I’m afraid not. Steam doesn’t have Android builds on their own site and Steam is not cool with keys for other sites being given out for Steam purchases, so you don’t get the Itch version from buying on Steam.

Hello! Sorry to bother you but, I had a question, if we buy the Game on itchio do we get steam keys or would we need to purchase it twice? 

You would have to buy it twice if you want it in both places, I’m sorry. To repeat myself a little, Steam doesn’t like the key trading thing. Itch may support giving keys for another site, but the reverse isn’t doable with Steam and Steam doesn’t even really want you to get a Steam key for buying somewhere else either. So we just don’t mess around with that.

It’s free! There’s a paid wedding DLC, but Step 4 itself is entirely unpaid.

It’s not, aha. Unfortunately, 2021 wasn’t easier than 2020 as we hoped so things are still slower than planned. It’ll come out late 2021 or early 2022.

I just wanted to ask if Derek would ever lose feelings for MC, like if they make the deal and then MC gets with Cove would he move on? and even if you don't, after "losing contact" would his feeling fade or would he still like MC? 

If you don’t really keep in touch with him and clearly move on with your life, Derek will too and he’ll be over it. But if you are still close as best as you can be, he’ll still think the MC is special. Though, he’ll always support your relationship with someone else if that’s what’ll make you happy.

Hello! Sorry if you've answered this before but: 'How's Lee related to us? Though which momma? And does she share our player-chosen last names? Also, do you know if Noelani took Pam's last name or did it happen the other way round? 

She’s related to Pamela and Pamela’s last name is the one they use, so the MC has the same last name as Lee.

Will we be able to choose which (they or he) we tend to call Qiu by more often, or will it randomly change depending on the moment? 

Qiu knows which pronoun they’re comfortable with at a time and you’ll call them what they’re happy with. And it doesn’t change between lines, it takes multiple scenes or even full Steps for it to switch. So for extended periods Qiu will be totally a guy or fully agender.

Will Step 4 of OL2 have moments?

It’ll be an epilogue like it is in OL1, so it won’t have a bunch of different Moments.

It isn’t based on one specific town you can go to, but there are a lot of little coastal towns in Cali that have a similar vibe!

You wouldn’t get the DLCs for backing there. The Patreon is for extra bonus content/early access, rather than being a storefront to purchase the normal DLCs. Rarely we give them out as a side gift, but it hardly happens and if what you want is the DLCs it’s best to ignore the Patreon and  buy keys for those directly from Itch or Steam. I’m sorry for the confusion.

I just played the game with the MC and Cove being best friends and omg it’s still so damn cute like the wholesomeness of it all is too much for my heart I swear ^.^  Now with that all said I was wondering can we still marry Cove? if we only love him as a friend like let’s say we’ve made deal with him similar to the one we can make with Derek because let’s real no one could compete with what the MC and Cove have even if they aren’t in love. 

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the friendship story! You can live with Cove, but you can’t marry him platonically. Cove has familial affection for the MC if they’re best-est friends. He wouldn’t think to marry someone he loves like family and even grew up with as though they truly were siblings.

Maybe you missed telling Cove you were in love with him even if you mentioned wanting to get married or you might’ve accidentally said earlier in the game that you don’t want to progress your relationship further with Cove. We haven’t removed them, so you can get the scene again. It’s just kind of easy to miss since there’s multiple requirements. You can read a little guide in the FAQ.

Technically, yes. We treat the non-romantic relationship options as truly non-romantic since we don’t want to bait and switch people. But there’s nothing wrong with headcanoning that Cove does have feelings developing for the MC even before the MC has.

Is there a way to make/allow Lee and Baxter to date?

No, they just don’t have enough time together.

No, she doesn’t. As for the other questions included, to be honest, I don’t have to explain/defend having romance options of different sizes. I’m sorry if you’re dealing with unhappiness that’s connected to body image, if that’s where the negative emotions are coming from, but even so I can’t meet you on that level and pretend it’s a problem that needs an answer. A girl who simply isn’t thin being a main love interest is just not an unreasonable concept. Also, Tamarack isn’t a lesbian. Yes, she can date a female MC, but that doesn’t undo her actual sexuality, so I’m not sure where that one part at the end was coming from.

