did you know? today is world oarfish day! i recently found out oarfish eat krill, and this reminded me of a game i play quite frequently, called Sky: Children of the Light. in this game, there are hostile creatures called Dark Dragons, but the sky community usually refers to them as krill. i thought itd be fun to add oarfish to sky, to roam golden wasteland and attack the krill, so! for world oarfish day, i have drawn this! oarfish in the style of sky's giant light creatures! i think itd fit in pretty well with sky's mantas and whales

two color versions! one with a blue background, cause i think it looks better, and one with a green background, to fit the color scheme of golden wasteland, which is probably the area these guys would inhabit.

so if youll excuse my still-practicing pixel art (i did end up grabbing the hat and pistol off a clover spritesheet on spriters resource though, and the pose and poncho were built off a couple kris sprites), a small sprite edit, and a maybe-meh teen clover design:

also i made clover a teen just to set this version of them apart, plus a blue, starry poncho instead of their usual bandana, and spurs on their boots

an au where after the events of yellows merciless run, frisk still falls down mt ebott, whether because of clover, or their own reason,

but clover, who once made the climb themself to get vengeance for the other 5 fallen humans, isnt about to let yet another go missing under their watch, and decides to chase after them, and bring them back home. by force, if necessary.

so it ends up with frisks journey through the underground being constantly chased by clover. and while clover doesnt want to intentionally hurt frisk, since their motivation is the "protection" of humankind, it would still no doubt be terrifying for frisk, and clover WILL hurt the monsters.

ruins end up being mostly the same, minus clovers pursuit. toriel, still locked in the ruins, probably wouldnt have heard about asgores death, and would only realize upon seeing clover, grown up, covered in dust, and detached from the world around them.

outside though, things would take a much more bleak turn.

the royal guard is more present after a surge of recruitment, monsters have mostly accepted that theyre stuck down there for eternity, some making the most of it and trying to live happily, others not so much. and when it comes to humans, monsterkind is just a little more on-edge.

papyrus also ends up being recruited, however hes only a lookout/watchman, and not a fully-fledged guardsman, due to undynes biases. she WOULD have preferred he wasnt hired at all, but the guard was desperate, and didnt have many other volunteers

also due to hotlands evacuation at the time, martlets final stand is mostly forgotten, only seen as a rumor with little ground. the only thing people know of is that there was a strange withered flower on the roof of the apartments, but no one thinks anything of it. there is, however, still a lingering resentment in the air around it that makes monsters uneasy, but also weirdly enough, like theres someone watching over all of them

other than that, im not too sure where this au would go, how frisk would end up dealing with clover by the end, or even if frisk would end up in places like the dunes or steamworks, or if theyd stick to roughly the same areas.

i mostly just thought itd be interesting to start to imagine how different things would be, and considering clovers personality and motivations in merciless, i thought itd be interesting if they became an antagonist, following frisk down to drag them back

i might think more on this and add stuff onto it in the future, but for right now this is all there is, but people are free to build on it in their own ways, if they like!! (and/or send an ask and i can TRY to think of an answer, but knowing myself i cant promise anything)

If emilia had known all the manipulative and deceitful shit that echidna did to subaru in greed If and how fucked up subaru became under her influence, and how much Echidna despised everything about her and saw her as a useless, annoying naive doll, and eventually found out that Echidna was in fact so greedy and inhuman, do you think she would have changed her mind about Echidna and started to wary and disgusted by her? (Plus the talk of Beatrice waiting 400 years in Arc 4's Dream Castle would probably add fuel to the fire)

YES. absolutely. yes. itd be barely even a question, of course emilia would be wary of echidna and disgusted by echidnas actions if she (emilia) ever found this out. but im gonna explain why i think this🙏

we see some major instances of emilia standing up for herself—the biggest examples include her post arc 4 development, also her being mad about subaru calling her satella in arc 1, her arc 3 speech to the royal council (that was sadly glossed over in the anime but you can see it in the manga and its SUPER badass) and also her arc 3 fallout with subaru, etc etc. but the ones where she has more of a negative reaction, ie the arc 1 example and the arc 3 fallout with subaru—are particularly interesting to me.

the arc 1 example shows her standing up for herself with something that was done to her directly. subaru called her satella in public when shes already out there showing her face and being judged as she always is, but people arent usually so bold as to directly call her satella. its why she gets pissed—its a very personal insult, and its one that shes had to deal with for almost her entire life due to more factors out of her control (which is a reoccurring theme with her—shes rarely fully in control of many things in her life). this also is you know one of the examples where she DOES stand up for herself!!

but regarding the arc 3 fallout—yes, of course shes upset that subaru humiliated her at the royal selection when shes already bound to have a hard time because shes a half elf. of course shes upset that subaru broke his promise (especially when you remember her trauma with that), and of course shes upset because subaru absolutely looks like a massive liar right now (especially when you remember her trauma with that) and again, didnt keep his promise. but its interesting to note that emilia has this huge guilt complex regarding people being hurt because of her in some way (which isnt her fault at ALL but thats how it feels to her and this is how its often justified by perpetrators in universe!!). puck even tells her in memory snow that subaru keeps getting hurt because of her because puck is a shit father. so yes, emilia is upset that subarus hurt her, but so much of her dialogue in their arc 3 fallout is about how subaru got hurt because of her, and how she doesnt want subaru to be hurt anymore. a big part of why she leaves subaru then is because of that!! she was personally hurt, her trauma has been triggered by this too, shes been publicly humiliated on a deep level when shes already bound to struggle in the selection, and yet shes thinking more about subaru in this instance. that says so much about her.

and once you get to post arc 4 emilia in general—this is an emilia who is grown and is still struggling with her deepest insecurities but shes finally started to face them head on. of course shes gonna feel disgusted by what echidna did to subaru (and beatrice!!) if she ever found out—subaru and beatrice are very dear to emilia, and theyre the two people emilia is closest with thatve been affected by echidna the most.

i just think that on the scale of things echidna has done, emilia would care the least about how echidna feels about her specifically. not in the sense that emilia wouldnt care, because she does. she cares deeply about what others think of her and she always tries to be kind and nice and proper. she always tries to prove herself to others because she always has something to prove. shes the half devil, and shes someone whos often overshadowed both in universe and narratively.

