So, in relation to my post about trying ASMR, but as a separate thing: I'm thinking about recording myself reading my yandere writings (chapter by chapter) and maybe having some of those on a Patreon.

This is just a demo/practice, but I thought I'd share it. I think I accidentally used my Izuru Kamukura voice for Edmund, lol.

This is a clip from a reading of the first chapter of Ah, But It's Cold Outside. (In the future, I believe I'll change the word "lamely" to something else, as I've been informed it's not a great choice of words.) I think engaging with earlier chapters of my work help me to stave off writer's block.

Life pro tip: when recording podfic for the first time, do not pick a 10k word fic. Or longer. Go with like, a couple thousand words at most.

You never realize how much 10,000 words is until you're reading it out loud and realizing this is going to be at LEAST an hour long.

i was going through some files and whatnot today and remembered that i had started to record a podfic of my Braxiatel character study And They Became Monsters (the fall of great men) awhile back. i had sort of planned to do a full podfic (and might still do one day!) but i fell off of it for various reasons. not least because the best microphone i have is connected to my shitty $8 earburds.

but anyways, it might be a little cringy & pretentious but here's the first and only chapter i did. i'm proud of making this despite the shitty British accent i use for a few lines (sorry to any Brits but i tried to do it all in an American accent and it wasn't working that way either). anyways if you haven't read the fic please feel free to listen and check the rest out on ao3!

Tonight, a podfic of BBC Merlin fic "Protecting the Innocent" written by @meridianrose that was published in 2010 (according to AO3)! This podfic was originally recorded for Voiceteam round 3 this year before I ended up getting all my points for that round somewhat accidentally anyway lol. When I had no Internet a couple weeks back, I found this on my computer and finally edited it, so I'm posting it now that archive.org is back up.
