I just had a thought: what is @neil-gaiman has been a gimmick account all along, all these years it's been just a well-mannered person masquerading as him... only revealing the truth when saying "Neil Gaiman has no social media."
I just wanted to say that I find it stupidly hilarious that you, a sucessful and well-known author, chose the cesspit that is called Tumblr to be your social media platform :)
I'm glad to say that Neil Gaiman has no social media.
#neil gaiman#i love the fact he's here#and that he reblogged me once is probably my best claim to fame#written five books? pedestrian#reblogged by neil gaiman on tumblr once? fantastic#(i had an explanation as to why the spelling of his family name had changed from haiman to the current from)

TAG GAME: EIGHT SHOWS TO GET TO KNOW ME
I was tagged by @scienceoftheidiot of course as this is the only person to drag me regularly from Tumblr limbo to actually post stuff and not just reblog shit!
My friend you won’t be surprised that I have no less than THREE shows in common with you.
Ripper Street - To this day, I have yet to watch a better period crime drama. It is extremely compelling in its topics, atmosphere and humour. I love everything about it, except the SUFFERING and CRYING induced by watching it. (Below: me, watching “for the plot”)
Suburra - Probably the best thriller/mob series I have ever watched. Absolutely brilliant acting, complex characters and a wonderful take in my opinion on masculinity and friendship in these particular circles. Amazing music choices to top it off.
Daredevil (Netflix, although as I’m not what you might call a “connaisseur”, I will probably watch the next series) - The only “superhero” adaptation I have enjoyed from beginning to end. I do resent the Wesley situation A LOT and I still want answers! This is the second show @scienceoftheidiot managed to completely suck me into. I have to confess enjoying the Punisher character way too much.
Good Omens - My first experience of Neil Gaiman’s work, 10/10 would recommend! Already watched it 3 times. The Tennant/Sheen duo is exquisite and works so well.
Detectorists - This is truly a gem, hilarious, touching, completely ridiculous at times and so very British in so many ways. Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones really are next-level weirdos in this and I love them.
Murdoch Mysteries - I’m a sucker for crime shows and period drama so of course this one had to make the list. We do love a good, strong female lead and Dr. Julia Ogden is just that! Society issues are dealt with in an interesting fashion (a bit like in Ripper Street but in a less political way maybe). The number of famous people/inventors Murdoch encounters is preposterous but when have regular crime shows ever been realistic anyway?
Downton Abbey - Peak period drama, obviously. A FANTASTIC cast - I mean, just Maggie Smith is enough to make me watch this. And the costumes, dear god! Not really a hot take on servants/masters dynamics but hey.
Broadchurch - One of the toughest series I have watched, but so well written. The gloomy and tense atmosphere is masterfully crafted and this is everything I like about a crime thriller. Also, Olivia Colman.
(Very pissed to not be able to include Agatha Christie’s Poirot which is probably where my love of British TV, period dramas and crime started all at once.)

Get to know me
Tagged by @nationalboner. Thank you so much! I feel ridiculously happy to be tagged in something like this!
Tag 15 of your followers that you would like to get to know better:
I tag: @tristealven, @xionin, @radiant-fuckup, @stardustflake, @evak-uatethedancefloor, @eloquenceseeker, @annjonesbooks, @joanarebola, @arindwell, @wideblueskies, @jeanlucai, @softestisak, @asflowerpot1, @allyasavedtheday, @skamaddicted, @tarjeiandhenrik, @nantzeripmo1981, @canvea, @georgiegirl70, @starscrapes, @smolbeanvaltersen.
Don’t feel obligated, but also please don’t feel left out if I didn’t tag you! <3 I really like to know more of you, I`m just a bit shy, so I rarely dare to speak to anyone here on Tumblr.
Name: Camilla.
Nickname: I have none, except "mamma" or "vennen".
Gender: Female.
Star sign: Leo, but I have heard that I am quite a lot like Cancer too.
Height: 157 cm (5′ 2″). Yeah, I`m short.
Sexual orientation: Do I have to lable myself? I`m married to the man of my dreams, though. And I`m really boring, I`m monogamous and everything (not boring in bed, that`s not what I mean... god).
Hogwarts house: This is difficult, because I sometimes feel like I could fit in all four houses. But I`m probably Hufflepuff.
Fav colour: Blue.
Fav animal: Elephants.
Average hours of sleep: 6-7. Should sleep 7-8 hours, I guess, but I`m always up too late.
Cat or dog person: Dog, but I`m allergic to both cats and dogs!
Favorite fictional person: I love every character with at least one good trait, like empathy, courage or.. book/ comics/ music/ movie/ art interest, and at least one flaw, like pride, fear, or being messy, lazy or grumpy. I thought I would say they must have humour too, but then I realized that I love quite a lot of humourless characters. I just can`t pick one fav. OK, just now I love Neil Gaiman`s Loke, because I recently read "Norse Mythology". It`s a love/hate-thing, of course, he`s a trickster after all.
#of blankets I sleep with: I have one duvet in my bed, and I don`t need blankets?
Fav singer/band: I don`t know, I love so much different music, but I wan`t it to stand out from what you hear every day. I have discovered that I have a weakness for music with hints of folk music. Like Balkan Beat Box, for instance, or Valkyrien Allstars in Norway. I like rock, grunge, some metal, some rap, r&b, good written pop songs (there`s a lot of bad pop out there), jazz and classic and contemporary music.
Dream trip: I want to go to Iceland (I really want to go to a warm beach or something once too, just to experience how it is. But Iceland, the legends and the hot springs there, is my dream trip).
Dream job: I have my dream job allready, and I want to keep it a secret. I work with people, I can say that. But I also dream about writing books again. And about painting again.
When was your blog created: Must have been at the end of 2016, I`m pretty new at this.
current # of followers: 60.
What made you create a tumblr: I discovered Tumblr when I got Skam obsessed last year. I saw all the fantastic gifs and pictures from the show, and from other fandoms, and just created this thing to be able to see what other people posted. But then I started to reblog and post things myself. Now my blog thing is this weird place with a lot of Skam and a little bit of other posts about random thoughts and stuff I like. I kind of like it. I really don`t know how to be social on Tumblr yet, but I might get there one day.