echidnas feelings on her are only unique in its intensity and mystery—we see echidnas face scrunch up and she looks and sounds like shes going to cry when she admits in the anime that she hates emilia. we dont know why, only that this is the one and Only time we echidna with such negative emotions of this caliber? but echidna is probably far from the only person in the world to hate emilia and see her as useless and annoying and naive. and echidna is most definitely not the only person to hate emilia in the first place for various reasons.

emilia is extremely aware of just how many people despise her. how could she not when its connected to her appearance and existence? shes reminded of that like 90% of the time she steps outside. or when she thinks about other demihumans or about the fate of her own people. would it still sting for emilia to learn about the full depth of echidnas hatred? yeah, because like i said, echidna really has a personal vendetta against emilia, and also because this is all poking and prodding at the same core insecurities emilia has—that emilia is and will always be some useless doll thats paraded around. would it make emilia a little wary because echidna has a personal grudge? yes. of course. when theres a threat to emilia herself personally, that tends to extend for other people (such as her camp), so she unfortunately has to think about that. and of course emilia would probably also be wondering Why its so personal for echidna.

but emilia will IMMEDIATELY fixate more on the fact that echidna deeply hurt beatrice and subaru.

emilia is someone whos hated by the world, someone whos near constantly targeted unfairly in various ways—but she continually chooses to try and be kind and try to keep her courage and try to do the right thing even as shes completely terrified. shes deeply scared to hurt others due to her traumas and Various Experiences. she may not be entirely certain what love is, but she has felt it numerous times and loves her loved ones a lot. she cant fathom someone like echidna, who locked her own daughter in the library to wait for a person who isnt real just so echidna could watch and see what happens. echidna used her own daughter like some sick twisted lab experiment, and emilia would be even more deeply uncomfortable when you remember that she too was put in a princess room by her mother figure (which was well meaning and WAY different than beatrice of course, but im sure the room parallel would be Uncomfy anyway). and beatrice was waiting for 400 years too, emilias going to be so grief stricken and angry on beatrices behalf!!

and subaru's behalf too!! but let me go deeper into explaining greed if first.

when it comes to greed if, i dont like to entirely attribute everything to echidna here—mainly because i dont want to ignore subarus agency in all of this. subaru is the antithesis to someone like emilia or reinhard—subaru has infinite choices. hes choice itself. he can change in any direction and make whatever choices he wants and nothing can stop him once he sets his mind to something.

and greed if subaru continually makes decisions that makes him and everyone around him worse. he threatens felt and rom to leave the election to manipulate reinhard into joining him. he holds meili hostage in a cell to control elsa. characters like garfiel and ram understandably resent him for his manipulative bullshit. otto leaves because of it. emilia and beatrice’s mental health are completely and utterly destroyed because of his actions. yes, echidna is VERY MUCH to blame for how subaru ended up. he accepted her contract when he was vulnerable and at his lowest point, and now hes in this horribly toxic dependent relationship with her because shes the only one he can confide in. she helps him plan things, she helps him move things along. shes made him worse all this time, and while she plays a HUGE role in greed if for this reason, subaru continually makes the choice each and every single time to keep going down this path. he can try and turn around at any point, but he doesnt. hes a horrible person now, which i think should always be remembered in general for the vast majority of the ifs. he is a victim and a perpetrator at the same time. hes not innocent anymore—everyone is ultimately stuck under his control in greed if because he’ll just keep abusing rbd until he gets what he wants. no one whos near subaru has any free will here. echidna whispers in subarus ear and subaru chooses to listen to her and make more shit decisions.

is echidna guilty for essentially manipulating subaru into accepting her contract and becoming worse as a result? yes. is subaru guilty for doing all the things he did following accepting the contract? yes. these two things coexist. granted, i would still give echidna more of the responsibility for greed if of course, i just don't want to ignore what subarus been doing either hah.

but basically emilia finding out about all of this gets extremely complicated Very Fast.

to find out the full extent of the shit echidna does to subaru in greed if, emilia would have to know about rbd. and emilia finding out rbd is a whole other complicated subject on its own, but long story short, her guilt complex regarding hurting other people is gonna really FLARE UP. her worst fears have basically been confirmed with the existence of rbd because subaru has chosen time and time again to be involved with her, and being involved with her unfortunately means that he gets caught in the crossfire of ALL the things that keep trying to hurt emilia (which again isnt her fault and she has no control over any of this happening). so theres the double whammy of 1. emilia finds out rbd and 2. emilia finds out about greed if which brings whole other layer to this.

emilia is inevitably going to be horribly horribly guilty and In Despair over rbd. but then theres greed if, which shows echidna taking advantage of subaru for her own greed, subaru growing Worse because of echidna, and greed emilia also growing Worse in addition to everyone else involved in all of this. this is absolutely horrifying on multiple levels. OF COURSE shes also angry and grief stricken on subarus behalf—from her perspective, subaru has gotten hurt because of her and other people Repeatedly. she WILL blame herself for not doing enough (even though again, subaru and the people around them have made their own choices). she'll get angry and upset that subaru has even had to carry a burden like this alone, that hes been hurt so many times, and the fact that emilia herself is at the core of all of this. thats absolutely fucking terrifying. subaru has gone all this way for her. from her perspective—how can she possibly make up for all of this? she cant.

and then it gets even more terrifying because greed if subaru is a dark version of him that takes all his ugly traits and exerts control over everyone around him. hes miserable. hes horrifying. hes quite frankly an eldritch horror masquerading as this smiling mannequin version of natsuki subaru. and if emilias finding out about greed if, she has to find out about this other version of her thats all her worst traits amplified as well—shes a useless doll in the sense that greed if subaru removed emilias choices and did everything for her. hes the new puck to her, and puck was already a terrible parent by also exerting control over emilia in his own ways only to do horrible shit (see: destroying the whole world after she dies) behind her back. you know what that sounds like? subaru. and greed if subaru continues to enable this in emilia—hes responsible for her turning out this way and he continues to take care of her by doing everything for her because he now has this emilia that wants to bend to his every whim and follow everything he tells her to do. thats all she has left. subarus actions caused her to snap in this way because he never gave her a chance to actually flourish on her own. he never tried to help her rather than control her. and its why, in all her instability, she nearly freezes everything around her every time she gets angry and upset (see: her nearly having a breakdown after seeing subaru got hurt because of beatrice). greed if subaru has essentially gotten his "dream girl" in the worst way possible—emilia is now fully and completely dependent on him. she never had the chance to be otherwise.

