Thinking about the beauty about poetry tonight on this cold windy night
#im so fucking mad at a tiktok that ive been writing poetry out of spite for an hour now#look i get that poetry isnt meant for everyone#and i get that most poems can only be understood by the intended recepient#but i saw the dumbest fucking take on tiktok which was that poetry is cheesy and not worth doing unless you can do it properly#fuck off you do not know the first thing about poetry if you think it needs to follow rules and rhymes#poems do not need to be limericks they just need to be written#theres no such thing as a bad poem because a bad poem is still better than no poems#you cannot analyize poetry in a way that isnt poetic in of itself#i just hate hate hate hate hate it when people talk so much shit about poetry but when you sit them down to write you a poem they cant#im so fucking sad that people think poetry must inherently need to be beautiful#to be life changing and awe inspiring#gahhhhhhhhhhhhhh#screaming scratching crying and howling#regardless of their stance i will still read and write poetry because fuck you fuck you fuck you#enjoying poetry out of spite and admiration for the craft
