Background Information; I have been able to verify that he was from Boston. It appears his older brothers helped him train and learn to fight, which explains his very unorthodox... fighting style. While certain information from him I do call into question, such as not knowing his father or his age, he has learned some very valuable hit and run tactics from his older siblings.

Weapons; Mister Reinier prefers his newly acquired "Scattergun" from Mann Co, claiming it reminds him of "Michael's shotgun practices". He also seems adept with a variety of slide based handguns. However, his most preferred weapon is a... baseball bat. He did leave several remarkable holes in the training area with it, though, so perhaps it is not a useless weapon.

Notes; Perhaps one of his most useful skills is his apparent immunity to food related illnesses which was made apparent when he reached for a nearby can of Bonk! that was marked to be thrown out and did not need medical attention. However, the radiation did have an interesting effect in causing his natural speed to become enhanced. He also has somehow learned to jump off of thin air to give him an extra reach for high places, and due to his brothers frequently beating him to fights, has increased his natural speed greatly. Hopefully, his very apparent Dyslexia does not cause a detriment, as he mixes up larger words easily.

Random Thoughts on Attack on Titan: Part 3

Here once again, my random thoughts that I need to get rid of my head and my chest coz I can’t concentrate on things I need to focus on lol. Let’s get started.

(By the way, I don’t mean to offend Reiner’s character here, this is just basically an opinion and y’all are free to correct me or share your own opinion/s if you want)

I feel like it’s more reasonable to get mad at Reiner compared to Zeke. I hate both characters’ parents but I kinda prefer Zeke’s intention even tho I do not agree with him. But what can I say, he’s been through a lot.

I’m sorry if this sounds like invalidating Reiner but at the very least he experienced love and affection from his mom even tho she used him for revenge which is why I hate her. But then again, Zeke has only experienced it from his grandparents but seems like a tool for success in his parents’ eyes to save Eldians just because he has royal blood. He’s given heavy responsibility at a young age and up to the present is trying to hold onto that and the plan he thought of is euthanasia thinking that it will end their suffering and at the same time save the world from titans.

On the other hand, Braun family including Reiner attacked Paradis (not like Reinier’s relatives and mom were with him when they attacked Paradis but you know what I mean...) for their self intentions. Karina’s revenge, Reiner’s goal to be respected by other people. By the way, lemme exclude Gabi from this because even though she also once thought that killing people especially from Paradis was something to be proud of she still has a good intention into doing so, that is for Eldians to have a better image and that’s not only for herself. In fact, these were their goals-- Gabi and her friends in the Warrior training.

PS. Yes, I hated Gabi. I hated her so much, firstly coz she killed Sasha even tho Falco tried to calm her, second her stubborn personality but most of all, I didn’t like the way she tried to push her stupid beliefs to Kaya and told her that Kaya’s mother deserve to die or smth which I believe is very rude of her. But despite my hatred with that child character, I’m also open that she’s also a good kid. Unluckily they were taught wrong and it’s not her fault. I’m not saying it’s also not Gabi’s fault if she kills people. She should take responsibility for her actions coz it was her choice to do so in the first place.

PPS. I don’t like her to die. Aside from me wanting to see her suffer from guilt than just simply dying, I don’t want the good character that she is right now go to waste. I feel like it’s going to be a waste if she just simply dies, there is something more with her character.

Nomi Epstein is the leader of the New Music ensemble a.pe.ri.od.ic, which has performed quietly radical music in Chicago for the last ten years. The group’s presentations have included music by Michael Pisaro, Catherine Lamb, Christian Wolff and Pauline Oliveros. Many times, the featured composers directly collaborate with a.pe.ri.od.ic, either during rehearsals or helping to perform their music. In the weeks before COVID-19 shut everything down, Epstein and her ensemble performed one piece by Peter Ablinger that involved plumbing the raw acoustics of a loading dock, and another by Annea Lockwood that translated a map of Houston’s bayous into a score for sounds that floated like ghostly memories.