its so incredibly clear when you read greed if that the moment emilia gets on the throne of lugunica, because she will, because subaru will absolutely make that happen, emilia will become a puppet ruler because shes too mentally unstable now to actually rule. because again, subarus made the choices for her this whole time, and it broke her.

greed if beatrice is also similar because really all subaru did was drag her kicking and screaming out of that burning mansion. yeah, from his perspective, what other choice did he have? he had to save beatrice. and theres no denying that greed if subaru has good intentions, but he has a hard time seeing and treating the others as people. theyre just like dolls that he has to drag around, and then he has this whole list of people that need saving, a whole quota he has to fulfill, so he drags them kicking and screaming along with him instead of talking to them as equals. as people.

greed if subaru is the subaru that keeps abusing rbd and going back in time over and over again, but not once is he actually using it to do something like, i dont know, wholeheartedly try to save beatrice by letting her make the choice to save herself like in canon main route arc 4. instead he just dooms her by never letting her choose and by never even trying to talk her out of it. or maybe he has, but he never understood how to do that in the right way. main route subaru figured it out by fully taking the time to understand her on a deep level and empathize with her. beatrice was the one to make the choice to save herself. greed if subarus had Infinite Tries and he never figured out how to actually save beatrice. mainbaru treated beatrice like her own person. greedbaru treats beatrice, and many other people, INCLUDING HIMSELF, like an object. he doesnt save them because he sincerely loves them, at this point. or maybe he does, but its not in a healthy way because hes just saving them because he has to. its an oligation, not a sincere desire to see them happy and safe and fulfilled in ways thats good for them.

and main emilia, i think, would Absolutely be horrified by herself. and i think shed pity greed emilia, but she'd also be disgusted. greed emilia is everything that emilia has hated about herself. greed emilia is the worst of her personified. but emilia would pity her. greed emilia has zero control over herself, her emotions, her own life. the two most important men in her life—puck and subaru—hurt her so deeply that shes just that far gone. and main emilia would be horrified by greed subaru of course, but i think shed be disgusted by all his manipulation. its sad and pathetic and Terrifying to watch. but of course its complicated.

and i hate the idea that emilia cant handle anything complicated (which tappei continues to push forward because hes fixated on making emilia "stupid" and "pure" and "innocent"), but while i think emilia would struggle to wrap her mind around all of this (because honestly who WOULDNT be struggling to do that with all of this shit aljsdlfjsdf), emilia would try her best. and she'd turn to echidna more because subaru wouldnt have turned out that way without echidnas influence. greed if subaru, after all, is still a victim. an imperfect victim, but still a victim, at the end of the day. but i think emilia would eventually have to reconcile that puck, while he did love her, wasnt the best (AT LEAST more than what she already kinda did in arc 4, because she doesnt know the full extent). he was far from it. he failed her in a lot of ways. hes hurt a lot of people. and emilia would have to know that subaru is capable of doing these horrible things too, but the subaru she knows and loves now is far different. shes sorry that hes had to deal with all of this alone. she'd be deeply sorry for greed if subaru, even. these things have nuances and i fully believe emilia will be able to understand even if it takes her some time to do so (because again—WHO WOULDNT feel complicated feelings about this??).

its like how subaru continually forgives the people around him for things theyve done in other timelines—theyre not the same people in the main timeline now. emilia would recognize that, because she herself is someone who sees the ugliness of the world, someone whos experienced it, and someone who wants to reject it all and try her best to choose kindness and love. and she knows that shes capable of that same ugliness too (see: greed if emilia) (see: her killing pandora numerous times after pandora tore apart her family and home) (see: her doing the arc 3 fallout with subaru) (see: her accidentally hurting others in frozen bonds) (see: her accidentally freezing her people) (see: her lowest points in arc 4). but—isn't that part of being human?

i do think that despite everything, emilia would pity echidna a bit. echidna, who deeply loathes her but is driven to tears over it for Unknown Reasons. of course that wont stop emilia from being disgusted by echidnas actions though.

yeah so anyway tldr: emilia deserves to go absolutely feral because i absolutely think she would go apeshit on echidna if she found out about what echidna did to beatrice and subaru. shes fully capable of it and we've seen her go feral multiple times okay. the moment she finds out about her loved ones being hurt shes gonna be like cradling them gently to her chest and then she turns around and goes feral on whoever hurt them 😭 it is SO over for echidna. (AND GREEDBARU, if emilia had the chance to.)

My brother is trying to cosplay him, do you have any tips?

Oh man Senshi involved a LOT of firsts for me cosplay-wise, so I am not sure I did everything in the best or most efficient way. But! Here is a quick rundown of what I did. Skirt and Bracers w/ the fur: - this is a pretty basic sewing project! i just bought some brown faux-leather at joanns and made some slightly tapered tubes based on my waist and arm measurements. very easy and very little patterning involved!

