so about allen's hair colour...
Tumblr media
(^ volume 25 talk corner)
(core) WE FINALLY FOUND IT, dgm 252 spoilers under the cut
so basically with the confirmation that past!lavi's hair is white and that he may or may not have become merged with allen, it's worth bearing in mind the ol white hair with trauma thing for allen.
it wasn't trauma. allen fully activated crown clown when he fought and destroyed akuma!mana and his hair turned the same colour as past!lavi because past!lavi is a part of crown clown.
just like timothy and tsukikami, allen's hair immediately turned white because of his innocence, and he cannot dye it another colour because it's supernatural.
the english translation isn't the best, it makes it sound vague. in the original japanese:
Tumblr media
すぐに means immediately / instantly, so what it really means is allen tried to dye his hair and it immediately went back to white, not that it eventually went back to that colour. he gave up because as soon as he dyed his hair it went back to white, there was no point.
this proves that past!lavi and allen merged because of apocryphos and that past!lavi in some way is connected or tied to allen's innocence.
the only thing to have to navigate is that technically allen activates crown clown earlier than mana's death when apo messes with him at the circus, but maybe because it was a forced activation it didn't count / wasn't a full activation of his innocence?
timothy was possessing people using his innocence but didn't gain blue hair until he properly invoked for the first time, so i reckon it's the same for allen. apo did not cause a successful invocation, just a temporary one.
we'll find out next chapter (probably) but yeah, we immediately remembered this lil talk corner thing because it makes it pretty clear allen's hair is white because of past!lavi / his innocence specifically.
also confirms that lucia thinks past!lavi is involved with allen somehow because of his hair colour, which makes sense. it's not just generally white, it's exactly the same as past!lavi's hair colour.
also interesting that lucia knows what past!lavi's hair looks like, specifically how it glimmers in the light. like how old is she?! she has a child form as well so it's like..... were you around when past!lavi was around 35+ years ago lucia............
but yeah that's it, tl;dr allen has white hair and trauma but trauma did not turn his hair white.

“I like watching him get tangled up in his own web of self-pity, raising a superiority complex AND an inferiority complex at the same time.”
THAT NIGGA HAS BPD!!,! 🫵
ohSHIT... I didn't REALIZE
Oh noooo is that why I like him so much? Did I read BPD into Nightheart and attach myself like a limpet?? Oh god it makes sense now OTL
I was even planning for him to eventually find out he has a LOT in common with Squilf who I already decided has BPD in BB because I love her so much, is that what I was picking up on subconsciously?
AND BRAMBLESTAR IS A MUTUAL ABUSER OUGHHH... she probably recognizes him using the same tactics on Nightheart that used to work on her! Oh god oh fuck!
LISTEN; I don't rewrite arcs until they're done, so, don't take any of this as canon to BB yet, but... maybe a change I should really anticipate is changing HOW Bramblestar steps down.
I think it would work well with the themes of BB for it to not be his choice, but a... "gentle rebellion." Squirrelflight, Sparkpelt, all of the Firekin, Twigbranch, everyone who has been harmed by Bramblestar confronting him as a group and telling him what's going to happen next.
"You're going to step down. You won't be talking to Nightheart anymore. Enough is enough, Bramblestar."
"So this is how it ends?? This is how you treat me? ...this is what you've felt, all along? I've given EVERYTHING to this Clan, since--"
Just starts ranting, his voice rising in volume, lurches up out of his nest and tries to tower over everyone to make them cower.
They don't budge.
Sparkpelt is eye-level with him, just as big as her father. When he catches her gaze, he doesn't see his daughter's eyes. He sees Jessy, just before she left.
And she sees a child throwing a tantrum.
"Enough is enough."
He does not take the lesson she meant from this. He just hears his traitor of a deputy, his witch of an ex-mate, with her words in his daughter's mouth. He doesn't regret the real reasons; he regrets allowing Squirrelflight to mentor his kit.
And he claps that anger onto Squilf; "StarClan will be the judge of you."
A year ago, she would have been terrified of that. But God is hard to fear when you've been plucked from the heavens and seen his angels die.
"Ok. Anyway,"
then she delves into some boring legal stuff like how he won't sleep with the other elders, the logistics of making this official, going to the Moonpool with a witness, etc etc etc

"他像是想涉过时光之海,抵达岁月的尽头去拥抱那个孤独的身影。想要涉过血水汪洋,去挽回那个再也不回头的旧人。"
"It was as if he wanted to cross the sea of time and reach the end of days to embrace that lonely figure; to wade across an ocean of blood and bring back his past friend on the journey of no return."

