Here we are, a proper character sheet for the protagonist of the JUSTICE BROS (tm) AU, Chihiro!

Since Ishimaru is a less tech-savvy Mastermind than Junko was, and therefore can't react to tech-based developments in real time without contacting his co-conspirators on the outside, Chihiro is able to use his tools more effectively than would be possible in canon!

Unfortunately, because the Monokuma-analogues in this AU, the Mono-no-ko, are a strange hybrid of clockwork and computer, hacking into them directly isn't quite an option. Perhaps with the assistance of an Ultimate Mechanic...alas. At least Ryoko, with her Analyst talent, can help make up for any gaps in Chihiro's knowledge.

I always kind of thought Arcanine died before Palina ran for Clan leader, because she was traumatized enough that she didn't really want to be one anymore. I don't really have anything to back that up, that's just the assumption I've been running on thus far. Crippling ptsd, career-ending injuries, and (if they're incredibly lucky) old age retirement are really the only ways short of death that I've been imagining people leave their warden duties, but that'd make sense if the other wardens could kick out a member if they fucked up badly enough. Maybe Palina considered herself to have violated her duties by failing to keep her noble alive and was trying to kick herself out, but because none of the other wardens faulted her for it she wasn't removed from her position and was ineligible to be Clan leader.

Oh man, imagine how that'd play into both their insecurities, if Irida won by default because everyone else who was marked dropped out, and Adaman won because he was elected by the clan after no one was marked by Sinnoh? Even worse if Irida didn't even take the test, like if she was so young that they were going to have her go last, but everyone else before her failed so the clan decided that was a good enough answer and she didn't really need to go through with it.

What I'm wondering is what were the circumstances where they could not only meet, but continue having their clandestine affair without someone being like, hey why are you leaving all the time? And did anyone know Irida's dad had cheated on her mom before he left or did they just think he got cold feet at the idea of having a baby and ran away to become a merchant instead? Because traveling with a toddler/infant or while pregnant would be really dangerous, so why do so voluntarily? Unless they were caught together and ended up being banished with nowhere to go but the Guild. In an au where they're twins, I like to think that Volo just got lucky and looks a bit older than he is, mostly because him being like 18ish would make some of his decisions make more sense. Like, of course his plans look slapdash and poorly thought out, he'd have started making them when he was what, 16? I'm not exactly expecting fantastic, applicable doomsday plots from a kid lol.

Does knocking it out get rid of the frenzy though? It'd certainly make them easier to move elsewhere, but if becoming unconscious broke them out of it, wouldn't it just be easier to wait until they go to sleep? I know that in game the wild alphas can go to sleep, although it's really rare, so it's at least possible for them to do so. Unless they need be fully unconscious for it to break and when they sleep it's very shallow and they never hit REM. Maybe the reason they moved (or lured?) it up to Snowpoint is because becoming frenzied gave it a huge power boost. I highly doubt Sabi trained it to be level 70, but regardless, I don't think the others would have had the firepower to knock it out, other than Ingo. Who I'm sure would help if asked, but they might not have had a whole lot of time to come to a decision about it and I guess at that point it's either potentially damaging part of the Temple or letting Sabi's partner go running off into the wilderness to do who knows what. That'd still leave why they didn't ask him to KO it after it was trapped in there, but maybe that was right around the time Kleavor became frenzied and by that point they had bigger fish to fry, and in the meantime Sabi started training up an electibuzz that could ride around with her for protection during the few months it takes the protag to get up there.

i feel like if arcanine died before palina was tested for leader, she wouldn't have been considered at all. since from the way she talks about it, it seems like most of the clan considers her an unworthy warden because of that failure? so surely they wouldn't have wanted her as leader, either? so it's either after or during, and of the two during makes the most sense. by the same token, if she were trying to quit being a warden because of the failure, i think the last thing on her mind would be aiming for leader. i do think that the only way you get out of being a warden is via consensus from the rest, though, and even then it's very, very rare. 95% of the time, wardens "quit" by dying. the rest of the time, there has to be a strong majority agreement that the person in question is unfit for duty for some reason, due to injury/trauma or because they've violated their holy duty and can no longer be trusted.

