The Nine Realms (Take 2) - RC9GN Brainrot

i decided to retouch on my older nine realms post, because i swear- it felt very jumbled and i wanted to explore new themes better!

fair warning: this is still going to be incredibly long!

so on one hand, we have the actual land of shadows - the only realm that we are introduced to as the audience; from what we can see in the land of shadows, it appears to be almost completely desolate with floating structures and is very vast (which honestly adds to the idea that it's more than likely a realm where things are sent to and/or created at rather than a natural place someone would live in). granted, we are literally told in canon that the first ninja sealed the sorceress in there - meaning it could've kept happening, but then what does that mean for the second realm?

i like to think that certain realms have a specific element they're tied to, and i wanted to start with earth for some reason- that the second realm is tied directly to natural disasters like earthquakes and therefore the place is a bit mountainous, filled with a steep, rocky terrain and there are prominently more monsters (something a little more dangerous); they are driven by a sense of unrest- attacking based on one of the five senses rather than simply fear to keep things interesting. (these monsters are likely to attack based on someone's scent- using the terrain to their advantage)

fear is still an aspect here, but instead of being influenced by what one holds most dear- it's based more on the feeling of being watched, anything that goes bump in the night rather than what we saw in the first/second seasons

here, we're introduced more to the shadow warrior - the last foe left by the land of shadows - and a new villain is brought in as an overarching theme for the theoretical continuation of rc9gn: the oni

onis are yokai; we see the beginning of a shift from the sorcerer to genuine monsters the ninja would have to face- because i am a menace and there may be a reason to this, shhh but the point is that oni are demons- they have superhuman strength, and have more raw, innate powers which honestly would be a great challenge (but we'll talk about this more later-). the first battle i'm envisioning genuinely has me frothing at the mouth, but right now that's staying directly in my daydreams

i genuinely have no idea what to name this realm- so we'll get to that later, but for now, this is the ideas that came to me! hope you enjoy because there is so much more to come!

Some Ninja Randy related art I just wanted to post right now. But it’s not just the og, but some different versions of him that I had made long time ago and decided to try drawing again today!

Oh boy, I haven’t thought of these guys in a very long time until now. Some of you who has seen some art from both my old account and the old ones in this account may know of them (expect for Bad Ending!Randy, I never really showed him, I think). And yes, I will kinda explain each one of them since the rest of you probably don’t know about them at all so here we go.

1. Evil! Randy

an evil version of Randy, with all the chaos pearls in his disposal now that the sorcerer is fully gone. And no, not in the way like in the season 2 finale but like…well.. let’s just say, he’s still trapped.

staying in the now abandoned norrisville high school (what happen to everyone in there? No body knows), Evil! Randy is mostly alone by himself, plotting and thinking about what to do next now that everything with him has changed.

If he ever does get a visitor in the school, he seems quite calm and wise towards them, showing them around and even asking them for favours to help him a little around the place, give him company as he haven’t had some in so long…..but don’t be fooled. Remember, those green orbs corrupts whoever has them and this Randy is no different.

Howard’s and the Nomicons whereabouts in this au? currently unknown.

The only new thing about him right now are those few green glowing cracks on his suit and all, I thought those would look cool on him.

2. Horror! Randy

Now you can easily find this guys story and first drawings of him on my account. Just click on the Rc9gn tag while staying on my account, scroll far down and you’ll find it. Easy peasy. But if you’re too lazy, I’ll give you a short(er) and quick version.

This Randy’s story takes place back in season 1, right after he just became the ninja and a few days passed. He meets some evil spirit who takes a form of a ninja and tricks him into thinking that it’s from the nomicon and that there’s people who are monsters in disguise’s that he has to ‘get rid of’. Because of this along with illusions from the spirit to make it more believable, he ends up killing lots of innocents, even Howard which he immediately feels tons of regret and guilt for.

At the end, Randy becomes a lonely mess, a lost cause, a paranoid psycho ninja who now can’t tell the difference between an actual monster and a human thanks to the manipulation of the fake ninja spirit who is now suddenly gone along with the illusions.

