Thinking about...how Raf hates being expected to perform moderate-to-grand guestures or give things in a relationship [any relationship, platonic, romatic, whatever]--not because he dislikes doing/giving nice things for/to people--but because he hates feeling like that's all people are after with him. Upon meeting almost anyone, and whilst getting to know them, he usually acts very aloof and unobservant, just to measure how willing people are to just... enjoy moments with him. He measures their disappointment when he fails to extend his resources to offer anything grand or surprising. Also, he likes to see how much they ask from him, how they ask it... and how they respond to being told 'no'. And the more they seem to expect of him, the less he is inclined to offer. He does all this within the bounds of amiciability; he's kind, politely mannered, and tries his best to keep things fun and lighthearted, even if the vibes he is receiving begin to feel a bit rancid. But even so, this whole song and dance is a product of mental illness; "rancid vibes" arrive to him via the tiniest cues and guestures that are almost undetectable to most others, and are usually--often--not actually wholly indicative of the traits and personality types that Raf is trying to protect himself from. But...this is why he has so few friends, despite having innumerable "amiciable" aquaintences lmao.

In romantic relationships, one of the most difficult things for him to encounter is when he get the sense [real or percieved] that someone is withholding their love/joy until they get what they are hoping to receive from him. Maybe a paid compliment, a specific subject of conversation, a particular purchase?? There is a weighty sense that they have a goal in mind for this interaction that he needs to figure out and provide in order to "win" or "earn" the feeling that the other person is enjoying their time with him. He hates that lmao. His impulse, especially very early into the relationship, is to give them nothing more than he had initially planned to offer and see how they manage.

He put Margie through these paces, too. But Margie is so...oblivious and wears her love and joy so freely and expressively--Raf has never once felt like he had to work to earn it from her. She's never seemed to clock him for deliberately failing to deliver on any perceived expectations, maybe because those expectations never existed in the first place. And it's kinda funny the effect this had [and continues to have] on him--where it kinda compells him to splurge on her far, far more than he'd otherwise be comfortable with--just because he loves watching her lose her absolute shit [positive] over any extra little guesture he's able to provide. In a way, I guess it probably feels empowering. A nice dinner is nothing for him, but apparently, it is beyond expectation for her and will put her on cloud nine for weeks lmaooo. And even after years of being together, that same dinner will still make her just as happy as it did the first time lmao

He loves doing nice things for her and giving her gifts--because it genuinely feels like a gift, and not the fullfilment of an expectation. She gives him all the love he needs by just being with him in any given moment, he doesn't need to buy or earn that. He's not attempting to pour joy into a constantly draining well, he's planting flowers that'll blossom on the banks of its overflow, and the lushness of color is something they get to enjoy together.

I feel like you'd have to be really close to him for him to have the enough trust to sleep with you. And if you are lucky enough he will take off his mask.

His back will be facing you though. (At the start of the night)

Just like his son, he moves a lot in his sleep, but he doesn't want to admit it.

He doesn't talk though, it would be funny.

In the middle of the night he will wake up and admire how calm you look. He's always looked out for you in the battlefield, trying to protect you. And now you seem so calm next to him, like he wasn't that dangerous. Like hadn't been so mean to you.

When you wake up he'll already be ready to go back to base. His mean facade still on, but in his mind he's thinking about inviting you to a fancy restaurant where people dance to classical songs and eat fancy things.

He's as hopeless romatic as Scout, you can't change my mind.

If you're a heavy sleeper that's good you won't hear him. However, if you are light sleeper you are screwed 💀 I'm so sorry.

He doesn't move while sleeping, he's like a rock. If he sleep in one specific position he will wake up in the same position.

So yeah, he doesn't mind sleeping in the same bed with you, he sees it as an opportunity to prove your trust on him and his trust on you, because he thinks trust is the base of any relationship.

In the morning he will wake up first and prepare everything to go back to base. He will even fold your uniform so you don't have to find them.

I still can’t believe majority of the fandom read Fire&Blood and concluded that Laena was Daemon’s true love. There is literally no word about how they felt about each other. They seemed to have gotten along but doesn’t mean they were in love. Believing the singers about how Daemon fell in love with Laena is just stupid. The singers are literally the most unreliable sources, they know nothing. Daemon challenged her betrothed and married her because he was exiled with no power nor family and there’s also the fact that Rhaenyra was unfortunately unavailable. Had Rhaenyra been available, Daemon would no doubt choose her over any other girl. As for Daemon carrying Laena back to bed when she was dying, its not a romatic gesture at all. It was human decency. What was he suppose to do? Leave her there to die? Daemon might have cared for her but it was definitely not as a woman he was inlove with, perhaps more of a friend or a companion and mother to his daughters. I think his actions after she died speak for themselves. That man wasted no time to get Rhaenyra and didn’t even care to honour Laena’s memories by waiting atleast after his mourning period to go after Rhaenyra. He didn’t even care about Viserys’ ire nor the Velaryons. Also, seems like so many people overlook how in Laena’s last moments; she wanted to be with her dragon. Not the husband she was supposedly inlove with, not even her own daughters. She chose her dragon over her own family.

AGHHHHHHH i was about to go to sleep but healty schedules are overrated. Take a sit cuz this is gonna be LONG bc i dont know how to get to the point (jump right to the end to get the 3 lines resume lmao)

if you ask me why i like right now: he's a dramatic loser. But that was when i finally understood his character! you wouldn't be surprised if tell you that i'm an idiot right? i'm super slow to read between lines and understand people, that applies to fictional characters too lmao (+add that english isn't my first language) So! at first i didn't actually understood what was going on with -well- anything :D.

