Anyway.... So I was watching supernatural, and I finally got to season 14. And I've already decided after what happens to cas I will not be watching the last episode, maybe not the last few. I've had my heart ripped out too often already by too many shows and I can not take it. But I got to like episode 9 in that show I think? When dean gets possessed by Michael again, bc of course he does. But yeah, I heard the deal cas made and now I'm scared to watch the next episode. So of course, I went back a few seasons, as a typical person in denial does...

And now I'm back in season 2. I skipped season 1 bc just no, I considered jumping to season 4 honestly. But just seeing everyone so freaking young again? Like absolute babies. And god, dean is so angry and Sam is just kinda lost, almost still seems out of place. And their dad still acting like an asshole. But I saw bobby again and he's alive and walking and oml. I missed this part of the show. Where all the lighting was so dark and depressing and yet things were slightly more simple, at least more simple them they were in s14.

Idk, I just love getting close to the end of a show and just starting it over again without finishing it. I think I did that with game of thrones like 3 times now, I'm refusing to watch season 8 bc I'm scared for how I know it's going to end.

Anyway, spn S2 vibes are great so far. I'm enjoying myself and not being scared for what's coming next bc I know they live for a while after this. My innocence and hope has been restored

Just finished watching 14x7 | Unhuman Nature for the first time and let me tell you. Sam, Dean, and Cas have never been fathers harder than the first like 15 minutes. Them just in the hospital being so worried as Jack's body is killing him. Dean being all extra worried parental figure and snappy because he hates hospitals. Cas being a worried parental figure because he promised Kelly he would take care of Jack and now Jack's dying and he can't do anything. And Sam just trying to hold the other two together while he tries to hold himself up because Jack dying is hitting everyone hard. None of them could sit still for very long. And Cas just constantly watches Jack through the glass doors, only moving away to stretch his legs. And when they make a split second decision to get Jack out because they've been there far to long for anyone's liking, all three of them practically bolt with Jack back to the bunker. It's just....this show tends to give you good stuff then make you watch as they kill it in front of you. So when you get stuff like this or the Dean & Jack trip it's like 'how are they going to rip this from us this time?'

their vessel runs hot, grace a constant thrum under the skin that imitates a heartbeat well enough for those unaware not to notice. the blue glow that takes over their eyes upon the slightest provocation calms only when their enemies are on the ground, enochian seared into what’s left of their skin once the light dies down.

the heat that follows them shapes the air into wings too big for the space they’re in, even in the most expansive fields earth has. they have to watch out when stepping on grass, or stretching their wings too far into the trees, or fire will follow them too.

eventually it starts to burn, whatever body they’re in. the grace running through its veins turns closer to lava with each passing day, flares deep inside its chest and expands down to its hands when their anger rises. bruises showing up in blues no matter how old they are, burns in its skin hot to the touch.

a smell of fire and smoke follows them when they leave the vessel, and they set ablaze anything in their path on the way to a new body. the largest fires are caused by their rage, charred eyes and hearts left behind on their path.

there's something freezing under their skin, somehow encompassing entire rooms and digging into the skin of everyone around them. the air around them is cold enough to kill, frostbite reaching others before turning their own vessel's hands red with it. its lips are bitten red and raw because the taste of blood is almost intoxicating.

garbled enochian slips through in a constant downpour, because they are an angel and won't taint their tongue with a human language despite the way it burns their vessel's mouth. the easiest way to find them is following the trail of frozen footsteps and the scent of rust so strong it can be tasted.

the hypothermia that sets after some time is what leads them to find a new body, when the one they are wearing becomes too sluggish and their grace starts slipping through the dry cracks in its skin. all that's left is a cold body with its eyes frozen shut.

the earth bleeds on their path, water freezes red by being in their proximity, plants burn and die from the frost. their grace whips through the air and leaves bloody slashes in the skin of anyone who dares get in their way, the wounds never closing completely.

their electricity can be felt under the skin of their vessel, sometimes shocking those who try landing their hands on it. their presence makes people’s hair stand on end, their voice resonates through the room in a way that makes it impossible to ignore. the fissures that appear on its skin from one day to the next are eerily similar to lightning.

the eyes of their vessel gain an unnatural brightness, something fiery that is just wrong when compared to the decaying state of the rest its body. their words flow in a way that’s almost hypnotic, calming until the next strike of their blade.

an ill-suited vessel can’t hold them for long. the tremors starting in its hands show that, as do the bouts of dizziness that hit them every so often. by the time their vessel starts losing its sight they have a new victim picked, their electricity having already eroded the brain of the previous.

