”
Brittany’s smile softened, “I know. But you won’t. Sometimes you just have to take the leap and hope that a flying unicorn will scoop you up out of the sky. And I hope Y/N will jump onto its back as well... unless she’s scared of horses...”
Santana smiled at Brittany’s explanation,
“Thanks, Britt.”
✫彡
Santana was talking with Brittany when Y/N walked passed the two, basically making a b-line to the exit of the football fields.
“Okay, this has got to stop.”
Santana rushed after her, Brittany following suit— afraid Santana was going to lose her rag.
“Y/N, stop-” Santana grabbed her wrist, making the girl turn around. “-and fucking explain to me what’s going on? I’m sick of you acting like this.” She waved her hands around.
Y/N pulled her hand back and squinted her eyes as she looked at Santana before walking off again.
“Oh, no no no. Not so fast, lady.” When Santana grabbed her shoulder, Y/N turned around and pushed her off.
Santana widened her eyes at seeing Y/N so on the fence.
“Why can’t you just leave me be? I’ve been trying so hard to ignore you and ignore everything I’ve been cropping up inside but you just keep...on...bugging me!”
Normally, Santana would fire back some witty and fiery reply but she was at a loss for words. She’d never seen Y/N like this.
“I-I’m s-sorry. I’m so-” Y/N immediately excused herself and groaned before kicking the trashcan next to the bleachers, startling both Brittany and Santana.
Santana glanced at Brittany, silently asking her to give them a moment. The blonde nodded and walked back to the other Cheerios.
Santana wasn’t sure what to do or say. She wanted to hug Y/N and hold her hand to comfort her, but would she be pushed away again if she did?
“I haven’t been a good friend to you lately...” Y/N started and looked up into her eyes.
“You can’t always be amazing at everything.” Santana complimented her and smirked softly, trying to lighten the mood. But her face turned serious again when Y/N didn’t seem to appreciate the effort.
“But it’s okay. Let’s acknowledge it for a few seconds and then move on and be like we used to be.” Santana took a measured step closer to the girl.
“I can’t.”
“Why not?” The brunette immediately shot back, feeling angry and confused once again. Y/N wrapped her arms around herself and softly looked up into Santana’s eyes, which were filled with hurt and worry.
“I-”
She closed her mouth again, how was she supposed to say that she’d been in love with Santana for weeks now?
“I’ve been really respectful towards this all and I’ve given you time to come to me, but this time we’re not going to walk away before I know what’s up. So, tell me.”
Even while Santana glared at her, Y/N could still feel her insides turn to jelly. Y/N looked at the crinkle between her eyebrows and how she slightly pouted her lips together. Her stare lingered a little on her lips, before she quickly looked back into Santana’s eyes. But upon looking, she noticed that Santana’s gaze was fixated on her own lips.
“T-Tell me now...” Santana cleared her throat and tried to raise her voice again, but it was clear that her mind was elsewhere. She tried to look mad, but Y/N noticed how hard it was for Santana to keep up the tough act.
Their stare lingered for a moment before Y/N turned her back to Santana to walk back into the school. But before she could take a step, Santana’s voice interrupted her.
“I love you.”
Y/N froze.
“And you ignoring me hurts me so damn much. So, please, don’t. I don’t know what I did wrong but I’d really like to know.”
It took Y/N a moment to gain the courage to turn back around but when she did, she saw that Santana was on the verge of tears.
“I hope this won’t make you ignore me even more.” She quickly glanced around the area before wiping away a tear.
“Please say something.”
“Santana...”
She immediately took a few steps back when Y/N approached her.
“No, no- it’s fine-” She waved her off. Y/N closed her eyes, ridding herself of any doubts and insecurities. She opened them again and wasted no time in cupping the girl’s cheeks to place a soft, chaste kiss on her lips.
The two parted, Santana’s face filled with confusion. It wasn’t like they had never kissed before, so what exactly did this kiss mean? Was this just out of pity?
Y/N left her no time to ponder when she attached her lips against Santana’s once more. She put much more pressure into this one, and when Y/N opened her mouth, Santana swore she could feel her heart explode. She quickly grabbed onto Y/N’s neck and kissed back, not wanting to let it go unanswered.
They slowly let go of each other after a few seconds.
I know I asked you to say something but this was much better.” She blinked her eyes a few times as Y/N let out a breathy chuckle,
“I know, right?”
“Does that...Does that mean-”
“Damn, you don’t catch on very fast, do you?”
Santana rolled her eyes but not without grinning like an idiot. She presented her pinky to Y/N, the other girl locking hers around it as they kept looking at each other, beaming from ear to ear.
✫彡
The band started playing the first tunes of the song on their trumpets. Everyone’s eyes widened and some of the girls cheered at the run Y/N started the song off with. Santana looked at her with the widest smile on her face before starting to dance the little choreography they had come up with it. She was more than proud of Y/N shoving her insecurities to the side and still singing this song. Her voice was perfect for this song, which was mainly why Santana had picked it out, she wanted the girl to shine more.
“I don’t know what you did, boy, but you had it.”
The two faced each other and sang together. Santana smirked while singing.
"That every time I see you everything starts making sense, yeah.”
Everyone clapped when they started singing the chorus. Santana turned towards Y/N at her part, making her take steps back by slightly pushing the girl’s shoulder.
It was clear to everyone that whatever had been happening before, had been solved now. Santana and Y/N seemed at ease around each other again. They acted just like before. Well... not exactly the same, but most of them brushed it off.
Mr. Schue mentally applauded himself for putting the two together. It had clearly resolved their problems. But Brittany knew the real reason of why they had made up. She grinned, enjoying the performance, but also because she was the only one who knew their little secret. It was about time. She had tried to silently drop hints to them that they both liked each other here and there for the longest time. When Santana had returned that afternoon with the biggest smile on her face, Brittany knew enough.