The top: - literally just wore a gray tank top i already had

The armor: - Oh man okay this was my first time doing proper EVA foam armor, so take everything I say with a grain of salt BUT!! basically, I patterned everything out in paper first to get a decent idea of how it would fit on me. then i traced it out on some EVA foam rolls I had lying around from other cosplay prop builds, just a little bigger than my paper mock-ups to account for The Thickness of the foam. -The helmet was absolutely the hardest part and my main advice here is to be at peace with the idea that you may have to redo a lot of stuff and build a lot of prototypes to get that thing to fit your head right. - Once you have the foam base, you can build on top of it with foam clay to clean up the seams/add more organic shapes and details/etc. and if you use water to blend it in with the foam it can turn out reeeeally nice and seamless! I got all those supplies at michaels. -then after making sure all of that is nice and smooth and sculpted how you want it, you can sand and carve in any last details. THEN it's time to seal that shit for painting and durability! -for this, i used Plasti-Dip. it is basically a spray paint that creates a rubberized coating over top of the foam. this means the foam wont just soak up the paint when you apply it, AND it helps stiffen everything up a bit while still leaving it flexible AND toughening it up against dings and dents. -then painting! my biggest painting tip is WEATHER THAT SHIT!!! painting a single solid color can get it all unified but what'll really sell the look is going back over those base colors with watered down black to get it into all the little imperfections and stay there, bring out the details and add texture. makes the armor feel lived-in! -ALL THAT SAID: I actually found out later that a number of people have put out 3D print files for the various armor bits AND the helmet, so if you either HAVE a 3D printer or are willing to shell out for somebody else to print those for you to assemble, that might be an easier way to go about it! all up to you, i cant vouch for how that goes re: fitting it to your specific body and all that, plus idk how comfy itd be in comparison? but it certainly seems easier lol The sandals: -same as above only i attached the armor bits to a pair of flip flops i already had and thought were comfy. senshis foot armor situation is kinda wacky ngl. i have no idea what that weird crescenty bit on top of his toes is for. but thats what the reference images show sooo what can ya do.

THE BEARD: -oh man so this was another first but i REAAAAALLY loved the result. okay so my tip is this: if you want your wig and beard to match exactly? just buy two of the same wig. one goes on your head, and one gets flipped turned upside down and cut into a beard shape!!! -i will tell you a cheap lace-front wig is a LOT more affordable than one of those fancy hand-laced beard pieces, and it LOOKS waaaay better than like, the usual party city fake pirate beard you will probably find when searching for affordable costume facial hair, particularly if he's gonna want the option to remove the helmet and go full Hot Senshi Mode.

-literally i just had to cut a hole in the wig for my mouth and trim up a decent mustache above the mouth hole. -then you can use the little uhh.... elasticky bits? with the hooks?? that go inside the wig and help you adjust it to your head size? i literally just stretched them up and hooked them onto my wig cap and i BARELY needed to tack anything down with spirit gum. it held that thing up like a fucking champ and, all things considered, was pretty comfy!! didnt have to hook anything over my ears or anything!! -oh if you dont have any experience with spirit gum tho MAKE SURE YOU ALSO PURCHASE SPIRIT GUM REMOVER. it leaves such a nasty residue after, and its a son of a bitch to scrub off. i super recommend the remover.

oh and remember to add some blush to your nose when you go out wearing the full thing. rly adds to the overall Senshi effect i think! uhhh i think thats it??? for senshi's pan i literally just bought like a big fucking wok and strapped it to my back. it wasnt as heavy as youd think tbh but then i am kind of a tryhard. and for the little walking mushroom... idk! my mom crocheted it for me a while back and i thought it would be a really cute prop!

IM UNFOLLOWING THAT DUMB GUY BRO HES so >:( bc he would lowkey pretend I didn’t exist even tho I actually put in sm effort to make sure I didn’t freak out around him for the virtue that he’s a guy. renault: the last member of the treble trouble five! please add him soon! i think hes really fascinating in the story of 7, being a man on a redemption arc from like. a really bad path, which you like never see in the fe series (but hey. maybe mauvier or whatever? tbh he gives me hendrik vibes a little). hes fascinating in the story and his supports are a wide range of emotions, from being comical like in bartre’s to being depressing in most of the others. i dont fucking give a darn abt the main villain of 7 but if they add him theyd better add renault too (or alternatively id also take fallen renault when he was still on life essence juice)

amalda: the unofficial sixth ranger of tt5! i also want her to be added soon but idk if ever soon (since shes a route split tho maybe she could be a ghb! please gosh). like renault i think shes really interesting for a character standpoint, shes one of the people who opposed fucking kidnapping children and actually rescued children (and not after helping to kidnap and kill them shaking my head at last years 4 banner specifically), but harbors a guilty conscience bc of the blood she’s spilled as a soldier, and is torn emotionally of whether to stay loyal to friege or not. tbh she and renault have a lot of same energy and i love them both.

jeritza: pre timeskip i am begging. hes just really cool before it, and would make a great ghb (tho thats probably unlikely). just let him keep the mask i am foaming at the mouth. i didnt really care for how he was treated after the timeskip and tbh in general, but i still like his character even tho i have issues w the canon writing. he deserves better tldr

ilios: this year was rally 5 bc i love them and want them added! ilios is fun, and like amalda i feel like he has a good chance to be ghb material (like. if they add fred or whatever his name is? olwen’s friend? they could have ghb of him), he even has a support/conversation/thingy with karin itd be great. (honestly their banter was funny! tho i want that sword guy from 5 too bc i liked the dynamic between him and her lol. and i want halvan too, and dagdar) but yea ilios! hes a fun character, i have noticed i have a soft spot for guys with sticks up their butts lol. i agree w karin tho his obsession w his name and stiff personality is fun to tease

shannam: the funniest boy! the only person in the world who it is ok to call a sussy baka lol. his entire concept of a character is so funny, hes essentially a con man impersonating the prince but hes kind of an idiot and a little flaky. and gosh do i love me a good con man. his friendship w homeros is fun, and oh gosh when mareeta referenced him in her crit line i was like -pointing guy meme- please come home.