Fanfiction Author Profile Friday
This is the sixth interview in what I hope will be a long running series! I think people need to feel more connected to the brilliant authors behind their favorite fics, I also feel that fic authors need to be taken just as seriously as published authors and treated with respect and admiration in the same way. Making money should not be the only way to gain prestige! Some of the best peices of writing I’ve ever read have been fanfictions and they are often equal or superior to published stories. If you have a story or author recommendation, let me know! And if you have a question you’ve always wanted to ask your favorite author, message me and I’ll try to make it happen!
Pen name: megabadbunny
Age: 29
Is English your first language? It is indeed!
How long have you been writing? I’ve only been posting the last two years or so, but technically I’ve been writing since 2013.
What do you think your strongest piece of writing has been? Although it could probably use some tweaking, since I’d like to think I’ve grown since then, I think my strongest overall piece is probably Voice and Shadow. I feel like it maintains a good tone, I think it’s genuinely frightening in places, the character voices feel strong, I feel like it’s pretty well-structured, and it has probably my strongest use of imagery.
Your weakest? I hate to say it because it’s my baby, but my first entry in my Defenders of the Altverse series is probably my weakest story. I don’t think it’s bad, I think it’s pretty darn fantastic for something written by a 100% green amateur (especially given that it’s a multichapter), but you can just tell it’s among my earliest work, and it commits some newbie errors. I’d like to polish it up someday, bring it up to snuff.
What is your favorite website for posting your writing and why? It’s a toss-up between tumblr and AO3. Tumblr can just be so great for connecting with and reccing fellow readers and writers, and I really like AO3’s review system–both the kudos and the comments are pretty great. It’s always really nice to open up my inbox and have a little notification that someone left me a kudo or a comment. :3
What do you find most challenging about writing fanfiction in particular? Writing even when I don’t feel inspired.
In your opinion, what can the fanfiction community do to encourage fanfiction writers to continue their art? Reblog and leave reviews and comments! Though it is horribly hypocritical of me to say so because I tend to abstain from looking at fic for long periods of time because I’m afraid of unintentionally aping someone’s style or ideas, so I myself am not always very good at giving fic attention, I’m afraid. :(
What was your favorite review or comment? One of my all-time favorites was when someone followed the breadcrumbs and figured out a sly l'il twist I worked into a story (but I don’t want to post it because it’s kind of a spoiler!), but honestly this one probably takes the cake and possibly (read: definitely) made me happy-cry a little bit:
“Holy. Shit. This is spectacular. Honestly one of the best Tentoo fics I think I’ve ever read, if not *the* best Tentoo one shot. I’ve been really not feeling Tentoo lately – I actually started my favorite verse recently and had to quit. But this fic……..WOW. You really outdid yourself with this. It’s just so marvelous. I loved your style of writing throughout it and the perspective you took with the Doctor. I think it’s so unique and really love where you started it and wove the story throughout. It’s just…. WOW. I’m going to try and go through and point out some stuff I loved.
If a single other thought does manage to amble through his mind, it’s something along the lines of how wonderful it feels to run to something instead of from it, just this once. I love it. What a great thought.
The paragraph when he’s talking about how he doesn’t pick stupid or clingy. It’s so great when the Doctor loses just a little bit of control and just really says the things he wants to say. It’s wonderful, and I love how you captured this.
The moment after the bath when they’re standing in the hall is excellent – love all the little details you added – as is the conversation he overhears the next morning outside the office.
AND THE ENDING. *CLAPS*
Honestly, my comment isn’t really that great. There’s just so many wonderful points you made in this story that I can’t even begin to adequately express, and it’s so good. Thanks for this!!”
THIS COMMENT IS AMAZING WHAT DO THEY MEAN IT’S NOT GREAT I’M NOT CRYING YOU’RE CRYING
What type of fanfiction do you enjoy reading? Adventure, angst, antagonistic flirting, and UST-laden fluff are my personal favorite fic genres, though I won’t sneeze at some well-written, in-character smut.
What are some of your favorite fanfictions or fanfiction authors? In no particular order (and by no means an exhaustive list!), the people that immediately come to mind are helplesslynerdy, abadplanwellexecuted, oodlyenough/thirtytwoflavors, allrightfine/cereal, gallifreyburning, stoprobbers, aeolist, goldydollar, wordsintimeandspace, tripwirealarm, sequencefairy, valueturtle, and rallalon (and of course my darling tiffotcf)
What are some major influences on your writing? Neil Gaiman is probably the biggest influence on my style. And some of my fellow fic authors, tbh. 0:)
Anything else you would like to tell people about yourself? I’m a giant dork, I’m obsessed with cats and cupcakes (and probably cat-shaped cupcakes), and I’m also just about the friendliest recluse you’ll ever meet. :’D
I would like to thank MegaBadBunny so much for their time! I would like to encourage you to go and read their fanfiction! Remember to leave comments and kudos in support!