Santana and Y/N grinned their hearts out at each other after ending the song and locked their pinkies behind their backs.

Glee Advent Day 4 - Dough
Written for day 4 of @gleeadvent
A/N: This takes place after Extraordinary Merry Christmas - ahh, the Sam/Rory friendship that was built in that episode and then...never really mentioned again. This is Sam and Rory going back to Kentucky for Christmas.
As I always say, justice for Rory Flanagan. Hope that I sufficiently captured his naivete and awe of America, without falling into the pitfalls that Glee did of just making him a stereotype.
Rated G, 1300 words, warning for a minor reference to Sam's disordered eating/body image issues
When Sam pulled up into the driveway of his parents’ house, he was nearly overwhelmed with emotion.
It had only been a few weeks since he left, but he’d missed his family. The Hummel-Hudsons had been so welcoming and so good to him, and he’d always be grateful for their hospitality. But nothing could entirely replace the feeling of being around his family.
“Sam?” Rory said from the passenger seat, his accent catching the ‘a’ in that funny way.
Sam blinked a few times. “Yeah,” he replied, his voice husky. “Uh, here we are. Come on.”
There was a wreath hanging on the front door. Sam fumbled with his key chain, unlocking the door and pushing it open - and he was immediately attacked by his siblings, Stacey leaping into his arms and Stevie hugging his legs. He bowed backwards with their momentum, but luckily Rory caught him from behind, pressing a hand between his shoulder blades to help him keep his balance.
“Sammy’s here!” Stacey exclaimed, and Sam saw his mom’s smiling face appear in the doorway to the kitchen.
Sam adjusted his grip on Stacey and nudged Stevie with his knee so he could walk further into the room. “You guys are too big for this,” he teased.
“We missed you!” Stevie said, bouncing with excitement.
“I missed you too,” he said. He looked back at Rory, who still lingered by the door. “This is my friend Rory Flanagan,” he told them. “I told you he was gonna spend Christmas with us, remember?”
His siblings and mother all came forward to greet Rory, who smiled and introduced himself politely.
Sam knew what it was like to be away from home, and he couldn’t imagine being across an ocean from his family, surrounded by a different culture. He was lucky enough to have people like Burt and Carole who took him in and offered a home away from home - and he was determined to give that same hospitality to Rory.
After they’d settled in, Sam’s mom had to head off to work and his dad wouldn’t be home for a few hours. “I have a surprise,” Sam told Stevie and Stacey, carrying a paper grocery bag into the kitchen. “We’re gonna make cookies.”
Before he'd left Lima, Carole had given him a card with several 20-dollar bills inside. “We’ll miss you over the break,” she said, pulling him in for a hug. “Pick something out for your family, okay? Our treat.”
So he and Rory had stopped in a Kroger along the way to buy a mix for gingerbread cookies and a large poinsettia to bring to Kentucky. Rory had loitered in the aisles. “American supermarkets are so weird,” he’d said when Sam asked what was up. “You can get hardware and ice cream and paracetamol all in the same place.”
His siblings cheered as Sam showed them the baking mix, and they began dashing around the kitchen to pull out the necessary ingredients and dishes.
“How do you know Sammy?” Stacey asked as Rory rolled out dough on the kitchen counter.
“We’re in glee club together,” Rory said. Sam opened the package of cookie cutters he’d bought and began laying them out.
“Do you play football like Sam, too?” Stevie asked.
“Ah, no,” Rory replied. He stepped away from the dough so the kids could start pressing shapes into it. “I’ve never really been good at sports. When I was a kid I tried playing rugby and thought I was gonna die. I’ll kick around a football with my brothers for fun, but otherwise I’m more suited for things like glee.”
They continued chatting as they laid cookies out on a baking sheet, discussing football and soccer and when they were the same thing, trying out different shapes of cookie cutters.
While the cookies were in the oven. Sam found a tin of Nesquik in the pantry and heated up milk to make hot chocolate. He even put some cinnamon and vanilla in, a trick he’d learned from living with Kurt.
Once the cookies were done, they set them out on the table and used plastic bags of icing to decorate them.
“What do you usually do for Christmas?” Sam asked Rory as he tried to draw a face on a gingerbread man.
“Well, you know, a lot of the same things,” Rory replied. “My mum likes to bake, so we’d make biscuits and pies and whatnot. We’d decorate the tree and light candles, sing Christmas carols. On Christmas we’d go to Midnight Mass, as a kid I always loved staying up late for that.”
“What’s Midnight Mass?” Stacey asked, squeezing some blue icing onto her finger and then licking it off.
“It’s a special church service,” Rory explained. “You go late at night on Christmas Eve, so you’re there right when Christmas starts, officially.”
“Can we stay up late on Christmas Eve?” Stevie asked, looking up at Sam.
Sam smirked. “If you stay up too late, Santa won’t come.”
The kids gasped in horror, quickly backpedaling.
When the cookies were cool, the icing solidified, Sam let his siblings take three cookies each with their hot chocolate to go eat by the tree in the living room.
“Don’t leave crumbs!” he called after them.
He leaned against the counter next to Rory, who was eating a bell-shaped cookie. “Your brother and sister are sweet,” he said.
Sam smiled. “Yeah, they’re good kids.”
“They really look up to you,” Rory said.
Sam ducked his head. The age gap between his siblings and him had meant he was always sort of a role model for them. But since last year, things had shifted. When his mom and dad had been so focused on finding work and keeping things together, Sam had stepped into a more parental role. Even once things stabilized for the family, he could still feel that it was different between them. Sam had really become an adult, in many ways. Stevie and Stacey would ask his permission for things, turn to him for advice, treat him like he was in charge.
