Ok but you know what my issue is with queen glory making rainwings take care of their dragonets is? The fact that they probably evolved this method of keeping the eggs in large groups with no specifc caretakers for many, many years and she's trying to reverse it in one dragon lifetime. Rainwings most likely have to mature early due to their hostile and potentially dangerous environment. Giving them specific caretakers also might not make them less independent over time, and less mature which would make the rainforest a even more dangerous place for an inexpirienced dragonet. She doesn't understand why rainwing dragonets are hatched in groups with no specific parents because she wasn't raised in one. Rainwings probably don't have specific parents because they learn from the accounts of other older dragons and use that as reference in their own life, instead of only having one account to go off of they determine themselves what accounts to use and which ones not to. And because of their likely faster maturity it wouldn't make sense to have a specific caretaker when they would fully mature in 3-4 years and would be independent enough to care for themselves possibly even younger. And yeah the rainwings aren't taking care of their eggs but that is a very easy fix, rather than assigning specific caretakers to each dragonet they could, you know, just make them actually take care of them?? I don't think having glory push her ideals upon the other well cultured dragons because she doesn't like them is extremely unnecessary and a bit egotistical. She should be able to learn about the tribe she's ruling and fugure out the traditions and reasons behind each one, and then figure out how to ethically go about changing their ingrained behavior because that's what a good queen does. That my issue with glory being queen, especially to two tribes. Because she has no experience with either of them, or at leat not enough to properly rule them. Not to mention she's barely just reached full adult hood. Just because she's fully mature doesn't mean she's an adult with experience. Not to mention she quite literally been living under a rock he whole life.

Finally finishing all these guys we’ve got charts and headcanons! (Long post)
Tumblr media
(Height)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Wingspan)
Tumblr media
(Body length & basic shapes I used) (it might be odd but ignore any detail on the back, the shapes are for general body shape)
Headcanons:
Seawings: - Colors range from red and purple to yellow - Aquatic is based off areas of bioluminescence rather than singular scales (because no one wants to draw all of those) - Although they average small compared to the other tribes, gigantism is more common - Wing bioluminescence gene is always present but for some doesn't show, thus aquatic doesn't utilize the wings
Rainwings: - Can change the texture of their scales alongside color - Weakest bite due to their fangs, probably why they're vegetarian - Mimic interesting behaviors - Have forked tongues
Mudwings: - Colors range from olive green to purple-ish red - Very resilient - Able to breathe fire regardless of body temperature, the heat of the flame depends on body temp - Their horns constantly grow and sometimes have to be cut due to dangerous growing patterns - Love gnawing on things, tough foods like jerky is popular - The horn covers of fallen siblings are harvested and turned into instruments to remember them by
Leafwings: - Colors range from gold to teal (and pink to olive green during cold seasons) - Can appear to have false eyes - Bug-like just like the other Pantalan residents (because they're just some weird outlier like what is going on here) - Leafspeak doesn't actually allow them to hear voices from plants but rather increase the sensitivity of their antennae which pick up on the changes in plants - In colder seasons, regions that have deciduous trees influence leafwings in that their scales change into warm tones similar to fallen leaves for camouflage but this also negatively impacts one's leafspeak ability; this doesn't apply to evergreen leafwings however
Hivewings: - Colors range from hot pink to olive green - Can appear to have false eyes - Have elbowed antennae just like their "cousins", Hymenoptera (wasps, bees, ants) - Tend to disregard personal space/get close out of habit, being close means better temp regulation and better communication - All hivewings have stingers, wrist stingers, and a venomous bite but it largely depends on preference of which they choose and like muscles, they can be exercised to become deadly weapons - They're not capable of "emitting a horrible stench"
Icewings: - Colors range from white to pale indigo - Melanism is still very rare but more likely in icewings - Can be iridescent in any color, especially visible in lighter scaled individuals - The scales on their face is very fine and is flushed with blood which darkens the area and allows them to see in the snow by absorbing light, otherwise the glare from the sun reflecting off would be a hinderance - Their wings are thin and thus have visible veins most of the time - Idk how to describe their scales other than its kinda like basalt formations - From the side they appear large but are actually thin and flexible - They can freeze to death if they've gone without cold for a long time and then reintroduced too quickly - In hybridization, they have dominant genes, partially because the animus gene - The extra mane of horns can appear randomly on the body in singular spikes, they also make a clink sound when they collide as if they're made of ice, making a pretty scary rattle when disturbed
