In case you all wanted to feel worse about everything that happened- Jimmy doomed them the moment he diverted the ship, the actual asteroid being there was just a coincidence. AU Is referred to as Astronomical Units.

We can confirm that the asteroid is 21 AU away when the game starts. Which is a whopping 3,141,555,284,700 Metres (or 1,952,071,953 Miles)

When Jimmy diverts the ship into the asteroid, we're suddenly only 1.9 AU away. Which is only 284,235,954,330 Metres (176,616,034 Miles)

For a better example, from the Earth to the sun is 1 AU, around one astronomical unit, equivalent to 150 Million km or 93 million miles. Jimmy entirely diverted the whole ship off its course onto basically an entirely different solar system of movement.

From the Sun to the other planets in AU, Uranus is 19.22 AU and Mars is about 1.52 AU Away, that's how much of a jump it was. And because of such a jump, it almost guaranteed that Pony Express is never ever going to find the Tulpar, because it diverted off course so significantly.

- (Modern) Rip pony and Johnny you would’ve loved Conan Gray and Mitski

- (Modern) Cherry and Marcia like Sabrina, Olivia, TS, artists like that but also Billie eilish, Renee rapp, and Chappell roan, etc. Cherry and Marcia kiss each other.

- (Modern) Marcia also listens to Midwest emo and shi. Also normal emo music. Johnny aswell.

- (Modern) Ponyboy LOVES tv girl

- (Modern) Sometimes cherry is just in the mood to listen to the most hardcore music ever and you’ll look at her and think she’s vibing to something sweet and girly and she takes her headphones out to hear you talk and it’s just screaming

- (Modern) Cherry and pony actually just have the most random assortment of music in their playlists I’ve decided. They have so many liked songs.

- (Modern) ponyboy would cry if he lost an account to something like Pinterest or Spotify, or just anything he’s had for a long time.

- (Modern) Pony leaves his phone on dnd (do not disturb) constantly. He never got Darry’s texts and Darry was like “dawg wtf” and made pony have it so Darry and soda go through the dnd. Johnny also goes through.

- (Modern) Johnny will just give himself piercings galore and his parents practically never notice because he’s either never at the house or they don’t care enough to perceive their son

- (Modern) Pony and Johnny have matching insta bios. They’re tv girl lyrics.

- (Modern) Ponyboy actually puts effort into choosing and editing pictures he takes, especially if he’s posting them, and even more especially if it’s johnny he’s posting. Johnny will just choose the goofiest possible pictures he has of anyone, ESPECIALLY pony, and post them. He literally has a picture of pony delirious and sick flipping him off as his lock screen

- Twobit taught his sister swear words and every time she says one their mom just glares at twobit

- Pony and johnny have matching earrings on opposite ears

- (Modern) Darry only lets pony get ear lobe piercings, but pony wanted an eyebrow piercing and got johnny to do it and when Darry noticed (immediately, mind you) he was grounded for two weeks. He was able to keep it though bc darry was scared it would get infected or heal weird

- Pony and Johnny would LOVE mitski and Conan gray in modern au

- Darry is really good at dancing, and before everything happened with his parents would do dance classes on his free time (which he didn’t have a lot of)

- Dally is aromantic.

Okay that’s it the rest I came up with in the past week

- Pony will draw or paint or whatever on anything around him. Don’t leave him alone with art supplies because one moment he’s painting a picture and the next his hand is painted blue. (me)

- Pony will get marked as rude a lot for not continuing conversations but it’s just because he doesn’t realize he’s supposed to say something back and gets anxiety when he doesn’t know how to continue a conversation (me)

- (Some parts of this are modern) Pony and johnny are like attached to each other. If pony is at his desk reading or drawing or doing schoolwork or smth, Johnny will pull up a chair and either rest his head on his shoulder from behind or hug his shoulders from behind to watch. If Johnny is just chilling on his phone, pony will appear next to him and immediately watch over his shoulder and curl up to Johnny. Johnny’s sleeping at the curtis house that night? You better move to the spare room soda, pony’s gonna sprawl out on the bed and Johnnys right up next to him. Pony hovers a lot around Johnny. It’s an anxiety thing

- (Modern-ish bc reasons I can specify) Pony will sometimes just mess with people’s hair without meaning too. He’s used to being able to fidget with and braid Johnny’s or soda’s hair so when he’s with someone it’s like a habit. He was chilling and yapping with Cherry and Marcia once and just reached for the ends of Cherry’s hair and started braiding. When she asked he was like “oh mb” and she’s like “nah, you’re fine girl” and now they all just do each other’s hair sometimes