“I guess so,” he said to Rory.
Rory finished his cookie and picked up another one. “These are amazing, Sam,” he said. “You’ve got to try one.”
Sam smiled, shook his head. “Nah, I’m good. I’m full from the hot cocoa, and I snacked on a bunch of the dough while we were making ‘em. I don’t wanna have to go on a run later to burn them off.”
Rory raised an eyebrow. He hesitated for a moment, then said, “Sam…I may not know much about America, but I know that wherever you are, Christmas is about good company and good food.” He picked up the plate of cookies and held it up to Sam. “Maybe it’s just my peasant ancestors talking, but you don’t turn down good food where you can get it. It’s always a good thing.”
Sam stared at him, then glanced down at the cookies. They were far from perfect - some of them misshapen, the icing a colorful mess more often than not. Rory, Sam, and his siblings weren’t expert bakers, but they’d worked together to make these cookies.
“Yeah, okay,” he said. He picked a star-shaped cookie off the plate and bit into it. The mix of spicy gingerbread and sugary icing melted in his mouth.
It was delicious. It was a good thing. It was Christmastime, and he could just enjoy it, without fixating on the calories. For tonight, at least.
“Thanks, Rory,” he said. “You’re right. It’s really good.”
Rory smiled at him. “Merry Christmas, Sam.”
The kitchen was still cozy-warm from the oven, and the air smelled of spices and chocolate. In the next room, his siblings were giggling at something, and soon his parents would be home, his whole family reunited. In front of him was a new friend, a boy with a strange accent and a kind heart.
“Merry Christmas, Rory,” Sam said.

99 Perspectives on a Single Love Story #26
A/N: The Story of Kurt and Blaine told through the eyes of everyone else but them. Each chapter is a different perspective in the ongoing tale of their love story.
I started something like this a while back - and now I’m taking the idea and really running with it. Each chapter is a ficlet of a different character at a different point in Kurt and Blaine’s life - documenting their love story. This starts in Audition, and each chapter will be paired with a different episode until reaching Dreams Come True.
[Ao3]
***
Rory Flanagan (Pot ‘O Gold)
Rory Flanagan has begun to settle into life at McKinley High. He may no longer have a shot at Brittany Pierce (her exotic girlfriend is kind of scary) nor does he have that many friends outside of Finn Hudson (who said maybe if he played his cards right, he could get a spot on the football team -- which isn’t really football apparently, and that’s made things confusing), but glee club makes him feel welcome enough, and he still loves being in America.
Glee is fun! Even if everyone seems to be unusually mad at each other all the time, and half the club has defected to a rival club in the same school! But singing always brings a smile to his face. It’s nice to have a home away from home.
But something that has perplexed him since he had arrived is an unusual habit of Kurt Hummel. Before class starts, if he is not huddled together with Blaine Anderson, Rory finds him standing on one of the chairs, looking out the window. It’s such odd behavior, and no one seems to notice or really care that Kurt is always seemingly up to something. So, one slow Wednesday, he decides to join Kurt by looking out the window.
“What are we looking for?” Rory asks, a bit of excitement in his eyes.
Kurt raises an eyebrow, but does not look away. “Who said we were looking for something?”
Rory frowns. “Oh, I just thought... Cause you’re always up here looking out the window.”
Kurt is quiet for a moment. “Okay, I’ll tell you. But only if you promise not to say anything to anyone ever.”
Oooh, a secret. How fun. “I swear, Kurt, or I’m on the first plane back to Ireland.”
“Okay,” Kurt says, a smirk across his face. “So, one time, I was staring out the window and I thought I saw a ghost move through the bushes. It looked kind of like me, only younger, and it scared me to pieces. Or maybe I was imagining things. But every day I come back. Just to check.”
“That is spooky,” Rory says, a chill running up his spine. He looks intently at the foliage lining the walkway. For a moment, he thinks he sees something move. It could be, however, just the wind.
“Don’t believe anything he says,” Blaine Anderson climbs a chair to join them. It gives Rory a fright, and he nearly falls off the chair he’s standing on. Blaine makes sure he doesn’t fall. “Kurt has fed everyone that ridiculous story, and the only terrifying thing that has gone through the courtyard is Sue Sylvester.”
“You don’t know, you weren’t there when it happened,” Kurt says, though his tone is more lighthearted than usual.
“The courtyard isn’t haunted, Kurt.”
“You don’t know that, Blaine.”
“This is all very titillating,” Rory says, grinning. He feels like he’s really a part of something now. “It reminds me of all the ghost stories we told as kids around the campfire. We used to live near a barn that was haunted by a guy who was killed when his wife threw a potato at his head. The ghost was supposedly said to throw potatoes at trespassers of the barn. But it could have been Old Man O’Roarke not wanting kids on his farm.”
Kurt and Blaine both nod quietly to Rory’s story.
“You know, Kurt,” Rory says, as he looks him over. “If you were back home in Ireland, people might think you were my brother. In fact, you look more like my brother than my brother Seamus does. His hair is blonder.”
Kurt immediately scoffs. “That’s ridiculous, I don’t look anything like you.”
Blaine lets out a giggle. “No, I totally see it,” he says, despite Kurt’s glare. “Oh, Kurt, don’t act like you aren’t half Irish.”
“Hummels are German,” Kurt says, holding up a finger to punctuate his point. “And I realize we have the whole Nazi thing to be ashamed of, but Germans were very influential in the invention of Western tonal music, which is the fundamental basis of everything we do in glee club. And we have Neuschwanstein Castle. Blaine, if we ever win the lotto, we’re getting married in that castle.”
