Was thinking about why the fae would want to swap children or take humans to their realm and I've come to the conclusion that it's mostly about lying.
A human can tell you you're the most beautiful thing they've ever seen. Or make a less hurtful excuse for why they don't want to do something when theyre upset with you for something you can't control.
I imagine fae toddlers are just as insufferable as human toddlers with their questions and demands, but not being able to (harmlessly) lie and say things like "blue's clues went bed because she needs rest just like you" would be incredibly unpleasant.
I imagine the fae want good liars, and admire the human ability to lie. They want secretaries who can say their schedule's full, messengers who can deceive their enemies.
I think it would be really funny if one of the Fair Folk became fascinated with affirmations and decided the favor some mortal owed them was saying their morning affirmations for them because they can't.

Could Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream kill Macbeth?
Unfortunately, from what I could find, pretty much every classic folkloric interpretation of fairies/the fey doesn't specify how new members of the species come to be, and this extends to the fairies in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. I even looked into the supposed inspirations behind Puck specifically, and none of them clarify this either. This means that UBC and BPC are ambiguous and therefore off the table.
As for the Gender Clause, Puck doesn't seem to apply for it either, at least from the research I did on it; Puck is generally referred to with he/him pronouns both in and out of the play's text. If someone more knowledgeable on A Midsummer Night's Dream knows of a point where Puck is explicitly stated to not be a man (in context of gender, not species), or any information about Shakespeare's take on fairy reproduction, then that would be great.
For now, though, until any evidence surfaces saying otherwise, Puck will be categorized as not being able to kill Macbeth. He would most likely be able to get someone else who could to do it for him, though.
Sorry! Thank you for your submission!

what does puck even do with the people stuck in his barrow? does he actually need them to survive or is it just entertainment for him?
he also seems a lot more willfully malicious than other fae, or are his morals just so different from ours that it just appears that way?
sorry for all the questions im just fascinated by him
I cannot say
Well when taking Puck vs other fairies into account, you can't ever view them as typically unified or similar/dissimilar to one another. Every one is unique and should be taken as an individual. Puck is what Puck does. It is generally accepted, in-universe, that Puck and its servants are not actually unilaterally malicious (dangerous and untrustworthy yes, but not always wishing you harm... there are stories of a helpful Púca circulating in some regions) - a kind of 'treat with caution' character rather than a 'kill on sight' character. But that's just what the ranger handbook says.
