A Nightmare on Elm Street will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray in Steelbook and standard packaging on October 15 via Warner Bros. The 1984 slasher classic is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

In additional to the theatrical version, the unrated cut - featuring eight additional seconds of gore during Tina's death scene - is included for the first time in the US.

Wes Craven (Scream) writes and directs. Heather Langenkamp, John Saxon, Ronee Blakley, Johnny Depp, Amanda Wyss, Nick Corri, and Robert Englund star.

stalking ronee blakely’s instagram as a result of reading slow days fast company. she seemed like she was not super concerned with commercializing herself even during the height of her popularity. i think maybe one day someone will immortalize me in a book and use a pseudonym and a young girl will scower the internet to find my true identity and follow me on instagram when im 70 (god forbid). will that be enough, or will i wish i was joni or patti or bob or literally any one of my peers that went on to become literal legends.

to be clear this isn’t a dig because i think ronee has a cool name and probably the better life of an obscure legendary status. i am just imagining.
