the real trouble I have when writing Eleven/Rose stuff is that if it's gonna be believable to canon, he cannot just be randomly traveling with her. I did Lost and Rewritten. I already did that. and that's the closest thing I feel like getting to human AUs and domestic AUs etc. like oh it's fine with the Tenth Doctor, with him they can be doing anything, but with Eleven/Rose the circumstances have to be so specific. I don't want to write "Dimension Hopping Rose Runs Into Eleven" because that bores me personally. I don't want to write toughened lonely soldier Rose. I already did that. I want to write the Eleventh Doctor not with Clara and not necessarily dragging the Ponds along behind him, with Rose, but also not any kind of AU. which boxes me in QUITE A LOT-

I think the real thing that upsets me, as someone who fell in love with the Avengers and the X-Men before I even realized it was an option for them to exist in the same place at the same time, is that "Two superhero groups that hate each other because of a history of writers contriving conflicts between them in the hope of Being Deep and/or creating drama" is way less fun that "Two superhero groups that do nearly the same thing but actually have two very specific specializations and have to balance working with each other in something between 'professional esteem' and 'disdainful rivalry'," which is one of the funniest ideas on the freaking planet.

Like, yes, it's frustrating that it creates a fandom space where liking one group implies disliking the other group. It's frustrating that it results in my favorite characters being mischaracterized over and over again to force a conflict. But it's even worse that we could still be having dorky super hero banter between two teams instead of just one and we keep getting robbed of that in favor of threatening the X-Men's existence.

What I'm trying to say is that Wolverine being an Avenger should be a scandal because Scott is offended and shocked that the Avengers think Logan would be more useful in a world-ending conflict than he is, not because one of the Avengers said that mutants don't deserve rights and another one of the Avengers is heading up a government initiative that forcibly discloses the identities of people with superpowers to the world.

Perspectives is very interesting. It shows things from their side or viewpoints.

For example in the FF7 universe, we see Cloud and the other dislike Shinra right away because of how the government is bad along with the use of mako which ends up hurting the people more than it helps.

However, Barret forms AVALANCHE and is willing to kill innocent bystanders when destroying Shinra's Mako reactors. He eventually feels guilty for this as his goal evolves from that and saves the planet to give the people he cares about a future.

However, those who don't know that Shinra is bad see it differently. Zack for instance is in SOLDIER because he wants to do a good thing. He wants to be a hero and is told that the reactors and Mako help people such as the beginning with the war against Wutai.

As he goes through his journey, he eventually learns that Shinra has done some messed up stuff and experiments. Zack does all he can to stay in his beliefs and wants to help Angeal, Genesis, and then Sephiroth. However, he was unable to.

After the Neibelheim incident, he tries to leave Shinra and wishes to become a mercenary.

From an outsider's perspective everyone must be bad right? That's not exactly the case. They don't know all the details so they believe it's for a good cause or purpose. Zack was unaware of what all Shinra did. He didn't know that some of the reactors blew up and the Shinra blamed the people, such as with Barret's village.

Perspectives could also be seen in a lot of things, Cait Sith is also like this. At first he is a spy for Shinra, but then he ends up letting them spy on Shinra and believes they're not exactly wrong either.

In general if you apply perspectives then there could be cases where not everyone believes they are doing bad but good.