- putting this here it’s not a hc but it was GONNA BE until I FORGOT (I am now mad)

- There’s gotta be a reason pony doesn’t like green yall…

- (Modern) pony uses gacha sometimes just to like come up with character designs or if he’s bored, but keeps that shit HIDDEN. if anyone around him (besides maybe Johnny) saw he would NEVER hear the end of it

- Soda likes sweets a lot and has like adhd executive dysfunction which just results in lots of cavities bc it physically pains him to brush his teeth sometimes (so me besides the cavities)

where this AU came from

Curt's absence had stretched on, the reasons behind it buried deep within him. Dwelling on them was a luxury he couldn't afford, not when John provided such a welcome escape.

But, as curious glances morphed into persistent interrogation, the facade began to crumble.

"I don't need you houndin' me like this," Curt grimaced as the harsh liquor burned its way down his throat, a sensation he almost welcomed for its ability to distract. "It was just some bullshit that happened, it don't matter any."

Bucky's gaze fixed on the angry bruise marring the delicate skin of Curt's right cheek, a stark contrast to the usual rosy hue. A scabbed-over gash above his eyebrow added to the image of a boy he hardly recognized. "I haven't seen you in three months, Curtis," Bucky's voice was laden with concern and a frustrated accusation, "And the first time I do, you look like this." He leaned closer, his tone hardening, "Three months."

It begged the question — what had Curt been doing for money?

"I had shit goin' on," Curt retorted, his brows furrowing as he glared at Bucky. "You don't own me, John. Can't buy your possession of me. This ain't layaway." He appeared pale and agitated, a far cry from the self-assured Curtis that Bucky thought he knew. "Or some rent to own shit."

Bucky's gaze fell to his lap, then rose again to meet Curt's eyes. "I know I don't own you," he said softly, never intending to imply otherwise. He understood Curt's lifestyle, or at least the parts he had chosen to reveal, and knew there were probably plenty other men who blocked out days in their travels to spend with Curtis.

“Stop actin’ like I’m your property, then.”

"I'm not," Bucky pressed, refusing to let Curt deflect without some explanation. Possessiveness aside, three months of missed rendezvous and silence deserved at least a few questions. "I thought something bad had happened to you, Curt."

By the looks of it, nothing good had happened either.

“I already told you.” Curt turned to look at him again after another sip from his manhattan. “Nothin’ bad can happen to me.” What a complete lie. He could hardly say it with a straight face. “I’m good. You ain’t gotta worry about that.”

Silence descended, heavy and thick, leaving Bucky to contemplate whether this was the beginning of the end, or perhaps the end had already arrived three months prior.

He had allowed himself to get too close, drawn to the warmth of Curtis until it became an inferno. He had basked in it, absorbed it into his very being.

He had indulged, consumed, and perhaps, ultimately, overstayed his welcome.

Bucky cleared his throat, his fingers nervously tracing the edges of the cocktail menu. "You know what last month was?" he asked, his voice catching slightly as he swallowed. His gaze, though hesitant, eventually met Curt's.

"What?" Curt's voice was clipped, his knuckles turning white as he clenched his fists, his jaw tightening under the strain.

"Been two years since I met you," Bucky revealed, well aware of Curt's aversion to sentimentality. Yet, the growing distance between them fueled an urgency to express his feelings, to try and bridge the gap that seemed to widen with each passing moment.

Three months. Three long, agonizing months.

As his flight touched down and the cabin doors prepared to open, Bucky's fingers would instinctively reach for his phone to send another desperate Hail Mary into the void.

“Do you remember it?” Bucky nudged Curt’s knee with his own, ignoring the strain of his jaw or how his fingers gripped tightly the coat draped around his shoulders. “I took you to Washington Square,” his voice was musing as he recalled it — Curt was a little softer then, but still just as stubborn. “We talked until sunrise.”

Bucky didn’t sleep for two days after. Something had hit his bloodstream like a white hot surge of adrenaline and while he knew he was towing the line, even then, he couldn’t wait until the next day came around that he’d see Curtis again.

He’d get a hit, he’d relish in the high and then he’d fester in the harrowing withdrawal until the cycle would yet again repeat itself.