Nightwings: - Colors range from orange to purple - Albinism is still very rare but more likely in nightwings - Dwarfism is more common - Teardrop scales are always present, highlighted when the dragon has powers regardless of type - Pitbull ready to bite kids - They CAN hang upside down as the books suggest but not for long - By taking dust baths, they dull their scales to reflect less light and blend in better in the dark - Have white fire but cant breathe for long due to how hot it is (this is mainly to add onto the mysterious factor of em and I always liked the idea) - Due to eye sensitivity, they hate sudden bright lights and will close their eyes as they breathe fire
Silkwings: - Can have black or dark accents but never as a whole body color unless they've hybridized - Wing shapes vary widely - Can appear to have false eyes - Flamesilk is rarer than one might think - Very flexible and have strong tails used as a sort of 5th limb in climbing - Albino or melanistic dragons still keep their iridescence - Silk is emitted through a spinneret on the chin rather than the wrists - Prefer to travel in pairs (instinct)
Sandwings: - Colors range from red to olive green - Dark patters often mimic a snake's - Horse-like in complexion - Alongside their snake-like appearance, they have pit organs - Tend to move like birds - Poor eyesight but good hearing - Their horns angle upwards sort of like a bull
Skywings: - Colors range from red to yellow (and green because skywings are meant to be your typical fire breathing dragon which is most often depicted to be red but can also be green) - Tend to move like birds - Weaker than they appear - Green skywings are incapable of being or having flamescales - Their horns constantly grow and have to be filed down - A flamescale cant melt rock or metal by touch alone, only via fire is it possible - It's not that they don't want flamescales that they kill them, it's more of a mercy killing because of how lonely their life can be

#7 - Rainwing chapter
Ah yes, the Rainwings, a.k.a. "the ones where my friends will disown me if I get them wrong". I ended up making some changes here; particularly with Coconut, who is depicted as green in the graphic novels but described as lavender in the books. I tried to do something with elements from both. This had a bit of a knock-on effect on Siamang, because having two purples in the set seemed a bit lame for a group that's supposed to be really vibrant and colorful, so I went a bit off-script there. This is the result; I hope it is palatable.
Also, that makes 36. 36 dragons.

I made a ref sheet for my self insert.
(Also the character with the red eyes is Connor, who is from my au where there are the hybrids (protogens, etc like things) work for a company like lethal company where they collect things to give to the company)
what the text says
Info:
(Edits)
-because they don’t arms like murder drones, (so) they have to find weapons to fight.
-Similar to MD they can take and put away their wings.
-because they are a self insert they are just my normal height 5,4
-the reason they wear boots is because (to) keeps their paws safe from getting cut from things, and also from the cold
-is chaotic neutral
-has a type of magic that kinda works similar to the solver without a curse thing Uzi and doll has.
-has two figures of void creatures named aworro and rivera, which with magic make their form change into their true form.
-tail has quills that has a type of venom that can cause things to disintegrate. And also has a special gland into the mouth that can secrete a type of acid that has a black void like appearance. Similar to rainwing in W.O.F the tail venom and acid spit thing can neutralize to stop the thing that has been hit by the venom or spit to stop dissolving. The venom and spit takes about an hour or less to fully dissolve something (it really depends on size)
-cat/fox/canine behaviors
-whiskers
-loves V

LeafWings
In my headcanon of WoF, LeafWings are small, lightweight arboreal dragons that resemble various different types of flora.
LeafWings are most typically green, and it is quite rare for a LeafWing to completely lack green in its palette; but they can come in a variety of colors naturally found in the jungle. This ranges from bright yellow, red, orange, pink, and even (rarely) purple or white. (The LeafWing pictured above is based on the Maple leaf.)
LeafWings' frills & wings are constantly growing in, and most LeafWings will cut them to suit their own style. Depending on which family they belong to, they might cut them to match their relatives according to their house; i.e House Monstera, or House Fig. Although, their colors are inherited and do not change at will.
When compared to other tribes, LeafWings are the second smallest. They're only slightly bigger than HiveWings in sheer bulk; but unlike most other tribes, they are bipedal, using their arms only for climbing and otherwise as necessary. Standing on two legs makes them appear taller than both HiveWings and SilkWings, but when crouched on all-fours, their true small size is very apparent.
LeafWings get some of their energy from the sun, by absorbing it through their leaf-like wings and metabolizing it similarly to RainWings; although after generations of hiding in a dense, dark jungle, they are not so adept at this anymore and prefer to hunt more often.
