Raya and the Last Dragon: The Dragon Empire

I grew up with the Harry Potter books so part of me couldn't help but imagine the RATLD characters in this world

Raya: In short, she is a Gryffindor

Namaari: Slytherin but I think it could be partly because of the family it comes from

Boun: he would be a Hufflepuff (plus his dorm is near the kitchen)

Tong: he was a Hogwarts student and a member of Gryffindor house

Noi: She's still a baby but I think she has characteristics that could be of a Ravenclaw

Pengu: he would be a Ravenclaw

Sisu: she has a Hufflepuff vibes

Jagan and Pranee: I feel like they would be Slytherin

Amba: she would probably be a Gryffindor

It's clear that Raya and Namaari would have the classic rivalry not only because of the houses they came from but also because they were quidditch players, although that doesn't mean they get along badly they are just very competitive

Sisu probably met them by chance when she tried to avoid a conflict between the two that in the end ended up with all three being punished

Boun despite being several grades younger got along well with Raya and Sisu as he asked them for help in locating some common areas and classrooms

Tong is the owner of a store in Hogsmeade, he met the group(Raya, Sisu and Namaari) when they went to his store out of curiosity

After telling them about his adventures involving magical creatures, the gang visits to his store became more regular

just to clarify, I don't agree with JK's comments, it's just that I recently watched one of the movies and felt a bit nostalgic

Did sisu naturally have all of her siblings powers combined? What if the gem didn’t give her those powers? What if they were always her own?

What if she was more powerful than she thought? I meant we’ve already seen that she doesn’t think too highly of her self. So she thinks her powers are really her Vikings powers passed down to her, because she could never imagine being that powerful.

Idk I was just think abt this. Probably a few plot holes in what I’m thinking but-

Okay so modern au... where the dragons are in human form and Raya visits their apartment. The siblings get into so much trouble with each other it drives Pengu nuts.

Oh and Pengu discovers coffee...

Raya: *rings the door bell*

Pengu, all weary and shabbily dressed: "oh Raya... hi. You're awfully early today."

Raya, giving him a concerned look: "Are you okay... cuz you look like the a thunderstorm struck you."

Pengu: "something like that... anyways what's up?"

Raya: "Is Sisu there, she said she wanted to go to– huh?" *startled by a loud thud*

Raya: *all confused to see his four siblings tackling each other in the background in the far side of the hall*

Pengu, pinching his nose: "Don't ask."

Raya, wide eyed: "you need coffee..."

Pengu, tearing up because he's been stressing out: "I know..."

Sisu and company: *get into the war zone*

Pengu, groaning in defeat: "what did I do to deserve this?"

Raya: "you know what... I'll just go see if the coffee shop's open..."

I'm kinda sad we didn't get to see more of how Sisu's siblings were, I was gearing to hear how her life was before she used the gem and went to sleep for 500 years. Idk, what do you think they would be like if we managed to get more scenes with them?

Yeah, I just remembered two of their names during the film. I had to look up who the other two were asdfghhl.

But I from what we were shown, I guess I can make a few guesses on them.

Pengu- Green dragon. I picture him being the protective older brother of the siblings. He seems to be a natural leader as he made the suggestion to create the dragon gem during their last battle against the druun.

I also see him as Sisu's "favorite brother", mostly because he makes her feel safe and doesn't tease her as much as Jagen tends to.

He would be a major winner of sky racing since he has the ability to conjure up rain, it gives him a advantage to where he can be in the lead most of the time.

Pranee- Violet /dark purple dragon. The 2nd born and the 1st sister of the brood.

She would be the sibling that always tries to stick up for her siblings when the other dragons try to mess with them or her. She can be also very encouraging and tends to be the “mom” of the bunch, making sure her 3 younger siblings are taken care of while also helping Pengu anyway she can.

She has a knack of shapeshifting into different animals that live in the land but she absolutely LOVES being in her human form to the point where she'll stay in it for as long as she can, but also to where she forgets to change back very often.

Jagen- Dark Purple Dragon. I see him as the 3rd oldest right above Sisu making him the middle child of the brood.

He would be one of those older siblings that would get cranky and moody at the slightest thing, whether it's a bad night's rest or if he ate some foul fish.

When that happens, he would use his fog ability to give himself some privacy until his mood swing goes away. He would tend to mess with his younger sisters, especially Amba from time to time just for entertainment and to get on their nerves.

Amba-Dark blue/Royal blue dragon. since we know that's she is Sisu's little sister, I see her as the baby of the family, despite her being slightly taller than her sister.

Since they're so close in age, I can see her being very similar to her sister personality wise. Amba can tend to be funny without realizing it or even trying to compared to Sisu who is always cracking jokes and one liners.

She always tends to stick with Sisu when out exploring Kumandra, hunting or just having down time. It also fits since we see Sisu use her glow that she got from Amba’s powers many times in the film.

