I am a solo indie dev trying to overcome my anxiety and actually let people know my game exists. It is a cute physics based game where you are the level.

#if you remember all of these you get a sticker #there was also this old flash game that I think was Japanese and its title translated to you are lucky #I could only find it once in a while so I don’t remember if I played it a lot but I wish I could have included it #those creatures were so stinking cute #I always fucked up the math mini game though because I can’t read it #another one I liked was this series of point and click games of a girl who lives with a bunch of ghosts? it was on gamershood.com #it doesn’t work anymore but I really liked playing it.and I really liked this point and click puzzle series that is a little obscure #I wanna draw that one next actually its so nostalgic #I’m surprised I don’t see more post talk abt eyezmaze games on here I feel like it’d be a hit #I drew a lot of inspiration from them and the funny creatures so they have a special place in my heart #i also wanted to draw elephant quest/elephant run.. actually the collection is on steam I wonder if I should get it and replay em #nostalgia #doodles #my art #myart

i really like the lock picking in Skyrim because it's an actual skill that i, the player, have gotten good at.

like, i have never put a single perk point into the lockpicking tree, but i can pick any lock in the game in ten picks or less because i have a system that i developed into a practiced skill i use on all the locks.

That may sound like a useless or broken game dynamic, but it's one of my favorite things in the game actually -- the locks in Skyrim are built a certain way, and i, as a player, have developed the skill to pick them based on experience, practice, and the development of a process.

i actually wish more things in more RPGs were like that.

#video games #i'd love to use little skill tests and stuff for table top games too #the little ball on a rope into the cup game or a rubix cube or one of those four move chess puzzles #even that game memory #you could use those kinds of skill attainable mini games in a ttrpg for things like lock picking / pick pocketing ...#even a dart board for arrows would be cool with difficulty ranging from just hit the board to center bullseye only #idk i think that could be cool

I don’t like driving because everything is like a puzzle or a mini game except the stakes are a very expensive minor mistake at best and life and death at worst

Ngl, I'm kind of done with all types of environmental puzzles in games.

Maybe I've been playing too many games who have them, but man, I'm so tired of them. To be fair, I never really loved puzzle-heavy games, even at the best of times. Puzzles are ok when they are simple and are not found on every corner or only tied to extra content.

I'm kind of tired of pushing blocks in place, so I can jump on them, or shooting the thingy to activate something else to unlock a path to another path.

I rather have combat challenges, interesting bosses or more quests with exploration and a cool story.