A unique behavior to LeafWings is getting extra nutrients from actual flora, by embedding the seeds of plants in between their scales and allowing them to grow. The plants' roots will seek out capillaries under the skin, and will give the dragon vital nutrients in exchange for the minerals and proteins in their blood. This part of LeafWing culture is what has kept them alive for so long; through famine and drought.
However, many older LeafWings have accidentally succumbed to injuries sustained by plants that were too large, and became more of a parasite than a cooperative guest. No matter where a LeafWing comes from, they will almost certainly know the list of plants you shouldn't host in your scales unless you WANT to be sucked dry. That is, of course, unless you have leafspeak abilities to convince those plants to do otherwise.
Thank you all for voting for LeafWings in my poll a while ago!! It was super fun getting to these guys :)

Since people really liked This post I made of my silly little ideas on how Peacemaker still has these little hints of Darkstalker in him, I decided, yeah, I'll throw out my other, more specific ones! Why not. I'm free
Peacemaker's a VERY charming little lad! At first to everyone else this was really cute, why, they just wanna gobble him up! He's such a big dork who always knows just the right things to say, it's probably why most dragonets get along with him so well! His mother isn't so thrilled, though. Her son is quite charming, isn't he? A little too purposeful with his words. A well-placed compliment, seemingly giving up on a subject he's now implanted into someones head, a casual comment that sounded too detailed to be thought of on the spot. He's never malicious (or, at least, nothing more than annoying when dealing with rather rude dragons), but it makes Hope paranoid to know that, well, they never truly erased Darkstalker's personality. That little dragon is still in there. And that boy could talk the very queen off her throne if he was just given enough time. He's not a big, stupid brute. He never was. And he knows it.
He's far from guilt-free. In fact he's usually the kid encouraging troublesome behavior. When he's little it's usually nothing more than stealing some extra strawberries or rallying a few RainWing dragonets to melt a wall so they could listen in on adult conversations Moon seemed to have a lot. But it gets a little concerning as he ages. Pushing dragons to use their abilities for whatever they wanted, because it was their powers, they should use it as they deem fit! He didn't get why older dragons scolded him when the new NightWings born under the moons kept reading everyones private thoughts or RainWings would sneak away for long periods of time who-knows-where after they got good at camouflage. He wasn't bothered by it, why should everyone else? It's not like it would turn them evil or anything.
He's very good with younger dragonets! When he was little it got him a lot of friends, and a way for the younger generations of RainWings and NightWings to connect, literally and metaphorically through their shared hybrid! When he was a little older, it made him a popular village babysitter, especially since he was really good with dragonets that had different or specific needs. He was particularly encouraging of the new NightWing dragonets being born with powers due to being under the moons again. Parents were relieved he wasn't weirded out or jealous, just quietly listening to them talk and offering advice they found oddly very helpful, even more than Moon's.
On that note, he was so excited when the SilkWings showed up! Sure, the new dragons were really weird, and he'd never seen ones without wings, but that was okay! Flying wasn't really needed in the rainforest, anyway, maybe they'd be even better! He was one of the first dragonets to openly walk up to the new kids, and he asked a lot of questions, but he was generally quite curious and super proud to boast about his home, friends, and, of course, himself. Eventually he got along with little LeafWings and HiveWings as well, particularly Bumblebee, although...he was rather twitchy when he heard about the HiveWings ancestor Clearsight, how she loved an old version of them, creating the tribe that is today. Odd.
The only thing dragons will consistently say is unnerving about him, aside from how many find him intimidating on size and shape from a distance, is his eyes. Nothing inherently odd about them, they just look like dark, silvery NightWing eyes. But everyone always swears theres something off about them. Like they were placed in the wrong head. Uncanny. Eyes, they say, that feel like they belonged on someone much older, and far sadder. Everyone in the rainforest says that, at least. If you asked that IceWing by the mountain Peacemaker and his friends picked berries from, she'd swear his eyes weren't sad. They were enraged. Compared only to the soldiers she fought in the War of the SandWing Succession, compacted together on the face of a young, smiling dragonet.

I don't get the end of THK. It doesn't feel like the capstone of Glory's arc. She spits on a leaf, wiped said spit on a child, and then became queen. What does that say about her character? That she's willing to believe in a random factoid she just learned about to save another life, which has the impossibly large chance of backfiring horribly and only endangering Kinkajou and killing her further.
And when it does work, Grandeur is impressed enough to give her the throne??? Huh??? Like, I get RainWings politics are nonsense, but also like...what about Glory endangering Kinkajou's life for the 0.1% chance she's royal blood? It would've been safer just to scrape it off, plus it would also highlight Glory's bravery and self-sacraficing nature. Her scarring herself to save Kinkajou is a better display of queen-like behavior than like...putting blind faith into the dumb venom thing.