“Oh, of course, I’ll make sure to write that down,” Blaine says with a laugh. “But more to the point -- wasn’t your mom Irish?”
“How do you know that?” Kurt asks, a bit shocked.
Blaine gives a shrug. “Your dad was showing me an old yearbook. Her last name was Sullivan. And she had red hair.”
“Sounds legit to me,” Rory agrees.
“Seriously, you have got to stop having conversations with my dad when I’m not around,” Kurt says, rolling his eyes at Blaine.
“Well, maybe someone shouldn’t take so long getting ready that I end up having breakfast with your dad instead of you,” Blaine retorts.
Rory, who is standing between them, wishes he had some popcorn to watch this delightful ping-pong act. He loves the drama this club brings.
“You know when I text you in the morning you should add at least a good ten minutes onto the routine time,” Kurt says, clearly not for the first time.
“Well, maybe you should pick me up for once.”
“Do you really want me having conversations with your dad in the morning?”
Blaine waits a long time before responding. “...No.”
“Hey guys, I think I see that ghost you were talking about,” Rory says suddenly, thinking he’s seeing something on the other side of the courtyard. Kurt and Blaine whip their heads towards the window. “Oh, maybe not. I think that’s just my reflection.”
Kurt groans as he turns to get down from the chair. Blaine lets out a giggle, giving a playful nudge of his elbow to Rory, and gets down, too.
Rory remains staring out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of something he could write home about.

LIKE A CANDLE IN A WINDOW → HEADCANON
who: mateo weston, rory flanagan (@switch-it-up-rory)
when: march 6th, 2021
where: mateo’s room
warnings: feelings!!
Mateo Weston
"I'll have to swing by your work sometime this week," Mat mused, absently tapping through his Netflix library in a half-hearted attempt at finding a movie to put on. Mostly, he was trying to distract himself for at least a moment because he kept catching himself staring at Rory for just a second too long. Maybe some ridiculous comedy show would do the trick and keep him on track until Wednesday. This weekend was supposed to help him calm down so he could be calm, cool and collected when he smoothly told Rory about his feelings over perfectly made stir fry on Wednesday, god damn it. "I've never actually had a smoothie from there and I feel like I gotta change that."
Rory Flanagan
Rory was aware of how comfortable he had made himself on Mateo's bed, settled in as if he himself was part of the furniture, watching the Dominant's hands intently as he scrolled through Netflix, though Rory struggled to concentrate on his good days, never mind when he was this close to the one person he felt like he couldn't have. "They're not that great," He replied, though he felt like his mouth had disconnected from his brain, "Like I'm sure they just shot whatever's closest to them in. I'd just get like a coffee."
Mateo Weston
Laughing to himself, Mat shifted to shoot a look back at Rory who looked way too comfortable and natural cozied up in his bed. It was his fault, really. With his stupid face and stupid smile and the stupid way his dumb hair flopped in his face every now and then. "You're a great spokesperson," he managed after a moment, raising an eyebrow at the other. "They have you outside the store, advertising like that?"
Rory Flanagan
Rory noticed Mat glancing at him, and shot a wink in his direction. "I mean if I were going to be the face of any company, I don't think it'd be The Wave. My allegience is to to Golden Arches, obviously," He mentioned, daring himself to shift closer to Mat, to just be in touching distance. "But I do think me standing otuside with one of those signs would pull in customers. Raw sex appeal and all tha'."
Mateo Weston
His head shook fondly at the mention of McDonalds -- that whole concept still seemed like a fever dream to him that he tried to only acknowledge half of the time. Feeling Rory shift a bit closer, his eyes remained stubbornly on his Laptop even though he'd stopped actually reading any of the names or descriptions a while ago and instead focused entirely of the warmth of Rory radiating against his bare arm. God, this was ridiculous. "Think I'd get a discount for being the first customer?"
Rory Flanagan
Rory frowned slightly when he noticed Mat hover over some terrible chick flick, wondering briefly if the other man had officially lost his marbles. He also thought about taking overthe Netflix selection, but he didn't want to be too obvious in his excuses to simply touch the Dominant. "I mean I'd give you a discount any day, you just have to come in when I'm on shift." Rory told him, honestly.
Mateo Weston
"Oooh, that sounds special treatment to me," Mat hummed, maybe a little high on the proximity as he looked back again, a little distracted by how much closer Rory seemed now than the last time he'd looked at him. His gaze lingered this time, because apparently Rory was now also capable of hypnotising him or something. "Whatever did I do to deserve that?"5. März 2021
Rory Flanagan
Rory scoffed at Mat's light teasing, the words that he wanted to say to the Dom dying on his lips as quickly as they formed, so he shrugged and laughed again. "You feed me and entertain me. I imagine if the gremlins had part time jobs, they'd give those who got them wet and fed them after midnight a bit of special treatment too." He settled for, glancing up at him, feeling weirdly exposed that Mat was right there. Staring. He couldn' think for a moment, just looking up at his stupid face that made Rory catch stupid feelings for this stupid man. "But, uh, who knows. You might get a free smoothie I spat in or something." He tried, though it seemed to fall flat to his ears.
Mateo Weston
A slow, absent grin had spread across Mat's face as he listened. A small part of his brain was aware of how fucking done for he was, considering he was sitting here entirely charmed by talk of spit smoothies, but the bigger part was extremely distracted by that very thing. Rory's stupid pretty face and the stupid charming things he says and how he seems to be able to get under his skin without even trying. How him sitting so close made his skin prickle with heat and his mouth go a little dry. So it took a moment for his brain to recognise his own voice when he spoke. "You're so fucking cute."
