Anyways its about a human Perry who quits OWCA and adopts the kids after his brother Lawrence and Lawrence's wife Linda die in a car accident (insane premise) and then him and Doof raise the kids with Vanessa? It's literally so wholesome and cute and family friendly, god I love this fic I have to go read it again I wish there was more.

This is a fic about the members of Rick's group waking up before the apocalypse began but some have their memories of the events to come, so they start gathering, finding each other, and setting up the best location to hunker down. I just for some reason could spend hours reading about their little house mission and the seeds and working on getting generators to the farm, god, the tension of the time ticking down gets me.

Also Ice using sign is always a fucking bonus to me.

This fanfiction was last updated in 2015, but I only watched 2010 Spartacus in 2021 and that's what hurts most of all, huh? What a fantastic show. There would probably be a ton more nagron fics on here but I stopped reading unfinished fics from 2012 😔. Like genuinely though I've bled that fandom dry, I've read every single Barca/Pietros fic that exists.

This fic is still being updated, I believe it's just slow because each chapter is an epic. It's just really cool and you all should read it. It's a regency era Harry Potter fic which like, all the ships getting their own plot. Also love love Harry just, growing up rich and cool with his parents lol. I think the dialogue is super fun and I'm very invested in every characters plot so far.

It's so close though!!! I've read every boreo fanfiction that exists too, and for a bummer of a book, it's a bummer of a fandom as well lol. This fic (although it also manages to be a bummer), puts Theo in such a funny predicament that it combats enough of the bummer-ness that I just loved it. And just like almost every other boreo fic, it's stupidly well written.

I believe that our fandom is big enough to hold every single caryler out there who wants to join in, regardless of their opinions, posts or feelings. That said, the answer to your question is after the cut.

I'm not on either "side" and never have been. I'm just another enthusiastic fan that loves Carol and Daryl. Since joining the Tumblr fandom just before the pandemic (I was a lurker for many years), I've been using my own critical thinking skills and knowledge of AMC's shenanigans to form my own opinions.

I'm confident in TBOC because I believe there are concrete reasons that support how I'm feeling, from Melissa's return, to filming spoilers and rumors, to Tribeca and SDCC. You're free to agree or disagree with my interpretation of these facts, and to feel positive or negative about it.

I also continue to believe that AMC/Gimple hijacked the original caryl spinoff to highlight the richonne spinoff because it follows similar decisions made before to give Rick more screen time at the expense of all the other TWD characters. I believe Melissa had no choice but to opt out of the original spin-off and negotiate new terms to ensure that Carol's (and therefore Caryl's) story was respected and told with integrity. To me, that's why there were things to be sorted out, as she said, and why she lengthily discussed Carol with Zabel and co. even before scripts for the France spinoff were written. She was involved since the beginning, yes, but she only signed on when she got what she wanted. There is no greater supporter of Carol than Melissa and we have known this for years. I'm glad she's back in her own terms. I believe it was a pretty difficult time for her, as she expressed it by basically refusing to promote 11C or the series finale, and by not saying anything about the whole mess on SM, while other cast members/friends such as Laurie Holden and Khary Payton spoke out in her behalf.

I believe AMC tried to make money off just Daryl because he's their original character and it backfired in their faces. They also made a mistake using Norman to save face as he should have been protected from the SM backlash. Norman has never been a reliable narrator and I always take every thing he says with a grain of salt, but I don't think he's intentionally malicious. I appreciate how much he loves Daryl and is considerate of his fans, even when I don't approve of his behavior. I just wish he would keep his frustrating mouth shut. I believe Norman had lots of input in S1 and that he initially thought he could pull it off without Melissa. But there's no Daryl without Carol and no Carol without Daryl. It's crystal clear how much Norman's happy for having Melissa by his side, and how much they love each other and are excited for S2. I'm glad they are reunited, both for them and for us, but I believe everything worked out in the end because Melissa didn't give up on getting what she wanted. I believe she had lots of inputs in S2 and is satisfied and happy with the final result.

So, that's how I believe things have gone these last two years. Again, feel free to agree or disagree with my interpretation of facts. None of us will ever know exactly what happened, but each of us can decide what to believe based on our own judgment of the facts. That's what I do and will continue to do.

In the end, for me, the important thing is that Melissa and Norman are happy and that Carol and Daryl get their hard-earned happy ending. It's everything I ever wanted and I'm going to enjoy it. I hope you enjoy it too.

Why I love it: I just loved the pace of the story. The way it reminded me of summer breezes and dirt sticking to the lotion on my skin. How everything felt new and exciting, but scary, too. Just loved writing this world.

