My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. She has to take her insulin medication along with many others; however, she has run out of many of her medications.” Am on my knees requesting for donation. Target $450

how i make sure the fundraisers i share are legit
i've seen numerous people in the past few weeks talk about how they never know if a fundraiser is legit, so they don't "risk" sharing or donating. while we all know there are villains out there who will take advantage of the genocide for their own gain, we also need to remember to take care of those who are really victims.
we have a humane duty to help every person who needs it, who approaches us for it. there is always a risk involved when you donate to "unofficial" campaigns online in any capacity, but using it as an excuse to avoid taking action for palestine is a moral failure.
that being said, i thought i'd make a small list of things i personally do before i donate/share fundraisers to make sure they are verified.
i check the notes of the reblogs on the fundraiser post. more often than not, i find a link to the verification or an actual verification. for example, 90-ghost, specifically, is one to reblog a post and verify its legitimacy. many tags also indicate where/when/if the campaign is verified.
i check palestinian blogs that have taken up this duty/responsibility/burden. nabulsi, 90-ghost, fallahifag, fairuzfan, el-shab-hussein, and palipunk are just a few off the top of my head.
i check the gaza funds spreadsheet for the family's name, which is an incredible resource. note: the numbers of the spreadsheet aren't always aligned for some reason (ie, #181 on the list can sometimes mean #184 on the spreadsheet). take the time to properly look through this list.
i check my own mutuals' blogs. many of us get the same people in our ask boxes and sometimes my friends have verified campaigns themselves or they have sources to verifications.
my resources/methods are not exhaustive or perfect. i don't even know if what i do is enough/worthy - but the important thing is that i do it.
it'll never be time to give up on palestine. please, let's all make sure we do our part in liberating our fellow humans that we may all one day enjoy the freedom and justice that we deserve.

Donation scams
For pet donation scam information, go here.
What is a donation scam? - This kind of scam occurs when someone is asking for money but isn’t being genuine/honest for why they need it and upon closer inspection you’ll often find out their fundraiser information is stolen from someone else who needs support. For example, the text itself would pull up someone else’s fundraiser that’s posted on another site such as Facebook or Gofundme with names that don’t match up or certain details edited out or added from something else entirely. In a sense, the post doesn’t make much sense or seems to be mashed together from other places. These are scams because money given to them isn’t going towards their goal and also not going to the one who needs it.
Was there an ask sent? - Asks for these scams are varied with no common theme but they usually seem poorly worded and link you to their post which may be pinned. Usually they’ll be sent immediately after following you with no prior interaction even when they call you their friend. Sometimes they’ll say they see you share mutual aid posts too but that’s generally just some excuse they’ll use so you won’t be too suspicious of them. Legit people be warned: Spamming these asks will get people suspicious of you and asking you questions instead. If someone tells you to please limit them, it’s advised you try to. Don’t send these asks to anyone who has stated they don’t like them.
Is the account new? - Another common thing to check is the posting date of the posts on the blog. An account with a massive amount of posts dating across many years is generally a legitimate person if they have several original posts and overall appear to be a person. Unfortunately, scammers tend to backdate posts to make their blogs look older then they may be but rarely have that many original posts. By turning on timestamps, you can see the original posting date in other notes if they have shared posts. Usually the backdated posts are only a few days old but have been made to look years old. What is post backdating? Please refer to this post.
Does the story make sense? - Basically, how well does the story they give sound and does the information it has seem reasonable. Is there anything in it that seems too far fetched to be applicable to a situation? Such as stating they need money for someone’s funeral but the images they supply seem to be photoshopped. Or they have their name on a paper but there seems to be a filter over it which may be obscuring minor details from the original unedited image. You may notice the story also doesn’t give much information out that would be anything important like if a law applies to their situation but they don’t supply a general idea of what country their in. Sometimes the story changes after a few days too.
What else should you do? - If you still can’t figure out if someone’s legitimate, then you may try to nicely ask them questions related to their situation. These questions don’t have to be anything needing personal information; It can request clarity about something your unsure of or further explanation regarding a detail that doesn’t seem to make much sense overall. Most people don’t mind answering these questions as long as your being reasonable and friendly. Most usually will answer you. Unless they ignore you.
What if it is a scam? - Once you have gathered enough resources to confirm the post is by a scam account, it’s necessary to compile it into one place then make a post showing it or show them what you found as well. The scammer will most likely get really angry and deny your evidence and then block you and continue scamming people. Unfortunately it’s suggested to post the information yourself before confronting scam accounts.
Other stuff to look out for? - Asks being spammed; Mass tagging accounts who share mutual aid posts; Replies/reblogs are missing; Harassing people who proved they are scamming
How to report these accounts? - Report -> Something Else -> Illegal content or use -> Phishing
—
If you like this guide, feel free to check out my blog as I report on these scams nearly daily among other kinds of scams that I post about. If you like my hobby, feel free to drop some pocket change as thanks! However, all I really want you to do is share this post to help me bring awareness of tumblr scams. Send it to people who might not know what a donation scam is or link to it in posts you make! Thanks. Hope this information is helpful!