it seems as if thunderstorms follow their grace, both rain and lightning falling close but never hitting them. wildfires start in their wake, raindrops never quite reaching their destination, and the injured miraculously recovering in hours.

there’s a wind hiding under their skin, usually unnoticeable to the common eye. they’re light on their feet, eyes travelling through every corner of the room they’re in, the air around them somehow feeling heavy with the power they chase. at times it blows stronger, the whole of them looking longer, bigger than their vessel, but it doesn’t last long anymore.

their vessel’s skin grows dry with time, tearing open with each snap of their fingers, grace pouring from its hands and giving life to lilies wherever it falls. all of their vessels’ hands are burnt by the time they leave, skin too fragile to handle their grace.

erosion is what kills their bodies, the debris that always seems to fly back towards them easily chipping away at flesh and bone. what’s left of the body after they take their leave isn’t enough to keep it alive, not with the dust coating its lungs.

tornadoes follow the path of their grace, leaving destruction and chaos between their vessels. they are angry, and they are frustrated, and the mayhem they create is the singular way they can be heard. the debris lifted by their rage is flung as far as their grace can reach.

Do you ever want any fictional character to be real but at the same time don't. Like , take the doctor for example, who doesn't want a very kind hearted alien who can take you anywhere you want, but at the same time you don't want him to be real because you can't bear the thought of someone you care about so much to be sad, because the doctor has become this lovely , beautiful version because of all the hurt he had to go through, same goes with Patrick Jane from the Mentalist, I mean look at the guy with the most beautiful smile and kindest eyes, but you love those eyes because there's a tinge of sadness hidden in them, the tragedy that had happened to him is what made him the version we adore. Also not to forget, Sam and Dean Winchester, like they are beautiful people( not talking about looks only, that's obvious) but they are beautiful, because they have gone through all these tragedies. All these characters I want so badly to be real , but not go through all this hurt at the same time, but they won't be the same without it.

Random WIP Rant: outfits :)

This is just me explaining a random WIP-related topic! I've been thinking a lot about outfits and costuming for Liminal Bird-Dogs, especially from an on-screen perspective as it's a movie script wip! So here is me going on a little tangent about that ↓

Cal: earth tones, baggy (ish) clothes, denim, cutesy jewelry, long jackets, signature pair of overalls, clothes for camping/hiking, minimal amount of stuff (doesn't like to over-shop/have a cluttered closet) ↓

Mary-Ella: muted tones and greyscale, big coat with small tops, baggy jeans or mini skirts, accessories, signature leather jacket, thrifted fashion ↓

Winnie: mix of colours and patterns, flannels, denim, thrifted/hand-me-downs from relatives or bought from small ethical businesses ↓

Inola: mostly neutral tones, linens, prioritizes comfort and movement over style, works a lot so she usually is wearing her uniform ↓

Okay, can we just take a minute to appreciate the chaos god that is Loki?

1. He has a case just for lollipops like people have cases for cigars.

Trickers have a sweet tooth, yes, but this? This is dedication. Commitment. Showing his love for dumb dumbs of all things.

When Gabriel was "playing" Loki, he would conjure up all sorts of sweets. He would always have some sort of candy in his hand. He was trying hard to play the part. When it comes to the real Loki though, all we see in the like 20 minutes he's on screen for, is this case of lollipops. Nothing else. No other sweets. He doesn't need to show it because everyone knows he's the real deal at this point. The excessive sweets was all Gabriel.

2. He's extravagant.

to his outfit

he's extravagant. He is a Norse god after all.

The hotel/motel he chose to stay in is shitty at best. It's dirty and probably falling apart. This God though. He uses his abilities to make the room look like a 5 star hotel.

And his outfit in this episode. It's the perfect mixture of cocky and classy. And he rocks it.

That brings us to

3. He has way too much confidence and is way too cocky

it just radiates cocky confidence. It's like he's amused by the whole situation. That is until Gabe drives the wooden sword through his chest, then and only then, do you see the momentary fear in his eyes as he slowly fades.

And finally,

4. He uses illusions without continuities

With Gabriel, there is always some sort of continuity error that inevitably pops up (mainly because I believe that he wants to be found out as much as he would hate to admit it). Loki though, he leaves no room for error.

Sure, Dean wasn't looking for any potential illusions when confronting Loki, so I can't necessarily argue that Loki has no continuity errors. That doesn't detract from the fact that, from what we saw, there wasn't anything until Dean tried to stab them.

