Women in psychological horror

There are two lines I want to discuss between Agatha and Rio that are exchanged during the first episode : " You don't have a heart" yes, I was kicking my feet in the rest with Rio's response. However this line is way more interesting. Because here, in the first episode already, Agatha refers to Nicholas' death. With just that we know she blames Rio for taking him into the afterlife. This is just enough. And at that episode, we don't know who Nicholas Scratch is. We only know of the rabbit. But we are given just enough to know why Agatha hates Rio (among over conflicted emotions, we hope) "Do you remember why you hate me ?" This. (This wrecks me). This means everything to me. Because it means Rio acknowledges Agatha's grieve, more than that, she doesn't blame her for it. This line is essentially why I believe we won't have a "It was my soon too" kind of line. Rio knows death better Agatha, her grieve over Nicholas, even though as heart-breaking as it was, was something she knew she would have to go through. That's why she accepts Agatha's anger and to me, probably, why she never went looking for her wife after her. She is Lady Death, she knows how this works, she knows anger is part of grief. But it also reflects on the fact she believes in her own guiltiness over their son passing. She believes she could have fight but she didn't. And that says something about what kind of partner Rio is and what kind of personality she shows to the persons she loves. Also this is a very important question - because Agatha's grief is visceral in her life, so much it's part of her life in Westview.