He had almost resigned himself to a life without Curtis, a life he hadn't known for two years, but one he was forced to accept after three months of silence. Now, sitting at their usual spot in the bar he had frequented daily in the hope of finding Curt, the gash that had begun to heal was ripped open once more, salt packed into the wound.

"Yeah," Curt slid off the barstool, shrugging into his coat and smoothing his palms over the front with a sigh. "Imma have to dip."

Bucky turned, a silent nod the only response he could muster. His throat constricted, as if an invisible hand had tightened its grip, a sensation he had endured for years. He bit his tongue, tasting the metallic tang of blood. Words failed him, despite the torrent of emotions swirling within. "Will I see you again?" he finally choked out.

Curt's lips twisted into a semblance of a frown as he stood before Bucky, a faded echo of the boy he had shared ice cream cones and intimate secrets with. The man who had guided him through uncharted territories of pleasure, and what it meant to love something foolishly. The boy he felt inexplicably connected to, as if their souls had intertwined in a past life. "Don't think so.” Curt's words were a final blow, leaving Bucky blindsided in their wake.

And as quick as Curt came into his life, he left it.

In the space where Curtis once resided, a void opened up, vast and consuming.

Bucky had never experienced such difficulty in healing from a loss. Not the passing of his father, nor the gradual drifting apart from childhood friends due to distance or life changes. Even his first heartbreak paled in comparison to this gaping wound.

This, perhaps, was the first true crack in his foundation, a fissure that threatened to dismantle it all.

His life unfolded before him like a film starring a low budget version of himself, the scenes blurring into a montage of what once was, and the bleakness of what is. And as if orchestrated by some cruel twist of fate, Bucky was served divorce papers at his office one morning, delivered by his own receptionist. It was a low blow, even for Alison, but Bucky took it on the chin.

All three seasons passed.

Bucky sought refuge in a small apartment on Waverley Place in Greenwich Village. Gradually, he stopped searching for Curtis in every face that passed, but only after scouring obituaries and the internet for any trace of him.

The days blurred into a monotonous routine of solitude. Shopping for one, cooking for one, existing for one.

He picked up a few hobbies.

He gave them up.

He distracted himself until he couldn’t anymore.

Alcohol became his primary coping mechanism, a temporary anesthetic that numbed the ache in his chest. It was a vicious cycle of filling the Curt-shaped void, only to have it reappear, demanding more.

One evening, following a particularly heavy bout of drinking in the city, Bucky lay sprawled on his living room floor, his gaze fixed on the ceiling, his mind adrift. The persistent buzzing in his back pocket eventually pierced through his stupor, pulling him back down to earth.

“Christ, Gale.” Bucky murmured once he’d pressed his phone to his ear without giving it another glance. “I share my location with y’so you don’t do this.”

There was a silence on the other end, nothing but a shallow breath.

“Gale?”

Bucky held his phone before his eyes instead, squinting at the unfamiliar number displayed on the screen. "Fuck," he muttered under his breath before pressing the phone to his ear again. "Who's this?"

Silence met his question, and his heart pounded against his ribs, a frantic drumbeat of anticipation.

Then, a voice, sweet and familiar, broke through the quiet. "I lost your number, Bucky," it said, a tremor of vulnerability in its tone. "I - I had no way of findin’ it. My phone was jacked."

Perhaps that would explain all of Bucky’s texts that never delivered.

"I been livin' in Queens. I got my own place, Bucky. I stopped turnin' tricks. I have a cat," Curt's voice poured through the receiver, each word a revelation, a glimpse into a life Bucky had yearned to know about. These were the things Curt had desperately wanted to share, but every attempt to reach Bucky had been met with a dead end. "I named her Judy," he added, his voice softening.

Bucky’s buzz had been knocked right out of him like a stick to a hornets nest, crashing viciously into the grass and exploding into clouds of confused and tormented insects who had worked so hard to build what they had — just to be knocked back down yet again.

"Bucky?" Curt's pressed his phone closer to his ear, as if to pull Bucky to him. "You there?"

Oh, the nights he’d spent. A grown man. He had cried until his lungs bled, he’d drank himself sober. He hid behind closed blinds, a locked door. Do not disturb, offline, last seen 2 months ago, his own radio silence, his own self-imposed exile — after a while, he hardly looked like himself until Gale intervened and forced him back out into society.

It took so much work to get here, and yet he still had so much more healing to do.

