idk if this has been said but while Niall had been setting good examples until recently, he's also rich and has undoubtedly more access to testing than the average person. he has a lot of privilege and that translates directly to health and safety during a pandemic that we can't relate to. I think that influences how he feels about being out in crowds now, along with the way ppl are just... giving up. idk. it sucks to see.

that’s very true!! he’s definitely privileged and slightly (or more than slightly) detached from the reality that most of us are facing, which probably affects the way he operates within the world in ways that we can’t understand or relate to. it DOES still suck to see as a fan of his though, since he’s been doing so much to set a good example and advocate for everyone doing their part up until recently, yet now, when so many people are already getting bored and tired of lockdown and ready to get back to life as normal, we’re seeing him seemingly buy into and propagate the idea that lockdown is over and people are free to do as they please again.

and i think another part of what makes it suck so much bressie hit on in this tweet? 

niall’s entire album launch and tour were fucked over by the virus. so many in his industry (including his own band members!!) are being forced into seconds jobs and finding different ways to make ends meet since touring is completely impossible right now and in the foreseeable future. i know that niall is insulated in a way many in the industry aren’t so it’s not necessarily a pressing matter to him in the way it is for a lot of others, but once again it just highlights the selfishness, stupidity, and shortsightedness of the past couple days.

ANGEL!!! I feel so many love heart emojis for you!! but ESPECIALLY the sparkly ones, i love you! what a beautiful message to send ;___;

its a bit strange to be, but i am a bit overwhelmed by the idea of it! this great planet having completed an entire journey in my lifetime so far, and also that i just happen to discover so right in this moment!! it is SO big and i am SO small and if i were sitting on one of those rings i’d be back to where i started, when i started. it has traveled through all that space? while i was growing up and becoming myself? its so unaffected by me and me by it and yet i feel  strangely connected to it and also everything that isn’t my own limited perception of the world around me. nothing has changed but my awareness! and nothing will really change, it will keep orbiting and i’ll keep living but now i’ll always have this moment to reflect back on and remember that sometimes big and small things happen in sync even when we don’t know it!

i can definitely see the practical reason why you’d do that.

i did a little reaserch just now to see why we put the currency symbol first in english, and the going theory is that it’s to make forgery harder. like, someone can’t take a $420.69 check you wrote them and change it to $666420.69 as easily as they could if the symbol comes after...

man, all i know is that i am confusion and i don’t know when the reversed format picked up so much steam for english speakers.