Rory Flanagan
It was like everything stopped when the words had left Mateo's mouth. It wasnt like he hadn't complimented Rory before, but never cute, never in that tone of voice. He rasied an eyebrow at the Dominant, trying to work out the game, or the joke, but couldn't sense anything in the other man's facial expressions or the way he spoke. A little voice in Rory's brain, a semblane of hope he thought died long ago from the drugs and the drink, told the Switch this was the proof he needed that Mateo actually liked him, in the way he wanted him to, and he wondered if he dared put the feelers out, to see where this could head. "Aye, so I've been told," He said, after what felt like hundreds of years, "But I guess it, uh, takes a cutie to know one." The delivery couldn't have been lamer, but he felt suddenly sweaty and self-conscious. "I am like, being serious, you're cute too." He mumbled.
Mateo Weston
Where Mat's heart had been pounding a tad faster before, it seemed to straight up drop into his stomach once his brain caught up with his mouth. His eyes widened in realisation and he was about to back-track, cover up what he'd just said -- but he decided against it. It was out now and evidence suggested he was terrible at keeping this a secret anyway so maybe it was worth just seeing what would happen. The long stretch of silence that followed didn't help his nerves though and he almost considered changing the topic anyway. And then Rory spoke and at first, Mat thought he was just going to joke, that he'd have to try and pass it off as a fun little jest as well. But then he kept going and suddenly there was a nervous lump in Mat's throat. Swallowing thickly, he shifted more towards him, voice a little smaller and hopeful than the usual bravado he went into everything with. "Yeah?" he questioned. "...Been thinking that for a hot sec."
Rory Flanagan
It was like all the air had been sucked out of the room when Mat shifted closer to Rory, and though there had been times before this, where they had been intimate within a scene setting, this was so much different. He found himself glancing at the Dominant's mouth, before his eyes locked with his. "Yeah," He agreed, "I mean, I'd argue you're more than cute but if I go on about how attractive I find you, it'll only go to that head of yours," He teaseed, "You have?"
Mateo Weston
At the joke, a bit of held breath spilled out of Mat's lungs, a small chuckle going along with it. It was just what he'd needed to release some tension and with that out of the way, he felt a little brave. Like maybe this wouldn't ruin things. Maybe the opposite. Reaching for one of Rory's hands, he held it between both of his, thumbs rubbing against his skin. "Yeah. That okay?"
Rory Flanagan
Rory felt like a weight had been lifted off him, and he couldn't help the stupid grin on his face when Mat gently reached for his hand, like he was some sort of love interest in a rom-com. "That's more than okay." Rory promised him, "You can think about me being cute or amazing or drop dead sexy and gorgeous anytime." He teased. Another thought popped into his head that made the weight feel like it was slowly descending on him again and he cleared his throat, shifting slightly. "So I take it....by thinking that I'm cute....it means you feel a way about me?" He asked, the actual words he wanted to ask not forming, but he had a feeling Mateo would understand him regardless.
Mateo Weston
"You're gonna make me wanna take it back," he threatened, though there was no real weight to his words, grin still on his face. It was strange, how worried and nervous he'd been about this for a whole week only for things to go so much better than he could have hoped. Rory hadn't fled yet nor had the world collapsed because Mat was interested in a guy. He nodded at his words first, then cleared his throat -- then suddenly let out a small laugh. "God, and I had this whole fucking plan to wine and dine you on Wednesday and have a mature conversation about this. It's your stupid face that did this to me."
Rory Flanagan
Rory hummed in response but he rolled his eyes playfully at the threat, blowing a kiss in response. He knew there was a lot that they needed to unpack, to talk about, but in this moment, the Irish lad just wanted to be happy. Just wanted to enjoy the fact that the guy he had been yearning for returned his affections. His heart panged at the reveal of Mat's plans, and he reached out to stroke his arm in an assuring way, no longer worried about him freaking out at such a gesture. "I mean, you still can. I'm very good at acting surprised. And the whole mature convo, that can come too." He grinned a mischevious grin at the accusation, "Aye don't blame the stupid face you're insanely attracted to, it did nothing but develop out of a good pool of genetics."
Mateo Weston
The grin on his face widened, losing all of its unsure edge. He'd been so concerned that things would change, that they wouldn't be able to be them anymore once this was out in the open and he was so relieved to find that being untrue. "Alright, I'm gonna kiss you now," he announced before leaning in to do just that. It was soft at first, gentle lips against Rory's as his hands came up to cup his face. While Mat may not always choose the gentle approach, he wanted it for this -- he wanted to savour the moment and be able to remember it later.6. März 2021
Rory Flanagan
The Switch was about to make a smart comment about the time between Mat announcing his feelings for him and the lack of kissing, when it seemed like the Dominant had read his mind, and suddenly his lips wre on Rory's. It was much more gentle than Rory had expected, but it was welcome all the same, and he kissed back eagerly, whilst trying to keep things at this same, soft level. The Switch's arms found themselves draped over Mat's shoulders, and it could have been seconds, minutes or even hours by the time they broke apart. "That was nice," He said with a chuckle, feeling like his brain had fell out of his head.
Mateo Weston
Letting out a breathy laugh once the kiss broke, Mat nodded in agreement. "It was." There was a brief pause before he went back, more passionately this time. As ridiculous as he'd felt the past couple of nights, rolling around sleeplessly and thinking about kissing Rory like some sort of innocent schoolboy, he had to admit -- the real thing beat the fantasy. A hand slipped from Rory's jaw into the hair at the back of his head, tilting the other's head in a way that allowed him to deepen the kiss. He could spend forever doing this.

