DAY 31: COSTUMES

So, here's the dcla characters' halloween costumes!

Remember last year that Luna and Simón really wanted to dress up as Team Rocket, but Ámbar didn't want to be Meowth?

Well, maybe they convinced her this year.

Their friends thought about perhaps dressing up as Willy Wonka and all the kids. Matteo really wanted to be Willy Wonka, but Ramiro called dibs.

(Mike: Gastón, Augustus: Matteo, Willy Wonka: Ramiro, Charlie: Nina, Violet: Yam, Veruca: Jim)

Nina already had that shirt lying around, so being Charlie was just perfect. Yam has been chewing on a gum for 5 hours, she's so tired, but hey, you gotta stick to the character!

I thought long and hard about who's gonna dress up as Utena and Anthy... and eventually, it was Franletta that won!

They got a lot of wigs and fake glasses from their Roxy and Fausta days!

For Ludmila and Naty, I thought about letting them dress up as two characters from a show that might be a bit obscure for the general public. I had to google if it even aired in latin america - it did! But I'm not so sure how popular it was. But maybe that's fun, Ludmila and Naty dress up and asks everyone to guess.

For those of you who don't know: They're characters from a kids show named Creepschool.

Camila, Maxi, Broduey, Andrés and Leon decided to dress up as Shrek characters

They really tried to get Leon to dress up as Lord Farquad, but he insisted on a blind mouse.

Marco and Diego decided to dress up as Sportacus and Robbie Rotten. Federico wanted to join in, just so he'd have an excuse to belt out some bangers.

And that's all the characters I came up with something for! See ya next year!

Ngl, I audibly screamed a little when I saw Giovanni was this month's Lodge pair. I've had people say that it was unlikely the villains would come to the Lodge, and while it may be just him for now, this raises my hopes of Cyrus or Lysandre being added one day, at least a little bit!

But EXs for Thorton and Shauntal being unlocked, and (presumably) spotlight Lenora and a couple new variety banners for Thorton (Magnezone) and Noland (Ninjask). Aside from some Pokemon I really like becoming playable, most pairs seem pretty skippable except for Rei. (I already have Dark Zone with Cyrus and Neo Champ Calem.)

Edit: Thorton has an EX already (totally forgot tbh given I never used him ever), so not quite sure why AbsolutelyPM uploaded it again unless his palette changes when you EX Magnezone. That said, the only variety banners I've Scouted on are the ones that do change colors in their EX (Ball Guy, the Rocket admins) and not old characters like Kiawe/Mallow/etc, so I'm not sure which pairs change, even if it's into their original EX colors they have for their regular partners.

If anyone's wondering, "gonturan's rocket jumping adventures" is not something I consider abandoned. I'm just not in the mood to play video games lately. I'm juggling several hobbies at a time all the time, my brain only can focus a lot on one thing, and right now, the thing is the Sniper backstory fic that's been haunting me for over a year. I want to write this dang thing. I wanna get faster so I can fail faster, and then learn faster, and get this darn thing onto the internet so I can move on. Idk when I'll go back to rocketjumping, but it is something I still enjoy, and I love challenges.

when my brother beefed up the electrical line out to his garage, we first had to dig up the old line. which was about 6" below soil level and also insulated with bike innertubes. thanks for that, grampa.

current code is I think 18" deep? so bro had us bury the new line like 22" down. in conduit. and now he can weld in his driveway. 👍