Why I love it: I always wanted to write crime stories. SC was that story for me. It was a lot of fun to write these versions of Rick and Michonne. It was a lot of fun to talk to other shippers about this story. I started to make a lot of fandom friends because of this story. Then my mother passed away while I was writing SC and I sort of used it as a crutch to channel a lot of painful feelings. I was also able to lean on the fandom friends I made at that really shitty time. I know to read the story, you wouldn't think it, but it saved my life.

Why I love it: It was the first multi-chapter fic I wrote for Okoye x Attuma. I love this pairing. The enemies-to-lovers potential is there. The chemistry is there. Okoye getting to let loose is something very important to me. I had a lot of fun writing this story.

First time reading “Lemonade” by @cake-by-thepound I haven’t finished but I still have like 3 chapters to go and I just started reading it last night. Not even 24hrs (and yes, I have stuff to do but 🤷🏾‍♀️). I’ve never read so much angst, the feels, the descriptions, the pain, the desperation among people that truly love each other... aaarghg. If you are not into that don’t read it. You’ve been warned. But this fic evoked in me the feelings that made me fall for the show and Richonne in the first place. What I’ve Done in 2020

Rules: It’s time to love yourselves! 1: Grassfield in Normandy :

One of my many period story ( deleted many others 💀) but the first Richonne period piece I wrote and it was fun to see how quickly it came together, and I loved doing the different moodboard for each chapter, and I genuinely loved publishing each chapter because for once the readers weren't killing my will to update.

2. The incident behind an us :

This is my master piece when it comes to my prose. ( no one can judge of it because I didn't publish more than a chapter despite being a complete fic.) I loved writing every line and shaping the emotional conflict. I also love that it turn into an amazing fic for a few people which I shared it with during my on going hiatus.

3. High knee socks, cigarettes, and bruises. ( or the unpublished complete richonne highschool AU)

After being forced to leave king county to survive her mother sex scandal, Michonne finds herself in the hostile environment of the rich and gorgeous where Rick Grimes is king also known as highschool. Sounds like a recipe of chaos and it is when the king has his eyes on her. 

That is the jewel of my catalog as a fic writer. I think. I loved writing the highschool angst plus the series of first time falling in love. It was a liberating experience to write a fic that would probably not leave my docx.

4. Royal convenience ( the richonne Regency fic, which I finally wrote)

Broke British Lord Grimes forces his son to abandon his present relationship with Lori mc Tomineu to marry the daughter of a rich merchant. Problem: she is black in a society which despises abolitionists.  Michonne harthrows is the step-daughter of a French New Orleans man and she will do anything to help her family reach royal status even moving to the old continent and dealing with court and its intrigue.

Well period pieces are my favorite to write and so are marriage of convenience. This story is one, which I randomly read to correct the little historical accuracy. It is one of my many unpublished of 2020.

5. Historia Reiss drawing...

I haven't hold a pencil in years. So it was fun to see that I could still sketch, and since attack on titan is my new obsession. I had to start with my favorite character.

WIP Saturday - Caryl Fanfiction Rec

Dear fellow carylers, today's WIP is from the talented artist and author @alatariel-gildaen. A very interesting TWD X Borderlands crossover that deserves your attention!

Vault of the Savior is posted on 9Lives and AO3.

Summary: Legend has it that the Vault of the Savior will only open for four individuals in the universe at any one time. And Handsome Jack has tracked them all down.

Carol, Daryl, Rick, and Michonne have to navigate the treachery of Hyperion, of bandit clans, monsters, aliens, and of their own pasts to survive Pandora.

Rated: M Word count: 12.940 (04 chapters of?) Published: June 26, 2024 - WIP A lot of people dislike reading crossovers because they don't think they can keep it up or care about characters from different universes. If you are one of them, dear fellow Caryler, let me tell you that the success of a crossover depends entirely on the author knowing how to weave together two different stories, and not on your prior knowledge of them. Believe me, our author has an special talent to it (her TWD/X-Men crossover is incredible and reviewed here), so please give this WIP a try. You're in good hands. I don't play videogames and have no idea of what Borderlands is and I'm hooked! I love the different codenames, backgrounds and motivations behind our characters and I'm very intrigued by the villain's intentions on luring them all to Pandora. Can't wait to see Carol and Daryl's relationship evolve in such a different but equally harsh scenario as the ZA. Plus, this fic gives Rick and Michonne a big spotlight, so if you like Richonne, you're in for a double treat. So far our author is doing a great job writing them, which is difficult after so long writing for a single ship. Let's applaud her for that! I really hope you give this WIP a read, dear fellow carylers! And don't forget to leave a review/kudos. Feedback is love and love keeps our authors motivated to write. Share the love!
