well the recent episodes have had a distant feeling to them, focusing more on the events then the characters but I would still recommend watching them.

That's probably what I need because I'm starting to not like Eleven and I thought I'd like Oswin--she was great in her dalek episode--but I'm worried Moffat's going to fuck it up. So if the episodes are less about them, then there's less opportunity for me to dislike them any more than I already do.

well Uhura is here (and I just got a comm from her, she needs backup) and they created a new female character named T'Mar, but I fuckin' hate T'Mar because she's supposed to be a Vulcan but she has bright blue eyes and a very non-Vulcan hairstyle and outfit, and she got her dumb ass captured. Plus they're like "oh she's Spock's childhood friend" but Spock didn't have any childhood friends so fuck that. To be honest there aren't very many characters besides the crew anyway. Like, it's Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, and Chekov, random crew members running around, T'Mar, and some admiral dude that already got himself killed by the Gorn.
