WIP Wednesday

I'm not gonna change things up this time teehee so I tag @totally-not-deacon and @wanders-in-stars

Up in the mountains, snow was a near constant part of life. You learned that the hard way when you had to dig your way out of the inn after two days of it, leaving nearly three feet in its wake for you to trudge through.

"I don't understand why we have to make our way up the mountain in this kind of condition. Surely the Greybeards can wait until after thaw...." Nebarra grumbled, and for once Xelzaz agreed with him.

"Perhaps it would be best for us to wait until some of this has melted...." The argonian replied.

Kaidan snorted, pushing past them. "That's not how Skyrim works. At this altitude the snow won't melt ‘til summer. So either we head out now and take our chances, or we wait several months."

Nebarra balked, Lucien letting out an uncomfortable little laugh.

"And something tells me the Greybeards wouldn't appreciate their summons taking that long. We've already dallied several days," Kaidan continued. "But it's not my place to say what we do here." He turned to look at you, nearly waist deep in snow. "Dragonborn, what say you?"

You looked among your friends, noting the unease in their eyes. "I... I will go. Anyone who wants to stay at the inn for now, I think I have spare coin enough left for a week or so. I won't judge anyone for not accompanying me."

"What, and leave you alone to fend off gods know what on that mountain? Are you serious?" Kaidan scoffed. "No, Dragonborn, I'm afraid you're not rid of me that easily."

"Just... don't lead me to an early grave." Nebarra sighed as he stood by your side.

"As nice as curling up near a warm fire sounds, a burden is made lighter by many hands." Inigo placed his hand on your shoulder.

"Yeah! I am coming too! I want to see the Graybeards." Khash grinned.

Both Lucien and Lucifer agreed as well, and you almost wanted to cry, but that sounded ridiculous and you didn't want Nebarra mocking you all the way up the mountain. "I'm glad you're all here." You gave them all the biggest smile you could, feeling the cold already beginning to dry out your lips.

Kaidan made plowing through the snow seem like easy work, but even just following in his footsteps was an arduous task. And the higher you got, the thinner the air became... forcing you all to make frequent stops. Taking shelter under an overhang, you all carved your way into a relatively cozy spot. The sun was starting to get low, and you weren't sure how much farther you had to go to get the High Hrothgar... the last thing you needed was to lose someone over the edge from an easily avoidable stumble. So, you decided to make a crude shelter, piling up the snow you’d dug out to give you some semblance of a wall as you all huddled together around the small fire you’d made.

It was during second watch that you'd heard it; The muffled shuffling of heavy feet outside.

Johnny x Tae: Parents pt9

Tae woke up hopeful. Hopeful this thing with her dad would work. She hoped he got better.

"Ma, are we doing anything today?" Tae asked her mom.

"No why?"

"I was wondering if I could go out today. Walk around...grab food you know" Tae asked

"Sure, just finish your breakfast, and then you can go. Just no funny buissnes with any boys."

"MOMMA" Tae yelled shocked

Tae finished up her food, and then walked out of the house to the lot where Johnny was. She sat on a near by bench, waiting for him to wake up. He soon woke up. He stood up quickly pulling out his blade, only to realize it was just his girl.

"Oh hey! Sorry 'bout that" he says walking over to Tae.

"It's ok Johnnycakes" Tae said with a chuckle

"Mmmm" Johnny hummed in response

"C'mon. You wanna go to Darry's" Tae asks

"Sure!" he said

"A-are you sure? I mean, I'm just realizing we've been there alot" Tae asked

"Yes baby, I'm sure" Johnny said with a smirk

"B-baby? You just called me baby!" Tae said excitedly

"Yep. Your my baby" Johnny said holding his hand out. The couple walked to Darrys house hand in hand. When they got there, they sat down on the couch together. Johnny wrapped an arm around Taes shoulders. He used his other hand to hold her face. He leaned in and started to kiss the pretty girl. His tounge licked her lips, asking for entrance. Tae allowed, and that went on for about half a minute...until Dallas walked into the house.

