🍔Nä... kan inte sluta äta. Finns en anledning till att jag äter så mycket. Har inte snusat på 3 veckor, utan kört på nikotintuggummi istället. Får inte alls i mig lika mycket nikotin nu och det skapar väl extra cravings. Måste nog börja snusa igen innan jag ser ut som en sumobrottare... . 🍆Har tackat nej till två svullna killar till de senaste två dagarna... Den ena igår morse (han hade varit på rave och nyss hemkommen kl. 09...). Verkade vara en skön typ dock. Alla som tycker om rave är bäst. Men jag skulle sova, så det var inte aktuellt. Den andra killen skrev i förrgår och var kanske lite för ung. Också han var fyllekåt. Haha. Men som sagt... jag har lagt ner slampandet. Iaf tills jag också blir asfull och tappar kontrollen. Haha. Men eftersom ingen festar längre så lär det inte hände inom en snar framtid iaf.😂 . 🏃🏾‍♂️Friidrotts-VM i Doha pågår för fullt. För mig är friidrott den renaste formen av idrott. Den ultimata sporten där man tävlar om vilka som är starkaste, snabbaste, spänstigaste och mest uthålliga i världen. Det har bjudits på sinnessjuk bra tävlingar i Doha. Damernas stavhoppsfinal var helt galen. 17 tog sig till final (12 i vanligt fall), 14 damer klarade 4,70m (4,65m räckte till medalj förra VM!) och Angelica Bengtsson tog svensk rekord efter en bruten stav med 4,80m! Tyvärr räckte det bara till en 6:e plats. I alla andra VM som körts hade det räckt till medalj utom ett. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce... vilken Queen hon är!😍 Älskar trenden med mixstafetter. 4x400m mixed var riktigt rolig att titta på. Både simningen och skidskyttet har kört mixade lag med damer och herrar ett tag nu och det blir bara mer och mer populärt. När kommer detta till längdskidåkningen? Gillar inte riktigt att stora mästerskap hålls i länder där mänskliga rättigheter för alla inte är självklara. Qatar, Doha, Kina och Ryssland har kört stora mästerskap de senaste åren. Pengar, mutor och korruption har gett dessa stater mästerskapen. Smutsigt. . Ledig en och sen personalfest. Daniel 5

I have sung William Walton's Belshazzar's Feast but it has been a long time since I read it. I managed to do 7 verses from Daniel 5 about 3 days ago. I saw that it was taking me 20 to 30 minutes per verse. I had to investigate almost every word. It was slow going as I seeded the data so that the computer algorithms have more to deal with. Almost every guessed stem was wrong and I had largely excluded Daniel from my algorithms so no wonder the percentages guessed were low. To increase likely guesses, I have chosen to link to some of the equivalent Hebrew stems. But there are issues a plenty. There is very little in the Aramaic corpus so though the puzzle is smaller, the evidence is sparser. Aramaic is much like Hebrew as far as I can see. In fact, Hebrew uses the Aramaic square script. For info on this see Alef Through the Looking Glass, by Jonathan Orr-Stav. But though they seem to share many stems, a stem may have morphed to some other sense. For example, עבד is always related to service in Hebrew, but in Aramaic, it appears to be functioning like עשה, to make or to do. בר (bar) is son in Aramaic and corn in Hebrew (or ברר pure). This is just a plain difference. There is no need to suppose that son morphed to corn or vice versa, and what son is pure? A few examples will show some linguistic variation between the two tongues: knee is ברך in Hebrew and as if the letters got shuffled, is רכב in Aramaic. Iron is ברזל in Hebrew and פרזל in Aramaic. Another interesting change is from a ז to a ד as in gold, זהב and דהב. Many stems are identical or so close that I need not invent an Aramaic stem. Where I do, I am trying initially to keep the rule of no overlap so that the Aramaic chapters will sound a bit different even in English. It remains to be seen how possible this is. E.g. I eschewed majesty and chose grandeur for רבו, a stem only in Aramaic. I have not used grandeur anywhere else. Conjugation, construct also vary but many enclitic techniques are the same, though the grammatical letters in Aramaic have different uses: ה for his where Hebrew uses that letter for her. And Aramaic forms the definite with an א suffix where Hebrew forms it with an ה prefix. But in general the techniques of pattern recognition I am using seem to help me in both languages. Meaning and sense are attached to strings of sound in their usual mysterious ways. Story also has its thrust. These stories in Daniel are about authority (שׁלט). Daniel uses this word 24 times, Qohelet 9 times, Ezekiel, Esther and Ezra twice each, and any other book that uses it has it only once as far as I can see at present. I used various glosses for it, authority, faculty, dominate, and domineer, and escutcheon. I hope it didn't matter if I had indigestion or not that day. Choristers, I hope you don't mind being in the company of Belshazzar. No one knows what that word means. It is not necessarily concubines. And the Walton libretto requires "the cornet, flute, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music." I don't have any more poetry to do, (Eheu!) so I chose story as my respite from Torah. This chapter was at the bottom of my list! Daniel will pop up periodically as I work down the list.