second time lucky-er - self para
Who: Fauna Hudson ft Sawyer, Lisette, Percy, Mary and Maurie
When: sometime last summer
Where: belfast, ireland
What: Fauna and Sawyer decide to go back to school
Warnings: Mentions of rehab/addiction, Percy is in it
It was a strange feeling being congratulated by friends. When Fauna had left school a year early she had done so almost completely in secrecy, with only Rory and Dobsy knowing that she was off to Dublin. When she’d fled Harolds she’d felt very little other than shame, she wasn’t going to graduate and she had no title to her name. Now her classmates patted her on the back as she clung to her diploma, telling her they knew she’d be top of the class, commenting on how happy Sawyer and Maurie had looked for her in the audience. Never in her life did she think that there would be gift bags, and goodbye cards that were just for her. “I can’t believe you barely dropped a mark.” Marietta had whined as she squeezed her in another hug. “You’ll be able to have an internship anywhere you bloody like.” She added with just a slight bite of bitterness.
“I mean you barely dropped a mark either.” She waves off as she adjusts her hair, and then finally gives her class the slip skips towards the door. “Anyway I’ve got to dash. I've got a very handsome boyfriend who I’m sure is desperate to congratulate me. And a father who I believe owes me some graduation guilt money.”
“Alright good luck Fauna..” They call as she disappears around the corner. She spots Sawyer right away, standing a few inches taller than almost everyone else in the waiting crowd. The brunette always found herself looking for him these days, whether it be in one of her hometown bars where he could usually be found quietly nursing his coke and trying to stay out of everyone's way or standing in tescos trying to decipher the list of treats that Rory had requested as though they were a foriegn language. Now though he is deep in conversation with her mother about something, her heart twinges just a little as she looks over at her family. Maurie stunning as ever in a sundress, Sawyer scratching the back of his head as he tried to keep up with the conversation, Lisette nervously playing with her hair, her father stiff in his suit and her mother fiddling with the edge of her blouse, always a little uncomfortable. It was almost perfect, almost but not quite. Because there should be someone standing in between Sawyer and her mother, breaking up their polite conversation with things that made Percy go red with rage. Rory. His absence was a gaping hole in the crowd of people who she would have wanted to see her on her big day. She’d tried to talk Percy into letting him out for the day to come and see her but her father had denied the request, insisting that if she really thought her brother was okay to come out of rehab then he should simply not be in there at all and stop costing them all so much money. So she’d dropped the subject, and just knew that Rory would be with her in spirit. She pushes down the sadness that had started to gather and instead took a running jump at Sawyer, who caught her at the very last minute.
“Congratulations Kitten, you gave a great speech. I particularly liked when you thanked your entire animal crossing village for your success” He laughed, pulling her close and accepting the kiss that she pressed upon him legs wrapped tight around him as he held her up. She crinkles her nose as he pulls back to look at her brushing her hair off her cheek, and then kissing her again. “Or should I say congratulations Doctor Eloise.”
“Doctor Flanagan.” Percy muttered from beside them as if he had ever cared about her carrying around his last name, and Fauna rolled her eyes and kissed Sawyer again. “Do you two have to make such a scene, this is a public place not a brothel.”
“Doctor Hungry.” She argued, deciding that she would keep the conversation light, and ignored his request for her to dismount her boyfriend, choosing instead to press a kiss against Sawyers neck. “No I’m serious.. Feed me, literally what else did I work myself to the bone for?” Sawyer laughed softly against her skin though Percy looked less than impressed, he looked like he might take the opportunity to remind her that submissives didn’t make demands.
“Lucky I booked us a table at Prosciutti then isn’t it?” Maurie interjects and Fauna makes a little whoop. Prosciutti was the best Italian restaurant in town, somewhere that she and Sawyer could never afford but they’d always drooled over the menu anyway from the Greggs across the street while they picked up their discount sandwiches.
“Have I ever told you that you’re the best ever?” Fauna asked with a giggle. “And even if I have let me say it again, you are the best ever and I do not deserve you.” The brunette declared, watching as the other woman's face lit up at her declaration.
“I’m paying.” Percy says, and Fauna resists the urge to roll her eyes could anything ever be about anyone else for even ten seconds or if he would always need credit for simply breathing in and out. She flashes him a smile though because she’s trying for peace today. Really it should be all about her, after all she did just become the first Doctor ever in the family but she never really expected it to be, Percy hated to be overshadowed and the tension lines in their family never really disappeared for long.
Sawyer in his usual way seemed to see that she was tensing a little and pressed another kiss to her head. “Well done Fauna, we're all so proud of you.” He reminded her, and she couldn’t stop the smile from returning to her face, he always managed to cheer her up.
Dinner went by without much event, just everyone toasting to her and Percy trying to make it about himself. It wasn’t until they’d transferred to a pub for a round of celebratory drinks and she was sipping beer in Sawyer's lap after Percy had found someone he knew at the bar that the conversation turned to something with a little more substance. “Well I’m all qualified now.” She said, playing with the collar of his shirt. “What should we do next?” Sawyer had finished his own course a few weeks ago, so now there was nothing that particularly tied them to Ireland other than Rory. Their flat was cosy but even with Lisette staying on the couch it didn’t completely feel like a long term home.
Sawyer looked at her for a moment. “I mean my next thought is that we should get claimed.” He suggested, his finger tracing over her exposed thigh. She nodded in agreement, that also seemed like the next logical step to her. She’d been ready to tie herself to him almost since the day she’d met him, but she hadn’t felt like that was possible in Ohio, the climate had been strange and unwelcoming to their relationship. She hadn’t felt like the headmasters there would ever approve their claim, and with the threat of being cut off if they couldn’t get their claim through the first time she hadn’t dared to really think about it.