To effectively present such music, one must often grasp diverse, elusive concepts and frame them without drawing unnecessary attention to one’s own presence; working variously and often concurrently as a conductor and performer, Epstein has done this many times over. But she is also a composer, and while she has contributed to a.pe.ri.od.ic’s programs over the years, sounds is her first solo recording. 

Over the album’s 76-minute duration, pianist Reinier van Houdt plays three lengthy compositions alone, and two very different trios handle the rest. Together they present a stance that is economical, patient and particularly concerned with permutating patterns. But patience doesn’t mean that you can’t put the pedal down; van Houdt does just that on “Till for solo piano,” which enables him to articulate one iteration of a chord or phrase while another hands in the air. Over the course of nine and a half minutes, the moments when hammers hits wires seem to shift from foreground to background, overtaken by a fog of decaying sound. The next piece, “for Collect/Project,” changes the scene like a suddenly activated overhead floodlight. Nothing cloaks the trio’s articulation, and both the distant-train woosh of Francisco Castillo Trigueros’ electronics and the initial back-of-the-throat cackle of Frauke Aulbert’s voice will bring you up short. As the piece progresses, Aulbert and bass flautist Shanna Gutierrez juxtapose and overplay similar phrases and gestures so that even when you hear one musician at a time, you always hear them in relation to each other. 

Epstein only plays on one track, “sounds for Jeff and Eliza.” It would be fair to call her creeping phrases “composer’s piano,” but don’t take that as faint praise; it’s a recognition that when she is present, it’s to perform a function, and part of that function is to point your ear where she wants it to go. Each ringing note sets a boundary that around the long tones of Jeff Kimmel’s bass clarinet and Eliza Bangert’s flute. As on “Till for solo piano,” repetition and duration erode one’s sense of time and sharpen one’s focus on the sounds themselves. That self-effacement probably also explains why van Houdt’s playing is what you hear on the two-part “Solo for Piano” and “Layers for Piano.” By handing the performance over to a player with such an exacting touch, she invites the listener once more to spend some time inhabiting the realm of sounds.

Reinier Jesus signed a 6,5 year long contract with Real Madrid. The 18 years old will start his European journey in Real Madrid Castilla, but will train with the first team. Real Madrid payed 30 million € for the young Brazilian who is often compared to Kaka. He will join the team on the 9th February after the Pre-Olimpic tournament where he’s representing Brazil U23.

This years recipients of the Prins Bernard Cultuurfonds Fashion Stipendium are JORIS SUK and TESSA DE BOER of MAISON THE FAUX. With this stipendium they receive E 50.000,-.

The Cultuurfonds Fashion Stipendium for exceptionally talented and advanced Dutch fashion designers was established in 2011 by a private patron of the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. The recipients of the 11th edition Joris Suk and Tessa de Boer were interviewed by American video blogger and fashion critic Bliss Foster and gave a presentation that took the audience into the universe of MAISON the FAUX. Fashion designer Claes Iversen, the recipient of the 10th Cultuurfonds Mode Stipendium, presented the challenge trophy.

"This recognition means a lot to us, the appreciation and confidence that the donation gives us has moved us deeply. We feel more than honored to receive the Poodle and to be in the Hall of Fame of the Cultuurfonds Fashion Stipendium. It gives us the opportunity and space to develop further, to realize big dreams and to set our ambitions even sharper." say Joris Suk and Tessa de Boer about receiving the Cultuurfonds Fashion Stipendium.

“The work of MAISON the FAUX has been a radical proposal for inclusivity from day one. It is radically democratic and lovingly anarchic and generous. It is contemporary design, provocative in the sense that MAISON the FAUX refuses to offer a self-perpetuating aesthetic with associated commercial value of exclusivity. Instead, everyone in the foreground can shine.” Angelique Westerhof, director of the Dutch Fashion Foundation, read from the jury report. “We not only celebrate the recipient of the Cultuurfonds Mode Stipendium, but also how important creativity is, how important the training of creatives is, and we celebrate that we all believe in the power of innovation,” she said in her speech.
