No one asked for my thoughts on imaginarium theater but im giving them anyway.
I find it so weird how ppl have been begging for end game content outside of the abyss for 3 years now but when mhy releases a game mode that:
-incentives you to build more characters outside of ur main 2 teams for spiral abyss
- restricts u in a way that challenges u to use teams that are outside the meta
- makes it so you are forced to think strategically about who you use and when and work with what you are given
Instead of seeing it as a fun new challenge to work through they just complain that its? Too hard…?
Like if you just want a game mode to flex ur core teams the spiral abyss already exists…
#fuzzy rambles#anyway i had a lot of fun#like yea i had to retry some acts like 5 times lol but it was a fun challenge unlike spiral abyss#also the idea its impossible to clear if ur f2p. its not… im f2p and i got 8/9 stars… AND I COULD HAVE GOTTEN 9/9 BUT I THOUGHT-#Ur characters dont even have to be built that well. as long as they have somewhat decent artifacts and an ok weapon ull be fine#like it is a challenge (unless ur a whale lol) but its not impossible#plus u dont need stars for rewards u literally just have to finish it#which is way more niceys to u than that bastard spiral abyss floor 12#plus idk as u play you just. build characters. of the characters i used in this game mode only like 2 or 4 where characters i use regularly#its not that bad. just build ur 4 stars. it does not take that long and most of them use sets ull already have extra of#most of the challenge is just getting rotations of teams u never play down and learning enemy attack patterns#i got to pull out razor after 3 years of not using him (he use to be my main) and he did so well… my little baby 5ever#idk. i played l*mbus c*mpany dungeons so this was not as grueling#and i enjoyed l*mbus c*mpany dungeons… i really miss my ex..

hi who's your favorite saw character and why
Amanda Young undoubtedly mostly bc she’s very much blorbo bait to me. The pattern of guys I cling to consist of Retris Morage, Rose Red Ghost Quartet, c!******, and Raskolnikov from Crime & Punishment. All four have irrevocably changed me as a person, and all four are self-destructive, guilty, and protagonist-brained. Hence the Amanda.
I’m also quite fond of Lawrence. I’m definitely biased by the video games, which are not good and are in fact deeply evil and mean to him. But like. Pawshake on being bad with therapy and hierarchy-brained. The latter shows up in the original movie too. It’s just. The case file I complained about that called him a serial killer is also how people talk about me. Autism-NPD solidarity furever.

Rust Compiler Performance Triage
A great week, with 170 primary benchmark scenarios seeing improvement. Beta AU - Main story: Chapter 1, daily life
Note of the author: Please note that some events don’t go exactly like the main game. For example, no one is a detective, and the “main duo” isn’t a thing, so events will occur differently.
Also, there is a possibility I will write entirely scenes that I consider important or that I cannot just sum up. Not gonna spoil anything but that will be the case of about… Well the entire 5th and 6th trial, and some other scenes.
Also yeah, when I talked about the “one week between chapters” I meant one week before revealing another death.