homer: chaotic music boy hours! gosh i think he did well last year i would love for him to be added. hes canonically a tome but they could make him a musician dancer like nils that would be fun! (unlikely but fun). hes just the hornyman(tm) but has a laser focus for horny, except the person he tries to be horny with i think punches him and cries bc hes so pathetic so he joins your party. hes a cool grey morality character and i dig that so much. plus his friendship w shannam is very good too. i swear if we got the boys(tm) id cry happy tears (w ghb ilios! that would be the dream lol. amalda ig would have to be gacha cries)

im not sure if theyll mention it but kouno did ask uisama and nonsuke what kaho and kozue's relationship is and after a pause they said "senpai and kouhai" lol

kouno says she's been really looking forward to this. before they started staff-san said its probably the first time theyve seen each other since ijigen and kouno was like "yeah.." because she actually went to liella 5th lol. she wants the liella 5th bd to be released already and sakuchan thanks her for always saying such nice things about liella on twitter [she was a really big liella fan even before ijigen]

kouno says she's really glad for this radio so she can talk about everything she loves

they all tell uisama how happy they were to be able to sing hasu-san's song and how cute it is

kouno says cerise bouquet-san does the chorus in a beautiful falsetto that she wanted to respect but since its ijigen, kaho (her character is also called kaho) doesn't use falsetto, so she sung it regularly. it was probably the song she was most nervous about

uisama tells a story from rehearsals where as part of the choreography she put her arm around sakakura-san's waist, but it was their first time, so sakuchan got really surprised

sakuchan says she was also thinking about telling this story, and that that moment when they all came together and uisama got really close to her made her really nervous w

so uisama says she realised sakuchan was feeling shy around her and she thought if she said something to her it'd help. so she asked if itd be alright for her to put her arm around her waist

uisama then says after watching the video she realises maybe the issue was she reached around sakakura-san's waist too much so it was probably her fault

sakuchan says fortune movie was what brought them closer though and how they were able to start talking and begin their friendship (uisama says they went home together too) (background kouno otaku screeching)

kouri says that the pair from million live, yabuki kana and her character, sakuramori kaori, both love music, so she was really glad to sing such a cute pop song with her

she also says that something about the image of fortune movie, maybe its cuteness, was really fresh for her to sing. uisama says perhaps because there are so many cool songs, but kouri says there are a lot of cute songs too, there's just something different about fortune movie

kouno and kouri go on about how cute the choreography is and kouno says she wishes she could see the originals-san perform it (since the ijigen version is different)

sakuchan points out fortune movie is the first time the onitsuka sisters have performed together outside of the group and thanks everyone supporting them

they move on to thank you! which was sung by hasunosora and shiny colors, although its actually a million live song. as a million live member, kouri says she could really feel how everyone sang it with care. plus they were all so cute

kouri continues saying there's something special about a festival like ijigen, where members of a different work can sing a song from your own. different members performing it differently makes it feel really fresh and brings out new colours

kouno says for her, of course it was a contest, so there was a sense of rivalry that made her want to do her best, but on the other hand, she was really forward to it so much. she spent a lot of time rehearsing and thinking about the performance, and she often felt she had to come up with something new so people wouldn't be disappointed, but when she saw everyone lined up, she realised they're all idols, and they all have the same heart. so in that sense, all of it didn't really matter, because they're all idols

sakuchan adds imas and love live are different, but they all came together as one to entertain the people supporting them

after watching dancing raspberry, sakuchan reveals to the others that at the time of ijigen, she had made her debut only around six months earlier and in fact, the airing of this radio marks her one year anniversary!

sakuchan says that as dancing raspberry was on the centre stage, she could feel being watched from every angle

kouno gushes over dancing raspberry and says it feels like a song they must have done many times before. sakuchan says they really hadn't, but she had seen cerise bouquet-san perform a few songs earlier, and so decided she needed to do her best too

uisama says that even though they're both from love live, hasunosora mainly does unit activities, whereas liella does group activities and formed units later. it makes her think how much they must have to practice, and their level of perfection is amazing

kouno says sakuchan's voice is so innocent and she really wants to know more about tomari. sakuchan says tomari-chan is cool and composed, but she's still only a first year and she loves her big sister, so that gap of hers is cute. she's only recently been able to express her in lives though, so she'd really like to be able to convey her to them again one day (everyone squealing over how cute sakuchan is)

they move on to songs they personally loved, and uisama starts them off by saying she really likes 5yncri5e-san's outfits. they have lots of zips (made zipping noises, she forgot what they were called), and she asked if she could unzip them-(sounds of protest)-not in a weird way!! when they were taking a group photo she wondered if the zips were actually functional, so she was just messing around with the one on kumachan's leg. and her chest

sakuchan says she really likes imas-san's outfits too. theyre a bit different to love live's but theyre like The idol outfits, with their shorter frilly skirts. she's thought theyre really cute since rehearsals

kouno points out that the third and fourth songs on the day 2 setlist, vitamin summer [she does call it vitasummer sasuga] and shinography, were both composed and arranged by the same person, hige driver!

also, the twelfth and thirteenth songs were nonfiction hero show and gakusai kakumei yoakemae, which is by kouno's kaho's unit, and kaho loves heroes!

kouri highlights tracing defender for how cool it was and how fresh it was to have a performer from every group. kouno adds its a song by straylight, whose songs are all very danceable, and she really recommends them. she also brings up jungle party from million-san, and sakuchan says its a cool song that has many opportunities to say "yay!" that liella songs don't

the song that moved uisama, right from rehearsals, was the first song on day 1, aozora jumping heart. everyone got to join in a little, and she never thought she'd be able to sing a senpai's song with them, and it made her and the other hasu members emotional

kouri's backstage anecdote is actually about the fortune movie lessons. she did them with tanaka yuki and kido ibuki, since kouno wasn't able to make them and so had lessons on her own. but even though she wasn't there, tanaka thought up a lot of poses for her to do since fortune movie had quite a lot of freedom. kana and kaori both love music, so they decided to make musical note poses

kouno's story is that everyone from love live besides hasu-san were wearing headset mics so she could hear all their chatter lol. sakuchan says since all their iems used the same lines she could hear imas singing in her ears and they were all really good

sakuchan's story is that during rehearsals they had mic and camera checks where everyone got a close up on the screen while they introduced themselves, and aqours-san made funny faces or did gyaru peace signs, which calmed the nervous atmosphere a little. sasuga senpai. she's always loved them, but them pulling everyone ahead made her love them even more

predictably uisama's is about being able to sing aqours-san's my mai tonight, the centre song of her oshi. its a very precious song to her, so she was worrying over how to perform it. at first, she only rehearsed with maruoka-san, who plays rinze-chan, who has a very traditional feel, so she realised this was a traditional unit, but later koichi-san was added. and when she saw her for the first time, she was so cool, and she was able to understand her character's personality from her performance. also, things like koichi-san's kick during the real performance were all ad libs