List of Palestinian Fundraiser Asks and Sources of Vetted Campaigns
This is a list of Gazans and campaign organizers who have left asks in my box - I'll keep updating this. Please consider donating if you can and reblogging if you can't. A lot of effort has been put in to vet campaigns and a lot of people are in dire need of help. I will keep re-sharing and updating this. (I do the best I can, but I don't have the skills to vet these personally, so for those who contact me I will only say if I can tell they're vetted). Updated 11/26/2024.
Here's a link to @gazagfmboost's post of lists of vetted fundraisers, which is far more comprehensive than anything I could manage on my own.
People who've left asks:
@fayezjadallah - 2 associated fundraisers, one for the two families involved and the other to provide medical treatment for a very young injured child: https://gofund.me/59476a39, https://gofund.me/b0a82c94
@aya2mohammed - https://gofund.me/0dc7f391 (vetted by el-shab-hussein and is about 2/3 of the way to their goal)
@motaz321 - https://gofund.me/c2e28bc1 (vetted by 90-ghost)
@ahmed4palestine - https://gofund.me/1d8bb3df (vetted by 90-ghost, original account deleted but campaign near goal)
@hanyfamily - https://gofund.me/03d12215 (vetted through association with other vetted campaigns and funds are very low)
@hayanahed - https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-save-the-lives-of-my-family-in-gaza (verified by Operation Olive Branch)
@alaa-syam - https://gofund.me/6bdcd329 (verified by Bees and Watermelons)
@mahmoidsy - https://gofund.me/463cbf01 (verified by Bees and Watermelons)
@ahmed--basil (associated with @osamabasilps and @anasbasilps, multiple campaigns, same family) - https://gofund.me/100da7db (verified by multiple sources linked in this post) and https://gofund.me/ace8d602 (verified by association with previous).
@farahh2003 - http://gofund.me/73d4b003 (verified by @apollos-olives)
Safaa Yasser - Please see el-shab-hussein's post vetting her campaign to get her family out of Gaza, there are multiple accounts going around using this name. This is a paypal fundraiser.
@amanyay556 - https://gofund.me/7e428359
@familygazaamal and @familygazaamal1 - https://gofund.me/27f2d7bb (Looks unvetted but likely legit)
@mahmoud66262 - https://gofund.me/9f771d26 (Multiple accounts, reblogging original account, all link to same campaign).
@aboodalqedra-2 - https://gofund.me/fe516b98 (They have multiple accounts reblogging each other, looks like at least one got deleted).
@hala-blo - https://gofund.me/75b52b8a (Looks new, couldn't find it on the vetted lists yet).
@ahlamramadan - https://gofund.me/61f1dd1f (says vetted by gazavetters)
@wejdan-32 - https://gofund.me/d571a6e8 (appears unvetted)
@mohammednasers-blog - https://gofund.me/037ab078 (appears unvetted)
@mohamednaser1995 - https://gofund.me/3bcb5b4e (Correction: is verified by association with @hanaa-yousef3's campaign! Connected to @musicfren's blog, along with three other campaigns)
D_imthael - https://gofund.me/ce4f39d0 (Looks like their original tumblr was deleted, couldn't find vetting confirmation)

