It's been a couple of months, now, and little Roni has really settled in nicely with the others.
He doesn't seem all that keen on battling, though-- and that's totally okay with me. I already live with my team of six Champion-Ranked fighters anyway, so if he wants to buck that trend, he can absolutely be my guest!
(Obviously, I'd have no intention of forcing him to do anything against his wishes anyway; it just so happens to make a refreshing change from what I'm used to..!)

considering what kind of pkmn my trainers would be in a pmd au... most of them will probably just be their starter but some could be interesting
melody - chikorita
yumi - dewott
melisa - snivy but also maybe shinx or meinfoo or teddiursa?
rosé - hmm well ofc the easy answer is fennekin, but it's so stick-like I feel like that does disrespect to her bodytype... maybe something like wigglytuff?? idk...
azure - treecko? but like a shiny one so he can be blue. either that or lotad
indigo - alolan grimer? or crabrawler!
clare - sobble
roni - jigglypuff
ruby - litleo
arthur - piplup or cherubi or burmey
akira - probably also oshawott/dewott
sora - pidgey
tina - chimchar or bronzor
sel - alolan sandshrew
ami - mudkip
tia - squirtle or oddish
hydrangea - froakie or flabebé
lime - pikachu
vermillion - torchic or whismer
vivi - somekind of fighting type... i guess tyrogue (starter)?
aurora - turtwig
nami - contractually obligated to be pikachu
olive - larvitar?
lila - piplup or ralts (?)
theo - chimchar or charmander
junji - croagunk
kiyomi - buneary?
perry - dratini or aron

Um..??
So I’ve popped back to visit my parents and collect the last of my things that we couldn’t fit in the moving-van the first time, and,
Was anyone going to tell me about the wild Snivy that has taken up residence in my old bedroom?! How did this happen? How long has he been here? Was he here, unbeknownst to me, before I even moved out?!
I checked, and he doesn’t have an OT or any other kind of ID, so I don’t have a clue where he came from, so… what say you, Rotomblr? Should I adopt the little guy?

I do kind of feel bad about whenever I have to do laundry, because the last 15 minutes or so of each cycle makes the machine vibrate like it's trying to use Earthquake, and I worry about disturbing the neighbours that may or may not exist (I'm not entirely sure, to be honest..!)
But..! As it turns out, Meredith-- and now Roni as well-- seem rather fond of hopping up onto the shelf directly above the washing-machine and riding the jiggles out until the cycle ends. They put the "vibe" in "vibration", I suppose..!

Okay, it’s been about a day, and things seem to be going okay.
To recap: while clearing out my old room in my parents’ house, I discovered a wild Snivy had somehow got in and made himself at home among my stuff (because, as it turns out, my mother had left the window open, “to let some air in”… which doesn’t explain where this non-native-to-this-region lad came from, but hey).
Since then, I’ve let him know, to the best of my abilities, that I’m not a threat or anything— and I think he recognises that this room is “my” “territory”, because… I guess the room smells like me or vice versa? Anyway, he doesn’t seem to be afraid of me, and he even cautiously curled up to sleep on my bed last night; so I think he’s amenable to joining my team.
He watched me play some mahjong earlier, and got surprisingly invested; so I think I’ll call him Roni (short for Tyrone, but only if he’s naughty..!)

I had a feeling all the rain we had last month was building up to a September heatwave, and sure enough, here we are. And southern Galar is supposed to be cold!
Well, at least Roni is thriving, even if the rest of my team and I are having a harder time coping with the heat..!

Home at last, with all my various errands run for the time being; so... time for Roni to meet the rest of my team..!
When I went down to visit my parents, I only brought Simon with me; and Basti came back here with us, to help unload the moving-van. I’m not sure if that set enough of a precedent, in Roni’s mind, that he might have to share his new living-space with a few more friends..!
So, that being the case, here are Roni’s first impressions of everyone, as best as I can interpret from his reactions...
Simon the Lucario: gentle, trustworthy, not scary Basti, my father’s Obstagoon: TERRIFYING BEAST! I AIN’T SCARE OF NO THING BUT THAT’S A BEAST-- oh he’s gentle and snuggly actually? Okay I Like This One Reuben, my mother’s Corviknight: BIG FRIGHTEN. SCARY BIRD. NOPE.
...and now that we’re back home, Meredith the Espeon: smells interesting, impressive agility :o Dennis the Toxtricity: STINKY :P ...but must re-sniff to be sure Paisley the Zoroark: could choose to be aggressive but doesn’t, so... a friend? Wilhelmina the Frosmoth: WHAT THE HECC ARE YOU Marcus the Inteleon: tall... climbable >:3
In short, we’ve had a lot of curious Snivy bleppery, but-- mercifully-- he’s settling in fantastically.

May I ask what is your team of mons at your disposal?
Sure thing!
I've got a dedicated page that anyone can refer back to if you want the specifics about my main team, but the lowdown is:
Marcus the Inteleon Meredith the Espeon Paisley the Zoroark Simon the Lucario Wilhelmina the Frosmoth Dennis the Toxtricity (Amped Form)
…and as of more recently, I’ve had the fortune of adopting a Snivy, whom I’ve named Tyrone (or Roni, for short).
-
As well as those, I’ve spent a lot of time around my parents and their Partner Pokémon:
Beatrice the Eevee (...Well, she's more like a family pet than anyone's specific partner)* Reuben the Corviknight (my mother's) Sebastian the Obstagoon (my father's)
And... at this point, it almost feels like bragging-- which, I assure you, dear anon, is not the point..!-- I've done a fair bit of travelling in my time, and helped out with research on behalf of a couple of regions' Pokémon Professors, which, naturally, involved catching quite a few other species...
*We lost Beatrice on the 18th of February 2023, to natural causes.