uisama had such great love for my mai tonight that she didn't know if she could do it, but it was koichi-san who made her realise its a japanese rock song, and she was in charge of the japanese and koichi-san was in charge of the rock

kouno is in the same unit as maruoka, and she says she's really only been able to do traditional styles in her own solo songs, so she's really glad she could do my mai tonight

sakuchan says it was so good, because uisama is able to bring out things nobody else can

uisama says komiya-san was on standby for the song after and so she was probably watching, so she thought she had to do her best. it really felt like a song contest, because koichi-san didn't want to lose either

uisama says she hopes they can do ijigen a second time w

sakuchan says she as a liella member and a 5yncri5e member learned a lot from everyone and she hopes everyone will use the opportunity to work even harder (and maybe even towards a second time)

kouno says she's really glad they had a chance to interact with each other again after the live. she's so glad she was born in this era when she can watch it over and over again on disc!!!

kouri says everyone was amazing!!! everyone was cool and cute and wonderful, and she's realising how much love was in those two days. there's lots of variety among all the idols, and she heard some new ones joined recently, so she'd really like this to happen again!

ijigen radio (calling the imas seiyuu by family name since i dont know nicknames)

inoue says kan-san was amazing in how she always practised her choreography right up until she had to go on. kankan gets flustered and says inoue and shuka are amazing as well and they made her feel really comfortable. shuka says theyre both cute

inoue, shuka, and kankan were the first collab unit singing let's sail away on day 1, and theyre really grateful they got to be the top batters

after watching a clip of their performance kankan tells them how the other hasunosora members kept making fun of her for blocking her face with her hand mic when looking through the telescope she had made with her hands lmao (also brought up on mirapa radio). inoue tells her the actual move was making a telescope with one hand (with the mic in the other)

shuka says when aqours were given the choreography for dreamy color it was a kind of dance they hadnt really done before, so they thought it was nice to have grown a little. kankan and inoue gush over how beautiful they were performing it

they talked about the cute lotus image of the eien no euphoria choreo and since kankan and inoue collabed on both it and let's sail away shuka complains its unfair and she wants to do the lotus moves too lol (kankan: i wanted you to join too 🥺)

shuka's top song that left an impression on her was doing aozora jumping heart with everyone to open day 1

kankan was really moved by the other members working together with the senpai during the collab songs. also! one of her friends from university was in sukumyu (minamino hana) and theyve always wanted to perform on the same stage together someday, so she was really happy for it to happen at ijigen. she watched the sukumyu songs while backstage and liked that they started off the second half

inoue liked going on the carts! shuka is jealous aqours didnt get a go on those special big carts

inoue says akarin teased her during a rehearsal of ijigen big bang one time when she happened to be next to her and she got obsessed and every rehearsal after tried to find her to keep going. shuka tries to tsukkomi this but says this is something only kitou-chan can do. kankan's like "this bond of theirs is nice" and shuka's like "idk about a Bond" and then inoue's like "our bond has deepened because of the teasing." shuka then recommends this method to get close to people since it was april

the next behind the scenes anecdote is titled "she barged into aqours' dressing room!?" and shuka's like "this one could only be mine guys" when the others try and make it a mystery

shuka says kurosawa tomoyo came to hang out in aqours' dressing room, since even though she voices an imas girl, she also voices you's cousin tsuki! which made shuka feel weird since it was like looking at two different people. she talks about how they hung out and took videos together and kankan adds she saw them and that they have the same vibes. inoue says they do have the same kind of fun approachable aura

kankan's anecdote was how she was able to take lots of photos with her senpai, but the most memorable was the one with cyaron. she really wanted to take a photo with them but she was scared to ask since theyre her senpai. she was just outside the dressing room when she saw them and she must have been staring because furirin-paisen asked what was up and that's when she was able to speak to them and finally ask for a photo, and thats how she was able to have the confidence to talk to other senpai too. she says aqours are really good at closing the distance and shes really grateful they all posted the photos with her on twitter

shuka says there was pressure not to mess up the songs from the other work, and they were worried how the fans would feel, but theyre really glad P and love live fans accepted them. but even then behind the scenes was a pain w but everyone had fun! thats how she'd sum it up. it was fun!

Look twogami is a decent enough dude, he knows whats right and whats WRONG is ryotas diet.

mans is borderline anaemic! animating all day and being a shut in like hes cosplaying the next isekai protagonist isnt really gonna leave him with much to work with physically.

thats where the big man of the hour waltzes in.

It'd probably be slow at first; a big meal at the end of a big project with most animating sessions being fueled by snacks of all different types

I mean id argue at this point if twogami tired putting him on HIS own diet itd be a one way trip to toilet city

moving on however, as ryota gets used to snacks it simply just adds from there; more snacks in higher calories and quantity. One massive meal a week turning into 2, then 3, then almost daily.

of course after a while ryota goes from a twig to more healthy to kinda chubby. It's slow but no real physical activity meals that metabolism wont exactly be super fast.

Pretty soon Twogami wont need to hang around making sure ryota actually eats as the routine would've already set in and then itd be odd to NOT have snacks with him consistently.

Lather rinse and repeat for a good amount of time and pretty sure the weight would pile on pretty consistently.

since Ryota doesnt really go outside much i dont really expect his wardrobe to be much more than one suit for dress wear and mainly casual stuff. Which would have alot of stretch until his tummy would start peaking out from under the shirt and quickly pool overwaist bands.

Probably a little concerned for a while but Twogami would most likely assure him that hes simply eating well and tryna make sure he isnt malnourished, plus the sight of a plate of cupcakes quickly quells any worry too.