Since you like wings of Fire can I have a request featuring Yuu reading malleus the wings of Fire book series a “bedtime story” because…well…dragons and all?(rest of diasomnia can be part of the request if you want)
When I saw this, I KNEW I had to do it!!!
Diasomnia React to WoF w/ Y/n:
Fandom: Wings of Fire & Twisted Wonderland
TW: Spoilers for WoF yall
Malleus:
When Yuu first introduced the series, Malleus was intrigued to say the least
Let’s just say his favorite was Starflight
I mean- think about it..
Malleus entirely enjoyed the series and wished to know mores
He even asked if there was any gargoyles
“What are these…scavengers..Child of Man?”
“Oh! They’re humans, Tsunotarou!”
let’s say he was quite surprised by this choice of words, though he could see the reasonings behind the name
Yuu would absolutely ramble out theories while Malleus will add in with it
They will be in the library, giggling as they read the books
If Malleus was able to be in Yuu world to see the author, expect him to full on have all the merchandise
Malleus will absolutely be fascinated by Darkstalker: The Legend
Will definitely refer to Yuu as Clearsight at random times
Yuu would call Malleus Darkstalker in return
It would be funny and comical as everyone tried to figure why they call eachother such strange names
They will absolutely try to call the other students different names from the series
“Ah, it seems Sunny (Kalim) is bothering Glory (Leona) again Tsunatorou.”
“Indeed Clearsight, here comes Professor Kestral (Trein).”
Let’s say, everyone is confused at these strange nicknames
Even Floyd was tiny bit nervous as he was the one with the suspicious nicknames
“Koebi-chan, why am I called Whirlpool?”
“It is due to you being quite sadistic and slippery Whirlpool.”
Yuu snorted at Malleus random appearance and answer
Let’s say Malleus and Yuu ran quickly from a angry..slippery eel (if you know, you know)
Either way, you both will have fun
Lilia:
Lilia is amused by such silly concepts as he calls it (it be a silly concept when I-)
He enjoys it as mere fairytales, but that what he thought when he read the prophecy of the first arc
He would immediately latch onto the book series
As the cultures, history, and mystery of playing detective got him
Lilia will immediately stamp Queen Scarlet as point of interest
“Fufufu~! I’ve never thought that Queen Scarlet would be this enthusiastic about colosseum battles.”
His favorite would definitely be Blister. A wicked mastermind? Absolutely.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Lilia starts to be huffy over her death
He would list the reasons why she should be queen
He gonna be all over Queen Diamond and Queen Wasp
Yuu will be willing to share some theories as Lilia would just debunk each one
Definitely will create his own tribe at some point (I mean—we all done that at point)
Silver:
Silver will snooze it through
It’s confirmed that Malleus and Yuu will nickname him Coconut (I’m not even joking)
Silver won’t be interested much in the first arc, but he will definitely will be in the second arc
I mean, he gonna be interested there was a strange voice turning out to be Darkstalker, a magic scroll of animus magic, and even more knightly behavior from Qibli and Winter
His favorite gonna be Winter
Cold face (even though it’s their normal face), stiff, and somehow have a connections to animals (humans-), and a possibility of Silver being Auror-
Yeah, you get the point
Though our sleepy boi is always sleeping, he is vigilant
He definitely will be invested enough to put in little facts for theories with Yuu and the others
Expect him to snore at the boring parts of the books
Definitely will read the epilogue of each book for new details
He will not take kindly at Lilia idea of having sleeping darts made for research purposes (Sebek RUN)
Will have a hammock and whenever he naps, Malleus and Lilia will deem it Suntime
Most likely will have a RainWings persona from Lilia accordingly
Sebek
Sebek you can’t just tell profanities at 4:35 a.m cause of some event happen in the books
No Sebek, you can’t throw the Dragonslayer book into the furnace
Sebek will definitely not be happy over the dragonslayer book at all
Sebek is now called Tsunami
He will absolutely hold the nickname dear to him as it was given by Malleus out of amusement
Sebek is gonna yell at Silver to wake up and not be a literal RainWings
NRC is now baffled and confused at these weird and outworldly remarks
Will definitely be kept quiet so he doesn’t yell during theory time
That is now a thing
A/N: I’m so sorry anon! It took so long as I was busy and etc..I hope you enjoyed this!!! Feel free to ask for more ask! ^^

Do any dragons have close friendships with other species of animals?