“I agree.” She responded eagerly. “It’s smart of you to want to snap me up, I am after all a Doctor now so offers of marriage will probably start pouring in.” The brunette teased, taking another long drink from her beer. “I don’t want to go back to Ohio though.. I know it’s your home state but.. I don’t feel like that school.. Would ever.” She didn’t need to finish her sentence because he was already nodding, Fauna hadn’t thought he’d want to go back to the school that had killed both of their mental health so hard but she’d found herself needing to make sure anyway.
“No.. I don’t think that environment was the right one for us.” Sawyer agreed, his gaze also wandering over to Lisette who was in conversation with her mother next to the fireplace. The other brunette was only just starting to open up again and the last thing that the girl needed was a reminder of where she’d come from. “I’m thinking we could look at other finishing schools.. Evan is over in Florida, but we could look at some here?” He suggested and Fauna mulled over the thought. Did she want to go to finishing school here in Ireland, with her father breathing down her neck and the possibility that people from her past might be able to wander through the doors.
“Maybe.. But I think maybe.. We should look in the US.. I mean the plan is still eventually Malibu right?” Fauna quizzed. “There’s a lot of ground to cover over your way you know, whereas I’d probably know half the student body of anywhere around here.” Sawyer nodded and Fauna noticed that he’d perked up a little more. Though she knew that he’d follow her anywhere, she imagined that he was glad at the opportunity to be closer to his family.
“Sounds good Doctor Kitten.” He agreed and they clinked their glasses together with smiles on their faces and the future on their mind.

FULL BIO
· What’s better than sugar? That’s right, Candy! Candace Motta is the daughter of Sugar Motta and Rory Flanagan. She was born on February 14th and she is an only child. Ever since she was a kid, she has lived with Sugar – after all, Sugar and Rory got divorced when she was just a baby and sometime after that, her dad got deported back to Ireland. Candy was young when this happened, but she still keeps in touch with her dad from time to time, whether it’s by Facetime or just visiting him in Ireland – after all, she does have the money.
· Being a Motta comes with perks – everyone in Lima knew her grandfather, Al Motta – the wealthy owner of a piano business. However, since he passed away, Sugar Motta became the owner of this business, which only means that money was never short whenever Candy needed it. And thanks to this, Candy always got whatever she wanted – clothes, a car and everything you can imagine. It didn’t help that Sugar spoiled her daughter so much, but Candy grew up to this and now whenever she doesn’t get what she wants, she makes sure to get it one way or another (even it involves crying about it, which has happened).
· Unlike Sugar, Candy can actually sing – you can thank all of those singing lessons that her mom made her take when she was younger. However, Candy was thankful for them once she reached high school – the first thing she did was join the Troubletones, claiming that she deserved to be the captain since it was her mom who created the glee club. Of course it didn’t take her long to become the actual captain of the club and on top of that, she loves performing and she does like being in Glee Club – it’s probably her favorite part of the day.
· When it comes to school, Candy gets good grades – but that doesn’t mean she really cares about school. Her plan is pretty easy – after graduation, she intends to move to LA, become a famous singer and record her debut album that will throw her into stardom. Unlike many other Glee kids, she wants nothing to do with Broadway – she mostly just wants to be famous and she will stop at nothing to get the stardom that she rightfully thinks she deserves.

Requested by anon a while back (x), and since I didn’t have the inspiration to write it as a long imagine, I did this! Hope you like it :)
Santana rolled her eyes at you, seeing as you wouldn’t stop looking at Brittany talking to Rory.
“If you like him so much, why don’t you talk to Brit?” Your sister nudged you. “You know she’s great, if you tell her, she'll probably step back”
“I don’t know...” You finally looked away, staring down to your shoes.
“Or talk to him already!” Santana insisted, fed up with your resignation.
“I can’t!” You dreaded it just thinking about it. “What would I even say?”
“Sometimes I wonder if you’re really my sister” Santana joked, even if she rolled her eyes again.
Before you knew, though, a certain someone approached you and Santana.
“Hi, Y/N” There was Rory, smiling at you.
“H-Hello!” You said, trying to smile back.
“I’ll leave you two alone” Your sister began walking away, not without a wide smirk.

You’re a Reader*Glee Preference
Masterlist HERE
Wattpad HERE
Artie He thought it was cute when you got lost in a book. No matter where you were a book was in your bag. This meant at glee club when everyone would be fighting over a solo you were peacefully reading. Artie couldn’t help but stare at you. When you felt his lingering eyes eventually you’d look up, a slight blush on your face, and tell him to stop. He hardly ever did, and it was for mere minutes at most. You got used to his stares though.
Blaine When you finished a book, you got excited. But since you didn’t have too many reader friends you turned to Blaine to rant and rave about your book. He has no clue about anything to do with shadowhunters but happily listened to you rant about how Camille should’ve kept her nose out of it and left Malec alone. He wasn’t even too sure what Malec was. Blaine loved the passion you had about your books and could listen to you for hours. You would always catch him not paying attention and ask him if he was listening. His response was always “It's cute to see you all fired up,” causing you to fake glare but continue your rant.
Finn Finn doesn’t understand your obsession with reading. He would much rather put on the film and eat popcorn. You and Finn have had many petty fights about what’s better. Eventually, you decided that while he was watching the film you’d read. Cuddled up into his side, popcorn in between the two of you, you would have your headphones in and listen to music while you read the book of whatever movie was on. Since the book took longer to read you’d either wait till you were mostly finished the book. After you were both finished you were able to talk about the book and movie with only a bit of confusion.
Kurt Kurt liked to read magazines and blogs but you were into hardbacks and kindles. He, like a lot of unfortunate souls, didn’t understand the appeal of reading despite you pointing out he read more magazines than you did books. The conversation of books didn’t often come up in your relationship. Well until one day Kurt was sick. You ended up with him snuggling into your side, sniffling and complaining, while you read to him to put him to sleep. Turns out Kurt loved audible books, specifically if you were reading it.
