As our loved ones age, ensuring they receive the right level of care becomes a paramount concern. While many seniors prefer to age in place, there comes a point when additional support is necessary for their well-being. Skilled nursing services play a crucial role in providing specialized care that goes beyond what traditional caregiving can offer.

Okay now I've gotten myself angry again. Every time a medical professional is abusive/neglectful the overwhelming response is "Their job is so stressful and underpaid! They deal with so many rude and abusive patients, of course they're like that!!"
You know who else has stressful, underpaid jobs and deal with rude and abusive customers a lot? Retail workers. But if a retail worker started assaulting all of their customers you'd hear all about it, wouldn't you? The consequences would be enormous, and there would be an overwhelmingly negative response, even if it was exclusive to rude customers.
Now imagine this was the norm, and it was socially acceptable, encouraged even, in retail jobs to abuse and assault your customers whenever you feel like it, for any perceived sleight, just because they need to buy groceries and you have to serve them. It would be all over the news, it would be an international scandal with arrests all over the place, there would be exposés of the secret culture of abuse and assault in retail workplaces on every channel and news source with interviews with the victims. Everyone would know about it and everyone would care, because of course that's fucked up.
So why is it different when your victims are sick and rely on you to survive?

When Is the Best Time to Seek Incontinence Care?
Tumblr media
Americare Home Health, Inc . provides skilled nursing services such as incontinence care. Do you remember a time you did not make it to the toilet because your bladder just lost control? Most older people, especially women, suffer from incontinence. This is because they have experienced pregnancy, childbirth, and the menopausal stage throughout their lives. On the other hand, men who have undergone prostate gland problems are also at risk of bladder overflow.

Professional nurses must acquire the skills and knowledge they need to get certifications for patient care. Their license would speak of their ability to perform healthcare tasks and the quality of healthcare staffing services in Massachusetts.

Accessible and Prompt Healthcare At Your Fingertips
The healthcare industry is in high demand these days. The rising cost of healthcare, the frequency of chronic diseases, and the rapidly aging population all have an impact on the healthcare system. However, half of the world’s population currently lacks access to basic healthcare. The majority of people are also denied access to proper care due to a lack of understanding regarding pre-existing medical illnesses, symptoms, and past and current drugs.

honestly you probably shouldn't go into the medical profession if you aren't prepared to treat patients with dignity and respect - even if your job exploits you, even if your bosses suck, even if you're exhausted.
yes, you are allowed to have feelings and be tired. but you have to be willing and able to either admit when you can't do something (and take the consequences), or put how you feel aside and do your job. for the sake of your patient.
you and your job may be harmed by the medical industrial complex's wrongness, but to your patients, you are part of the complex that is also gravely failing them. you have the power to be a force of goodwill and care, or an instrument of oppression.
that is what you're signing up for when you become a medical professional. don't like it? don't become a medical professional.

Now that it's Disability Pride Month, anyone who makes obnoxious diabetes jokes along the lines of "diabetes in a cup" or similar jokes personally owes me at least $10 okay thank you much love ^_^
Same goes for the people who immediately tell me about how much they would hate their life if they had to inject themselves with needles everyday like I do after I tell them I'm diabetic, your comment is not helpful or insightful! :3
Oh and people who ask me for the in depth medical definition on type 1 diabetes owe AT LEAST $30, I'm not your personal medical dictionary

Quick question for all the medical staff out there: CPR is usually 30 compressions to 2 breaths, right? I've heard about singing Staying Alive to get the pace of compressions right, but how do you count AND keep the rhythm right?? I have my CPR renewal training tomorrow and I'm overthrowing it

Crazy how despite Mikan's love for gory movies and blood, she doesn't do an over the top murder. She doesn't even do a medical themed murder despite it being the main focus of the chapter. (Only one of her victims was a patient and she just strangled her)
Crazy how, when she wants to commit a murder for Junko, she does neck trauma.
That's Yasuke's M.O.

A nurses' strike is looming at Rochester General Hospital this week. The system that delivers and manages half the care in the Rochester area is preparing to keep operations running during the scheduled union picket. The Rochester Union of Nurses and Allied Professionals says members are ready to walk off the job beginning Thursday morning. Rochester Regional Health, which runs Rochester General Hospital, was notified that the work stoppage is planned from Thursday at 7 a.m. until Saturday at 7 a.m. Nurses are planning to walk the picket lines at that time, no matter when shifts end. Officials with Rochester Regional say the health system plans to bring in hundreds of nurses during the strike from what it calls a nationally respected agency. It intends to maintain all services without interruption from emergency department response to scheduled surgeries. RRH says the strike comes after 15 negotiating sessions with the union to get its first contract.

Doctors, nurses (and others treating physical ailments), and mental health professionals, do you trust a patient who describes their experiences/symptoms with "medical language" more or less?
*Explanation: as medical language becomes more well known and more "mainstream" with the help of internet, their meanings can become diluted, and people can start describing their mild symptoms with terms that are more severe than their actual conditions.
(For example, feeling "out of it" could mean a general malaise, anxiety or dissociation, but if a patient described their symptoms with medical terms like "dissociative symptoms" without any proper examination from a licensed doctor, they could leave out the other two possibilities — general malaise and anxiety — which could affect their course of treatment, etc.)
This poll was submitted to us and we simply posted it so people could vote and discuss their opinions on the matter. If you’d like for us to ask the internet a question for you, feel free to drop the poll of your choice in our inbox and we’ll post them anonymously (for more info, please check our pinned post).

Honestly really hope 4.1 gives ANY kind of interesting aspect to Neuvillette and Wriothesley's dynamic bc rn "token yaoi bait of 2 tall men who live in the same country, work together professionally but are not close personally" is just not hitting for me...
Like give me SOMETHING to work with so I don't have to be annoyed with the Wriolette art when I'm just trying to look for Neuvillette fanart