Basically, this is a fucked up Randy who suffers a lot and is very lonely. He does kill though.

3. Disbelief! Randy

This Randy is kinda based on and inspired by the disbelief Papyrus Undertale Au. But instead of Papyrus with Sans jacket on, it’s the poor ninja boy with Howard’s. Most of this one is just Randy wearing the only thing he has left of his dead friend, trying to avenge him. Who or what got Howard killed? From what I remember (I never wrote any of these guys stories down) it was Mcfist and Viceroy, it was an accident with a robot of theirs. They never meant to have it kill the guy but it just…happen.

Damn, I have two au’s where Howard is dead. Good lord-

4. Bad Ending! Randy

One I have never shown here before.

This was first a ‘what if’ thing. Like what if at the season 2 finale, in the battle between the sorcerer and Randy, it ended up terribly wrong? With Julian and Howard coming in too late, The sorcerer successfully stabs Randy deeply in the chest, making him be the one to lose and slowly die. The last things he got to see and hear at the end is a concerned Julian, a devastated crying Howard and the laughter of his enemy in the background.

After dying with one last breath, Randy ends up in a void. A blank, white, empty void with no one else but him, who is now mostly black and white, expect for the bleeding wound on his chest, a painful reminder of his defeat. Well, the nomicon is with him. However, he can’t communicate with it anymore.

Why? Because the book, that is also lost of color like the boy, seems to be corrupted. Not like evil corruption but just some kind of corruption that keeps it shut and quiet, no glowing, no beeps, nothing, having this sort of ink all over the cover that never stops dripping and keeps its pages sticky and shut tight.

Randy doesn’t understand this and the place he is stuck in but all he does know is he can’t get help anymore and he can’t even get to see what is going on in his home right now, though he assumes that it’s now slowly turning into a chaotic wasteland thanks to the sorcerer. All he can do now is cry and cry, mumbling to himself and getting mad at himself for losing so easily like that, probably even developing self hatred in the process.

There is actually some continuation i made for this with a good ending, where Randy somehow is able to fix the Nomicon, get out of the endless white void, get revived, reunite with Howard along with many others and finally defeat the sorcerer once and for all. Though that one never got finished and from what I remember, it’s not really canon and not a true ending to this au so….oops.

Tbh I had a really hard time deciding so I ultimately just gave the Prince to Nomirandy since I'd think he'd suit better.

BUT LIKE THE TIME WHERE THEY SWITCH CLOTHES WOULD BE BETTER WITH NOMIRANDY AS THE SERVANT YKNOWYKNOW (but like what do you guys think 😝😝😝😝😝❓️❓️❓️)

I think there’s some lore for my crossover AU I need to get out because it’s getting confusing even for myself:

The Ninja (Randy Cunningham, 9th Grade Ninja): The First Ninja, aka Finja, was a well respected warrior who hailed from Norrisville, a small town on the outskirts of Vale. Finja single-handedly held off hordes off Grimm on his own, and bested the Sorcerer, who was turning people into Grimm (by stanking them, since Grimm are attracted to negative emotions, so with enough negative emotions and a push from the gas, you can become a Grimm too! This’ll be important later.)

He kept Vale safe for years, especially during Ozpin’s lack of showing due to his depression. Eventually, after Ozpin gave his power to the Maidens, Ozpin also imparted some of his Semblance onto Finja, allowing him to pass on his learnings and his abilities to the next generation until a Ninja became powerful enough to stop Salem.

He fought alongside Ozpin in the Great War and was the catalyst for victory, and ended up dying of old age.

Randy Cunningham is the most recent to iteration of the Ninja, and Ozpin has found that the combined abilities of the Ninjas who came before him could very well be enough to stop Salem, but he needs a push. With the Sorcerer’s return and new threats, Randy needs all the help he can get.

The Omnitrix, Ascalon, and Map of Infinity (Ben 10):

Azmuth created the Ascalon as a show of his genius. However, after misuse, he brought great destruction to his galaxy, and looked to use it for good. He brought it to the backwater planet known as Earth during the Great War, and it was the reason why Ozpin was able to slay the Dagon and stop Salem from winning.