Monokuma gave them the monopads and the rest of the rules.
After the “entrance ceremony” none of them knew what to do.
Korekiyo suggested they explored the academy in groups to find maybe a hint about an escape or anything, and communicate any information they found with the others.
Tenko interrupts him, saying she found a manhole behind the building, but wasn’t sure if it led somewhere, since she wasn’t able to take it off.
She guides them there, but Ryoma and Tsumugi, don’t think this will lead anywhere.
Kaede suggests K1-B0 to try to take it off, since he is a robot.
K1-B0, despite having a greater strength than most, can barely make it move.
Gonta suggests he tries, and does it with ease. Tenko compliments his strength, that some others like Kokichi And Miu find a bit scary.
They look around the underground passage, but Korekiyo and Tsumugi suggest that it might be a trap, since Monokuma didn’t try to stop them.
Angie and Himiko say that there is still a chance, and even though it might be a trap, a team full of ultimates can surpass it.
They all try to get through the passage, but it’s a failure.
The positive ones try to comfort the injured, but some already gave up.
Monokuma and the monokubs appear saying they knew they would find the passage.
Kaito comments on their sadistic nature to leave a small glimmer of fake hope to them.
Tsumugi adds that they wouldn’t have let them go if it was really an escape.
They retry once again, just to see what even is at the end of the tunnel.
After another failure, Korekiyo suggests they stop for now, as they’re all unable to continue, and this will lead to nowhere if they’re in this state.
Himiko argues saying they can’t just leave this here, that they have to know what’s at the end.
Ryoma suggests they return once they’re fully prepared.
They were interrupted by the night time announcement.
Shuichi suggests they go to sleep and decide what to do the next day, since they’re all exhausted.
They all agree and most of them go to sleep.
Some stay outside for a while, Himiko looking at the stars, Kaede writing in a notebook, and Miu just taking a walk.
The next day, everyone reunited in the dining hall. Thankfully no one was killed.
They discussed what they should do, some of them already pleading not to return to the underground passage.
K1-B0 suggests they look around the academy to find perhaps something to help them.
Rantaro agrees, since it’s the only solution they have.
Korekiyo suggests they do it in groups.
The groups were organized by four. Group A was Shuichi, Rantaro, Maki and Kaede; group B was Kokichi, Himiko, Angie and K1-B0; group C was Miu, Kaito, Ryoma and Kirumi; and group D was Tenko, Gonta, Korekiyo and Tsumugi.
Monokuma pops out of nowhere and introduces the first blood perk, that the first person to kill another will be free to go without any consequences.
Himiko stepped in, saying that no one would try to kill like this. Tenko does as well, saying she is going to fight him.
The monokubs with an exisal come in, ready to at least threaten Tenko when Monokuma gets crushed by it.
They panic, saying that they’re the new headmasters now, and will still corner them like rats if they even tried to do anything against the rules.
They leave the rest of the students to themselves.
Kirumi suggests now is the perfect time to explore the academy, and find perhaps another way to escape.
The groups separate.
Group A explored the first floors of the main building. Shuichi was somehow leading the group. Kaede insisted on exploring the library if they found anything useful, to which Maki decided to stick with her and let the other two explore other places. Rantaro noticed the food in the kitchen looked like it was fresh and restored only recently.
Group B had to split up after Kokichi said he didn’t feel good. Himiko tried to stick with him but got rejected after he locked himself in his room. Angie and K1-B0 continued their researches outside on their own after getting Himiko back.
Group C explored buildings other than the main building. Miu noticed what looked like a casino behind one of the walls, Ryoma saying Monokuma probably didn’t want them to be here yet, which was another reason to try to go there. Kirumi suggests they should at least tell the others before doing anything stupid. Kaito agrees.
Group D explored the opened floors as well. None of the doors were unlocked, which disappointed them. Tsumugi suggested that if this was indeed a killing game, those doors would probably open once a murder occurs. Korekiyo, as much as he didn’t want it to be right, agreed. Tenko and Gonta tried to cheer them up to say they weren’t going to die so easily.
After that they all reunited and told the others about what they found. Unfortunately none of the things they found were really interesting.
The next day, after chatting for a bit, Monokuma suddenly showed up and presented another motive: The time limit. If two days from this day, at nighttime, no one had died, everyone would die.
Of course, no one was accepting this, but trust was already a foreign notion, so they all went their ways, except for Shuichi, Rantaro, Tenko, Gonta, Kirumi and K1-B0, who stayed in the dining hall to think about a plan.
After thinking about the possibilities, they eventually thought it would be better to try to search through the academy once again to find something better to do.
Some time later, Shuichi found Kokichi and Himiko talking to K1-B0. Mostly Himiko, since Kokichi kept his distance with the other two. After joining in, Himiko explained to Shuichi that perhaps they could consider calling “K1-B0” “Keebo” instead, since it was easier to pronounce and it felt more human than two letters and numbers. The robot seemed indifferent, but didn’t mind being called Keebo. Himiko seemed satisfied and was ready to tell everyone, grabbing Kokichi by the hand and running through the hallways, even though judging by Kokichi’s reaction, he wasn’t comfortable being dragged around like that.
He also came across Maki, who seemed glad somehow. When asked, she responded that her lab opened, and that she would perhaps find something to do to distract her from the fact that they could die in a few days.
Shuichi also realized his lab was opened. After looking around for a few minutes, he turned back to see that Ryoma and Rantaro entered as well, glancing at what the violinist’s lab with admiration. Ryoma commented how Monokuma specifically opened the labs for the people who probably wouldn’t be able to fight back against him.
When afternoon came, Tenko announced to anyone she could find that she and Gonta would do a martial art match, to test the other’s strength, and if they wanted to see it, they would be welcome, since Tenko’s lab opened that day.
A few people joined Tenko and Gonta to watch their match: Himiko (who dragged Kokichi there), Kirumi, who said that a request for her presence shall be fulfilled, Ryoma, Rantaro and Shuichi.
Kirumi commented on how the match opposed brute strength and technique, and understood why Tenko wanted to do this match. Rantaro seemed to agree, but was prepared just in case someone was injured. He didn’t have access to great resources, but he would do his best.
The match ended with Tenko winning, which was not really surprising, but their match was a close call. The two shook hands as a sign of respect. Tenko advised Gonta on how he could improve his technique, because someone could easily defeat him if the opponent has a weapon on them and know the basics in fighting.
The evening, Shuichi noticed on his notepad Rantaro and Ryoma in the warehouse. He felt bad just standing there without doing anything, so he decided to check on them and see if he could try to do something. When he arrived, he saw the two with different items scattered around, some boxes emptied of their content.
The two said they would try to see if they had any material for Ryoma to build something to use against Monokuma. Of course he didn’t have the necessary tools, but it would be better than nothing. Shuichi helped with their research.
Nighttime came and they all decided to end here, Ryoma bringing the most useful items to his room to try to at least think about something. They agreed not to talk to anyone about this.
The next day, Shuichi decided to search his own lab through and through, to help Ryoma and Rantaro in their mission to collect things to fight Monokuma. Unfortunately his lab didn’t have much.
He then decides to check the library to perhaps find something useful. Some time later Angie showed up with the same intention as Shuichi, from what she was saying.
After searching through the books, Angie noticed that it was weird that all the shelves had books on it except one, and perhaps something was there. Shuichi brushed it off but Angie insisted, saying that it was very strange to leave only one like this when there a lot of books scattered around on the floor and yet this bookshelf didn’t have anything on it.
They decided to inspect it, and after Angie brushed some of the books, the bookshelf moved to reveal the door. With its distinct pattern, they came with the conclusion that Monokuma used that door to do something in a secret room, and it was afraid protecting it with exisals wasn’t enough.
They decided to tell the rest of the group at lunchtime since they didn’t have anything to lose.
The afternoon was spent by most of of them as finding ways to go through the door, but no one was able to do anything.
Around the evening the music started playing, making everyone panic.