(Although dont tell him twogami got his suit upgraded...twice)

then i thought maybe ava??? cause that would make gleb's backstory pretty solid. but i was planning on having the ferin's be from a long line of royal guards that protected the tidestriders. so that would make little sense why some of the guards. wait maybe i could have like jayson be a royal guard but he betrayed them? and ava followed in her dad's footsteps?? it would also line up with like canon ava how she had 'personal reasons' for joining the navy (even though the navy is bad). and jay could think her sister is dead? but she isnt actually and that could make a rlly cool jay plot point in the fic.... hmm....

much to think about (if u have any other suggestions for characters feel free to scream about them)

im also figuring out how to do the kingdom gill and edyn are from. should it be underwater or above water? because there are pros and cons to both options

for the under water kingdom, it make much more sense for tritions to live in water. also it could create really pretty scenery options to write and going above water to "paris" (aka allport) could be a much more important point for gill. the cons are that its odd to have humans down there. like how so they breathe? are there certain areas with oxygen? how does pressure not kill them?? etc etc also its WAYY more complicated for worldbuilding n stuff.

for an above water kingdom, itd make much more sense for a population with lots of different races (humans, tritions, genasi, goliaths, etc) and its less complicated for me to write (world building wise) it makes more sense that jay and chip have lived their their whole lives yknow? cons are its much more boring and it doesnt rlly make sense for a trition kingdom to be above water. why are they above water when the ocean is their like natural home??

i think i might try something inbetween?? like there are different sectors of the kingdom. and underwater portion for ppl who breathe water and a portion for those how breathe air?? like the castle is underwater but the kingdom is split between land and water. and there are potions or some kind of plant that grants waterbreathing for human (like a type of coral that can be turned into a drink. would that be ethical to farm. ) like gill's coral. it would mainly be used by guests visiting for events and balls and other matters and also the servants and guards and staff. hmmm ok that might work.

i think thats most of the major kinks worked out?? 'paris' is a lil odd but ill probably just glorify all-port to be this fancy amazing place yknow! and im STILL not sure if i want the fic to be fnc or just platonic. cause romance is a decent plot point in the musical but also. i could easily replace it with just albatrio's friendship. i wish i could like write 2 versions but i do NOT have the time for that yknow :) although i would LOVE to write a romantic fnc 'in a crowd of thousands' :)) i might do that just as a lil oneshot as a divergence to the actual plot yknow

like bad’s dynamic with everyone else is so fun because theres always a specific bit that comes up and becomes an ongoing joke & its sweet that he lets people go crazy with a topic about him (im saying “let” very lightly LMAO). plus !! he’s a very very good balance to the rest of them, sorta like completion, with his personality compared to... everyone else. he makes it super entertaining whether its on purpose or not.

YESS everything you said is so right. he has like an embarrassing big brother dynamic with everyone where you can tell he genuinely cares about all his friends, but he’ll poke fun at them and he’ll let them make fun of him too and act like he's so annoyed while he probably finds it funny and entertaining (to an extent lol) as well. at the same time, you can tell that he is someone a lot of people go to for advice and to have genuine conversations with, and I think to see ppl interact with him like that irl could be really sweet

and omfg an irl cooking stream with badboyhalo and any of the feral boys would actually complete my life. the day I get to see him do stuff like shout language, try to hold back from laughing, and embarrass his friends w his little dad jokes and comments will be one of the best days ever. like istg i have so many clips from the hot wings stream and it's just of badboyhalo doing random shit and me finding it the funniest thing ever. idk what it is about him, but he really does make situations hilarious, exactly like you said, whether its on purpose or not. he adds a whole other layer to people’s dynamics and its so underappreciated and would be so entertaining to see when he meets up with people

Adrien is definitely gonna take Emilie’s place in a coma (A Theory)

Yeah so I mean the title of this is exactly what I’m pretty sure is gonna happen. This is because there has been a huge load of foreshadowing and some other subtler reasons I will be going over in this post. Of course, there’s always a chance it won’t happen, but if it didn’t I think I’d be pretty surprised considering just the amount of evidence thats going into this.

(Also sorry ahead of time for the structure of this, I tried to structure this based on my specific reasons for this theory but I kind of went off on tangents in some places and in others I use ideas that I assume come with the theory and don’t necessarily fit into any specific reason (like Emilie coming back to life and what would happen there, why Adrien and not Nathalie, and loosely how theyd get Adrien out of the coma), although I mosty stick to the structure I still want to add this disclaimer just so you’re aware that I wrote this in one go at midnight (also wait right now its 12:10am it is now ten minutes into my birthday??? ok ignoring that))

I dont know man. Just consider what I have to say. Or dont. I will be listing my reasons starting now.

1. Imagery of Adrien being in comatose state/ in a coffin-like thing.

This is surprisingly common??? Off the top of my head I can think of Style Queen and Riposte (I believe) which involve this. In Style Queen, Audrey in the form of her akumatized self had essentially kidnapped Adrien and put him in this gold/glass coffin thing that disintegrated the longer it remained untouched. The other one is Riposte, where Ladybug hides Adrien in that big sarcophogus in the Louvre (he didn’t stay in it but still the imagery is there.)

I also just remembered in Chameleon when Lila took Adrien’s form he was asleep/in a comatose state in that locker and Plagg was like “aw man am I gonna have to kiss him.....” but then Adrien wakes up because Lila stole someone else’s form

EDIT: another instance of Adrien/Chat Noir being shoved into a sarcophagus (besides Riposte) is in Pharaoh in season 1

So yes there is definitely a good number of foreshadowing for this. I might take this further and say if Adrien were to go comatose and be in the coffin Emilie was in then Felix might replace him for some amount of time?? Like impersonate him amd stuff?? Just because there’s lots of stuff in the show with impersonation I feel like it could work aNYWAY BACK TO THE EVIDENCE I KNOW ITS A TANGENT

2. Possible evidence foreshadowing Emilie *inadvertantly* killing (not killing but making comatose you get it) Adrien

This one is not as strong as the first but its worth considering. I was googling the word “mayura” just out of curiosity a while back and basically its a peacock in Hindu stories (like peacocks are a kinda revered animal) and I just initially found a couple websites that said that the mayura has been depicted eating a snake as a symbol of the cycle of time (you dont have to read this part in parenthesis, its just kind of a tangent: the cycle of time as known in Hinduism is another aspect of Hinduism directly referenced in the show: the horse/space miraculous kwami Kaalki’s name is a reference to the prophecied tenth avatar/reincarnation of the god Vishnu, and he is referenced in the Kalachakra tantra which is basically a Hindu book about the cycle of time. Keep in mind I got all this from wikipedia and other internet websites, I do not practice Hinduism and I dont directly know anybody who does, so if any of this is wrong pls lmk because there is surprisingly not a lot of information on the internet about it from what I could tell)

So anyways yes peacock (mayura) eating snake representing the cycle of time. Both Luka and Adrien are represented in the show as the snake, but ultimately I think the snake here represents Adrien just because it makes more sense (Snake Noir, future Alix’s tattoo depicts a snake to be Adrien and is meant to represent Adrinette, Adrien just has some shifty stuff going on with the snake in general etc) and thus, if Gabriel manages to actually get the ladybug and black cat miraculouses and make the wish to bring Emilie to life, then this “mayura” analogy (assuming Emilie as the mayura in this scenario) would make sense if her life brought upon Adrien losing his.

