The shirt from the race that made me question if I was capable of doing a hundo with the belt buckle I earned completing the hundo. I’ve never been more proud of my body. . . . For those wondering I’m feeling nearly 100% today. The only problem I’m having other than general fatigue after a hard race is that my feet are still a tad swollen and I did end up with two nasty blisters I’ve had to deal with. It took tons of self-care yesterday to feel this good today. . . . The weather just can’t seem to make up its mind in early March. I ran in snow flurries yesterday after we have had a fairly mild winter here in East Tennessee. . . I’m in the full on taper mode right now for my Hundo and I’m surprisingly calm after dialing in my walk pace and doing a few run/walks. Ultras are a different beast. Did someone say #medalmonday? . . . This weekend was my first ever double race weekend AND my first double digit training weekend for the #pistolultra in March. While I didn’t hit my sub-4 goal, I did get 39.3 miles finished in two days, giving me my first ever 50+ mile week! (52 if you wanna get technical).