They were all in different groups, but Shuichi was with Kaito, Miu, Rantaro and Ryoma at the time.

1) Usually I would still complain about G/B pairing, but I figured it's kinda annoying so I'll stop now :) Maybe I should write the chapters myself if I'm that desperate, haha. But in all honestly, thanks for including R/B. Almost all of the characters in recent chapters were from Gens 5-7, so this really brought me back to when I was a kid reading SE, as well as the early days of DE (though I wasn't a fan of the dark G/B chapters). I really hope you bring back G/S, R/S and D/P... because I enjoy those pairings more and also just for old time's sake :)
Annoying? Not really. But it’s pointless to complain about it, so... why not save the effort, right? DE does focus a lot on the junior side, since my interest in the seniors have faded. Though by “seniors”, I only mean the Johto and Hoenn pairings. Red & Blue is still “new”...ish (newer than Black & White for me, given when the pairing shift happened), so that’ll happen a lot more.
Not a fan of the darker Green & Blue chapters, huh? Well... given their personalities, it was kind of inevitable. But with Red & Blue, it’s now impossible to have a dark chapter. So only fluff!
I assume you mean G/C and not the other one. Now, Gold & Crystal is unlikely to make it into DE as a primarily focused chapter. It might appear in one of those multi-pairing chapters. Same deal for Ruby & Sapphire. Diamond & Platinum is going to be appearing a lot. So no need to worry!