Loki knows what he's doing. He's been doing it for centuries. I'm choosing to believe that he wouldn't be that sloppy with continuities, on purpose or not.

Supernatural

I was 11 when I first watched supernatural, huddled in front of a tv with my siblings. We’d gotten the first season from our local cd store. It was summers and the guy at the shop had recommended it to us. I remember we spent that entire summer binge watching as much of the show as we could, I think at the time the first 6 seasons had been released. While my siblings moved on to other shows once we caught up, I formed an obsession. Supernatural became the first real fandom I joined. I made a jensen ackles fan account, I watched every interview or convention panel available. I started reading fanfiction and looking for fanart. I would eagerly await every new season, I got every piece of mechandise I could get my hands on. It became one of the most prominent parts of my personality.

Even now, all this time later, although I stopped watching around season 12, it still lingers. Dean Winchester has remained one of my comfort characters, I still want to have a chevorlet impala, the 1967 model. And I never became obsessed with a show like that ever again. At least not to that degree.

A couple weeks ago I started rewatching the show, I don’t know what compelled me, I just got a new prime subscription and well, I saw it on there and it seemed like a sign.

To say that I am enjoying myself is an understatement. Almost a decade and a half later, once again I have been glued to the screen, although this time my laptop’s, all summer long. Spending every waking hour watching the Winchester brothers take on whatever is thrown at them, and some more that they seek out.

I have just finished season 5, which was meant to be the original ending, and so far I can totally understand why my preteen self went absolutely nuts for this show. The characters alone are just so well written. The storylines, the rollercoasters this whole plot takes us through. And then there’s the dialogue and the grim cinematography. I really could go on and on. It’s not perfect by any means, far from it, but it really is captivating. And really watching it now as an adult, I can appreciate some of the themes a lot more.

I know a lot of people says it’s downhill from here, I know I myself thought that past season 7 it’s not really worth much of a watch. But well I’m going to try to get through to the end this time.

An idea: Techno as a history major, ranting about how something is historically inaccurate to Phil, who is immortal archeologist but wasn't in the area of Techno's interest. He wonders what Techno would say about what Phil has experienced.

Not a prompt I guess, I'm just thinking about bonding through a shared interest in the past.

AUs where Phil is some flavor of immortal/eldritch being/supernatural creature and Techno is a random human and they still end up as besties are my favorites. Phil likes to listen to Techno ramble about his special interests (primarily Greek and Roman ancient history, with a focus on philosophy and literature). Techno appreciates Phil's little 'history facts' that Phil does tell as if they're personal anecdotes but maybe Phil just has an entertaining way of storytelling.

just had an idea for an au where Gerry drunkenly uploads a videos on yt (most likely the jurgen leitner rant because I love it too much to pass up on the opportunity) and it blows up because the true crime community finds him

and so he gets like a 100k subscribers overnight and everyone’s arguing in the comments whether he did it or not so given that he’s now semi famous on the internet he just starts uploading random shit

at first like some art stuff because why not, he doesn’t address questions about the trial besides saying all evidence became inadmissible and he’s a free man — those who believe he’s guilty will continue to do so no matter how many times he repeats he’s innocent, so he doesnt bother

after a while someone else on youtube, probably some true crime fan, makes a video about him, and its the first person who really gets deep into the leitner stuff — mostly it was made into a meme, since it was very obvious he was drunk, and obviously, supernatural side of leitner's library was very well hidden, but as it usually goes, it only really takes one person with too much free time, resources and influence to tip over the house of cursed cards (or books, in this scenario)

and of course, the internet goes wild

the grains of sugar thing is actual Fairy Lore in real life and its been transferred to many other supernatural creatures, such as vampires. which is why the count from sesame street counts things. i forget why i know this. anyway

supernatural spoilers i guess :

this show is So Stupid (affectionate)

like we have two guys hunting monsters. and also demons. that's the whole premise. werewolves, vampires, etc. salt everywhere. holy water that's actually lube. they mess around a lot because they're brothers. very silly

but then it gets even more weird, i guess. they die and go to hell and come back to life over and over again and now there's angels, the devil, heaven, purgatory, God, etc. i guess if you have hell those things also have to exist so it makes sense

but then there are some downright goofy things like the supernatural books existing in universe ?? the supernatural convention ?? all the trickster episodes ?? and i know later on there's the musical and the tv show thing and literally scoobynatural lmao

i just watched the episode with ufos that are actually fairies ?? and to defeat them you have to make them count grains of sugar or something ?? the writers really just wrote Anything and somehow made it work

this show is so incredibly Ridiculous and i love it So Much