YEAH. though idk what, exactly, the "test" was or how many others attempted it... i feel like snowpoint might be the last in a long series of them, since from the way irida talks about it it seems like "vying for leader" is a thing that took her and palina a long time. but anyway yessss re: both of them having parallel/comparative Weird Feelings about how they acquired the role of leader. irida sort of feels like sinnoh's last choice, under pressure to be as good as possible because there is nobody else, whereas adaman doesn't even get the reassurance of being chosen by anything other than his clanmates.

see, i'm wondering if his parents weren't both wardens. because i feel like that's the most likely way for two opposing clan members to meet, form a close bond, and have the chance to have a child without their clans really knowing about it. they could have even been the highlands wardens, a region where they'd have plenty of places to secret themselves away and they could have known cogita before leaving, as an extra bonus. which also makes irida and ingo's relationship WAY weirder. and now i'm kind of digging the idea of volo's mother leaving with him to go join the guild and it taking a few more years to convince him to leave too—which would also mask the "running away together" thing and give them a little plausible deniability. i wonder if volo, at least, knows they're half-siblings? and yeah no lol, volo's uh, Everything About Him, makes way more sense if you assume he's early twenties at the latest and has had this arceus-giratina-apocalypse obsession since his teens. dude is not hmm, Rational about this.

i think if knocking it out gets rid of the frenzy, it's less about unconsciousness and more about wearing it down into submission. i think fainting in battle is a lot different than going to sleep normally, after all, with being caught more akin to the first than the second. + yeah re: frenzy giving a power boost, alphas do tend to be much higher-level than their non-alpha counterparts, after all. i do love though that we have to work around "why didn't they just make ingo take care of it" bc yeah he Absolutely could and it wouldn't even be difficult. in the anthro au it could be explained by them really not wanting to make him go all the way up to snowpoint, but in canon there's not so much of an easy out.

Update: I have changed plenty of the above plot. The Loki book (both Norse myth and Marvel ver’s) is no longer about accepting your identity but now about reconnecting with your biological mom. There’s plenty of real life stories on that sort of thing.

AU of jjk x sailormoon (yeah they all wear the senshi uniform except for megumi)

Main Senshis

Yuuji is the ditzy protag who transforms into the pretty Cursed Sailor Senshi Sukuna by the power of the One Cursed Finger(tm). Student by day, Sukuna at night, he fights evil, cursed spirits, literally his mom and everyone else. He's on a quest to gather all the twenty pieces of Sukuna's middle fingers (and toss them into the volcano of Mount Doom) to upgrade into his final form Eternal Sailor Tora. He might be more intelligent than he looks.

Megumi is the mysterious Shikigami Delinquent Mask. His true identity is the lost prince of the (soon to vanish) Zenin Kingdom. Adept in manipulating shadows and friend to all disney animals, he is the moon to Yuuji's sun (too tooth-rotting ugh).

Nobara is Sailor Fire Rose and best friend of Yuuji and Megumi. Using her 1000-ton fire hammer, she wrecks terror in the heart of her every enemy and Yuuji whenever he dropped her shopping bags. Usually seen close to Sailor Makiroll in public.

Maki is Sailor Makiroll, exiled duke's daughter from the Zenin Kingdom with her twin sister Mai. Her herculean strength leaves no doubt to who's the pillar of the Sailor Senshis. May also be dating Sailor Fire Rose and Sailor Yomi at the same time.

Inumaki is Sailor Onigiri. Due to his unfortunate past, he can only speak in A VERY LOUD VOICE whereupon sometimes onigiri ingredients will appear in a giant shower and belt cursed spirits to death. Using his vocal talents, he is an essential support to the Sailor Senshis but also runs up a very high cost of cough syrups billed to Sailor Sensei-Skies (which noone cares). Sometimes pairs up with Sailor Panda as a tag team to irritate enemies and Sailor Fire Rose.

Todo is Sailor Brotha Haarto. He's a childhood friend of Yuuji and his self-proclaimed besto friendo. He may look like a thug but he has the heart of a 530,000 IQ genius. He is the strategist of the Sailor Senshis where enemies tend to underestimate him. The source of his powerhouse attacks come from his beloved idol Takada and helps to pave the way when his brains, sorry heart, couldn't.

Sailor Panda is Sailor Panda. Dun ask.

Guardian Senshis

Nanami is Sailor 7/3 Overtime. His dislike for his position and Sailor Sensei-Skies is well-known. His attack uses the Banana Cleaver of Exhausting Work and Obnoxious Bosses which quakes fear in the hearts (if they have one) of all and makes them sh*t in their pants (if they have a pair). Quietly cares for Yuuji's well-being.

Yuta is Sailor Yomi. His quiet and depressed appearance hides the fact he is stronger than even Sailor Makiroll (currently) and only loses to Sailor Sensei-Skies. When combined with his alter-ego Rika-chan which will appear after getting x9999 hits, he becomes nigh invincible in a one-hit KO using his Bone-Shattering Katana.

Gojo is Sailor Sensei-Skies. Has a extreme sweet tooth and the main cause of stress to all Sailor Senshis (except Yuuji). His only plus points are his long eyelashes, wealth and over-tight black t-shirt which are usually enough for his fans to overlook his personality (which is none). His limitless and infinite ability "Honoured One" has the potential to shatter the universe as we know it: "Megumi-chan has VI-YO-LIN lessons with me now". Currently grounded.

