Regressor!Newt Headcannons

I think his age range would be around 3-6 years.

Stick dens and blanket forts >>>

Blankets are a huge source of comfort for him. - He likes hiding in them, they make him feel safe.

He gets emotional when regressed, sometimes he yells but he can be calmed down <3

Chews everything 😭

Loves gardening (when little that includes just sitting and playing in the garden mainly - sometimes planting a few flowers or digging some holes.)

Loves hanging out with Thomas- they cause so much trouble when they are together-

As close as he is to Thomas, Newt is extremely attached to Minho. When upset he needs Minho there to calm him. <3

Newt was very secretive about his regression originally, Minho found out when they were both runners and Newt slipped. Minho took care of him and when they got out of the maze they both talked about it and about being more open as it was so dangerous in the maze..

He cannot be left alone, very clingy. Especially when Minho is out running-

Sometimes he will just sit in the kitchens with Frypan- Fry will give him food/snacks whilst he cooks. (When it reaches time to actually eat Newt is already full lol)

Although being regressed can be very emotional for Newt he also gets very giggly when little.

He gets on really well with Gally when little- will absolutely try to annoy him for Gally to just not care because he's just a kiddo 😂

♡ Ohh my gosh, yes I absolutely can do this! I'll do Shuichi first and come back to Magne later!

♡ Shuichi likely wouldn't be very comfortable in a paternal position, but he would be an excellent big brother or uncle figure.

♡ He'd be the kind of caregiver that's great with all kinds of littles because he's just down to hang out with kids!

♡ Bonus Headcanon: They really missed the mark by not giving Spinner a tail. He deserves a tail, and so he gets one now.

♡ He's the kind of guy that doesn't really set up rules or anything, but there is a simple schedule set in place just to have Some structure.

♡ Bedtime is always at 9'o'clock, kiddo! But, if they eat all of their dinner he might be willing to negotiate.

♡ They brushed their teeth all by themselves? Awesome! High five, squirt!

♡ With a younger little, he'll hang some keys or a bell off the end of his tail and jingle it above them while he's doing something else. It's free enrichment!

♡ Will not actively correct a little. If they want pasketti for dinner then that's just what it is, full stop.

♡ You know Shuichi will sit a baby in his lap to watch him play games, that's just a given.

♡ He'll also do more difficult levels on games for an older regressor!

♡ But, not before watching them fail a few times while snickering like a big, dumb jerk! >:(

♡ Not big on scolding, so if the baby is engaging in inappropriate activities he either tosses them up on his shoulder or drags them away with his tail.

Question 6: are they a blankie kid or a stuffie kid?

Chase: dude is a stuffie kid through and through. He has a small kangaroo stuffie with a joey in the pouch that House bought him. That thing goes EVERYWHERE with him. It'll sit in his briefcase at work.

Newt: I don't actually see Newt having a lot of little gear. That being said, he does have a little light blue lovely blanket. Maybe 8cm². He's not quite as attached to it as Newt is to his stuffie but when little, he always is holding the thing

Chase: He's the littlest baby there ever was. It used to frustrate him to no end but he babytalks, colours and loves disney movies while little. He's better with it now. Not to mention that he regresses super small.

Newt: I actually see Newt as being mostly functioning while small. Unless he regresses to under 4 (which is rare), he can take care of himself. He doesn't really fall under any regressor stereotypes

okay here me out little chuck from maze runner headcanons

Regressor!Chuck Headcannons

I think that Newt is the first one to notice Chucks Regression, for safety reasons (because the glade isn't the safest place) Newt tells Alby and the two bring it up with him.

Personally I Headcannons Minho as a flip so I feel like he'd be the next to realise that Chuck regresses.

^ the two of them have playdates with (normally) Newt watching over them.

Chuck regresses from about 3-6.

Gally then notices that sometimes certain people in the glade (Minho, Chuck, Newt and sometimes even Alby) just can't be found, almost as if they're hiding. So Gally looks for them one day and finds out.

Chuck tells Thomas about his regression quite quickly into Thomas's time in the glade (I can't help but think it their bond is just something else 🥹)

Thomas becomes Chuck's primary Caregiver. (Although around anyone else Thomas is normally regressed rather than in a caregiver headspace.) Only looks after Chuck 😂

Surprising although Alby and Newt would be amazing caregivers, I think Alby is to busy running the glade and the same with Newt being second in command along with him looking after Minho (when regressed) and Thomas. I think that Gally would take on the role of Chucks (2nd) caregiver.

I feel like he'd be quite strict but rules are there for a reason, he knows how dangerous the glade can be and just wants to make sure Chuck is safe.

Gally builds a little "play house" (it's a tree house :)) for Chuck (and no one except for the people that know are allowed in there)

I also feel like Gally would make toys for Chuck (like what Chuck made for his parents.) Gally would make toy cars, figures and all sorts of fun toys (he also makes some stuff for some of the Regressors, Minho and Thomas)

Gally is super strong (from being a builder) and oh boy as long as other people aren't around Chuck is being carried around.

Fry finds out one day when he sees Gally making chocolate milk for Chuck in a sippy cup (don't ask where the cup or materials came from, pretend Wckd sent them up with Chuck and no one noticed??)

Fry starts giving Chuck food that's shaped in fun ways (subtly)

Chuck is the only one that Gally will willingly hug (he secretly loves it)

Overall anyone that knows looks after each other.