Even though she’s similar to her sister, she’s opposite of her through one thing, cleanliness. She’s a bit of a clean freak, to where she constantly makes sure her horn is sharpened and pointy, her mane is free of knots and debris and her fur and scales cannot stay dirty for more than 5 minutes before she has to wash up again.

Sisu's Training... sort of...

Sisu: *running on raindrops over to Raya's palace and onto her bedroom window*

Also Sisu: *crashes inside Raya's room*

Raya: "Aaaah! Sisu! What the hell are you doing?"

Sisu: "O-oh hey, Raya. I-I need to uh... lay low for a while, mind if I crash?"

Raya: "What's going on?"

Sisu: "I'm being hunted."

*Pranee knocks on Raya's door*

Pranee: "Raya, dear? It's Pranee. Is Sisu there?"

*Sisu suddenly disappeared*

Raya: What's going o- Sisu? What the- Where'd you go?

*Pengu knocks*

Pengu: Raya?

*Raya opens the door and sees Sisu's sibling*

Pranee: Raya, dear, so nice to see you. Is Sisu around here?

Raya: She was a minute ago.

*Sisu poking out under Raya's bed*

Sisu: You damn flaker!

Pengu: Alright now, come along, Sisu.

Sisu: No! I refuse!

Pranee: Sisudatu! You come out this instant!

Sisu: Oh what, you're like mom now? Piss off!

Pengu: C'mon, you're 500 years old, act your age!

Sisu: Oh it's not like you were like this when you were my age!

Pengu: Okay, that's it. *Pengu grabs Sisu's hind legs and pulls her out from Raya's bed*

Sisu: No, no, Nooo!!!

*Raya stands smugly*

Sisu: I swear to God, I'll eat you, Raya!

Pranee: That's enough, Sisu. You're a water dragon, you need to have some skills that aren't swimming.

Raya: What's this about?

Amba: It's Sisu's training for having magical abilities. Don't worry this isn't the first time we dragged her out someone's place.

I've been imagining something like this with Sisu and I find it very amusing XD

It’s the way the dragon is literally holding a gem.

ANOTHER MYSTICAL LAND?!?!,!?? YESSS I HOPE THEY DO THAT

What if somehow the druun returned in the second film because of human discord and disagreements within new Kumandra?

Raya and her Gang would have to travel to a whole OTHER Nation to collect a greater power than dragon magic to defeat the druun in their own land once and for all. But this other nation is filled with very...unfriendly people.

Maybe Raya and her gang all get kidnapped by these people. Everyone EXCEPT for Namaari. This means that Namaari once again has to attempt to save the world on her own, while also trying to save her girlfriend Raya friends. This could also mean even more character development for Namaari. We could see how her anxiety and fear of ruining everything again could be a rode-block to her saving Kumandra.

This is just an idea but of course it sounds very similar to the original ratld. Same concept. Find the special source, fix the world.

Point it, I want a second movie. I liked what I got in the first one, but I want more rayaari of the gang.

I like to think that Namaari, Boun, Noi and Tong will each develop a special friendship with one of Sisu's four siblings like how Raya and Sisu specifically bonded

Oooh you could be on to something there mate. But which dragon would pair up with which human????

I'd like think that Pengu and Namaari could be good companions. Both are natural leaders and know the struggles of making tough decisions. I also see him just being a good sparring partner for her when she needs to blow off some steam and no one else is around and to keep her company.

Pranee...hmmm maybe Boun? Mostly we know she has to power to shapeshift into a human and would probably love eating food that humans usually eat in Kumandra and since he is a natural cook, it adds up for them to bond more through their love of food.

She would probably help him with any possible trauma as he settles back into his old life after the druun were defeated and his family was brought back, almost like a honorary sister. Poor kid wouldn’t leave the boat after dark due to the druun for who knows how long so you know he needs some major TLC

Jagen? Possibly Tong. We all know that Tong is a big sweetheart and we can best guess that Jagen might be one of the younger siblings or even the middle child, Tong is probably the most likely to become a mentor to his dragon companion rather than the other way around and teach the young dragon more than he needed to know.

That and Tong would totally let Jagen watch over his little baby for the day just because.

And for Amba. Yeah I see her being little Noi's major dragon pal. Considering both are the babies of their groups (Noi being a literal baby), I can see her taking extreme fond of her and since she doesn't have any younger siblings, she'll treat Noi as if she was her own sibling.

At first Noi would probably just be attached to Amba due to her ability to make her body glow and being in complete awe of that, but soon enough would come to like her just like she did with Sisu.

I'm trying to imagine here, like when Sisu's family actually finds out how much time has passed and Sisu's tells them that (very very nervously) it's been 500 years. AND THEY FREAK OUT.

Basically, all is fine until some dragon mentions their age...

remember how Sisu didn't think highly of her powers when compared to her siblings? What if each of them secretly felt like that too, each believing their powers paled in comparison to the rest.

If that's the case then Pengu making that decision to combine all their abilities and letting Sisu use it makes it feel more powerful in that context
