Making split and riven dowels for attaching the shelf to one of my benches. Much stronger than a turned dowel. Here is the glue up of my bench with a shelf below utilizing the riven dowels from my last post. If you notice at the end of the video I slipped off the wedge as I was driving it in and dented the top. Not to worry I have a solution for that and will share it soon.