Meteor Chain involves partners teaming up to launch attack after attack, following up each other's attacks and timing it so the opponent has no time to counter.(3) Using Meteor Chains is an effective way to get the GENKI Gauge to fill up quickly.(4) Synchro Rush is rushing the opponent at the same time, resulting in simultaneous hits. Revive Soul is reviving a fallen partner, giving them energy to get back in the battle.(3) Also, thanks to Energy Share, teammates can share ki with each others.(4) Villains can team up with Heroes in the game, but they do not show appreciation when given ki or extra energy to heal.
There are four different battle types for playable characters:
Melee Type: skilled at close combat, can combo with melee attacks. Attack Type moves are Kaio-ken Attack, Dance of the Sword, Recoome Kick.
Ki Blast Type: skilled at long range battle, can make consecutive attacks using the Genki Gauge. Ki Blast Type moves are Consecutive Energy Blast, Death Beam, Spirit Ball.
Support Type: powers such as health regeneration and support abilities. Support Type moves are Health regain blast, Fighting Pose.
Interfere Type: adept at abilities that interfere with the enemy's movements. Interference Type moves are Solar Flare, Chocolate Beam, Drain Energy.
There is a unique feature system that allows players to modify (edit) characters using ability/or customization cards. By collecting and equipping cards, characters that might not be suited to battle can be boosted to make them more capable, alternatively they can be given abilities that make their natural strengths more pronounced.(5)

Game modes include Single Missions, Multi Missions, and Team Battles.
Single Mission
In this mode, it is possible to fight as either the Z Fighters or their antagonists. 60 missions are featured, ordered in Saiyan Saga (Z Fighters route and Saiyan route), Frieza Saga (Z Fighters route and Planet Trade Organization route), Cell Saga (Z Fighters route and Androids route), Majin Buu Saga (Z Fighters route and Majin Buu route), Another Age, Extra Age, and Special Age. The original manga/anime story is modified to include team battles, such as the fight with Frieza which, instead of Goku being the only character to face the tyrant, also includes Piccolo, Gohan, and Krillin for the final battle on Namek. Also included is a special history which is based on the Saiyans if something involving them had happened differently. Another scenario made for the game has a battle against all of Goku's family, including Bardock and Goten.
Co-op Battle
This mode allows four players to join online to complete missions in cooperation. It allows players who have difficulty to complete missions alone to find means to complete them online.

This mode includes Shin Battle Mode and Battle Royal. Shin Battle Mode allows up to 4 players to join in order to complete missions in a competition, and Battle Royal allows the combatants to fight against each other not organized in teams. The game has four different battle modes- normal battle, score battle, Battle Royal, and Dragon Ball Grab.
Normal Battle
This is a standard 4-on-4 battle. Each team is allotted the ability to 'Retry' a certain number of times after members are defeated. The first team who drops to 0 in the 'Retry' count loses the game.
Bandai Namco Games
Score Battle
This is a 4-on-4 battle. To reach the highest score possible, each team has to knockout as many people as possible from the other team in a certain amount of time.
Battle Royal
This is a free-for-all, where every man is for himself. Each player will have to knockout the other and reach the highest score possible. All 8 players will battle for the same and unique crown.
Dragon Ball Grab
2 teams of 4 players will fight for the 7 Dragon Balls dispersed in the field. The first team who collects all of the Dragon Balls wins the game. If neither team manages to do that in the allotted time, the one having the highest number wins.
This mode only allows Internet or ad-hoc connection.

Character customization
Battle of Z brings back the feature to edit a character to make them the strongest character. It is shown that cards and card slots are the method for editing characters. Battle of Z introduces the feature to edit the color pattern of character's costume.