It depends on their personality, but some do have almost symbiotic relations! RainWings are commonly seen with sloths, seemingly protecting them when they reach the ground, and some dragons among other tribes have shown affectionate behavior towards other animals. Turtle seems quite interested in octopi, for example, and Winter is just obsessed with us humans! Especially Winston.

Why Peacemaker Was a Bad Idea
Now, the title might seem a little odd, as I do not excuse Darkstalker nor think that he deserved a "better" ending than his fate with Peacemaker. And Peacemaker has everything he could want in life, right? He has family and friends who love him, a peaceful life in the Rainforest, and even an insatiable love for fruit, something that many parents long for their kids to have. Yet he still deserves better. He deserves family and friends who truly care for him and to not potentially become burdened with Darkstalker's past, like any other dragonet deserved.
But, of course, you might be thinking, "Well, Peacemaker's family and friends really do care for them!" However, both Kinkajou and Foeslayer are shown to treat Peacemaker poorly. In Darkness of Dragons (page 354), Kinkajou states that she made Peacemaker part RainWing because she "thought that would be good for him." While being part RainWing may have seemed innocuous, anti-hybrid sentiments are incredibly common among dragons, especially the NightWings. Peacemaker was all too likely to be targeted by other NightWings for being the dragonet of a RainWing, whether or not this was actually true. Kinkajou knew this, as shown by her quote, yet she still decided to make him an obvious hybrid. She is willing to take her grudge against Darkstalker out on an innocent dragonet who did nothing wrong simply because she views him as Darkstalker. This is not caring behavior. She is harming a dragonet that she magiked into existance to get back at someone who he was intended to be different from.
At the same time, Kinkajou is just one dragon. How much harm can she really do, right? Perhaps she could not do much harm on her own, but Peacemaker's very own mother is shown to continue this pattern of poor treatment. Although we do not see much about her parenting Peacemaker, she is shown to be a poor mother to Darkstalker and Whiteout in Darkstalker: Legends. In Chapter Five, she is shown to be fighting with Arctic, despite that one of her dragonets, Whiteout, was huddling near the fireplace with her talons over her head for the duration of the fight. Yet she made minimal efforts to hide her fights from her dragonets, considering that they were clearly audible from the living room. If she'd truly cared about Whiteout's well-being, then she would've brought her fight outside, no matter what the neighbors may think. And, even though Arctic had threatened to kill their dragonets, she still was willing to leave them with only him for days at a time while she was on military expeditions. If she was a responsible parent, she would have hired a babysitter, which she could've certainly afforded considering her status and wealth.
Her behavior in Chapter Five also highlights her more subtle, but noticable preferences between her children. After her fight, she "moved a piece of hawk from her plate onto Darkstalker's, then another piece onto Arctic's (page 51)," as her apology to the two of them. However, she does not do the same for Whiteout, the dragonet who was in obvious distress throughout the duration of their fight. Darkstalker has to move a piece from his father's plate to his sister's, since her mother did not acknowledge the impact the fight had on her. Throughout the book, there are more examples of her continuing to favor Darkstalker and putting others' wants and expectations over her dragonets' well-being, such as when she decides that she's "ready to give all her love to Darkstalker, her perfect thrice-moonborn dragonet (page 16)," as opposed to Whiteout or when she refuses to even let Darkstalker decide if he wants to tell a highly manipulative queen about his magic. It is obvious that Foeslayer does not prioritize her childrens' well-being highly, as shown by her blatant favoritism, prioritization of social status over her children, and willingness to enable Arctic's abuse. She does not deserve to have Peacemaker as her "do-over" child, and Peacemaker deserves to have a more caring, proactive mother than her.
This situation is made to be even more challenging by that everyone involved with raising Peacemaker know about Darkstalker's relationship to Peacemaker. Many of these dragons still view Peacemaker as Darkstalker in some respects. Obviously, Kinkajou holds some of these views, as she made Peacemaker into a Night/Rain hybrid as a form of revenge against him. Additionally, Moonwatcher states that she "kept expecting to find hints of Darkstalker in him (DoD, page 362)" whenever she came to visit him. As a result, Peacemaker will likely be dragged down when he notices this sort of behavior from his friends, despite never knowing or remembering what he did wrong. It is incredibly hard to keep a grudge or suspicion from a dragonet throughout his whole childhood, no matter how much his friends try to hide it.
