JACK RUSSELL RETIRES AFTER DEMENTIA DIAGNOSIS: Jack Russell announced his retirement from the road after diagnoses of Lewy bodies dementia and multiple system atrophy.

“I am unable to perform at the level I desire and at the level you deserve,” the Great White singer said in a statement.

“Words cannot express my gratitude for the many years of memories, love and support. Thank you for letting me live my dreams. You have made my life a wonder.”

BEN TAKES BREAK FROM PPPP: Mononym bassist Ben is taking a hiatus from Pigeons Playing Ping Pong “for personal reasons,” the group said in a statement offering its “full support” to their bandmate.

Former Twiddle bassist Zdenek Gubb will perform with the PPPP for the time being.

“Please join us in sending love to Ben,” the group said.

MICHAEL HOUSER SOLO RECORD HEADING TO VINYL: Michael Houser’s Door Harp will make its debut on vinyl via Widespread Records Aug. 9.

The instrumental LP is a “remarkable glimpse into (the late Houser’s) musical mind,” his former Widespread Panic bandmates said in a statement.

ZAPPA FOR PRESIDENT MAKES VINYL DEBUT: The 2016 compilation album Frank Zappa for President has been released on vinyl, including limited-edition red, white or blue copies.

“Participate in democracy,” the Zappa estate said in a statement. “Register and vote.”