IGN gave an overall score of 6.6/10, criticising the limited combat and the unbalanced teams in Battle Mode, while praising the visuals and the Co-op Mode. GameSpot gave this game a 4/10.

Mastering Async Await in Node.js
In this article, you will learn how you can simplify your callback or Promise based Node.js application with async functions (async/await).
Whether you’ve looked at async/await and promises in javascript before, but haven’t quite mastered them yet, or just need a refresher, this article aims to help you.
A note from the authors:

It's full of real-life use cases, code examples, and deep-diving explanations on how to get the most out of async/await. Since it's a re-release, we fully updated it with new code examples, as there are a lot of new Node.js features since the original release which you can take advantage of.
What are async functions in Node?
Async functions are available natively in Node and are denoted by the async keyword in their declaration. They always return a promise, even if you don’t explicitly write them to do so. Also, the await keyword is only available inside async functions at the moment - it cannot be used in the global scope.
In an async function, you can await any Promise or catch its rejection cause.
So if you had some logic implemented with promises:

You can make it look like synchronous code using async/await:

Currently in Node you get a warning about unhandled promise rejections, so you don’t necessarily need to bother with creating a listener. However, it is recommended to crash your app in this case as when you don’t handle an error, your app is in an unknown state. This can be done either by using the --unhandled-rejections=strict CLI flag, or by implementing something like this:
process.on('unhandledRejection', (err) => { console.error(err); process.exit(1); })
Automatic process exit will be added in a future Node release - preparing your code ahead of time for this is not a lot of effort, but will mean that you don’t have to worry about it when you next wish to update versions.
Patterns with async functions
There are quite a couple of use cases when the ability to handle asynchronous operations as if they were synchronous comes very handy, as solving them with Promises or callbacks requires the use of complex patterns.
Since [email protected], there is support for async iterators and the related for-await-of loop. These come in handy when the actual values we iterate over, and the end state of the iteration, are not known by the time the iterator method returns - mostly when working with streams. Aside from streams, there are not a lot of constructs that have the async iterator implemented natively, so we’ll cover them in another post.
Retry with exponential backoff
Implementing retry logic was pretty clumsy with Promises:

This would get the job done, but we can rewrite it with async/await and make it a lot more simple.

A lot more pleasing to the eye isn't it?
Intermediate values
Not as hideous as the previous example, but if you have a case where 3 asynchronous functions depend on each other the following way, then you have to choose from several ugly solutions.
functionA returns a Promise, then functionB needs that value and functionC needs the resolved value of both functionA's and functionB's Promise.
Solution 1: The .then Christmas tree
function executeAsyncTask () { return functionA() .then((valueA) => { return functionB(valueA) .then((valueB) => { return functionC(valueA, valueB) }) }) }
With this solution, we get valueA from the surrounding closure of the 3rd then and valueB as the value the previous Promise resolves to. We cannot flatten out the Christmas tree as we would lose the closure and valueA would be unavailable for functionC.
Solution 2: Moving to a higher scope
function executeAsyncTask () { let valueA return functionA() .then((v) => { valueA = v return functionB(valueA) }) .then((valueB) => { return functionC(valueA, valueB) }) }
In the Christmas tree, we used a higher scope to make valueA available as well. This case works similarly, but now we created the variable valueA outside the scope of the .then-s, so we can assign the value of the first resolved Promise to it.
This one definitely works, flattens the .then chain and is semantically correct. However, it also opens up ways for new bugs in case the variable name valueA is used elsewhere in the function. We also need to use two names — valueA and v — for the same value.