But Peacemaker's situation will get even worse if he finds out that he was previously Darkstalker. And, unfortunately for him, there are numerous clues that could alert him to Darkstalker's demise. One of the largest clues was that Tui did not describe any physical changes to Peacemaker except for that he became younger and a Night-Rain hybrid. Despite the emphasis on those details, no other changes were even briefly mentioned. This implies that he most likely had a heavily similar appearance to Darkstalker, which could be catastrophic for him if he or someone else made the connection. Additionally, Peacemaker has to be prohibited from wearing Qibli's earring, which is a problem in itself. If he starts to question why he isn't allowed to wear it, it could result in him figuring out that he's being kept alive by a Darkstalker spell and/or dying after someone tells him to wear it. Lastly, he will remember his friends talking about his "history being different (DoD, page 355)" in front of him. Dragonets are shown to have memories from the day they were born, including Darkstalker, so it is all too likely that Peacemaker will remember what was said, especially since he already had the capacity for understanding language.
And if Peacemaker found out he was Darkstalker, he would likely be sent into deep self-hate due to his prior treatment by his friends. He would finally have an answer to his questions about why it felt like his friends hated him: he used to be a mass murderer and his friends viewed him as irredeemable. Or, worse, he could go the opposite direction of rejecting those who had shunned him by travelling Darkstalker's path. Although Peacemaker does not have powers, he could easily re-obtain them by tricking Mightyclaws into drawing Darkstalker's scroll. And with animus magic, he could have hurt the entire continent on a quest for revenge. Either way would be incredibly harmful to his well-being, and he does not deserve to have such a burden potentially placed onto him.
Although Peacemaker is an interesting storytelling concept, it was very immoral for the Jade Winglet to turn Darkstalker into Peacemaker, rather than simply killing him or designing a more permanent prison. He does not deserve to be mistreated by the dragons who are supposed to love and protect him nor the potential burden from discovering that he was previously Darkstalker.
Oh and, completely unrelated, but Darkstalker is on the asexual and aromantic spectrum as a demisexual and reciprosexual, not because he's a jerk, but because he only falls in love with Clearsight after they start dating and there's very few timelines where he falls in love with someone else. Clearsight's also bisexual and had a crush on Listener, and Fathom is a sex-neutral asexual heteromantic.

Galaxy Headcanons (technically canon cause she's my silly little self-insert but yeh)
Galaxy's dragon side has a protective trigger. She gets more aggressive, has less control, and is more violent when it happens. Her pupils also become more slitted. She only does this when she's MEGA angry. It's most often when someone close to her or someone she cares about is close to being killed, and dragon protective instincts kick in. She once bit someone's finger off. She doesn't regret it, however.
Her bite force is 1200 PSI (pounds per square inch)
Galaxy is Aroace.
Going in tandem with the last one, she hates it when people flirt with her, even if it may be a joke. She wants to merge with the floor when that happens. (And FSM forbid someone try and actually win her over)
She's also Nerodivergent (Autistic). She also straight up VIBES with other Nerodivergent people LMAOO.
In her dragon form, she's even more sensitive to large crowds and loud overlapping noise. She's also more sensitive to smell.
She's sensitive to the cold.
17 y/o
Galaxy (in her dragon form) can see in the dark easier, hear sounds easier and more accurately, and has no need for glasses.
Her dragon form is actually half mammal, half reptile, and she's warm blooded.
Her preferred time of day is evening/night. She's a night owl.
She's got a lot of cat like behaviors. She can hiss, and she prefers warmth and sunlight, and likes high perches.
Galaxy's wings are actually quite thick. (Not like a traditional thin wing membrane that rips easily) If her wings get scratched, her wings won't rip unless it's a super deep wound or extensive damage to the wing. And even then, it should be able to heal, depending on how much damage was inflicted.
Her canine teeth are also the same length as a Bengal; about 2 inches.
Galaxy's tail is prehensile. She can use it to grab things, hang on things like a bat, and she's really good at playing with soccer balls and such with her tail. (Very similar to Rainwings from WoF)
Despite the whole "dragons hoarding things" being a stereotype, it can be true depending on the dragon, and it's not usually gold. Galaxy does hoard things like trinkets she receives from other people she meets, books, ect, although, she tries to deny it. Her being Autistic and hyperficating on things certainty doesn't help this claim.
Galaxy's ears are quite expressive. They fold back when she gets angry or upset, even for a brief moment. Her ears will perk if she hears something, and her ears will sometimes flick periodically.
Galaxy is 600+ LBs in dragon form, and 140 in human form
Her talons are good for climbing, hunting, grabbing, snagging, sneaking, ect.)
