After a turbulent 2014/15 season which saw no fewer than seven athletes take a turn with the yellow bib, Germany’s Severin Freund went into the final competition of the season with a 44 point advantage over Slovenia’s Peter Prevc. Prevc led the competition after the first round, while Freund lay in seventh position, with a gap of around 12 metres to make up - if things finished as they were, Prevc would win the crystal globe. In the second round, Freund produced a slightly longer jump with better style, but was unable to move up the rankings. His fate now lay in the hands of the six jumpers to come. Fourth-to-last was Prevc’s Slovenian teammate, Jurij Tepeš, who jumped 244 metres and scored five 20s for style from the judges (this was the tenth, and to date last, time that this feat has been achieved - the ninth was achieved by Peter Prevc himself only two days earlier). This gave Tepeš a significant lead over the next jumpers, Norway’s Rune Velta and Poland’s Kamil Stoch, who could only manage third and fifth place respectively. Prevc jumped last of all - his second jump was slightly shorter than his first, albeit with better style, but he fell just 2.8 points short of Tepeš’ impressive total score, and finished the competition in second place. Therefore, Prevc and Freund both finished the season with 1729 points; the crystal globe was awarded to Freund on countback, as he had amassed nine wins that season to Prevc’s three. Austrian Stefan Kraft finished third in the World Cup, some 151 points behind Prevc and Freund.

Daniel and Halvor were sitting in their room in Lillehammer after a shared training with the Slovenians. They were taking notes about what they were going to give to the Secret Santa recipents Marius and Johann. They decided on gifting their trainer. They knew what their trainer Alexander Stöckl will get. They thought of getting the guitar their trainer had always wanted. Daniel noted that he and Halvor needed to tell the others to help them. They were brainstorming for a few hours when a loud knock disturbed their peace. Halvor walked to the door and opened. Domen Prevc stood there. Halvor asked what he wanted. The Slovenian told that he and his brothers found an injured animal.
