More of the Tiamat Au? More of the Tiamat Au! 

Sharing a body was strange. Ten limbs split between the nine of them- thirteen if one counted the tails and seventeen if one counted the fact that their cloak… skirt… whatever could mimic the wings of their other form. 

One which they would change back to after a few moments- there was much less stumbling when it was all fours. Not to mention that if not for the tails they’d have easily toppled over with how many arms they had making them slightly top heavy. Okay more than slightly, it was taking a bit to adjust. 

Honestly the fields of wheat and other crops did nothing to hide them with how tall even this body was, but it was still better than nothing, and they were using the fact it was the middle of nowhere to their shared advantage. 

At least the humanoid- not human, even now their shared power thrummed through the air, leaking from them- form was smaller than their true draconic one. Well, perhaps they shouldn’t call it their true form, when they were once all human, halfa and liminal alike, but they’d long since stopped being such. So perhaps it was in fact true to call the form they had become as their normal state now. 

Actually, could they even separate now? Or had their power melded together so much that it was impossible now, and an attempt would end them? It would at the very least crack their core- 

“What the fuck.” 

Their head lurched, a little too far if the jolt of pain was anything before it melted away. They were all too used to moving their own necks separately. But all of them agreed that discovery could not happen-

It was a child. A preteen with red-orange hair, blue-green eyes, expensive clothing, and most damming of all, large swaths of bruising across his arms. Bruising that did not come from usual play, and looked far too much like hand prints for any of their comfort. 

Someone had very much not been taking care of this child. And that really made them quite angry.

Hmm thinking about it I think of lot of ppl's issue with Caitlyn's arc this season is the confusion of what her arc in s2 act 1 was supposed to mean/represent and how that translates to her arc in act 2.

Cause the point was that Caitlyn's laser focus is what blinds her. It made her susceptible to manipulation by Ambessa, caused her to lean to fascist like behaviors, and with the priviledge of her birth, meant that translated into consequences for and damage to a lot of people of Zaun (including the war crimes). This does not justify her behavior now, but it doesn't make her a fascist ideologue, which a lot of ppl seem to have gotten the impression is where her character will be going.

Act 1 Caitlyn was her hardening and doubling down on her pain and grief, which culminates in her discarding Vi, something that pre-ep9 of s1 wouldn't have happened. Not after all what they've been through. That's where the parallels with Vi and Powder from s1ep3 come from - at an emotional/personal level, it's a betrayal not only to Vi/Powder, but also to what Caitlyn/Vi wanted in their relationship/how they engaged with their loved one/themselves even.

Fast forward to act 2. Time has passed, and Caitlyn's initial grief has cooled. Her hard boot actions of act 1 and leaning into the role Ambessa provided for her (which she did not want, cause again she's not an ideologue for fascism/dictatorships) did not bring her her results; rebounding with a woman her mother would've wanted (per Amanda Overton says) did not get her the satisfaction she'd hope. She misses Vi. But more pertinently, Ambessa is going too wild, she is causing too much problems, and this is going on for too long. And there's the Jinx issue. Caitlyn is smart, if a bit hamstrung with little allies who could do something (her mother, Jayce are now gone, she has no Vi for a guide in the undercity) to help her. Only Ambessa, whom Caitlyn is aware is manipulating her but Caitlyn herself is not politician with the skills to play back. And again, Ambessa knows how to press her buttons. Until Singed.

That's when I think, it becomes clear to Caitlyn that she needs to act now. When she learns that Ambessa not only was going behind her back about finding this weapon (thus, more self-interested and dangerous), she's working with the guy who has done so much damage to Piltover and Zaun both. And is actively hurting this guy and plans to do more. It becomes imperative when Ambessa speaks about destroying a peaceful commune. So when Vi shows up, finally, an ally whom Ambessa is not aware of and/or doesn't have a thumb in, she takes the chance. Hence the team up. She can trust Vi here, cause she learns that Vi has an invested interest in protecting the commune (her dad is there/is the beast). That's not of course, including the guilt and of course the love, but still. And that clearing of mind allows her to focus more on the important things - not attacking Jinx, ignoring her to focus on Vi being injured in the fight despite having the Shot for Jinx. Caitlyn now knows isolation (timeskip deal) and values more what she has to lose.