The reason I dont think it would refer to Nathalie even though her official name is Mayura is for pretty much two sub-reasons. The first is that I think she is going to die before this wish happens. I know, its a kids show, whatever, but consider it. The Agreste/Graham de Vanily family has a trend of having opposite names [I am so sorry I literally first heard this from a tumblr user but I cannot remember who I just remember they had made a string of theories on why Emilie Agreste will not be who she seems to be so credit to them I did not discover that] for example the name Gabriel means hero/angel, Felix means happy/fortunate, Adrien means dark, etc, and Nathalie Sancoeur means “birthday (of Christ)” and “heartless” respectively. We already know she is not heartless but rather full of heart because she has fallen in love with Gabriel. So then,,,,,,,,,, the opposite of birth is death. She’s already shown to be pretty sick too despite the peacock miraculous having been “fixed” (as of the New York special being the most recent piece of content). I’m sorry guys I do not make the rules

The second part of why I think this is a little stupid but. The original art released by Jeremy Zag for Mayura does not look like Nathalie. Plus this art was only released under the name of “the Peacock” (originally Le Paon in French) so it might not actually be the Mayura we know as of now. Now, theoretically, it could be that they had made this art before they knew they wanted Nathalie to be Mayura or just as art depicting what Emilie would have been like as the peacock miraculous holder, and it could literally just be Nathalie. When you compare the images, though, the original Mayura art looks far more like Emilie and a lot less like Nathalie. Yes I am aware this is stupid just know this is only a minor point

I dont know man those faces do not look the same to me and the original Mayura definitely had Emilie’s eye shape and face shape in mind. They might’ve changed it after making the concept art but my point still stands

Ok next reasoning

Again not a very strong point but sometimes dialogue just implies things in Miraculous and I can think of a very specific quote that would fit this happening, and there are probably more that I just dont know to look for since I dont have this whole show memorized

So the quote is from Startrain after Gabriel loses control of the akuma then learns about the Startrain having been akumatized with Adrien on board, and he says “hoping that my enemies will save my son..... how ironic.” When I first heard this quote I really, really felt like it was foreshadowing something just based on his tone and the way this new idea was being introduced of him having to be on the same side as Ladynug and Chat Noir for once, even if it was just temporary. This quote absolutely is indicative to me of a future event in which he’ll have to work with his “enemies” to save his son. A situation in which Adrien is in comatose would perfectly align with this. At least for how I would predict the show would make it, Gabriel would have to turn away from Emilie (who represents the past for him, and this action would therefore represent moving on) and join forces with Ladybug/Marinette, his “enemy”, to save Adrien.

Onto the last reason!

Emilie is probably definitely coming back. Which means someone’s going into a coma in her place.

I mean come on it would be so anticlimactic if they just caught Gabe before he fulfilled his wish. Plus with the way they are outlining Emilie to be this perfect golden being is definitely because its going to far contrast with how she will actually turn out. This doesnt really support the Adrien thing in particular but honestly it would also be anticlimactic of the coma was for anyone else. If it was Nathalie, then yeah itd suck for Adrien I guess but like???? Doesn’t really connect the plots as much. Whereas if its Adrien, that brings Marinette into it, that gives her a powerful as heck conflict. Im guessing they would also somehow resolve his coma with “the power of love” mentioned in the theme song, just because of the foreshadowing with like waking someone up with a true love’s kiss (think Plagg in Chameleon, I guess the rose in Style Queen, maybe Alya’s story to Manom in Stormy Weather if we’re strecthing it....)

TL;DR: Adrien is probably gonna go comatose (like Emilie did) at some point because its been pretty foreshadowed (think Style Queen, Riposte, and even Chameleon), because of the legend surrounding the Hindu “mayura” peacock eating a snake representing time (wow that was not a sentence ok then), because Gabriel has previously foreshadowed having to work with his enemies to save his son, and also just because it would be super awesome and allow each character involved to have a pretty fulfilling conflict and arc.

3. Is there anything new you want to try with your writing? A new genre? Style of writing? one day ill write an epistolary fic and maybe that day will be in 2022. mm.......i think a nonlinear narrative is a SUPER interesting format/style of writing, not sure if i'm like...skilled enough to pull that off but it might be nice to try. yeah i don't know! i'm always sort of trying to do something new in a way, so. who knows.

Is there a trope you’re going to leave behind? oh man, i don't know. i don't want to say i'll leave fake dating behind but i might be reaching a point of struggling to write it because there's only so many ways i feel like i can write it before it's no longer convincing. plus fake dating fics are inherently longer which means more of a commitment. also i think i can pretty safely say i'm not gonna write another amnesia fic lmao i think one is enough

A genre you want to mark off? i believe my word count goal for the year is...250k? i think that's what i set it as at the start of the year. i'm actually having a strange experience this year that i haven't had since i started writing band/rpf fic, which is that i started writing fic in other fandoms again, and posting them to my other ao3 account. so when i look at my total word count at the end of the year i'm going to have to add it up from the two different accounts, which is gonna be weird. like i think if i only look at my bellawritess posted word count at the end of the year it might not be 250k but i'll still have written 250k in total in terms of time spent sitting down writing and posting fanfiction. it just won't all have been rpf. genuinely i am so tired right now i cannot tell if any of these sentences are making sense with each other or by themselves. i hope you know what i mean