Took me a few playthroughs to actually understand the game in general, i started to play before step 4 was out so all i could do was play and replay different ways to fall in love with Cove (starting to crush at step3 was my fav) but tbh he was never my *type*, Derek was interesting but just bc he like us by default. Even after playing his dlc i felt like he was just a really good friend (which was kinda weird bc to this point i've just played his romantic route). So, what's different with Baxter?

To begin with! he's... he's....... huhh my first impression wasn't actually strong tbh, i was like "huh new guy to date yay". I didn't actually understood his character the first few playthroughs ngl. I started in fond ofc to get into the dlc but *I* was pretty indifferent, probably in Drinks where we finally see Morning Baxter was that i said "oh shit he's cute" and cuteness+gapmoe is enough to make me fall for any character tbh.

But! that was not enough to provoke a brainrot like this right? i'm the "Oh i love this *forgets about in a week*" type. What sealed the deal (badum tss) was probably bc of the fandom? Once i was done replaying the dlc 5 times in a row i went straight to tumblr to feed of headcanons, fanarts and fanfics. My favorite way to understand a character is thru the fandom tbh, my favs are the long aa essays talking about a character personality.

Long story short, he was dramatic troubled flirty gap-moe guy (my fictional type, coincidentally) with an excellent storyline. I still wasn't 100% into him but he was top1 romatic choice for me (sorry Cove and Derek, love ya but platonically), so i made 2 fanarts for his dlc in may and let the hype die... only for 6 months otherwise we wouldn't be here, would we?

AH-HA-HEM the day 28th of november, beginnings of summer, i went out in the morning to do some errands with my mom, we stopped to buy vegetables in our way home and she bought a small watermelon bc i love them. That same afternoon i was eating it and thought "watermelons are finally here, summer it's officially here!" and got struck with Olba memories like a sleeper agent. (made a minicomic abt that, that's why i have the exact date lol) SO i replayed the game again, reading everything again, and oh boy i finally understood so many things, one of those things was Baxter himself!

A lot of stuff made sense once i actually took the time to comprehend his character with the information i gained out of the game (mainly all the asks ppl sent to gb). Add the way that i always played like *me* on my first playthroughs of anything and then you'll notice why he hit me so hard, it felt like i wasn't giving him enough credit before dasjkfas.

Tbh his dlc is my fav bc it has such a strong storyline, you get to know him and his insecurities thru all step 3, and have a lot of sweet moments too! (and that night goodbye?? omg it hits me so hard bc it's right after the ending song) and because step 4 it's right after you go with all the fresh memories of your summer together and seeing him so cold towards you it's so painful but also so funny because HA I CAN SEE THRU YOUR FACADE YOU STILL LIKE ME HAHAHA and i finally knew the perfect word for him: loser.

Anyways i also did a deep dive in the Olba and Baxter Ward tag here in tumblr and eat pretty much everything, also helped me to get a better grasp for all the little details i didn't noticed before bc haha i told you im an idiot?

sO yeah i made a few drawings of my Mc interacting with the characters, surprisingly it got a lot of attention from the fandom so i made a few more and when i noticed i was deep into the brainrot and i wasn't able to draw anything besides my Ruri and Baxter being cute lmao

Funfact. Ruri is a variation of Rui (duh) that i used in games when i didn't feel like i wanted to be called my name directly, now that she expropriated me of that name i use Ruru, i'm so creative right?

Long story short: it was mix of the game itself, fandom content and people actually liking my oc content. The fandom is super welcoming with everyone's oc's i love that akjdlfhask

He keeps them hanging on the wall of his family home, he thinks his family seeing the love you feel for him is the most romatic thing in the world.

Zhongli

So, to set the setting(almost animatic style script):

Half-humanformers type thing, set about late 1800s, phantom of the opera vibes, indoors, big ass theater, night-time/after hours; we can't really see what time it is, neither does it matter since there are no windows to show.

The scene feels timeless, as if frozen.

Optimus is cleaning, alone, on stage.

He slowly stops his mopping and looks around the theater, remember his youth.

He slowly leans his mop against the wall and walks center-stage, brushing his fingers onto the back of a chair.

Megatron is walking by in the back rows of the lowest level seating, inspecting and making sure everything is prepared for the next performance. He sees Optimus, but Optimus does not see him.

Strings start playing as Optimus the theater brings back old memories.

He starts singing.

Megatron is enraptured, just staring at this maintenance bot with an angelic voice, absolutely flooring him with raw talent and expert control for someone whose only background in theater is (to him, at least) cleaning backstage.

[I have this whole thing play out in my head like a music video of as the song continues, when there are cetain cues when the music picks up/drops, Megs is sort of starting to realize that he knows this voice, but particularly this song; and as Op continues singing, we are thrown back in time where we see Megs does know this bot and this lullaby. We go back to about when they were kids, Megs looking at Op from afar and Optimus never once noticing him]

^^ that just popped into my head, but I like where it's going.

The whole idea is that Megs and Op have seen each other when they were younger, and the positions they are in now were the absolute opposite when they were kids. Op was wealthy and had money while Megs was on the streets. Their situations slowly changed over time, and now Megs owns this real big theater and his operas and shows are the most popular among the people and Op is just working backstage as a cleaner.

There's still a lot more to refine, but I can totally see this as a drama/romatic Y/A film and I love that lol.