Not really, haha. No matter how cool your MC is, they’re never gonna replace Qiu for the other kids around. So you can either partner up with him, follow him too, or not be a part of all that group politics stuff.

It’d depend on his age, personality, and your relationship with him! When he’s younger he’d probably be embarrassed, when he was grown he’d probably be more casual or happy about it.

Yeah, you can be crushing on Cove and date Baxter if you weren’t already dating Cove. You just can’t be truly in love with Cove and then switch to Baxter.

The focus will be on the wedding day itself. The topic of the honeymoon might come up a bit, but there won’t be any choosing of the exact location and such.

First, is there a set year in which OL:B&A takes place (ex: Step 1 being set in 2010 & Step 2 being set in 2016, etc.) or is it simply up to interpretation? Second, have you guys thought about doing a coming-of-age game where the MC has a tough home life or upbringing? (like one of their parents is an addict, a parent being transphobic whilst the player has the option to be trans, or having friends that are influencing them to do drugs, etc.) That's all! There is a set timeline!

Step 1: 2006 Step 2: 2011 Step 3: 2016 Step 4: 2021 

And we don’t currently plan on making a game like that. The Our Life series exists to be a safer environment for people to play around in and if we did do a brand new series that was harsher edged it’d be something more fantastical and/or plot-driven instead of a different type of modern day slice-of-life growing up story. I’m sorry.

i don’t know if you’ve already answered this, but do you have a guess on when phase 4 will come out? as well as ol2? i’m so excited for both of them, the inclusivity in this game is amazing, you guys should be really proud of it! 

Step 4 will be coming out very soon! OL2 is gonna take until 2023 to be anywhere near completion. But we might episodically release the Steps one at a time as they get done instead of waiting for three to be finished before launch like we did with the first game.

That’s nice of you to offer. He doesn’t have a Twitter, at least not one that’s public enough to be shared with me. And I’m afraid not. The issue is that the CGs take huge amounts of time rather than there not being a budget for it. He’s gotta make CGs for Step 4, the DLCs, and new character sprites, too. There isn’t space in the schedule for even more. Sorry for that.

If you wanted context: Death Note is about this one guy who finds a notebook that kills anyone who you write the name of in there. The guy eventually develops a God Complex and starts mass killing criminals and stuff. L is the one trying to find out who is killing all these people.

Me and my sister first joked about it because I couldn't remember how to translate a word about the way Cove was sitting, so I just did the pose, and it looked a lot like how L himself sits! Then we just snowballed from there, with more and more nonsense connections.

Whether it be as singles, on a new EP, the next album, etc? They're just damn good tracks pvrisofficial: I want them to come out SO BAD too haha. OldManMalekith: Hi Lynn! How did working with JT on Use Me differ from your previous experiences with producers? Everyone that I've seen or heard work with him puts it as a really positive experience, and he helps make great stuff! pvrisofficial: He is the BEST. He was very similar to Blake in the sense that he was incredibly nurturing and encouraging, dedicated to making sure it was 100% everything I wanted and always stood up for me if the label ever tried to change it. His production style is definitely different but its extremely diverse. It's a lot punchier and crisper and a bit more minimal than in the past but i think it almost makes things more impactful that way!

A big thing was anxiety which caused me to choke up a lot and tense my chords. Then when i was being coached, out of fear of damaging something we had to rebuild and start small and light which we think caused the chords/muscles to atrophy, which set it back further haha. I eventually went to another coach who then was able to take my "retrained" voice and then strengthen it up and rebuild it back to where it was before!

“You’re what?” The demonic doctor hissed as he practically threw Hoodie against a wall. He held the proxy up against the off-white plaster by his neck as he growled.

“I’m...I’m in love with her.” Hoodie repeated quietly. The man didn’t know how it had happened. They just brought Toby in one day for an injury and while Jack was patching him up, Hoodie had started talking with her. She was perfect in every way to him, and had easily captured his heart. He found himself coming in at random times with no real reason but to speak with her. Unfortunately, she was already taken. By the medic himself.

Hoodie had decided to bring it up to Jack neutrally, to see if they could problem-solve it together. He was rethinking that course of action now; he hadn’t expected the normally calm and collected doctor to lose his cool and get violent like this. 