Mike Mike was raised to read non-fiction books stuffed with facts and learning. This was a huge contrast to your fantasy and sci-fi taste. He could never understand why you liked reading since he had always been forced to do so. Until one day you got him to read City of Bones. You lent him a copy over the weekend and on Monday he came in and demanded you lend him the 2nd book. As mike found out you only need to find the right book to make someone a reader.
Puck Puck wasn’t always a stand-up guy. He had teased a lot of people for reading. When you had joined glee club he knew you were kinda scared of him so he did his best to play nice. He would always notice a book in your possession. He’d end up staring at you when you read. One time when you were sitting on a bench at lunch you saw him approaching you. “If you’re gonna tease me can you get it over with. I’m quite enjoying this book,” He sat down next to you and ignored your comment. Instead, he asked, “What’s it about?” Puck surprised you but you told him. He never became a big reader but would always make a point of asking what you were reading. Whenever someone teased you for being a bookworm he’d jump to your defense “Jealous because (Y/N) can actually read?” normally shut people up. That and the fact he could probably snap them in half.
Quinn Quinn used to be a reader. As a child, she would read harry potter back to front. However, after some teasing, she decided to be hot instead of smart. You made her realize she could be both. It started off when she asked you about your book and you let her borrow it. It eventually ended up with Quinn becoming a full-on bookworm and you had a shared mini library.
Rory When Rory came to America he was looking for friends and did anything to get them. When he realized you, his crush, was a big reader he went to the library and got the book you’d been reading. He forced himself to read it but he didn’t really like The Girl With All The Gifts. However, when you saw him reading the book in glee you had to talk to him. It was the first proper conversation he’d had with you. When you found out he didn’t really like the book you were a bit sad. Instead of moping that your crush didn’t like it you suggested another book, Game of Thrones. Sure it was a hefty read but Rory kept at it. Once he was halfway through the first book, with a lot of perseverance, he realized it was kinda good. Plus he did feel rebellious since his mother would kill him for reading it.
Santana Reading was lame. Uncool. For Nerds. This is Santana’s mindset which is why when she invited you over to practice the duet Mr. Shue was making you do you were surprised to see the fault in our stars on her bed. You quirked an eyebrow when you saw it and she rushed to hide it, saying it was her moms. It wasn’t until you showed her your phone lock screen, a picture of Hazel and Gus, did she stop suddenly. “Gus didn’t deserve to die,” She complained, flopping on the bed. “I hate to love John Green,” You ended up bonding over your shared hatred of the ending but the love of the book. That was when you found out Santana loved sappy romance novels. When you went to school the next day everyone was surprised to see you and Santana talking but no one dared question it. Partly because Santana is Santana, but also because they all saw the fiery passion of two teenagers talking about Every Heart a Doorway.
Sebastian When you first met Sebastian there was a mini-feud. Eventually, he kept trying to ask you out and you never believed he had any good intentions. Until one day when you were reading your book and drinking your coffee at the Lima Bean, waiting for Kurt, he came up to you, book in hand. He sat it on your table, said nothing, and kept walking. You opened the book, carefully because who knows and saw a note. It said ‘I saw you reading A Court Of Thornes And Roses and thought you’d like it’. You turned the book over, inspecting it. It was three dark crowns. You’d heard of it but hadn’t picked it up. You ended up finishing it over the weekend. When you got to the last page you noticed his number scribbled on the book with the words, call me if you wanna talk about the book. Sebastian answered the unknown number only to hear “Okay, so Kathrine better recover because I am not OKAY!” “Hello to you too (Y/N)”

WELCOME TO THE CHOIR ROOM, CANDY MOTTA (billie lourd fc),
here is your SCHEDULE! you have twenty-four hours to turn in your account and post an intro. good luck and have fun with the semester!
[BILLIE LOURD, F, SHE/HER] who’s that? oh it’s {CANDACE “CANDY” MOTTA}. i hear they’re {17} and a {SENIOR} at {WMHS}, * have a voice like {KATE ROCKWELL} *and are part of {TROUBLETONES CAPTAIN, TENNIS, THE TITAN TIMES }. they’re known to be { OPEN-MINDED and OUTGOING } and {CONCEITED and OBNOXIOUS}. some people say they remind them of { PINK HEART SHAPED GLASSES, WALLETS FULL OF MONEY, PINK LIPGLOSS WITH GLITTER }. only one way to find out! [it’s a-me, pedro]
What’s better than sugar? That’s right, Candy! Candace Motta is the daughter of Sugar Motta and Rory Flanagan. She was born on February 14th and she is an only child. Ever since she was a kid, she has lived with Sugar – after all, Sugar and Rory got divorced when she was just a baby and sometime after that, her dad got deported back to Ireland. Candy was young when this happened, but she still keeps in touch with her dad from time to time, whether it’s by Facetime or just visiting him in Ireland – after all, she does have the money.
Being a Motta comes with perks – everyone in Lima knew her grandfather, Al Motta – the wealthy owner of a piano business.
Unlike Sugar, Candy can actually sing – you can thank all of those singing lessons that her mom made her take when she was younger.
When it comes to school, Candy gets good grades – but that doesn’t mean she really cares about school.

Hi! Im new to requesting things so im sorry if its done wrong! If you can, is there something you could do with rory Flanagan? Like literally any thing?
im sorry but i dont do glee requests, it’s not a fandom im in so i cant do anything for him.
faq with most fandoms i do is here (though there is a couple missing from the list like star wars)
also when sending in a request, it needs to be a full request ie - a prompt for (character) about comforting the reader when they have a nightmare /// imagine (character) finding out that their significant other is pregnant. and one shot requests are closed indefinitely xx