However, unhappy that it simply brought peace to one planet and would not bring his lover back, he left the Ascalon on earth for Ozpin to guard. The Ascalon then became The Relic of Destruction.

He then went on to create the Omnitrix, with the same backstory as the original series, with it being meant for Grandpa Max. It was found by ten year old Ben Tennyson, who was at first hesitant to touch it, but used it as a last resort when he was cornered by Grimm in a forest, starting a forest fire with Heatblast.

The map of infinity was hidden by Professor Paradox in an attempt to keep the forge of creation away from anyone who wished to abuse its power. The map can only be found once a question is asked to the Relic of Knowledge, an all-knowing genie who can answer any three questions once every hundred years.

Ben, Yang, Kevin and Gwen eventually race against Aggregor to find the map pieces, and team up shortly with Weiss and Randy to obtain the relic before going their separate ways once again, and meeting up much later with everyone in the big showdown.

The Nanite event (Generator Rex): As if Vacuo didn’t have it bad enough, the nanite experimentation facility was on a remote island near Vacuo. When attempting to cure a sick Rex Salazar, his parents accidentally unleashed a devastating nanite explosion. However, the nanites were contained by Atlas troops with powerful magnets and force fields, sealing the island off and labelling it “The Bug Jar.”

A young Rex eventually bursts out of the jar and wreaks havoc on Vacuo with his awakened Evo form, even turning many Grimm into hyper charged EVOs. He’s then found by Six and brought into the Providence wing of the Atlas military, specialised to deal with Earthly threats too dangerous for the normal military, to be trained with his abilities to cure EVOs, in a building on the very edge of the Bug Jar.

Rex hates his life there, and he enrols into beacon academy to become a Huntsman.

Summer Rose, the greatest Huntress that ever lived (RWBY): In an attempt to stop Salem, Summer storms Salem’s castle with a little help from Raven and a time-hopping Ben Tennyson, who’s trying to track down Maltruant in the Time War.

The trio are on the cusp of succeeding, but Salem reveals her secret weapon: an alliance with the Sorcerer.

Ben goes Clockwork as Maltruant tackles him into the time stream once again, leaving Summer to fend for herself, which is a huge mistake. She ends up losing quite horribly to the combined forces, and is kept alive for experiments on how to turn humans into Grimm.

Summer eventually becomes The Hound, a hyper-intelligent Grimm capable of tearing apart armies. With the abilities of Ghostfreak and Pesky Dust, plus Ruby’s silver eyes, Ben and Ruby manage to pull Summer out of the Hound and give Ruby her mom back.

🗡️ About the Norisu Dojo 🗡️

This is a companion blog to @dragon-of-norrisville. They are both part of a project that for now is just being referred to as a Role Swap AU! I don’t know the full name of my alternate universe just yet but I will figure it out I promise!

Anyway~

The premise of the AU is that Randy and First Ninja swap roles where First and his family are Japanese immigrants who end up in Norrisville- and well, First is definitely not the Ninja, amirite? And well, Randy’s the one who’s sort of… from a different period to say the least. This is a personal AU of mine and, well, somehow this was born as a result oops.

For this blog however, you will be allowed to interact with different characters but of course, this means there are more rules to follow. It won’t be anything too complicated- it’s just to keep my sanity intact is all hahaha.

So this happened.

Honestly still thinking of my angst fics-

On one hand, we have Tengu! Howard who would burn the world down for Randy; he will fan the flames- raise his wings high and end the very thing that would have otherwise destroyed his flock- his friend. Howard who is willing to completely tear everything apart (literally staring at the episode where Randy sacrificed himself by jumping into the Land of Shadows) for someone who’s his. They are linked by the woven threads of fate

We also have Nomi- desperate and full of anger, and fear- who is still a teenager, wanting nothing more than to bring his brother home. He’s never seen Finja this weak; the battered form of his older brother attempting to make him leave but they’re all they’ve got- and Nomi will be damned if he let anything happen to him. They can’t fall- not now, not when everything hangs in the balance. Not when it was their fault, they’re all they’ve got

But I also have new ideas, and they are consuming my thoughts- all caused by my own episode last night, it’s exhausting- but still,

Doomed by the Narrative: In an alternate turn of events, following the Sorceress’ attempt at vengeance on Randy- well, things don’t end well. Randy sacrifices himself; throwing himself into the land of shadows but what if he hadn’t made it out? What if- in the end- he was trapped in another realm with no way out?

