and i’m almost sure of that bc. listen. i have so many thoughts and it’s early in the morning and it’s gonna be so messy and i don’t even know if someone has already said this but.

what i’m really convinced of is, valentino didn’t believe marc sabotaged him. i think the whole sabotage story is bullshit. like, it IS really bullshit even for them. it’s as believable as that polleria osvaldo prank.

ofc uccio didn’t check any telemetry shit. ofc valentino didn’t really think marc was sabotaging him in phillip island. marc had a rough start of the season that year, made many mistakes, but at some point he eventually started to get his shit back together and even tho he wasn’t a contender for the title anymore he could’ve been very much of an obstacle put in the middle of the road of his climb to the 10th. that sabotage conspiracy theory really was nothing but a means to “scare off” little marc, to try to make him take a few steps back and get him off the hook or whatever. he NEEDED marc out of the games bc that was his last chance to get his 10th and he truly wanted it at ALL costs. plus, he really loved his silly little mind games. he pulled that shit with gibernau, biaggi, casey AND jorge himself. but it BIBLICALLY backfired bc marc has always been one tough mf and of course he served vale a little taste of his own medicine (showing him what it would have been like to have him as an actual sabotaging agent on track) and OF COURSE he had to show that he wasn’t scared or anything. OF COURSE he had to show that he would’ve never bent down for anybody. should he have behaved differently? probably. but he literally was 22. and it’s not to babey him or anything, it’s how it is. 22 years of age and FIRE in his veins, headstrong, impulsive, and all of that. of course it didn’t end well, that was the only possible outcome, no variations. vale ended up losing his 10th and marc.. well we know what he had to go through

but that’s it. vale’s own ambition outweighed his talent (for mindgames) (quote) and he lost the championship the exact moment he went and poked the wrong bear. vale never felt betrayed, he STILL does not feel betrayed or anything. it’s not about genuine delusions or hurt feelings, it’s about ego, truly. vale doesn’t need and doesn’t want any apology. vale just doesn’t want anyone to reach HIS greatness. HIS status as a god. which is why he ended up being friendly with all of his past enemies on track, they’re out of the games now, of course! they couldn’t (and won’t now) reach his status as a god not even if they wanted to. except for the one that is still riding despite everything he went through

this is why, or at least i think it is, they will never really fully reconcile, IF not, maybe, in just one case: marc retires before he has reached (or surpassed) vale’s number of championships.

even in that case, i wouldn’t be really sure it could eventually happen. but it’s really the only scenario that seems probable to me.

Mateo: (glaring) Well, I hate when Rufus just curses out randomly. Sometimes he won’t even tell me why. I’ll have him lying down on my lap and he’ll just say, “Shit!” and not elaborate.

book ramble below (little messy to call it a review lmao)

hi i’m alive!!! long story short my mood has been rly shit, so i took a hiatus off art for a while and also went into a reading slump, but i finally managed to finish tftdate today!

i love but also hate the ending oml, this book is so beautiful but the way he (no spoilers) dies is so brutal, i had to step outside and touch some grass to process that 😭 AND THE VIDEO IN THE USB DRIVE GAVE ME SO MANY MIXED EMOTIONS. BRO IM SHITTING TEARS. THEY LOVED EACHOTHER SM. i’m so glad he thought ahead to make the video though, it’s so bittersweet. they didn’t even get to look through their photos together though

it’s so thought provoking just like the first book and it made me think so hard about how things could’ve been different, like if valentino never moved to new york or if his landlord was a different

but all we, the reader, know for sure is that valentino would’ve stayed miserable if he never met orion. and orion finally got a boyfriend. they both lived their dreams in one day, i think that’s the closest to a happy ending we can get.

to be honest i find adam silveras writing style a little choppy and fast paced, but it didn’t stop me from learning a lot about valentino and orion, and their interactions are so cute

i even had some hope at the end that things would go right but nope ☹️

i felt a whole lot of different emotions after the ending, but one things for sure, i cried a lot!!! 😍😍😍 i don’t know what’s with adam silvera and making gay couples sad bro, this book is so homophobic of him smh. the only way i can describe the ending is awfully bittersweet. and the way the side stories tie together is so genius but so cruel at the same time, so kudos to adam silvera for that

anyway good news is that it sparked an art idea for me, so i decided to draw these sad gays to cope

to me they’re just paid actors and the whole book is fake and they’re happily married alr nobody can convince me otherwise

Hey Mr Prince, for a question about Val in your 666 series! He was very chill with Alastor interrupting him and Vox last time, but do you think he might get jealous of Alastor in the future, as Vox's obsession for him is only deepening now that they're spending more and more time together? He seems possessive and volatile enough for this... (mostly with Angel Dust who he sees as his property, but Vox also expects to be the "ungrateful whore" Val is angry at in ep2)

Hello! I've gotten some fic comments that are a similar question to this over the last couple of 666 fics, so I appreciate the opportunity to answer it on my blog, haha.

I'm going to be totally honest, as much as the radiostatic side of 666 is part of my aroace agenda, the staticmoth side of it is just as much my poly agenda and I don't (currently) have any intention of writing a jealousy plot of any sort from Valentino's side of things! This is for a few reasons:

I'm just not a huge fan of jealousy plots as a whole, and despite being Like That, this fic series is kind of a comfort series for me.

This isn't very clear from the lack of timestamps and whatnot (though this makes me inclined to be clearer about it in future fics), but radiostatic aren't actually spending very large swathes of time together. Alastor's "dealing with Vox" meter is too resource-poor for that, lmfao.

I think Valentino is a possessive fuck but the way that I write him, he wouldn't register what radiostatic are getting up to as worth getting legitimately jealous over, especially because:

Part of Vox's character progression in this series is actually transitioning from obsession to genuine affection, not increased obsession!

The natures of their respective relationships are really different. (As is the nature of Valentino's relationship with Angel Dust.)

Val and Vox already have their own relationship bullshit going on in the background at any given point in time. Someone should financially compensate Velvette for that. Oh, wait, that's probably what Love Potion is for.