Once again, if you're getting desperate Asks in your inbox begging for money for medical help, for refugee help, for pets, etc:
No legitimate blog should ever be asking for money that way. They'll make a public post and have people share it.
(Also please check the various charity subreddits for aid, and there are some specific blogs on Tumblr that do check and promote actual donation posts.)
These scammer blogs will look legit at a glance; they have icons, headers, descriptions, and seem to have a lot of posts. What they're counting on is you not being able to read the language of their description (when you can, it's often a repeat of their donation request), and see that they have many reblogged posts.
But the only original post is their pinned donation request. Maybe a pet post. They reblog a lot, but many of the reblogs are repeats, and they only began reblogging them a few days ago--they count on you not scrolling far enough, especially if Tumblr's giving you issues.
The timestamps on the earliest several posts of the one that just messaged me, for instance:
They have dozens of reblogs, most of them for an hour on Wednesday morning. They have a few from today, changing up from a spate of Palestine-related posts to a few random other things. None of the posts they reblog are more than two months old (easily nabbed from the top of tag searches) and most are only within the last couple days, just grabbing what's on top of the searches and tabs.
They never have a custom blog URL, making going to the archive to check difficult, too.
If they're actively monitoring the blog replies, they block and hide replies and reblogs that point out the scammy appearance of their blog and posts.
They are relying on emotional manipulation and general kindness to get you to donate money to them by pretending to be in desperate need, but nothing in their behavior indicates they're a real person from a war-torn region, or in dire medical straits.
It's an update of the "please help save my pet" scams. Don't fall for it, keep your accounts safe, and use your money and reblogs to help those actually needing help.
Report and block them and delete from your inbox.
#Scammers#donations#blogging#tumblr#I really hate these scams cuz it does make it harder for those in need#while also harming more people who just want to help others#also these are the worst kind of scum to create these fictions & prey on folks#And you have to know how to dig & how Tumblr behaves to really see it & most folks won't take the time

Hey friend, I hope I can ask a favour from you. I’m a black non-binary lesbian going through a tough phase as Both of my parents are openly homophobic and transphobic. I've organised a crowdfunding to solicit for support to evacuate my home, it's been help for me. Please consider to donate to my pinned link on my profile if you can Reblog and share my pin post to reach a large audience with support . Anything helps at the moment.🙏❤️
Alright everyone, time for an impromptu lesson on how to spot scam asks!
The first sign that this message is a scam is honestly that someone is sending me this message at all, especially since I don't interact with the person enough to recognise their name. I'm sure that 99.9% of donation messages will be spam messages set up by accounts specifically designed to get money out of people, enough that I will delete these by default. I don't think I've ever had a genuine one. But if messages like this tug on your heartstrings enough to want to find out, let me show you how to do that.
The first warning sign is that I'm not following them. Maybe they're a longtime follower of my account though, and I might want to help them in that case, so to check that, I go to my account page, scroll down to the blog that was sent the message, and click on followers.
There I can type in alicesgarcia's blog name in the search, to see if she's following me. But I don't have to because I can see that she's right at the top of my follower list. This is a bad sign--it means she's followed me recently. To check this, I go to my notes and filter for followers only.
I left my ask notifications on too, and from this, I can see they actually sent me the ask BEFORE they followed me. Definitely a scam.
But let's say I want to go deeper. Maybe they're not my follower, but perhaps they are a genuine long-time tumblr user in a hard time--after all, they're a black non-binary lesbian with bigoted parents. That's all of my weak spots in one! I really want to support someone in that situation (Which, of course, I do, I'm on tumblr. This scam is highly targeted, and they s know what will get my sympathy).
So let's check out her blog. She's got a lot of posts, but they're all photo posts, which is another red flag. Though I'm scrolling and scrolling, most of the posts were made 1 day ago, with another big dump 5 days ago. There's a LOT of posts, too much to scroll through. This is deliberate, to make her look legit and discourage people from seeing the date of her first post. But by offsetting posts hundreds at a time (see address bar), I can find her first post.
And there we go--their first post was made five days ago. Definite scam. These are all huge red flags, but you don't need every one of them to tell you it's a scam. Any single one of these should have given me enough doubt that I would just click the block button. New follower? Scam. New blog? Scam. Blog all one type of post? Scam. No interaction with other blogs? Scam. Even the fact that she was so vulnerable and marginalised is a huge warning sign (you're being targeted), as is the fact that her blog just doesn't make her feel like a real person.
Look for ALL of these things. A good scam might set up a blog a month in advance and make personalised posts to gain your trust, or get the login of an old blog and use their age to make them look legit. Keep digging, and keep making sure that what you're seeing tracks with this being a real person in genuine need.
And if you're going to signal boost, even if you're not donating your own money, PLEASE do these basic steps before you post or reblog. Let's protect each other from this.