“And why, exactly, are you telling me? You think she’d leave me for you?” the doctor snarled at him behind his blue mask. Despite said mask being expressionless, it felt to Hoodie as if he could practically see Jack’s rage through it...along with something else. Something a bit more...desperate.

“No,” Hoodie answered honestly. “But you’re worried it might happen, aren’t you?” he spoke quietly, looking into Jack’s eye sockets bravely as he spoke. The medic growled, low in his throat, but didn’t dispute the proxy’s assumption. Truth be told, he was worried about it. He didn’t know how she had fallen for him in the first place, and now that there was another man willing to cherish her as he did, a man that wasn’t an inhuman monster? 

Yes, Eyeless Jack was very worried about losing his mate. He let out an angry sound that was a cross between a whine and a sigh as he dropped Hoodie back on his feet. The proxy looked at him and swallowed the slight feeling of fear that crept up his throat at the demon’s silence.

“I...I don’t want to take her from you. That’s why I’m telling you, not her. I don’t know what to do about it, and I wanted some advice.” the proxy told him.

“Stay away,” Jack replied. “Don’t come back here unless you need medical treatment.” The demon didn’t mean it as a threat; he just didn’t know what else would work. Hoodie certainly took it as a threat, though. He nodded slowly, and made his way out of building 1609 without another word.

Toby had been desperately in love with his partner for ages. He had been excited beyond words when they had agreed to leave their old life behind and join him and the other proxies in their cabin in the woods. Toby and his love had shared a room, naturally, and were very happy together. They didn’t have so much as a single argument...until now. 

“I th-thought you loved m-me,” Toby whined, hurt clearly showing in the depths of his amber eyes. 

“I do love you!” they responded, equally hurt. Masky stood awkwardly in the corner of the room, his own eyes full of guilt and cast down to the floor. This was his fault. He didn’t mean to cause drama, it just slipped out. He couldn’t believe those three simple words could cause so much pain.

“Then why d-do you h-have feelings for h-him?” Toby continued, gesturing toward the masked man, who tried to further avert his gaze. He wished he could just shrink into the corner and disappear right about now.

“I don’t have feelings for him, Toby!” they responded, eyes full of tears as they approached the man slowly. Masky felt his heart break a little at that, but there was nothing he could do about it...except try and undo some of the damage he’d caused between the lovers.

“Toby,” he caught his partner’s attention, “I told them that I loved them. That’s all that happened before you walked in. There was nothing else, nothing else has happened between us behind your back. They’re telling the truth...I’m sorry,” Masky looked up pitifully to gauge Toby’s reaction. He looked back down quickly as he saw the hurt in Toby’s eyes turn to rage. The brunet latched a hand around the handle of one of his hatchets.

The weapon embedded itself in the wooden wall right next to Masky’s head. He flinched, knowing that Toby never missed with his aim...this was a warning. 

“If you ev-ver talk to th-them again,” he hissed through gritted teeth as his paranoia started to take over with the voices in his head, “you w-won’t live to s-see another sun-nrise.”

Masky was in tears. He was barricaded in his room with some light, sad tunes playing for him quietly over the radio. He was miserable. How could she? How could she fall for the medic? He knew that there was a stereotype out there that women loved dating doctors, but Eyeless Jack? And his s/o? There was no way.

As soon as he’d seen Jack lean in to kiss her like that, he’d up and left, returning back to the cabin and hiding himself away without so much as a word to the other proxies. He let the tears fall as he pulled out another cigarette. He normally didn’t smoke inside, but this wasn’t a normal circumstance. 

He had seen them getting closer. The way she laughed at his sarcastic jokes. The way he ‘stared’ at her whenever she walked in with Masky. he mentally kicked himself now for not seeing the signs, for not seeing in coming. Why did this have to happen to him? Hadn’t he been through enough already?

There was a light knock at the door, followed by someone twisting the doorknob and trying to push it open, unsuccessfully. He heard her voice calling out to him, but didn’t respond. He heard her sigh and start mumbling something to someone else...there was a pause of silence, then the window next to him shattered. 

Eyeless Jack was now in the room with him. Masky turned away and mumbled a quick, ‘get out’, but the medic didn’t leave. 