Geto is Sailor Salty. He's the unfortunate best friend (and unconfirmed boyfriend) of Sailor Sensei-Skies and suffers the brunt of the stress level he causes. His attack "Monkeys Be-gone" vacuums up the enemies in a tornado and stores them in Doraemon's pocket dimension to be used as fertiliser later. Currently missing. There are speculations that he ran away from home bcos of Gojo.

I have! It’s another cartoon that I’ve been meaning to watch (she says as she finishes rewatching all of Rick and Morty for the fourth time this week) but it’s been appearing in my YouTube recommended so much that I have a general idea of what’s going on in the series (also I’ve seen a compilation of all Voxman scenes lmao it’s a great ship)

KO (or K.O.? Idk how to write his name) could definitely relate to others with either evil clones or having been turned “evil” themselves to save their friends/family, and also growing up around people who are all older than him and thus can’t really empathize with him as much. I feel like Sci-Twi would absolutely adore him because wow, feeling lonely and turning evil against your will because you just wished to have control over something and feel strong for once? Yea she knows that feeling.

Late, but 001: Hinanami?

001 | send me a ship and I will tell you:

when I started shipping it if I did: Storytime! When I first got into DR around Feb 2013, I shipped Koma.hina for about two months! I didn’t know the characters that well at the time, saw they looked like Kawo.shin, so I rolled with it. Eventually however, I started seeing some Koma.miki fanarts around and everything clicked into place with that as my preferred Ko ship. So then that left Hinata all by himself, so then Hinanami happened! It’s funny, because I tend to not enjoy protag/main girl ships, but I soon found that I loved their interactions once I really paid them attention!

my thoughts: I actually prefer AI Nanami over DR3 Nanami! Not that I dislike her in DR3, but the one in SDR2 has traits that made me really love her, and in turn the Hinanami ship!

What makes me happy about them: AI Nanami has a really offbeat sense of humor, which flies right past Hinata. I love it.

What makes me sad about them: Do I even need to say it? DR3 Nanami’s death, man

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I’ve loved pretty much every Hinanami fic I’ve read, however I miss fics set on the island, especially since I prefer AI Nanami. Oh wait, I’ve read fics that weren’t tagged with character death in which Nanami 100% died for good without any hope and those kinda ruin my night

things I look for in fanfic: Nanami alive. If it’s a non-Despair AU, I prefer the DR3 setting over an American highschool setting

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Hinata with Tsumiki, Nanami with Ko (I don’t ship them per se, but I see the appeal and don’t dislike them together)

@hakaieve yeah for the most part, I just ship to have fun! I have a few mostly fed by headcanons of their interaction rather than canon, so it's usually pretty flexible! Like, AI!Kamunami, Hinaegi, Hinakomaru, KomaNami, Oumami, Oumeno, and Oumaede are all based on the potential rather than true canon interactions! Or, I find their fanart cute, and then think of their possible interactions, lol XD (Of course, what few interactions there are in canon, I hold onto very tightly, lol) I think you're ace headcanons are valid! Its not a bad thing to self project, I do it too! And the protags all being bi/pan is how I see it, too ✌

@serahne Ah, of course! I feel it's fun to focus on the ship rather than the sexuality, so most of the time I just internally default then to bi as well, hahaha. I also personally headcanon Tenko as solely interested romantically in females! (tho i never get mad at people shipping her with men even if I personally can't see it) I only ship Komaeda with two people within AUs, but KomaNami, to me, is 'the-ship-not-meant-to-be,' as in they tried it, and liked each other, but tragedy strikes as it does around Ko. He ends up having much a deeper relationship with Haji with feelings he never felt with Nami. And of course, in canon, I only headcanon him as having feelings for Haji, lol. Other than these two, despite cute and interesting fanworks, I just can't ship him with anyone else. I can't say I headcanon him as 100% gay, but I think the term for selective attraction would be demi! I can totally see Rantaro as aro/ace! Canon seems to suggest that, anyways. I also headcanon Haji and Shuichi as bi! (or pan? I never really understood the difference well) I think, for both of them, they are attracted more to women initially simply because they were raised into thinking they were straight, but then come across guys they like and dismiss those feelings until its been clear for too long. (Like, in Island Mode, Haji seems to expect a confession from Ko, or Shuichi telling himself he shouldn't be having such feelings for Kaito). Soda, Mahiru, and Makoto as straight sounds good to me! I also kinda view them as straight (especially Makoto, but I still need to get back to DR1 and actually play everyones FTEs haha)