Her scales are, yes, tougher than skin, but are still skin-like, more like snake scales. (so no super powerful ceretin scales like with D&D, Dragon Prince, ect.) (so basically, she can still get regular cuts and scratches and gashes, but they either don't go as deep as they would have as a human, or they don't cut as well through that type of skin.
Galaxy has retractable claws, so can hide them whenever.
Too many AUs go brrrr™
Looks like a cinnamon roll, is a cinnamon roll, can kill you.
Consistently losing braincells.
One of her favorite hobbies is art. She likes digital art, painting, drawing, ect.
Favorite color is purple.
Her favorite gemstone is Amethyst.
She can hold her breath for slightly longer due to her lungs being larger for flight.
Her bite can be very dangerous, but she rarely uses her full strength. Like, really rarely.
Her abilities consist of: her Dragonshifter abilities, shields, blasts, telekinesis (purple aura surrounds object MLP style), and various little spells. She's a mage, so she can do anything that her skill level allows as long as she knows how. (Mage magic cannot heal wounds, and there is an energy limit and skill/control limit, depending on the users experience. "Spells" aren't like written "sorcery spells" (think Clouse from Ninjago) and more like mentally driven ones (think MLP).
Galaxy's magic is purple colored.
Her satchel is "enchanted" with anti theft and an anti wear and tear spell she invented herself.
Galaxy didn't know any other dragons like her, much less mages. She's had to teach herself how to fly, use her magic, and make her spells on her own. This is why she's very good at inventing and coming up with new and more efficient uses for her magic.
Despite teaching herself, she's actually a VERY good flyer. She practices all the time.
Father issues go brrr
Galaxy is an omnivore. She has both flat teeth and sharp teeth.
Her phobias consist of arachnophobia, Algophobia, Atychiphobia, Erotophobia, Gamophobia, Lockiophobia, Tokophobia. She also has a fear of losing those closest to her.
Galaxy has a scar on her forearm, one on her tail, one on her side, and one on her shoulder.
Galaxy rarely ever gets pissed. Sure, she gets annoyed and frustrated, and of course she has her snappy, snarky moments, but never actually intense long anger. But when she does, she's absolutely livid. And she normally has good reason to. She does feel slightly guilty about it though, considering she's supposed to be a "hero". Only two villains have actually made her mad enough to want to kill them.
When in Minecraft like worlds, she's confused with the Ender Dragon a LOT.
She is learning how to read and write in Ninjargon, and she is learning Swedish.
When she's nervous or anxious, she tends to tap her claws on the ground, or her tail will flick irritably.
"I DO NOT want to be eaten by a giant, CARNIVOROUS TREE!"
"Wait, did you say (insert special interest)? OHMYGOSH-" *starts infodumping*
"Stop trying to get yourself killed!" (Concerned mom friend mode)
"Ah yes, because It's not like people have tried killing me before. Go ahead, I'm sure you'll kill me."
Someone: "I'm in love with you." Galaxy: *laughs nervously* Please no, please no, dear FSM no...
Someone: *flirts with Galaxy* Galaxy: *bats their face like a cat* "No."
There's all the Headcanons I have for now. I'll probably end up making a part 2 if I think of more. and knowing me I probably will sjsjhxhzjz. Anyway, here's a Galaxy Amogus. Sorry not sorry

Note
It was also not a repeated trauma she endured throughout most of her childhood, it was a singular, absolutely terrible event that happened to her but which she had a support system coming out of in the form of Glory. I am not trying to diminish Kinkajou's trauma but the fact that she had anyone to support her through the worst events of her life makes it a ton more logical that her personality would be less effected by it than the rest of her winglet, who all experienced traumas like abuse or neglect that was on-going and largely for the ENTIRETY of their lives up to the point of attending Jade Mountain.
I partially agree with this; what Kinkajou experienced was a single event and not a lifetime of abuse or neglect so it is different from what most of the Jade Winglet, or the DOD, experienced, and yes she had some support system, but she also very much did not have the support system she should have had, and it does come through in her characterization.
The core of Kinkajou's trauma isn't "I was kidnapped and tortured for weeks," it's "I was kidnapped and tortured for weeks and nobody in my life even cared enough to look for me." She directly calls Coconut out to his face for it, saying "Well, I thought he was my best friend," even though she was still trying to be upbeat about it, and what bothered her about being assigned a Nightwing cavemate wasn't so much the thing itself but that nobody checked that she was okay with it. Also while it's not like she talks about it all the time she was pretty quick to bring it up to Carnelian.