“Don’t punish her for my actions.” The doctor hissed as he stepped in front of Masky, looking into the proxy’s very soul, it seemed.

“You two kissed. You love each other. How am I punishing her by wanting to be alone?” He muttered.

“Right, that’s all well and good except,” Doc would have rolled his eyes if he still had them, “we didn’t kiss.” Masky looked up at him, finally.

“I saw it!” He argued.

“You saw something that never happened? Interesting. You’ll have to show me how to do that sometime.” Jack spoke sarcastically. He continued before the proxy could speak further: “Look, I did try to kiss her, but she pushed me away. Nothing happened between us except me being an ass going after someone who already has a mate. I love her, but she loves you, so I’ll just get over it.You should do the same.”

The demon walked over to the door and removed the barricade with ease, and the door instantly opened up as she walked in and wrapped her arms around Masky.

Liu wasn’t present. Instead, Sully was in control, clashing blades with Jeff over and over as the two men fought. Sully got a good slice into Jeff’s stomach, and it healed quickly.

“I thought we were past the whole ‘trying to kill me’ thing! What’d I do this time?” Jeff demanded in his raspy voice as he stared Sully down from a distance with a break in the knife fight.

“You know damn well what you did, fucker.” Sully growled back and charged at him again. Jeff dodged the best he could and they continued to fight a little longer. Jeff actually did have an idea of what he’d done to piss off Sully, but he had no clue how the split personality had found out about it. He’d kept it under wraps this whole time.

“Liu! Come out and talk to me!” Jeff pleaded with his brother as the battle continued.

“Maybe we should talk about it,” Liu relented inside his own head, prepared to take control back from Sully. Sully fought it - hard.

“C’mon, you spineless idiot! He takes everything good from you! He killed your parents, he scarred you for life, and now he fucked your girl, and you just want to talk about it?!” the split personality spoke out loud as he chastised Liu.

“Wait, what?” Jeff stopped a few paces away. “I’m ace, you moron! I have no interest in ‘fucking his girl’! I do like her, but I’m not going to try and take her from you!”

So if you're wondering why you were tagged here, you probably reblogged ---> this  And I felt obligated to gather all of you together to update everyone on how you can now officially get these, since so many of you/your followers liked them and left such sweet comments 💜  SO, getting right into it! 

 • Yeah, these are stickers and not buttons. YET! The (short) post explaining why is ---> here

 • Once I have another $265 to buy a button maker for 1" buttons, I promise, they'll be buttons~! In fact, once they're buttons, they probably won't be available as stickers anymore. I just decided to make the Space Ace into stickers because they got so popular, and the rest as fill-ins until I design more, better, stickers • Most of these are Space Ace buttons, but the other buttons (Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall, Wander over Yonder, and Black Butler)  available can be seen ---> here and here

 • I'm gonna be honest, the edges on this first batch (excluding the Black Butler stickers) are horrible, and I'm so sorry about that 🙃  I need to do some very simple and quick edits to the PS file before I print out any more, but this is my first time making stickers, so forgive the Learning-By-Trial-And-Error stage just starting out. As I space them better, and save up to buy a circle Matt cutter, the quality will improve~! 

 • They will probably be available through most, if not all, of the summer months, and the remaining spring months, as that'll be the time I finish up my animation class, and make more things to sell over summer break~ 

 • S+H will be added to the price after they're sent, because I'm still learning how the heck you figure out adding that stuff into the charge before sending them, but unless you live outside the US, that should be under $10 (also if anyone that does this all the time wants to teach me how to figure that out, you’d be such a blessing, cause I’m horrible at math, and don’t even know what to look for/where to start looking for it to learn :’ ) ) 

 • I do plan to make more stickers/buttons for the LGBT+ community like the Ace ones I made (even if they don't match the theme), but I have to be very careful, as I'm closeted to the family I live with currently, and still a little ways away from moving out (tho hopefully getting closer to doing that~), so it may be quite a while before I make more, sorry about that :' ) If you're not a big fan of the original art I do/fan art I draw for (Yurio on Ice, Wander Over Yonder, Steven Universe, Star vs, Black Butler, Hamilton, Heathers, Revolutionary Girl Utena, etc.), but you want me to tag you whenever I do, at last, make more of those, leave me a CHAT message and I'll be more than happy to~!