"WOAH! WOAH WOAH WOAH! I DIDNT HAVE TO SEE THAT" he yells covering his eyes. Johnny and Tae go red.

"See what? Is everything ok?" Darry asks as he walks into the living room.

"THEY WERE MAKING OUT DARRY! I COULD HAVE LIVED ALL MY LIFE WITHOUT SEEING THAT" Dally yelled

"Yea yea big deal, get over it" Darry said, completely disregarding the whole thing and walking away

"Did you have to yell Dallas? You know how I feel about yelling" Johnny asked

"Sorry bud" Dallas said walking to the kitchen.

Johhny rewrapped his arm around Tae's shoulders.

"You ok?" Johnny asks

"Yea...it just, I don't like it when Dally makes a big deal out of us being together. It makes me uncomfortable. A-and I hate yelling because of what goes on at home" Tae replied

"I know darling. I hate yelling too. Do you want me to talk to him? About making a big deal?" Johnny asked, as his hand rubbed up and down Tae's arm soothingly.

"I-if you really wanna, you can talk to him. But I'm just scared of him getting mad and continuing to make a big deal" Tae expressed

"Oh he won't, not under my watch" Johnny said kissing the girls cheek.

"Mmhhmm" Tae hummed in response

"I liked it....th-the kissing." Tae said

"You did?" Johnny said with a small smirk. It kinda intimidated Tae...only a little.

"Y-yea. It felt good" Tae said looking down at her legs.

Johnny lifted up her chin using his finger, and continued kissing her.

"Mmhhhmmm" Tae said before pulling away.

"Maybe later k? Don't want Dallas making a big deal again" Tae said laughing lightly. Johnny loved her laughs, and giggles.

"Ok ok" Johnny responded, pecking her lips.

"But I just love it so much" Johnny said, kissing Tae's cheek,and then her other one, then her forehead, then her nose, and then he lifted up one of her hands and kissed it. As Johnny peppered her with kisses she giggled happily.

"I love hearing your giggles and laughs....they're so cute Tae Tae" Johnny said as Tae rested her head on his shoulder. She looked up at his pretty eyes

"So cute" he whispers, kissing her nose again. In response, she scrunched up her nose. Just then, Dallas walked in with a cup of water.

"Why'd it take you so long just to get water?" Johnny asked

"I just wanted you two to have time alone if I'm being honest" he says sitting in the recliner, turning the TV on.

"O-oh...th-thanks I guess" Johnny said.

The couple cuddled up together, and Tae wound up falling asleep on Johnny.

"Sodapop ....sodapop...ssooddaaa" Johnny whisper yelled

"Yea?" Soda asked walking into the room

"Sh-she fell asleep. Wh-what do I do? Sit here or pick her up and bring her to bed?" Johnny asked

"Just sit as still as possible k? It's your best bet"

"Ok" Johnny replied

"Haha, imagine not being able to move" Dally said a little loud

"Be. Quiet. Don't you dare wake her up!" Johnny whisper yelled.

"Ohh...look at you being all defensive. I like it" Dallas said getting up to grab some food for himself and Johnny. He walked back over with some food.

"Thank you Dallas" Johnny said, taking a bite

"Also, stop making jokes, and making big deals about my relationship. Tae and I don't like it. And it makes Tae Tae uncomfortable" Johnny commanded Dallas

"Sorry....wont happen again Mr.Cade"

"Good to hear Mr.Winston"

"Uuuurrrrgggg" Tae groaned out tiredly

"Quiet down Dally" Johnny said, running his fingers through Tae's hair, and kissing her head.

