I hate that they didn’t make it this time around even if the basis of this wc was a mess. I feel like they’re in a transitional period rn (so to speak) like it’s crazy how much has changed since their euros run last summer. leadership changed, new players here, “older” players gone, I think it was a matter of finding footing and staying consistent… which is difficult for all teams tbh

I feel like it’s definitely possible for them to be there ‘26. they have enough time to fix the issues that prevented them from qualifying this time. and hopefully no major injuries get in the way again (chiesa’s absence played a huge role), more confidence in the squad too I hope