What Kinkajou does talk about all the time is how close she is to Glory, and to a lesser extent the other DOD, she's constantly trying to tell other dragons about how she's practically best friends with Glory. I've gotta confess that going through Arc 2 the first time I thought it was just attention-seeking and wanting her peers to think she's cool by association, but I'm rereading Moon Rising right now and I noticed that actually the way Kinkajou talks about Glory is really similar to how Qibli talks about Thorn and a little similar to how Peril talks about Clay although Peril's got so much else going on.
I think Kinkajou has a bit of the same hero-worship complex that Qibli and Peril have (and IMO Carnelian too but that's just speculation since Carnelian's backstory was never explored) where she's kind of latched onto Glory because Glory was the only dragon in the tribe who took the initiative to try to save her. It also seems like her trust in most of the other Rainwings was probably damaged by them leaving her for dead, and I think some of her attention-seeking behavior could be because of underlying insecurity about being ignored and invisible. This is almost entirely speculation but I think Kinkajou's kind of the opposite of Turtle: her deepest fear is that dragons she thought cared about her could just forget about her.
I truly don't like how people talk about Kinkajou on the internet like her not being irreparably damaged by her trauma forever makes her "uninteresting" or a badly written character. Being cheery and optimistic in the face of strife, despite clearly holding a self-awareness about her previous trauma as shown in how she thinks during Moon Rising, is what MAKES her interesting. I think sometimes people forget that not seeing a POV of a character does not immediately erase the internal logic that their character functions by. It's like when people claim Clay gets flanderized post Book 1-He doesn't, nothing about his writing changes, your perspective of him is just inherently limited because you are reading about what Other Characters Think of Him. It's the strongest element of Tui's characterization in her POVs but I think it leads to a lot of misjudgement about characters books outside of their own. Even though we aren't getting a Kinkajou book, I'd love one just so I could stop feeling crazy about already thinking she's a fully three-dimensional character while everyone else seems to think she's flat as a piece of cardboard.

~The Cursed Isles~
Thousands of years ago, an animus known as Ravage, enchanted the ancient continent to split into a collection of multiple isles. Over the years the seven tribes have settled into their new, though now normal, home. The seven main islands for each seven tribe are:
Scolaria: A lavish, beautiful, lush jungle inhabited by the rainwings. The rainwings still live in huts but also live in suspended homes connected securely to trees, some live on the ground of the jungle, and some even live in shallow cave systems
Ravelania: A seemingly dead, dark island inhabited by the nightwings. To those on the outside, the island is gross and dead, most of the plants and even dirt are shades of black and deep dark browns and greens. More so unsavory colors. However, to the nightwings it is a beautiful island for in some places the plants are beautifully bioluminescent and glow stunning colors once the sun sets. There’s also stunning lush cave systems, which also often house nightwings, and multiple above ground “caves” which are more so hollowed out cave homes in the sides of an old volcano(now dormant), acting as a natural heater for the colder seasons
Gaieartha: An island covered in Everglades, inhabited by the Mudwings. The Everglades are often very beautiful but not very favorable to those who dislike Everglades.
Borionea: An island found more north, being an arctic tundra. This island is inhabited by the icewings. The icewings guard their island fiercely, liking to keep their frosty lands to themselves
Zepharia Isles: A collection of floating islands, the main biggest one in the middle being the main island most royals and higher class skywings live on(obvi these islands are inhabited by the skywings). The smaller islands clustered around the main island are more for small villages and lower class skywings, though the closer to the main island the higher class the skywing likely is.
Dykuma: A land filled with dunes and mesas, the occasional oasis scattered about, usually surrounded by small villages. The castle is located next to the biggest oasis, the actual water located in the middle of the densely populated and intensely guarded small city surrounding the castle. This island is inhabited by the sandwings.
Kaiamphirite Reef: A cluster of small to medium Sandy islands surrounded by a large and beautiful coral reef. This territory is inhabited by the seawings. They have one castle on a medium-large island and they have another castle under the water in the deeper parts of the coral reef. Villages and trading posts scatter the islands as well as the coral reef. The seawings also have above water villages, houses having posts suspending the huts just above the water.
(This AU is a work in progress and does NOT have any relation to the canon book series events, meaning darkstalker, pantala, etc. never happened in this AU. A map of the Cursed Isles is coming soon and more info on it, including but not limited too tribe customs and behaviors, currency explanation, trading, more royals, and more!)
Note: This is an AU made by myself and I would appreciate if you didn’t copy the main things in this!
