Who has been making the most of this beautiful sun we are having? . I can’t believe I have gone from having too much water inn the garden and a really soggy field, to having to water the garden in less than a week. . Our home-schooling has pretty much involved a bit of actually school work in the morning (maths, English etc) followed by hours of gardening. . The kids have been helping to dig up borders, help me fetch the rotted horse manure- yeah I had to explain why we were digging in horse poo, every day’s a learning day 😂- they have planted seeds, created their own ‘garden’, dug over the allotment, and we found a new species of mushroom growing thatwe have not seen before. . We are definitely getting our vitamin D while we can, and the site will look fab in a month’s time. . One of the geese has sitting on some eggs, as have two chickens so we are hopeful for some more babies soon. . we may not have any guests in but it’s certainly busy busy at the retreat. .
