Pondering Ghosts are Dragons, and just rotating each design in my head I have for them. That is the ghosts we see in the show more than just once or twice lol. Just pondering each of them and potential types and descriptions and how the people of Amity see them, as they’re used to the dragons around, vs say someone from Outside, crossover or no, who are Not used to the maybe slightly eldritch undeath interdimensional dragons around everywhere. 

That is not normal for other people. 

To the Amity Parkers? Boxy is simply a chonky dragon with small boxy wings and covered in blue scales. To people just coming into the city, it’s like seeing a giant komodo dragon when you’re just walking home- not something you exactly want to see and something that is dangerous. 

Kitty’s and Johnny’s weekly relationship tussle? Par for the course really. But to visitors? Two giant wyverns tearing into each other, shimmering greens that could be scales, could be tendrils, and shadows lengthening and thrashing like a living beast all its own. 

And this is just the small dragonlings, not even beginning with larger ones like Pandora and Fright Knight, chill as they may be. 

Outsiders don’t understand that they’re more than just animals. Amity is used to this, but people who have no clue what’s going on? They don’t.

They call the police, the heroes, the government, for help, for answers. And that? That the GIW can use.

I forget if you've covered this before, but do either of the boys smoke in the modern day version? My assumption is no, but I do think it would be cute for one to stop for the other's sake. I also think both would look extremely handsome doing it (until Machete breaks out into a coughing fit).

In modern au, Machete started stress smoking at around 14 or 15, initially prompted by peer pressure (he wanted to impress his friends, most of which seemed way cooler than him). He was never an incessant chain smoker but it was something he could do to manage his anxiety (or at least feel like he had some control over it). He continued until he met Vasco.

With Vasco's support, he managed to quit shortly after their relationship became serious, mostly out of fear of bothering his boyfriend with the smell. He still sometimes fidgets with the lighter when he's feeling agitated.

also every time I talk about “clean” and “dirty” products, I get people like “clean beauty is a scam”, which is so. You’re getting caught up on the KEYWORD. We’re not talking about brands using the word Clean on their label and charging $50 for moisturizer. I’m not talking abt buzzword Clean, I’m talking about Risk Of Harm type Clean.  It’s legitimately helpful to be able to check your, idk, conditioner, and not only see what’s in it, but actually understand the ingredients. You can get so much info. Like, is this ingredient classified as dirty because it’s a skin irritant? Or because it’s an endocrine disruptor? Or because it’s a known and proven carcinogen? Like, beauty and hygiene products can have so much Shit in them, it doesn’t hurt to check.  Also, maybe this is just bc I’m nosy, but I like getting all the info. Like you can get so much shit on A Single Ingredient. I just pulled one up at random, that is in a conditioner I’ve used before. 

It gives you so much info right off the bat. How this ingredient would be more likely to cause harm/irritation in sprays or powders that can be inhaled or ingested. What it is for (a preservative). What it does NOT do (does not cause cancer, does not trigger allergies, etc), what it CAN do, and what are other names for it that you might find on a label. Like idk! I think it’s interesting! We’re just out here learning stuff! It’s not supposed to Scare you, it’s supposed to help you make Informed Decisions abt what goes in and on your body. What you should be scared of is the stuff in Head & Shoulders.

Learning that apparently some people headcanoned Victim as a nice guy and friend before Wanted is so mindblowing. Like not just because it aged so poorly it loops back to being hilarious. But also cause. like. where did the idea of him being nice come from.

His own father made him just to torture and then kill him. His introduction to life was having to fight to defend himself despite having done nothing wrong. A powerless man in an unfair battle against God. And he lost, was killed for no reason. If you believe the clones were their own people instead of a hive-mind, then he made four new friends and immediately lost them. And, if he lived on as a ghost, he spend several years alone, seeing his father forget him and abuse his successor, only to see another successor: One that was so similar in many ways, but got a second chance, got to keep his friends, got to befriend his father, got to live.

His name is literally fucking Victim. How do you NOT get issues and insecurities about basically everything.

If Victim was to return, him being a villain seeking revenge was always the most likely and realistic option. No offence to anyone who liked NiceVic, and this IS from the perspective of someone who never interacted with that side of the fandom, but idk how people could see him as anything but a man hateful towards the whole world for never giving him a chance.

You know when you think about it, like, yes, Crocodile was theoretically weak as shit when he got his ass handed to him by Baby Luffy in Alabasta. His sudden power-up in Marineford and current bounty feel kind of out of place for him, right. Like if he lost to Baby Luffy, then surely this man can't be that stronk, right

But of course, to be fair, by the time the two fought Crocodile had been sitting on his ass for over a decade in the middle of Paradise, never having to lift as much as a finger to completely overpower the weak haki-less pirates that would pass by Alabasta every now and then. It is an entirely fair argument that Crocodile was just straight up rusty and Luffy just gave him the first workout he's had in a decade (which he was not prepared for, at all) (Also Crocodile was overconfident, it's entirely possible had wasted a lot of energy toying with Luffy, and by the time he started to take things seriously he was already starting to get worn down. So like, he lost to hubris, his own overconfidence)

But also, considder this

The only person we know Crocodile's ever lost to (besides Luffy) was Whitebeard. And more specifically, Whitebeard, when he was young and spry and not dying of Old Man Disease. Crocodile lost to Whitebeard when he was arguably at his strongest.

So theoretically speaking, Crocodile's power level doesn't have to be tied down to his defeat to Pre-Gear Luffy, rather, we know his power level just doesn't reach Primebeard Levels. It's a scale

Regardless of wherever Croc might actually land on that scale specifically, Primebeard is just beyond Crocodile's max. Or at least was, when Croc was in his early 20s. He did spend over a decade lazing around, but he's also had a full timeskip to workout and get swole again, so who the fuck knows, maybe current Croc COULD sweep not just WB but also Primebeard