Darry

Spending nights at the Curtis was almost second nature to you. The couch had been vacant for the night. The rest of the gang must have found somewhere else to sleep. Normally sleeping at the Curtis house gave you a sense of comfort but not tonight. Throughout the silence of the house your mind kept racing until you finally feel asleep. Though it didn't last long, waking shortly after due to another nightmare. Deciding after a long debate with yourself to not sleep on the couch. You got up to see Darry's room lamp still on. Walking to Darry's room he saw you rather quickly hearing your steps in the quiet house. "What are you doing up?" He asked you putting whatever he was doing down. "Can I sleep here, I had a nightmare." You told him. Darry knew how nightmares could torture one's sleep, Ponyboy still had them from time to time. "Come on kid." He said patting his next to him on his bed. Going to follow quickly, laying next to him. Immediately feeling more tired than you did on the couch. Turning to light out darry had you close to him. Seeing you already asleep, "Sleep good."

Johnny

When nights were restless and you tossed and turned in the middle of the night a walk always made it better. Sometimes you saw people you knew sometimes it was too late for anyone to be out. But tonight was a night where nightmares wouldn't leave you alone and your thoughts were overpowering your rationality. Knowing you shouldn't walk alone in the day let alone night you went anyway. No particular destination just going where ever your feet would carry you. They just so happen to take you to the lot where Johnny next to always was. He was there laying my tree smoking a cancer stick as Dally called them. He saw you walking up, Johnny had helped you with nightmares before even when you both stayed at the Curtis house on some nights. "More nightmares that won't leave you alone." He called out. "Yeah how'd you guess." You replied quickly, taking a seat next to him. "Lucky guess." He said. Something about Johnny made you two quick friends and close ones at that. He wrapped an arm around to give you body heat but it didn't matter. You were already sleeping. "Good night to you too."

Ponyboy

Pony never slept alone. His own nightmares never allowed it. So the night Soda stayed over Steve's was the night he invited you to stay over. But even at the Curtis house your own nightmares didn't leave you. Waking up in a gasp for air you almost fell off the couch. You calmed yourself down, well enough so that you could breathe again. Getting up deciding that was enough sleeping on the couch for you, you headed to Pony's room. Being quiet so that you didn't wake up darry, you saw Pony awake in his room. "Glen?" He said but it sounded more like a question. "Nightmares, Can I sleep with you?" You said. "Yeah of course, Nightmares for me too." He said. You got in the bed next to him. "I thought you got over them?" You asked. Though sleep was coming quicker than you would have hoped. "Yeah me too, when I sleep alone is when they're the worst." He explained. "Well good I'm here than." You said cockily and quite sleepily. "Oh shut up." He said laughing and stifling a yawn. Expecting a retort back he looked down at you. You were already dead asleep. "What a weirdo."

Sodapop + Steve

Most of the gang was over tonight. Darry already asleep on his room, Pony gave up his part of the room for Steve. Johnny Pony and I were left in the living room. Pony had Darry's recliner and me and Johnny shared the couch. I feel asleep sitting up and woke up almost falling off the couch. "Shit." You mumbled. Knowing your nightmares wouldn't allow you s peaceful sleep alone. Ponyboy was still asleep and so was Johnny, you would feel bad for waking them so you got up and saw Steve in the kitchen. "What are you doing up?" You asked, apparently you scared the living shit out of him cause he jumped like a kid. "What the hell is wrong with you. Just sneaking up on people like that." He said. Mumbling curses your way. "Neither me or Soda could sleep so I decided to get up snacks. Why are you up?" "I had a nightmare." You explained. "Is that shit contagious. First Ponyboy now you. Am I gonna catch that?" "No you idiot nightmares are not contagious." "Yeah if I get I'm gonna kick your ass." He said getting a bag of chips from the cabinet. "Oh come on, don't want you to wake up Johnny and Pony." Quietly following Steve to the room soda was barely keeping his eyes open. "Nightmares again?" He asked me. "Yeah how'd you guess." "That's the only time you talk to Steve." He laughed, then yawned. Getting in the bed next to Soda. Steve put the chips on the desk by the bed and got in too. Funny how quickly you went to sleep. "I better not get nightmares from you motherfucker."