So, here is the rough translation for the Japanese Light Novel RWBY the session. I created the document using the archive site that is beneath the Google Doc itself That allowed me to rip all the Japanese text and run it through Google Translate. When I say it's a rough translation, I do mean rough. The translator seems to have a hard time understanding certain names, pronouns, and words containing L or R. I do not have the time, will, or energy to fix those translation errors because there's just too many.
For anyone who has an Android device, there is an app called Evie. You can put PDFs and documents and other format files into this and it will basically turn it into an audio book for you and it read it for you. You could just play it in the background as you do other stuff. Sadly, if you have an Apple device, I think you're out a lot because it just doesn't work for those.

Finding out the official title for Moriarty’s Shinjuku finale boss battle is “The Proposition (math/logic)” as in a mathematical proposition. A statement that is either true or false, and can be proved.
Because he’s proving after his entire life and work and death and years after, his original proposition, to the world. His life’s work equation. He’s proving the dynamics of an asteroid. It’s his life in a song. In a moment.
But he’s also not. In math it’s a true or false statement, with no middle ground. And it’s up vs Ritsuka’s assertion he’s a good person they were right to have faith in, and isn’t going to betray them and kill them. Either he’s right and the world is going to end, and the devil’s bullet hits you, or he’s wrong and his entire life’s work is going to be thrown away for the well-being a teenager he’s known for a week. It’s his proposition, but he’s also the proposition himself. The song is him and his entire life. I

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/theyre-not-human-how-19th-century-inuit-coped-with-a-real-life-invasion-of-the-walking-dead
Indigenous groups across the Americas had all encountered Europeans differently. But where other coastal groups such as the Haida or the Mi’kmaq had met white men who were well-fed and well-dressed, the Inuit frequently encountered their future colonizers as small parties on the edge of death.
“I’m sure it terrified people,” said Eber, 91, speaking to the National Post by phone from her Toronto home.
And it’s why, as many as six generations after the events of the Franklin Expedition, Eber was meeting Inuit still raised on stories of the two giant ships that came to the Arctic and discharged columns of death onto the ice.
Inuit nomads had come across streams of men that “didn’t seem to be right.” Maddened by scurvy, botulism or desperation, they were raving in a language the Inuit couldn’t understand. In one case, hunters came across two Franklin Expedition survivors who had been sleeping for days in the hollowed-out corpses of seals.
“They were unrecognizable they were so dirty,” Lena Kingmiatook, a resident of Taloyoak, told Eber.
Mark Tootiak, a stepson of Nicholas Qayutinuaq, related a story to Eber of a group of Inuit who had an early encounter with a small and “hairy” group of Franklin Expedition men evacuating south.
“Later … these Inuit heard that people had seen more white people, a lot more white people, dying,” he said. “They were seen carrying human meat.”
Even Eber’s translator, the late Tommy Anguttitauruq, recounted a goose hunting trip in which he had stumbled upon a Franklin Expedition skeleton still carrying a clay pipe.
By 1850, coves and beaches around King William Island were littered with the disturbing remnants of their advance: Scraps of clothing and camps still littered with their dead occupants. Decades later, researchers would confirm the Inuit accounts of cannibalism when they found bleached human bones with their flesh hacked clean.
“I’ve never in all my life seen any kind of spirit — I’ve heard the sounds they make, but I’ve never seen them with my own eyes,” said the old man who had gone out to investigate the Franklin survivors who had straggled into his camp that day on King William Island.
The figures’ skin was cold but it was not “cold as a fish,” concluded the man. Therefore, he reasoned, they were probably alive.
“They were beings but not Inuit,” he said, according to the account by shaman Nicholas Qayutinuaq.
The figures were too weak to be dangerous, so Inuit women tried to comfort the strangers by inviting them into their igloo.
But close contact only increased their alienness: The men were timid, untalkative and — despite their obvious starvation — they refused to eat.
The men spit out pieces of cooked seal offered to them. They rejected offers of soup. They grabbed jealous hold of their belongings when the Inuit offered to trade.
When the Inuit men returned to the camp from their hunt, they constructed an igloo for the strangers, built them a fire and even outfitted the shelter with three whole seals.
Then, after the white men had gone to sleep, the Inuit quickly packed up their belongings and fled by moonlight.
Whether the pale-skinned visitors were qallunaat or “Indians” — the group determined that staying too long around these “strange people” with iron knives could get them all killed.
“That night they got all their belongings together and took off towards the southwest,” Qayutinuaq told Dorothy Eber.
But the true horror of the encounter wouldn’t be revealed until several months later.
The Inuit had left in such a hurry that they had abandoned several belongings. When a small party went back to the camp to retrieve them, they found an igloo filled with corpses.
The seals were untouched. Instead, the men had eaten each other.

i'm on a roll, so i will finally be getting off my ass and writing the biographies for my oc's. they'll be vague, as they inhabit an entire fictional world and i'm not sure there'd be much of a point to include it. here, they'll be incorporated into any verse i can come up with.