Doomed by the Narrative: The Mixtape -> I also wanted a darker version of the season two battle; much like the Tengu! Howard idea, the Sorcerer manages to severely weaken Randy- he’s injured, weakly trying to get away because Norrisville needs him, he’s the Ninja but his breathing’s labored. In a desperate turn of events, Howard calls the Tengu- breaks the stoke, and the process repeats. Only this time… something’s wrong. Randy’s on the brink of death- and Howard is not about to witness it (even if he has to scour the ends of time and earth to save him)

Literally just me writing about how much PTSD Finja has-

Another Hurt! Randy Trope: Randy has never expected to truly be hurt by the robots from McFist Industries- except this time, he’s at their mercy and is captured (he’s going to die there). He’s at the mercy of his enemies, and he needs help- fast

That One Where Howard’s Hurt and Randy Loses his Fucking Marbles: Things go south and Howard is fatally wounded during an attack- Randy handles this with less than grace- fire bursting at the seams as anger consumes him, and he is ready to destroy everything. He’s not going to lose Howard. Not today

That one angsty one-shot between Rei Izumi and Finja, during the final battle

I have… more but genuinely all I want is to write angst. These characters get to suffer- because I am going through it and they will suffer until I deem it time to stop

This looks so cool! I love it.

I saw @flightlessribbons 's RC9GN AU: Nine Realm Gates (Go check them out) and I wanted to draw something! Then I get an idea of Spike (AKA the leader of the Punk Bot) into an Oni who learns the power of thunder. He doesn't show his fangs/tusks? unless he's very aggressive.

It's like ATLA's Lightning-Bending but it gives him nerve shocks (Hence the scars) if used incorrectly. His targets for practice are human villages and when their help arrived, let's just say he didn't like most of their first impressions.

HC: During a past battle, Spike got one of his eyes damaged, causing him to be partially blind in eye one. That doesn't stop him from fighting or training!

Blog/Universe Explanation

Alright, so! Unlike the first two blogs - this one’s a little different although it’s still for asking characters things!

This one specifically and its sister blog @norisu-dojo are part of the same universe; at the moment it doesn’t have an official name, so to explain - the AU is a role swap where “Finja” is the ninja of 2012/2013 (?) and Randy’s the First Ninja (so basically Finja and Randy swap places hahah). I wanted to use the ask blog as a way of developing the universe a little more and to make something different!

It was between that or somehow First Ninja had been given a physical form and Randy convinced him to get social media or something, but I figured why not use one of my AU’s for the heck of it?

Now keep in mind this is still being developed, but you’ll be able to interact with “Finja” and well, possibly get information about the world he’s in! Who knows~

The Light in Your Eyes / (Name Pending) - A “Raised by Miss Power” AU of my own design; shenanigans ensue — Miss Power takes in a young “Wordgirl” before she ever made it to earth and really, what’s the worst that could happen?

Ethereal - An AU inspired off of ‘Rise of Miss Power’; alternate canon / inspiration came from “Light in Your Eyes”. Miss Power somehow manages to completely take Becky as an apprentice but unfortunately, nothing is truly as it seems!

The Multifandom Catalogue

Wordgirl x SPOP - Literally this is just Wordgirl but in the She-Ra universe (the reboot-)

Wordgirl x RC9GN - a crossover where Wordgirl and the Ninja have to work together against a common enemy!

Totally Super - hahahah, this is a spinoff from the RC9GN/Wordgirl crossover; only now it’s the Ninja and the Wordgirl meeting the spies from tv series “Totally Spies”. Shenanigans ensue