Daily affirmations, meditation, individual therapy, group therapy, psychotherapy, body, mind, soul. The three pillars of sobriety; ten days sober, twenty days sober, five days sober, zero. Piano, guitar, knitting, baking. SSRI, SNRI, MAOI, treatment resistant.

Curt, on the other end of the line, drew his knees to his chest, clutching the phone as if it were a lifeline connecting him to Bucky. "I got a lotta regrets in this life, Bucky," he confessed. Despite his youth, he felt the burden of countless lifetimes. "Biggest regret I got is walkin' away from you."

Alright headcanons about the old hunters squad pets !

I already drew a few things about it too, so you can find it around my blog, such as Gehrman's dog, Maria's crow(s) (I will re talk about this), Dores' snake + the various horses of some people. (i will just put the newest drawings i made here)

To begin, Ludwig. He absolutely loved horses, but didn't officially had one when he was younger. Instead he got a lil shetland pony ! his placeholder name his Leonard XD

He hang a lot around the horses at Byrgenwerth a lot. Maria even let him take care of her own ! (But eventually she will ended up with 2 others horses, 2 of the lil knights I drew not to long ago...) and Gehrman and her are with them most of the time. But Ludwig might got one of those 2 as well maybe…

She had crows too (already draw it as well). Ludwig might get a crow too have some point (see the carillon crow with his rune in the research hall lol). And when she was little I imagined Russian hounds would fit well !

Speaking of Crow my oc mister first royal guard, Vledemyr basically take care of the ones at Cainhurst (I think I'm really gonna nickname him the black hound or the raven of Cainhurst XD) yes he's link with bloody crow but shhhhh

And Little future bloody crow too (Voron) ! <3

Caryll had some augurs. lots of people did. (Rom (had bugs & spiders too) & Maybe Mico, Damian? etc). Laurence have a small white horse as Vicar too XD

I hc Paarl was the dog handler of Mensis too

Someone probably had a lab rat / mouse xD

And well there's Gehrman's (Irish) hound ! Before hunters had dobermans, then Irish hounds for bigger beasts right ? I like to represents that transition. He got one of the first new hounds (some years after Maria passed away). She was a really good dog ;-; i need a name for her (also just imagining our 50y old depressed hunter with 1O pups at some points is really funny XD)

I also think he had hounds when he was little. And my friend think he had a mule!

(So the little dog is from an AU actually,the happy one when no one die and gehr & mar have a little cottage in the woods) my friend influence me for the dog xD i found it really cute) i need a name for this lil guy. (thanks Robbie for supporting me on this XD)

Currently Reading: I have been trying to plough my way through affinity by Sarah Waters for MONTHS now and I still haven’t finished it (largely because I read before going to bed and I just start zzz-ing as soon as my head hits the pillow) but before then it was I’m glad my mom died by Janette McCurdy and the Paying Guests - Sarah Waters, both of which I’d seriously recommend. 

Currently Watching: For two and a half years I’ve had people on my case telling me to watch Grey’s Anatomy and I’ve finally started it, I love dramas about blue light professionals (I mean Ashes and Mars, Chicago Fire / Med, Line of Duty, I’m obsessed) and I’m excited to see where the story goes as I’m only on series two. 

Currently Consuming: Water and some Cashews bc I’m not feeling very well

Currently Craving: Nesquik Cereal but I don’t want to leave my house to go and get it because it’s very cold (-2).

OK, so I'm losing my mind. I've been thinking all day long, and I just got to get this idea out there, but the plot starts with my oc Day dream, a unicorn who is a doomsday preper going to princess celestia about some concern (and at that point I went to c ai which I hate to use but alas. It gave me some good ideas on how the ponys would go about making a base on the Mars) look at part one of this post

Then I went to the next ai, rarity, and I know that she may seem like an odd choice but I don't think that she is shown generous enough in the show and she is a multi billionaire if you think about it she is the perfect candidate. The ai sucked but i gave myself some ideas by bouncing them off of the ai rarity like the portal idea the story and be about building the oasis and the rocket to get the other side of the portal up there on Mars.

I move to the next ai because it felt right at that point I wanted to see if an ai had ideas for the next part the portal I know that portal are a possibility in the mlp FIM world due to the human world (and I know that it's in a another dimension I don't care ) I think I could do bullshit science for a portal

Next is the job fair I want to see pony ocs for this hypothetical au I can make a list of jobs I think would be needed and what part of the mane six the oc would be working under