tl;dr - Caitlyn's issue was always that she had tunnel vision, and too much grief that manifested into rage which led her astray in many ways. She was never Anti-Zaunite in the sense she wanted them all dead - but cause of the grief and her flaws with her privilege led her to lean into her biases with little countermeasure. Even in episode 1 she was blaming Jinx, and later Silco's goons for the rogue actions in Zaun - not the whole population. Again, he Her "pivot" in act 2 makes sense therefore, cause it was less a pivot if more of a clear head/wake up call. Her actions in act 1/timeskip are not justified on moral grounds, but it makes sense for the character and her situation.

even after the kiss and "i forgive you" and "don't bother" and crowley storming out and aziraphale being stricken, aziraphale still made an excuse so he could stay when the metatron asked if he was ready to go (but the bookshop!)!!! and stared out the window at crowley!!!!! and said "i think i--" in a way that was clearly going to end with "don't want to go" before he buried his feelings!! and crowley was still standing by his car waiting for aziraphale to come with him!!!! even after the breakup scene they weren't willing to accept being broken up as part of their reality!!!!! it wasn't until the metatron mentioned the second coming that aziraphale seemed to decide that he was in too deep now to turn back!!!!! but he still turned back to look at crowley one last time!!! do you know what all of this does to a person!!!!!

Yeah, I can take unpaid time off to deal with it, but my dad is dead, I shouldn't have to choose between grieving and paying my fucking bills!

If I didn't have 3 weeks of vacation banked, I wouldn't be able to take more than the 2 days I'm legally allotted because I'd be too poor to grieve!

Anyways, Hamlet played by a set of twins and Ophelia and Horatio being played by their friends that they have homoerotic tension with throughout the entire narrative. And the final duel being the Hamlet that split off from the original until he is killed, when he is replaced by the real Hamlet (the Only Hamlet, if you think about it) and then our survivor being ignored, left alone on the stage to bow separate from the others, not returning at curtains because he simply never existed... Just a thought

A teeny tiny prayer for Yoh and Sam

Unlike Sun and Lin, two rich boys, lying to each other,

YOH IS POOR!

And I really hope Sunset x Vibes does not drop that.

Yoh was very upset that Lin didn't tell him that he was seeing the president of their company, but Yoh has always known who Lin is and the money he comes from, so I'm hoping the show is setting it up that Yoh would've been fine with Sam being a baby CEO but he won't be okay with the lie.

And unlike Lin, who has his dad's business to fall back on if things don't go well with his dream job, Yoh needs this internship which he almost didn't get because Sam, the baby CEO who doesn't even need to be there, took his spot on the elevator.

Sam has found all these little ways to hold Yoh's hand

And to touch him

And just to be there for him

So I am very loudly hoping that once Yoh decides to let Sam in and tells him what is bothering him, Yoh finds out the truth about Sam, from someone else.

These rich BL boys have been getting away with far too much lately, and I need Sam to get hit with the consequences that none of the others have suffered because Yoh likes being a regular broke dude, and Sam has lead him to believe they are the same.

Sam is a liar with his pants on fire, and I need Yoh to be pissed and for Sam to grovel.

Sam knows something is up at the company which is why he wanted to be an undercover baby boss for longer.

But he is partly staying to be close to Yoh.

So let his mama find out he is back (perhaps when he figures out who is behind the insider secrets), let shit hit the fan, and LET YOH BE LIVID! And don't let Sam's big brown eyes get him out of this!

Not too crazy of an Overgrowth piece in all fairness though on the lore side, I DID realize something. Basically, if someone bashed the living shit out of his brains in a run of the loop, on the next loop, he'd be FUUUUCKED. For one, he'd have the golden bruises all over his head, skull and face. And, two, the flowers might grow internally in his BRAIN. Soooo yeah! This au could turn out in such a horrific way if I just wanted him to perish :')
