Life is a roller coaster of wonder

Sometimes your spirit pumps high

You are happy and joy is overflowing

Then you encounter a very hot day

And the tension!

The pressure boils you harshly

You feel like you’re a vapor

Flying around confused

Feels like your head is about to blow

Feels like your face is burning red

Like you are overheated by the situation

And when you feel like you can’t take it anymore

Things start to calm down

Things are sorting out by themselves

And you feel a little bit relieved

Your heart expanded

Bigger and immense

You start loving yourself again

Working out and taking care of yourself

You accept yourself in

All of the beauty within

All of the ugly inside

Acceptance!

Even if you are still running in a cycle

You are relaxing!

Then you realize that happiness is a butterfly

It comes and goes

Mortal and temporary

You start to question yourself again

Is a spec of happiness worth all the bad things you experienced

Are you even allowed to be happy

Are you allowed to laugh carelessly

To smile freely

And there’s the tears

Coming down your face like rain flooding up your heart

Then you try and try to rise

From the bottom but you’re stuck!

And you question all your purposes in life all over again

Do you deserve to be born?

Or do you even exist?

All weeping

Laying low with the blues

Cold days froze your soul

And then you realize that is just life

And everything you’ve been through is just ups and downs in life

The wheel of life

And they shaped you to be who you are today

And you start collecting all the confidence that left your core

Try to feel the warmth of the sunrise

Try to feel all the pressures as motivations to go through the day

And then your heart is full!

You feel content and satisfied!

You’re pumped!

Joy overflowing

Happiness is everywhere

And you start seeing colors everywhere your eyes dart

And the cycle continues

And it just life

Richard Rankin Rebus 'Episode #1.1'

I watched the animated Hobbit movie so long ago I couldn’t actually remember much about what Smaug looked like, except that as a kid I watched all his scenes with equal parts fear and fascination. I thought I’d look him up, since I was fondly remembering Rankin Bass’s dragons from Flight of Dragons - was not disappointed! What an absolutely rad creature design. Beam eyes, viscerally pleasing pebbly scales, fur all over and the face of a wolf/wildcat/goblin who has Seen Things (probably things he caused himself, but whatever)

I did enjoy bendy-snoot Smaug’s design from the live-action Hobbits, but come on. He’s got nothing on this absolute beast.

William John Macquorn Rankine was born on July 5, 1820. A Scottish mechanical engineer who also contributed to civil engineering, physics, and mathematics. He was a founding contributor, with Rudolf Clausius and William Thomson (Lord Kelvin), to the science of thermodynamics, particularly focusing on the first of the three therodynamic laws. He developed the Rankine scale, an equivalent to the Kelvin scale of temperature, but in degrees Fahrenheit rather than Celsius. Rankine developed a complete theory of the steam engine and indeed of all heat engines. His manuals of engineering science and practice were used for many decades after their publication in the 1850s and 1860s.
