the evergreen nature of this website is the best feature because sometimes i'll get anons out of the blue responding to any random thought i have had in the last 13 years with no context. someone just walks into my house demanding i Explain Myself for something i spat into the blue abyss one time at 2 am in 2014 and haven't thought about since. like not even something problematic necessarily, just picking up a conversation i wasn't even having with that person. if it was in a reblog chain, i don't even get an activity notification as a hint. entire children could have been born and learned multiplication tables since then.

i guarantee there are still users out there receiving emails like Anonymous asked a question with a long paragraph beginning AND ANOTHER THING and it's about like. my little pony. and if you found it now the post would be indecipherable because it was composed entirely in teh 1337 sp33k. and then, sometimes the ask is related to a post i made yesterday afternoon and already forgot, between reblogs of pixelated gifsets from 2012. no wonder we're all out of touch every thursday, i haven't fully participated in linear time since barack obama's first term. we still had a space shuttle then and activity notifications on the main dash.