Solution 3: The unnecessary array
function executeAsyncTask () { return functionA() .then(valueA => { return Promise.all([valueA, functionB(valueA)]) }) .then(([valueA, valueB]) => { return functionC(valueA, valueB) }) }
There is no other reason for valueA to be passed on in an array together with the Promise functionB then to be able to flatten the tree. They might be of completely different types, so there is a high probability of them not belonging to an array at all.
Solution 4: Write a helper function
const converge = (...promises) => (...args) => { let [head, ...tail] = promises if (tail.length) { return head(...args) .then((value) => converge(...tail)(...args.concat([value]))) } else { return head(...args) } } functionA(2) .then((valueA) => converge(functionB, functionC)(valueA))
You can, of course, write a helper function to hide away the context juggling, but it is quite difficult to read, and may not be straightforward to understand for those who are not well versed in functional magic.
By using async/await our problems are magically gone:

Multiple parallel requests with async/await
This is similar to the previous one. In case you want to execute several asynchronous tasks at once and then use their values at different places, you can do it easily with async/await:

As we've seen in the previous example, we would either need to move these values into a higher scope or create a non-semantic array to pass these values on.
Array iteration methods
You can use map, filter and reduce with async functions, although they behave pretty unintuitively. Try guessing what the following scripts will print to the console:

Solutions:

If you log the returned values of the iteratee with map you will see the array we expect: [ 2, 4, 6, 8 ]. The only problem is that each value is wrapped in a Promise by the AsyncFunction.
So if you want to get your values, you'll need to unwrap them by passing the returned array to a Promise.all:
main() .then(v => Promise.all(v)) .then(v => console.log(v)) .catch(err => console.error(err));
Originally, you would first wait for all your promises to resolve and then map over the values:
function main () { return Promise.all([1,2,3,4].map((value) => asyncThing(value))); } main() .then(values => values.map((value) => value * 2)) .then(v => console.log(v)) .catch(err => console.error(err));
This seems a bit more simple, doesn’t it?
The async/await version can still be useful if you have some long running synchronous logic in your iteratee and another long-running async task.
This way you can start calculating as soon as you have the first value - you don't have to wait for all the Promises to be resolved to run your computations. Even though the results will still be wrapped in Promises, those are resolved a lot faster then if you did it the sequential way.
What about filter? Something is clearly wrong...
Well, you guessed it: even though the returned values are [ false, true, false, true ], they will be wrapped in promises, which are truthy, so you'll get back all the values from the original array. Unfortunately, all you can do to fix this is to resolve all the values and then filter them.
Reducing is pretty straightforward. Bear in mind though that you need to wrap the initial value into Promise.resolve, as the returned accumulator will be wrapped as well and has to be await-ed.
.. As it is pretty clearly intended to be used for imperative code styles.
To make your .then chains more "pure" looking, you can use Ramda's pipeP and composeP functions.
Rewriting callback-based Node.js applications
Async functions return a Promise by default, so you can rewrite any callback based function to use Promises, then await their resolution. You can use the util.promisify function in Node.js to turn callback-based functions to return a Promise-based ones.
Rewriting Promise-based applications
Simple .then chains can be upgraded in a pretty straightforward way, so you can move to using async/await right away.

Rewriting Node.js apps with async/await
If you liked the good old concepts of if-else conditionals and for/while loops,
if you believe that a try-catch block is the way errors are meant to be handled,
you will have a great time rewriting your services using async/await.
As we have seen, it can make several patterns a lot easier to code and read, so it is definitely more suitable in several cases than Promise.then() chains. However, if you are caught up in the functional programming craze of the past years, you might wanna pass on this language feature.

Choosing which parallel stages to run based on conditions or parameters previously set

Junit stupidity in the post section
post { always { script { junit "my_app/coverage/junit/*.xml" } } }
Error stating that the time the test was run was older than some current time. Apparently if its more than something like 4 seconds, you'll get this error.
post { always { script { sh "sudo touch ${WORKSPACE}/my_app/coverage/junit/*.xml" junit "${WORKSPACE}/my_app/coverage/junit/*.xml" } } }
Touch the damn file right before. Not a solution, a bandaid, like everything about jenkins, one giant ball of bandaids. However this will also error because of the ${WORKSPACE} variable in the junit command. I dont know why.

Disabling concurrent builds on a multistage pipeline doesn't work if you use agents in the stages

Results in:

Use the global agent.
