Currently running an interest check for physical copies of the Shinra Photo Book - the project I've been chipping at on and off for about eight years. After all that time, it's finally ready.

Hot take: it's fucking idiotic to call someone who is just calmly trying to explain their actions or emotions 'rude'. It's ESPECIALLY idiotic to say that to a small child. You'll end up turning them into a fucking doormat unable to speak up for themselves (me)

Kids can't properly control tone yet. I ESPECIALLY couldn't due to autism. So to hold a kids tone to the importance of the tone of an actor on set to get the correct feel is completely idiotic. And some teen girls literally *just sound like that*. They aren't "being rude" that's just what her voice sounds like. They aren't "making excuses" they are genuinely trying to fucking communicate their reasons so that an understanding can be reached. This shit is why EVERYONE SUCKS AT COMMUNICATING AND WE NEED TO FUCKING STOP DISCOURAGING HONEST AND OPEN COMMUNICATION

Most kids are innately honest until they are taught to lie by society or their parents. By making them FEAR honesty. By punishing them for communicating you are teaching them to lie. You are making lieing feel like the safest option even when you punish for lies. Because at least with the lie there's a chance of no punishment, but with the truth you'll 100% get punished.

"¡No hagas eso que me da más asco a mí!" reclamó en la voz graciosa de quien sostiene su nariz con pinzas, justo en el momento en que una arcada se le contagió. Ni siquiera se podía tapar la boca, o respirar a través de ella. Sentía como que algo se le fuera a meter.

La rata salió corriendo, y ella alzó el palo como si fuera a ir donde ella. Claramente el bicho tenía otros planes. Lo que a ella le causaba curiosidad era el puto olor a mierda. ¿Qué sería?

Pero no llegó a distinguir la figura aparentemente amorfa que descansaba en ese rincón que divisó por menos de un segundo, con un ejército de moscas revoloteándole. Arien se lo impidió al arrastrarla fuera de allí. Y la verdad es que no estaba en posición de batallar, así que solo se dejó llevar.

"Si algo quedaba de nuestro vínculo especial, lo acabas de asesinar. ¡Estaba ahí la cosa olorosa, a unos cuantos metros!" protestó, señalando al interior del establo de nueva cuenta, como si de verdad hubiera querido verla. No era más que morbo. "Me lo dices como si hubiera elegido el olor a mierda a propósito. ¡El olor me eligió a mí! Yo solo vine presa de mi insaciable curiosidad," se justificó con lo que era poco menos que una mentira, emprendiendo rumbo para rodear la estructura y ver qué se podía encontrar allí. Pretendía llevar a Arien con ella, así que no intentó soltarse de su agarre.

Lo que sentía se describía mejor como insaciable aburrimiento. Inhaló con ganas el aire limpio del ambiente, llenando sus pulmones.

"¿Te imaginas que de la cabaña salga un viejo con un rifle o algo a amenazarnos que salgamos de su propiedad? Pero ya estoy dudando de que encontremos algo útil. A menos que encuentres útil el heno," señaló el heno suelto del suelo. "O... un balde de metal," e hizo lo mismo con ese objeto, apuntándolo con el índice. Al final, fue hasta ahí para ver si tenía algo dentro y no había nada más que agua estancada. Se veían los bordes verdosos y algunas cosas flotando. "Podría servir para llevar algo, pero no sé. Pensaba mejor en unas riendas para hacerte mi esclavo," bromeó.

A ella la tos la atacó dentro del establo. Una mezcla de las partículas que volaban dentro, los olores, y el propio desastre que ella había iniciado se le metió por la fosas nasales y le secó la garganta. El asco que le dio lo hizo bien vocal.

"¿Es que acaso algo se murió aquí dentro?" se quejó, a sabiendas que Arien le seguía antes de que abriera la boca. Se cubrió la nariz, volteándose a verlo. "No conoces a mi abogado, seguro me sacaría de esta con un acuerdo."

Desde que llegó a Safe Haven, pensaba demasiado en su abogado. Debió tomarse eso como una señal.

"No, no creo. ¿Quieres intentar asustarme? Tendrás que intentarlo más duro, Vaughn." Lo señaló con el palo, justo en el momento en que, desde una de las pesebreras más alejadas, se percibe un ruido.

Chilli se volte�� al instante, deteniendo sus pasos, intentando descifrar qué era eso que había decidido acompañarles. Si es que había algo.

"¿Algo como qué?" dijo tras un momento, fingiendo que el ruido no la ha puesto tensa aunque fuera por un segundo. "¿Sarna?" Lo miró.

The U.S. Cities with The Rudest Residents in 2024

In this study, we surveyed Americans across the country once again to determine if rudeness levels have changed since 2022 when our first study was published. Similar to the original study, we asked a variety of questions regarding the rude behaviors Americans witness in their city. We included everything from residents’ politeness toward strangers and servers to inconsiderate usage of phones in public and more. We then applied scores to responses that indicated a higher frequency of rudeness and calculated the average score for each city. We then adjusted those scores on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 representing the rudest.
