Disclaimer yes yes pregnancy is historically and now something pushed and forced onto people and can be very traumatizing yes the societal expectation to get pregnant and enjoy it fucking sucks yes losing bodily autonomy without one’s consent is scary yes that’s not what im talking about here ok disclaimer over.

Anyway just in general hmm. It feels kinda weird to me to go onto like ppl who are/want to be pregnants shit or like places talking about it and flood it with how horrifying and disgusting evil pregnancy is. Like idk time and place?

Not saying prev correlates w this but ALSO in general a very like…. Uncomfortable disgust or even animosity with pregnant people I see more and more. Idk if you find your gut reaction to a pregnant woman being “ugh she thinks she’s special for being CUMMED IN ew” maybe sit down and think about like. How misogynistic you’re being. For like a second. Or even I see like a haha well then pregnant people should be forced to not go in public because they’re parading their breeding kink around haha like. Can we think about what we are saying. The institutions of misogyny perhaps. The running thing about ewww when people say they’re planning on / trying to have a child. “No one needs to hear you’re being cummed in” (it’s always like on and on about the woman being cummed in isnt it hmmm) I think this is an exciting time in their life and they are going to very soon have almost every aspect of their life affected by the big decision to bring a new human into the world. I can’t stand pregnant people being seen as this like. Inherently sexual inherently inappropriate topic and not. A state of being many people will be. Sorry. Pregnant people are still in fact people and should participate in society.

atp i have pretty much run out of patience for the brand of tumblr feminist posts that treat transmisogyny and the existence of trans women as being of secondary or tertiary theoretical importance & therefore not even worth mentioning, or like, only worth tacking on in one line at the bottom. the reason terfs and other transmisogynists love to rb your shit is because your arguments are compatible w theirs as long as you're conceiving of transmisogyny as an optional add-on to yr analysis & to gender generally. it is painfully clear you see trans women's oppression & the social hatred of transfemininity specifically as some kind of secondary or even accidental outcome of cis women's oppression, rather than as a foundational part of the patriarchal ideology by which ideas of man and woman are constructed as mutually exclusive opposites, w femininity & womanhood specifically configured as lower & able to 'taint' or threaten masculinity & manhood. transmisogyny is a critical ideology of patriarchy and transfemininity is a central concern for it. we need to be done already w the type of coyly liberal feminism whose analysis is first, & often only, about cis women, & which sees transmisogyny as an afterthought to 'other' misogyny rather than as central to its ideological functioning.