Hello, 👋
I hope you are in better condition.
I am contacting you to ask for your assistance. Can you please reblog this post to help me save my family? I'm new to Tumblr and GoFundMe, and we desperately need your support 🙏❤️.
Thank you 🌹
hi bilal, thank you for reaching out. i can absolutely share your fundraiser - i hope it helps you and your family get the attention you need to evacuate, and i am sending love and hope to all of you.
as bilal said, his blog is new and thus has yet to be verified, but by looking at his twitter i'm fairly certain his campaign is legit. despite being open since april 21, his campaign has raised only €95 / €80,000. please share so that his campaign can get the attention to get verified

guys, my anon messages are now on for anyone who want to send an ask to verify if a fundraising post here on tumblr is legit or a scam.
please stop bothering Palestinian users who have explicitly said they don't wanna recieve asks of this nature.
there are also several guides around that list tips on how to spot a scam post which i will be reblogging presently. please do read and follow through those steps if you come across a blog you suspect is running a scam. For fundraisers outside of tumblr, I can take a look but I can't guarantee that I'd be able to verify them.
please also share and donate to the already vetted fundraisers being circulated by Palestinian users here. Let's make sure to focus our efforts on the more important things and remember that at the end of the day, it matters more that you donate to and boost a confirmed fundraiser than that you are able to bust a fraudulent one.

Alternatives To DownWithPatreon 2023
Okay, as you can see I deleted the old pinned post cause I felt like maybe it needed some updating. Some stuff will be the same but some stuff has changed.
Sims Galaxy
They have some old and new content available, unfortunately you have to sign up so it's up to if you want to or not.
Sims4planet
If you were trying to find the old sims 4 planet, but couldn't it's cause they updated their site it seems.
TS4 Rebels
Right now the vault is down and they are under maintaince! So please be patient until they get everything up and running again, for the time being they are using notion..
Dollhouse Mafia 2
Telegram group chat, they put a lot hard work into this group so please be respectful and read the rules/guide. This is legit cc heaven right here, please join cause you will be blown away on how much content is being graciously donated. I am grateful for this group!
SimsFinds
Yes, I know you guys hate this site but it's a pretty decent site for finding newly released content. I believe they stopped taking paywalled content and only post whats free or been released so yay no more paywalls!? I don't know about anything else, however, it's neatly organized and easy to navigate and find
content on.
Paysitesmustbedestoryed
The O.G, unfortunately they're no longer updating but so now they are archive and I belive all of DWP's items are there as well. So you can find some old gems there if that's what you're looking for.
Sims-New
This site is awesome, has sims 4 and 3 content available, old and new. You can sign in with your google or whatever account you have. So far it's very safe and I haven't had any problems with the site.
Alright well that's it for now, hopefully in the near future we will have more sites and places like this who help share content and fight against these wack ass paywalls. So if you have any other alternative sites similar to DWP or blogs that I don't know about, feel free to shoot me a message and I will add to the list. Happy cc finding/shopping! =)
PS: Thank you to all those who have made this possible you been a big help in this.

I have noticed that most of the messages in my inbox are people requesting help so I have compiled a list of all of their blogs + fundraiser links. The link to this list will be provided in my pinned intro for more visibility.
If you wish to be a part of this list, let me know in my inbox so I can add you to it. At the same time, I will also be looking out for people to add to share their fundraisers.
(Not all of these blogs are vetted. While I have done my best to go through them and check whether they're legit or not, please use your own judgement before donating. If I've made any errors regarding the links provided or scam updates, let me know in my DMs).

Donation scams

To report scam posts, the original way was this: Report -> Something else -> Illegal uses or Content -> Phishing
This guide is from my other account, but I’m reposting it here as a backup. If you found this guide useful, please let me know and share it to your friends.
